"I am sure Shinsou and Kita has kept you updated in a few of the areas - especially with Vale; however, one thing we kept from Kita was that Vale's memories have returned." He watched as Gin's eyes narrowed to near slits as Kisuke raised his hand to calm him. "He is still human and there have been no signs of Chinmoku nor has there been signs of his former personality. We have been keeping a very close eye on him since this all took place."
Kisuke paused, shaking his head. "Two things though. We believe he has a God working with him," Kisuke's eyes narrowed, "and with my findings from going to Las Noches and just watching and digging around .... I believe they have found a way to raise Aizen from the dead."

Gin blinked, knowing that was impossible. Surely with a God's help, Aizen was... But if it could be.....
Gin stumbled - sprang - from his seat. He grabbed Kisuke by the font of his kimono, eyes like daggers, clear and violent. “Explain on both accounts,” he whispered slowly. “But first, answer one question. If you believe that to be true, why are the children still here?! and not hidden away somewhere?! Are you trying to get a repeat of the last decade?!”

Kisuke pried Gin's hand from his shirt front and made him sit back down before he fell over. His eyes narrowed slightly at the man. "There has been no sign of Aizen. Not even a hint. Don't you think if there were an immediate threat, we would be long gone from here?" Kisuke adjusted his hat, his eyes softening slightly. "Hold your temper Snake until you get all the details."
He paused taking a sip of his tea as Gin settled back down in his own. "When you went into the coma, Soul Society was attacked by the Espada Koga and Vale Tervaden. Vale almost killed Kyoraku. Beat him to death then turned Chinmoku on him. If it had not been for Isana and Kita, we would have lost him. Soul Society was destroyed by Koga's bird bombs of fire. The fire he set upon it burned it to ruin." His head shook. "The God of Fire, Alister, came to Soul Society and decided to make compact with us to put the fires out since we could not with the way they were burning.”
Gin looked at Kisuke, confused. So Kisuke explained. “The fires fed on the energy in Soul Society. So no matter what we tried, the fires only burned hotter and faster.”
“What was the deal he made?” Gin questioned Kisuke.
“He sealed all Zanpakutos and took Kyoraku’s sight. However, it did not last for the ten years like the God said when he was going to withhold them from us. As a matter of fact, they were released shortly after Sumi came back from talking with the Soul King. It was also at that point I saw Sumi starting to withdraw from us. She keeps to Kita and Kita only."

Gin tapped his fingers along the table, mind rapidly working through the details. Not amused, he looked up at the shopkeeper . "You think there's something more to this other God, don't you?" he asked slowly, eyes still near slits. "The one with the high price tag?"

"There is more to him. He was the one that made Vale human and took his memories." Kisuke watched as Gin's face contorted. "We found Vale on the front doorstep of the shop when we returned back from dealing with Soul Society that night. Vale could remember nothing. I locked him up for three months. Tested him, watched him. There was nothing that man did I did not know about. When I finally released him, the two of us sat and talked. He decided to tell me of a dream he had. However, it was not a dream."
Kisuke sighed rubbing the back of his neck, "Vale knows this God."

Gin sent a muted glare towards his empty bowl as his stomach redoubled its call for more food. "I really don't like the picture you are painting, Kisuke. Of all people to get a god's help, I would put the shadow right next to Aizen in the 'not desirable' pile. Next, you will be saying that this God gave him his memories back." When Kisuke lowered his hat, Gin growled and clenched his hand.
"Is there anything good to report about this development of a god as our enemy, shopkeeper?!"

Kisuke gave him a slight smirk. "I was able to get some information from Kita about Sumi's visit to the Soul King. It seems both Gods have had limits set on them by the Soul King. If they interfere in any way, they will be pulled back to the Godly realm. This works against us and for us with dealing with the God that is on Vale's side."
Kisuke perked up and smiled warmly. "That's about it for the bad news. Would you like the worst news now?"

Gin raised an eyebrow. "Out with it," he muttered, not really angry with Kisuke but more than annoyed at the danger looming over his family.
"Today's Kita's birthday and I don't have a gift for her yet." His hands came up in a shrug as he tilted his head to the side. Gin blinked and then chuckled. "Crazy old man." He smirked. "I think I can help you there. Want to find me some more food and then, before she gets back, put me back to bed? I can be your present~"

Just as Gin said that, Tessai walked out with more food for him. "Ask and you shall receive. Well..." Kisuke shrugged, "at least from Tessai."
Gin thanked Tessai as Kisuke then reached over poking Gin in the shoulder. "And what makes you think Kita is going to rush to your side when she comes homes after work? She does have a party to get ready for at the Kurosakis. Which - I may add - does not mean you get to tie up all her time."
He then scratched his head. "Come to think of it, you might have your hands full tonight."

Gin folded his arms. “And what makes you think I will go to this little party?” he asked. “I’ve never been one for them. I stayed on the roof when you and your little pussy threw your crazy shindigs with the freeloaders.”
He sighed. “Then again, I don’t think I could make it to a roof now. And I don’t want to either be the reason for Kita’s slump or keep her away from those who kept her happy in the meantime. Who all is coming?” he asked with only a slight grumble.

Kisuke's hat came off quickly and smacked Gin over the head, as quickly as it happened it was back on his head like it never moved. "Did you just hear yourself? Kita followed you to the pits of hell - endured shit she should have never even dreamed of - just to save your ass and you're talking about not attending? Not just ONE party with her, but her own Birthday Party?" Kisuke shook his head.
"You should be ashamed of yourself, Ichimaru. Not only that! She has been faithful to your sleeping ass for the last eight years, and it not like she has not had offers."

Gin rubbed his head. "You misunderstood me, dumb ass," he hissed. "I am going because it is Kita's special day. And that's the ONLY reason. Why do you think I asked about how many people are coming?" He picked up his new rice bowl and started dipping the fried fish into the sauce. "And here I thought you understood me..."

Kisuke chuckled as he shrugged. "Can't tell you that. Yuzu and Karin put this together. I am sure they got the list of Kita's friends from Vacanze, Yumiko and Ichigo since they seem to be her best friends." He took a sip of his tea.
"Oh, two more things I should let you know. One: We have a new breed of Arrancar. They are highly powerful and have been heard to be called the Ayakashi. Two: You have a hit out on your head from your favorite brat."

Nodding at the mention of a stronger enemy, his eyes then rolled at the mention Tsukiro Ashimitsu. “Why am I not surprised?” He finished his bowl of rice and fish and started sipping the miso soup. He paused, eyes narrowed. “Is it only me he wants to murder or is it my son, too?”
If that were the case, the brat would be getting a lot more than a simple beating when confronting the fox.

"He adores Sojiro. So much to the point he is willing to hang himself out to dry with killing you to free not only the masses from your torment, but Sojiro and Kita as well." Kisuke looked from under his hat at Gin. "He is not the same kid you remember, Ichimaru. He has grown, gotten stronger. He doesn't think like he used to. He can control his temper almost as well as I can control mine."
He took a sip from his cup and smirked over it at Gin. "I am not saying he can kick your ass or anything. I am just saying beware." With a brief pause Kisuke announced, "Oh! Now Kita on the other hand. She could kick your ass, and not because you would let her." He chuckled softly as he looked on at Gin.
