Naomi flushed slightly as she thought to herself. "It's alright Yumiko. I may not know what you are going through, but I am hoping one day I will be with child and you can help me through the procedure." She giggled softly. "I could see Kai now."
She giggled again covering her mouth. "He would be a nervous wreak. He would never let me out of his sight. I would be chained to him. Father would probably be just as bad." She looked to her friend. "It would be nice to have a little Kai junior running around," she smiled brightly. "but first I have to get Kai to propose to me and we get married. That's the first step in all this." She then sighed as her head shook slowly and her eyes cast down to the table. "What's wrong, Naomi?" Yumiko asked her.
"I don't see Kai as the marrying type. Sure he loves me," she looked up at Yumiko. "But I just don't think he would ever ask me to marry him. Not with the way things are with Aizen."

Yumiko reached across the table and took her friend’s hand. “Don’t worry. Doesn’t it take a long time for any member of the Gotei to ask about that? And it’s been a very involved last few years, and then you were prisoners…” She fell silent at that and the smiled again. “Didn’t you tell me that you were the one to get your relationship going? Maybe you need to do the same here. He seems to be very serious about his duties. Maybe he needs a nudge.”

"But I don't want to nudge him on this. I want it to be his idea. I don't want him to feel like I am rushing him or trying to force him to do this. I want him to realize we have been courting for almost twenty years. Its time to stop being boyfriend and girlfriend and move to the next level of this relationship."
She sighed looking down to the table again. "Father said he was going to talk to him. Tell him to either cut me lose of finally take my hand in marriage." She shook her head quickly. "I asked him not to interfere. I did not want bad feelings between him and Kai if things went wrong somehow." She looked up at Yumiko again and smiled slightly. "I can wait I guess. He knows what's best for us. He always has made good choices for the two of us."

Yumiko’s heart clenched at her friend’s words and glanced down into her cup. “If you don’t tell him…” she paused, mind on the past, “he won’t know what you want and won’t have a chance to tell you what he wants..."
Sighing, she looked up again. “You’re both a part of this war, but you’re not central pieces. Still, he’s focused enough that he might not say anything unless he either sees someone else get married or someone gives him a hint.” She ran her hand over her cup. “You know him much better than me. It’s up to you. Just don’t… stay silent if you feel something needs to be said.”

Naomi nodded slowly as she smiled honestly at her friend. "I guess I will. Maybe he needs a reminder of how long we have been together. I know guys tend not to pay attention to that stuff."
"Maybe fix him a nice dinner one night and the two of you sit and talk. Bring it up causally, maybe like a question. So it does not seem like you are nudging or forcing it on him." Yumiko advised her.
Naomi smiled nodding quickly. "That sounds wonderful. Now just to find a day he is free to do this and don't have to rush out after us being together for a couple of hours."

Yumiko shared her expression and let her continue with her planning, eye returning to her cup. She really shouldn’t be the one helping her with everything that had happened. But then again, Naomi had come to her, and she had to have done some things right. Her hand shook around her cup before she took a breath and stroked her stomach. She took another bite of banana bread.
“You okay?” Naomi asked. Yumiko opened her eyes to see her friend leaning over the table towards her, eyes wide.
Yumiko managed another smile and sipped at her juice. “I’m okay. I’m just happy for you.”

"Well I am happy for you. You were blessed with a tiny life to nurture and raise. You're going to be a wonderful mother." She smiled brightly at her friend giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "And you create wonderful new memories as mother and child. the past will become a distance memory for you."
She took a sip of her juice as the clock on the wall struck the hour. She looked the way of the clock as her eyes widened and sprung from her seat. She bowed quickly to Yumiko. "I am sorry but I really have to be going. Captain Komamura is going to have my behind. I am late in getting back."
She rushed around the table and gave her friend a hug as she rose from the table. "I am free for the weekend. That is if Kai and I can't seem to get together. Maybe we can go do some shopping? Have lunch?"

“Lunch would be good,” Yumiko agreed. After the embrace, she wrapped the banana bread in cloth and handed it to her friend. “We’ll see about shopping. It’s getting to be tiring to walk around too much with the child inside me.” Naomi giggled. “Don’t worry. You can lean on me.” She hugged Yumiko again, thanked her for the bread, and ran off. Yumiko returned to the table and canceled the shield around her house. Returning to the table, she continued to eat her piece of the bread, one hand on her stomach, soothing the little bundle of warmth as it kicked. “I will make new memories, but there are some that won’t go away, that are still painful. And yet,” she smiled and wiped at a stray tear, “they’re becoming more bearable.” Thanks to the energetic gift inside her. ~ END RP ~

"White Knight": Yasu rested on her knees, her hands in her lap as she looked to the frail figure on the floor next to her. His white hair slowly transition back to its original black. She sighed as the emaciated body grew lean and muscular as he took a deep breath.
"You will have to do this without him." she whispered. "That pain is unbearable. And, even if time is turned, the pain of that memory will linger. So, it serves no good for me to do anything."
She looked away from the man as he took another deep breath. "Yes." she said, answering a question that had not been asked. "It would seem best if I returned him instead. He is the shield of the Soul Society, after all." Yasu smiled as she looked back at the man. "But it is you, above all others, that he trusts to shield him. So, who better to bring back than the shield...of the shield?"
"You will be without your god and the protection it gave you. So, to ensure your life, you will go without the illness that weakened you."
Yasu leaned over, brushing strands of black hair from his face. She tilted her head. "White suits you, Knight." She leaned over and kissed his forehead as his hair turned white again. Yasu sat up as she shrugged her kimono from her shoulders. Pulling the kimono from around her, Yasu draped it over the man's body. As Yasu sat back on her knees, bright green eyes stared back at her.
"Welcome back."- END RP - "Return of the White Knight":

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 410 "Broken Promise": Juushiro sat on his veranda with a late cup of tea. He’d returned to his family estate today. His siblings managed the estate with their large families, and somehow, they they had been spared from the worst of the assault on Soul Society. They had weathered the resets with more quiet acceptance than most, too, perhaps due to the first blessing on their household, that of his long life despite the constant presence of his illness. Most of his family were pacifists and had low enough reiatsu to remain out of the Gotei as well. It was always a pleasure to spend a few days or weeks with them, from playing in the gardens with his younger nieces and nephews to letting the evenings linger at the table with his siblings and those of the family approaching adult age, a couple of which had expressed wishes in trying to join the Gotei tonight. Time was moving on. His ward and surrogate daughter had moved onto the estate as well after the reset. He’d wondered if she would stay at the shop again, but she had chosen not to. Even if that would be where she could see Vale. Instead, she continued to volunteer at the Fourth Division and set some distance from herself with the others in Karakura. She seemed to be trying to find a balance between putting walls up and reaching out. At least, she wasn’t completely isolating herself this time. He lifted his cup and took a sip, sighing. Today, he had set at least one more on the road to healing, he hoped, but he had not shown them an easy path. By revealing the complicated truth to Fuu, he’d given Kita the choice to forgive herself for her part in the slaughter that had followed but when the truth were printed, he had also set up many in the Gotei 13 to remembering their calling in the Soul Society when so many were weakened from their loss. By bringing to light the sacrifices that had been the crux of their hope for defeating their greatest nemesis. By confessing that even some of the greatest among them needed to reach out, admit their weakness, and work with others to be strong enough for some of the challenges the soul realm forced on them. Juushiro closed his eyes, praying that the right messages would come through when the interview resumed, when the final story was released to all. This was the only way to reach all of them in some way, but only time would tell if it would it be enough. Hearing floors creaking but sensing the person wandering before she reached that point, Juushiro set those worries aside. "It's rather late to be up now. Shall I make more tea?"

Yumiko shook her head. “I already had some, but I still can’t calm down. Not enough to go back to sleep.” She adjusted the shawl on her arms and sat down next to her mentor, tucking her sleeping kimono around her legs to keep the chill out. “Sometimes a walk helps.” She leaned against a pillar.
“You don’t have to stop for me,” Juushiro murmured. “You’re safe in these walls.”
“As safe as anyone else is,” Yumiko returned, but her words lacked any accusation or bitterness.

Juushiro could have left that statement alone. It was late and the night had a way of making people acknowledge the details they would otherwise not speak about. But she had suffered enough.
“Perhaps that is true. No one is as safe as we wish now that Aizen has returned to his former strength, but it does not stop us from looking for times or places where we find solace and protection. That choice to believe is important and I hope that you have found that here.”
Yumiko closed her eyes and nodded. “Somehow, yes, I have. I don’t regret coming here.”
Juushiro looked to her. “Yumiko, you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to, but I wish to ask. Do you regret not spending more time at Karakura?”

Yumiko sighed and shook her head again. “I do not. Most of the time.” She looked out at the stars. “I have always been grateful to Urahara’s family for letting me stay when I have, but it has never been home. It’s my best friend’s home but it wasn’t mine.” She lowered her head, a lock of hair falling out of her braid. “No matter how much I hoped otherwise. And after the takeover, that - that hurt.”
Juushiro covered her hand, squeezing hers when she didn’t pull away. It helped as the emotions started swamping her again. Breaking free of their confines.
She closed her eyes to keep more tears at bay, but more words tumbled out. “I- I have wanted it to be. Ever since I started spending time there. But it wasn’t enough. It didn’t replace-”
She bit her lip, hand tightening on the captain’s. Would he turn her away if she said it aloud? Would she hurt him?
“I’m sorry.”

Juushiro kept his hand in hers, his eyes closing as he sent a wave of warming kido towards her. Trying to keep her trembling from getting worse in her distress. “You don’t have to tell me anymore now unless you want to, but I know you’ve had a revelation that’s eating you alive. I don’t know how long it’s been there — and maybe you didn’t acknowledge it for a while — but you haven’t been able to ignore it anymore.”
He turned her hand over and covered hers with his own. “Nothing you say will turn me away from you. I promise you.”
He hesitated and then spoke again when she didn't retreat. “If you can continue, I will listen. I don’t need to do anything more.”

“Listening isn’t enough!” Yumiko shouted before stiffening at the rage and shame strangling her. Hissing an intake of breath, she buried her head in her hands. Tears fell freely down her face. “This is wrong. It always has been, but if I don’t admit it, I’ll never escape. I have to. I can’t be happy there. With Vale. With anyone. With-”
“Sousuke…”
Yumiko froze, so many tumultuous emotions flooding through her, and then sprang to her feet. Still sobbing, she was vaguely aware of her teacher, mentor, her second father behind her. She halted and dug her fingers into her palms, letting the pain ground her, keep her from striking out. “He saved me!” she screamed.
She fell to her knees afterwards, her fears choking her again.
