Ichigo leapt in front of Kisuke. "Like HELL you're getting away with any killing here, snake!" he spat, Zangetsu shaking in his hand. "Damn it, Ichimaru, you're pitiful and the worst kind of person alive. At least Aizen didn't continue with his lies after becoming king of Las Noches with most of us. How many chances have we given you and you've turned around again?! Well, this is the last time I let-" He leapt forward only to be restrained by Ukitake.
"Captain Ukitake, come on," he said, pulling his arm free, "even you should realize this is a lost cause." Another arm grabbed his leg. Kisuke again. "Come on, old man, this one's beyond saving. Stop holding me back." |

Juushiro shook his head at the substitute, his eyes narrowed at the broken form of the fox. "You're wrong, Ichigo. I don't think he's completely gone, or he wouldn't be clinging onto Kita or the child this much. He's determined to leave with them." He looked to Kisuke who had pulled himself back up on his feet. "He's not calling you by name or any of the titles he gave you either."

"What the HELL does that mean?" Ichigo growled, dark eyes locked with the snake's, unwilling to give the monster an inch of movement without him knowing about it. He clenched his hands around his blades, considering.

Kisuke turned facing Gin once more. "I don't care." Kisuke growled from between gritted teeth as he talking to Juushiro, but faced Gin. "I won't allow it. I won't allow him to walk out of here with Kita."
Kisuke's head turned quickly when he heard Kita's voice at the doorway.

"I will follow my Master where he goes." Kita said entering the room as she brushed past everyone to Gin's side. She wrapped one arm around him giving him support the other hand resting gently on his chest so he would not double over.
"Even if it was to the deepest darkest pits of hell. I would go, and none of you can or will stop me in doing so."
She looked to Gin in his weakened condition. "But right now in the shape he is in we are going nowhere." She looked to Kisuke. "If you do not want us here I will take him some place else, but if you do not mind, I would like to finish his healing here."

Some of the tension in Gin’s coiled body disappeared with Kita at his side again. He chuckled at her words and lifted his blade away from its angle on the shopkeeper. “Well, shopkeeper, which will it be? Dragging her in her fragile condition might damage my son, so I think I’ll listen to the pet’s request,” he smirked, “that is, if you will let this snake under your roof any longer."
"You do seem to have grown quite a grudge against me," he purred, eyes dancing in wicked delight.

Juushiro squeezed Ichigo's shoulder to keep him in place and set his other hand on his friend's. "Grant her request, Kisuke," he whispered. "While they're here, we can consider how to undo this and how to protect Kita." |

Kisuke growled, he could not deny what Juushiro said, nor could he deny Kita in any sense. He turned from both Kita and the snake a glance shot toward Juushiro. "There is no hope for that Snake. I should have learned that five years ago. Then we would not be in this mess now."
Before he step from the room he answered Kita's lingering question. "I will allow you to keep the snake here and heal him, Kita. But as soon as that bastard is healed he is out. I just hope you have opened your eyes enough to realize you do not need to follow him in the condition you're in and you let him leave alone."
He stopped at the door, turning he looked solely at Kita. "You are safer here than at the Snake's side. Please see that, Kita. Please, for Sojiro's sake and yours."
With no further words or actions Kisuke left the room.

Juushiro sighed and squeezed Ichigo's shoulder before he could say anything. He smiled at the kid. "I will stay here so Kita is not alone with him. Please tell Kisuke that and stay around in case we need you." Ichigo looked like he would protest but looked over at Kita again and then left the room as asked. That dealt with, Juushiro approached Kita and Gin.
He set a hand on Kita's. "Will you go talk to Kisuke, Kita? He needs to hear from you." As Gin's arm tightened around her, he turned to the fox. "I will start healing you, and you can keep me a captive until she returns. Will that suffice?" |

Gin chuckled. "I suppose so. I am sure there's plenty I can learn from you in the meantime." He removed his arm from around Kita and pushed her forward. "Go talk to the heart-broken shopkeeper, dearie~ But don't be gone too long. You wouldn't want this man spilling all his secrets." He slumped down on his futon with a grunt of pain.

Kita sighed with a nod as she watched Gin lay down on his futon. Juushiro kneeling beside him. She did not know what to say to Gin, she was afraid for the first time in her life with him. What happened to him to push him to go back to the darkness?
"I guess I was wrong. I just was not strong enough to save him, Juushiro." She bowed slightly to the white haired captain. "I am sorry, and thank you for tending to him while I go talk to Kisuke." She stood and looked at Gin.
"I will be back soon to take up where Captain Ukitake finishes. Please be nice to the Captain." She told Gin.Gin lifted his hand and waved her out of the room dismissively. "Run along Pet, but do return quickly." His eyes narrowed slightly looking toward Juushiro. "I would hate to have to kill your friends because they tried to keep you from me."
Kita sighed lowering her head, "Yes, Master." She turned and walked out of the room leaving Juushiro and her Master alone.

"Bonds: From Friendship to Hatred": (continued) Suddenly a blast of searing white kido ripped into Sousuke's arm. "Soren Soukatsui!" In a burst of shunpo, Juushiro burst through the door to Gin's room and tore Kita from Sousuke's grip. "Leave this place, Sousuke," he said, voice flat. He kept his arm on Kita and his eyes on his enemy, standing in the doorway. His green eyes were narrowed and hard.
Inwardly, he hoped Gin stayed under the kido spell he'd slipped into his healing. He didn't need to deal with an enraged fox too.

"Getsuga Tenshou!" Ichigo screamed as Juushiro erected a barrier to protect Kita and himself. He glared at the man who had caused so much heartache. "You're not taking anyone with you, bastard!" He growled as Aizen's own barrier faded and pointed his larger blade at him. "That won't always work."
He didn't turn as Vacanze struggled on the floor. "Stay still, V-man. We've got this." |

Kisuke and Tessai entered the shop in a flash with Aizen's reiatsu appearing. Seeing Vacanze on the floor Kisuke motioned for Tessai to tend to him. Moving closer Vacanze motioned with his head down the hall. Kisuke looked seeing Aizen and Kita entering Gin's room.
He shook his head adjusting his hat. "This is not going to be good."
He drew Benihime and started down the hall stepping in behind Aizen.
"Why the hell are you here?"

Aizen chuckled softly as he looked at the bunch around him. "I am here for three things. To kill two and retrieve one. If I have to come back for the one--So be it."
Quickly his sword was drawn again as he pointed it at Gin as he rested on his futon in a deep sleep. "Why would you care if I killed the Snake or not. One less problem for you all to deal with and Kita would be free of him."
He looked to Juushiro then glanced over his shoulder at Kisuke and Ichigo. "Let me kill the Snake and do us all a good deed."
