"I don't know!" Vale stepped away from Urahara and his drawn blade. "I left because I don't belong here. And, Kita didn't need my shitty mood ruining this affair! I have nothing to do with this! Honest!" Vale looked to Yumiko with worried eyes. "I have nothing to do with this."
Teruo reappeared. This time, standing between Urahara and Tervaden. He titled his head, grabbing Tervaden by the neck. "Soul Reaper?" He sniffed the air, taking in Tervaden's scent. "Human?" Teruo's eyes grew wide as he lifted Tervaden from the ground. "My Master," Teruo laughed running his free hand through his hair. "Is human? How ridiculous! To think I would let some insignificant beast rule over me. I will not give you the luxury of living and suffering through my dealings. You, my dear Shadow, will die. Here and now."
Vale struggled against Sada, as the hollow made his threats. "Fuck you!" Sada laughed and threw Vale. He went through a wall and landed in the street. Struggling to breathe, his body broken, Vale called out to Alister. "Alister! Alister, please! My...power..."
"Why? They don't need your power."
"I need it!"
"They are not you. That was your price, Tervaden. Your powers would return when they needed you."
Teruo looked down, appearing at Tervaden's side. "Dear Master, do die already." Teruo forced his hand through Tervaden's chest, tearing through his body, leaving a gaping wound in his side. "Embrace the agony, Master." Teruo's eye's grew wide at the stinging sensation at his cheek. He turned to see Ichimaru with Shinsou drawn.
Vale lay in the streets of Karakura, dying. Hoping that someone would kill his requested creation. He opened his mouth to call for Yumiko, but only blood fell from his mouth. He closed his eyes, as the light began to fade around him.

Isshin and a few of the others rushed past Kita following the hollow and Vale out to the street. Kita turned back to Vacanze and Orihime placing her hand Orihime's shoulder. "You got this right?"
Orihime nodded as Vacanze reached up and grabbed Kita's arms as she went to stand. This breaking the healing barrier around him.
"Vacanze you have to lay still." Orihime rested her hand to the center of his chest pushing him gently back down.
"Kita don't do this." Vacanze begged her.
Kita looked to Vacanze and smiled as she shook her head. "Someone has to stop him and I am afraid that someone is going to have to be me." She took Vacanze's hand from her arm and rested it to his chest. "Now lay there and let Hime give you back your arm."
Kita stood and walked out to where the hollow and Vale were in the street. Everyone was screaming at her to stop but she did not listen as she slowly stepped up to the hollow and Vale. She looked down at Vale as she spoke to the hollow.
"Who are you? Where did you come from and why are you here now since Aizen is dead?"

Teruo tilted his head with a wide grin. "I am Sada Teruo, aging Vessel." he bowed mockingly, licking his lips. "I was born of hell and fire. I can smell the goddess in you." Licking Tervaden's blood from his hand, he looked down at the fading man. "Go quickly, Vessel. Or, your lack of care will have contributed to his death." Teruo turned to face the mass of Soul Reapers behind him. "As for Aizen, are we sure that he is dead?" His grin grew wider still, as he licked more blood from his hand.

Kisuke watched as Kita keeled beside Vale and started healing his wounds, his looked then drifted to the hollow with his announcement of Aizen still being alive. "Are you. Sure you of this fact?" Kisuke asked turning the question back to the intruder. He adjusted his hat and looked at Sada through silted eyes. When he did not answer Kisuke repeated himself.
"I asked you a question, Creation. How do you know if this man still lives or not?"

"Ah. So, you've learned something from your trip to Las Noches." Teruo brought his hand to his cheek, the wound from Shinsou already healed. "Blood in the sands, hm?" Having licked his hand free of Tervaden's blood, Teruo bowed again. "I'm afraid, I must leave you tender Soul Reapers for reaping another day." He whistled for Naraku, Koga's netted form transforming into a black liquid that quickly found its way to Teruo. Looking back to Urahara. "Why do you ask me such foolish things? Ask him yourself." Teruo tapped Naraku to the ground, causing it to scream. Only for its screams to fade as Teruo disappeared.

While Kisuke and Sada conversed Kita quickly healed Vale closing the gaping wound across his chest to his left side. She shook her head as Vale looked up at her through hooded eyes. They begged her to save him as she keeled over his listless body. As she held the man on the ground before her she listened to Kisuke and the hollows conversation. When Sada made comment to asking Aizen himself she looked quickly his way. Only to watch his form disappear before her eyes.
Ask him yourself?
Kita shook her head her eyes closing as her mind raced in thought. Suddenly her body jolted, her eyes quickly opening as the form of Yumiko now keeled on the other side of Vale. Yumiko's hand was resting on Kita's shoulder.
"Are you alright?" Yumiko asked her.
"Kita," another voice called to her as she looked across the way seeing Hisagi and Izuru walking toward her.
Hisagi squatted down behind her, both his hands on her shoulders as Yumiko's hand slid from her shoulder to Vale's healing body. She watched as Yumiko smiled warmly and lovingly down at him. Kita then looked to Hisagi behind her then up at Izuru as he stood next to her.
"I am alright. Really, I am. Sada did not touch me, only mocked me with his bow."
"You should have removed the Bastard's head while you had the chance." Hisagi told her.
"I would have," Izuru chimed in.
Kita smiled at them with a soft giggle. "I don't play ball like that, you guys. You know that. I may train with the Eleventh Division, but I don't have their lust for blood and fighting like they do."
Izuru chuckled softly, letting his hand rest to the top of her head as he leaned down and kissed the top of it. "I have to say that is a good thing, but sometimes you have to kill to protect."
Kita shook her head. "Maybe. But I just don't think I could kill." She looked back to Vale with a sad look in her eyes. "No matter what the person has done."

When Orihime finished healing him and he finally had his arm back, Vacanze thanked her, patting her on the shoulder. She smiled giving him a nod as she herself stood from the floor with his help. He surveyed the mess. The Kurosaki house was a disaster. However, it had seen better than Kisuke's shop ever had in the past. Luckily it was still standing. Though there was blood pooled on the floor, food scattered everywhere, tables and chairs overturned. Even the cake was ruined. He sighed and turned to walk out to the front of the house, working his stiff arm and shoulder.
Outside were the other Soul Reapers and Vale. He knelt down next to Kita and pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry it turned out like this."

Kita looked to Vacanze resting her head to his chest as she still healed the wounded Vale. She relaxed slightly in his arms as she sighed softly. "Vacanze?" She looked up at him. "Did you hear what Sada said about Aizen?" Vacanze nodded with her question.
"Do you believe Aizen is still alive?" She asked him.

Before Vacanze could answer Kita, Kisuke walked out to the street with Isshin as they carried a stretcher between them. Isshin helped Yumiko to her feet as the boys stepped back letting them have room to do what they needed to do. Kita was the only one that stayed close to Vale's side and she continued to heal him. They laid the stretcher on the ground next to Vale and gently picked him up laying him to it.
Vale groaned in agony as Yumiko winced, her eyes going closed as Vacanze walked up to her. He wrapped his arms around her giving her a hug, trying to comfort her the best he could as Yumiko hugged him in return.
"He will be alright. Kita will take good care of him." Vacanze told her.
Yumiko nodded, pulling from the hug as they lifted Vale from the ground on the stretcher. She quickly went back to Vale's side, taking his hand in hers as she walked beside him as they carried him inside the house placing him to the center of the floor. Both Kita and Yumiko kneeled beside Vale once more.
Kisuke then turned and started pacing the floor. Hisagi, Izuru and Vacanze took a seat in various spots around the living room as Gin and Rangiku sat to the couch. Gin's head was lowered, his elbows propped to his knees, his head in his hands as he leaned forward. Rangiku sat at his side as she rubbed his back for moral support.
"What the hell are we missing?" Kisuke asked the question, going out to no one in particular. "What the hell have I missed? Could Aizen truly be alive?" He looked up, his eyes landing on Isshin. "Is it possible that he is walking among us and we are none the wiser? And if he is--" Kisuke's hat came from his head quickly, his eyes holding the rage of a man that had been defeated one too many times.
"Who the fuck is he disguised as?!" His question more of a growl then speech. He quickly looked to Gin as he still sat leaning forward his head still in his hands. "Did Aizen have a way to resurrect himself if he were to ever be killed?"

Isshin shook his head. "Would that be something Sousuke would even share with Ichimaru with his betrayal?"
Kisuke turned quickly looking at Isshin. "I am hoping he has had this for some time. He would have to share the secret with someone to help save his life. Who else but his most trusted man would he share it with?"
All eyes moved to Vale as he lay unconscious to the stretcher on the floor. "Well he ain't talking." Isshin said scratching his head.

Growling like a wounded beast, Gin pushed Rangiku to the side and sprang to his feet. His eyes were narrowed in intense rage. “Let’s talk about anything after we move to another location. Luck’s the only reason the children aren’t hurt or worse.” He clenched his hands, trying to ignore the fact that his head was swimming and he could be making Kita’s anxiety worse. His son had been in danger, and he was too weak to help him. It wouldn't happen again.
“If Aizen IS alive, I will search him out. He can’t hide from me, and this time,” he paused, “I will tear his head from his body, not his heart.”

"Sit down, Ichimaru." Isshin told him rising to his feet from the arm of a chair he was sit on, next to one of his daughters. "We all suffered here. Not just you. Juushiro made sure the children were cared for and safe from the danger. We need to keep level heads here." He looked to Kisuke next.
"That includes you as well."
Kisuke looked to Isshin as he replaced his hat on his head. His head then turned and looked to Gin again taking a deep breath. "Think, Ichimaru. Was there ever anything that might have lead you to believe Aizen might have a way to save his ass if something ever happened to his life force?"
Isshin and half the room looked Gin's way as well, waiting to hear what he might have to say.

Gin glared at the shopkeeper and doctor then sat down when Kita looked over at him. Reminding him of their promise. Don’t give up. He closed his eyes and sat down again next to his childhood friend. Returning his gaze to Kita, he sighed and looked back down at his knees.
Thinking backwards.
Back to the first war…. the time in Las Noches… the laid-back, self-assured attitude of the king as he whispered to the Hougyoku and breathed life into his dangerous army, the amusement in his eyes at Kurosaki’s invasion, and the gleam of victory before his betrayal ….
No, he needed to go further back.
Aizen believed he had won when he had ascended to Las Noches. Nothing was stronger than him there and he was far beyond the fools of soul society.
No, any paranoia would have been…. before.
Gin flinched as he slew fifth seat of the fifth division and then came face to face with Aizen. The sinuous trap he’d laid for the man. To catch his interest. How Aizen plotted to destroy the man who seemed to see through his act but not the act of the new third seat......
“Do we use our creations to destroy him? and his fellows?”
Aizen chuckled. “Perhaps,” he replied, turning the pages in the old book he had ‘borrowed’ from the archives. Another such book 'never' recorded. His master closed it and set it down on their desk. “You know, Ichimaru, it’s amazing the power of the forbidden Kido. I wonder if people locked them away just so I could find them.”
Gin snickered. “Surely not. You haven’t been planning your move nearly that long.”
Aizen smirked in response. “It’s too bad that you don’t have quite the same aptitude for Kido as you do with swordplay.”
Not phased, Gin grinned. “I think I more than make up for it in other needed services,” he retorted. But his blood froze all the same as Aizen handed him a slip of paper. Another name to dispose. And Gin knew the person. “Rather young to die, don’t you think?”
Aizen’s smile remained. “You know many people pass on from ambition. It’s just so easy to trip.” He started to walk past his subordinate but paused just after. “I want him dead in the library.”
Gin’s expression didn’t change as he burned the missive. “Isn’t that too obvious?”
“Only if you’re implicated.” Aizen closed his volume and returned it to the wall of knowledge around them. “One day, it won’t matter. Even if I were to fall, I will rise again.”
Gin looked up. “I know nothing definite, but he did seem to have a fallback. In an area I could not best him in.”

Vale sprang up the stretcher, wild eyed and arm flailing. "Kisuke!" He brought his hand to his side as he fell to his knees. Yumiko grabbed a hold of him, supporting him as he tried to stand. Urahara and Isshin made their way over to him. "Kisuke...Koga...I feel him!" Vale yelled out between his shallow breaths. "I have...To make sure...Yumiko!" He doubled over in pain, falling to his knees again. "Please!...Please...Make sure...She's ok. And...The Kids..."
"Yumiko is safe, Vale." answered Urahara, placing a gentle hand to Vale's side. "The children are safe, as well." With the aid of Isshin, Vale was placed back on the stretcher. "Vale," began Urahara, looking down at the fading man. "Has Aizen returned?"
Vale shook his head weakly. "It...don't...remember."
"You have your memories, Vale. So speak! Has Aizen returned?"
Vale began to lose consciousness again. But, was able to mutter an answer before fading.
Seishou Hasen.

The god smirked, appearing before the group of Soul Reapers. "Seishou Hasen. Such a foolish attempt that was." The god hovered over Tervaden's side, a hint of pity on his face. "You will never know peace, will you, Tervaden?" he whispered.
"An attempt?" questioned Urahara. "What do you mean?"
"It is not hard to understand, Kisuke Urahara. An attempt was made to spare the life of Sousuke Aizen. It failed. Now, you all wander about trying to find the walking dead. I assure you, he is dead."
"And, if we choose not to believe this?"
"Then, you distrust the word of a god." answered the god. He placed a hand to Tervaden's shoulder. "And, you all become avengers, running blindly down fury's road. But, that is not my problem. This is." The god cast his eyes to Tervaden, who groaned at his touch. "Healed by the goddess and her vessel, what you can see. But, this man is no longer a Soul Reaper. He is human. Let's not forget, Teruo's nails leave a nasty sting."
Urahara brought his hand to his chest and looked to the god, eyes narrowed. "As you said, the goddess and her vessel healed him."
"And, yet...He is still dying. His heart and mind riddled with Teruo's poison." The god looked to Ryouma, a smile growing on his face. "Say your goodbyes, while you can." The god began to fade from the room, before Urahara called out to him.
"Why were we attacked by Koga and Teruo?"
The god faded from view, but his final answer echoed on the air. "Boredom, I suppose."
