Tsukiro nodded, closing his eyes and sighing. "And that's why I can't stay. Because I don't have it anymore. And if I keep up what I've been doing, I'll never have it again. That's why I have to leave now before I mess everything up even more than it has been by Aizen. That way I can fix myself so I can come back when you need me the most and really, truly be there for you."
He stood up and grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. He sat back down and wrote an address on it. He folded it up and placed it in her hand, curling her hand around it. "If you ever need me--WHEN you need me--have one of the Soul Reapers go here and talk to the person I listed for the address. He will know where I am. He can find me better than anyone." He placed his hands on either side of her face and leaned in. He kissed her on the lips gently. When he pulled back he lingered.
"I thought that I could make you fall in love with me again. But the truth is that I'm not the same person I was when you met me. And even if I was and you did fall in love again, it would do more harm than good. Sumi would only erase your memories again. And if she didn't, then Aizen would have leverage over you again. So I'm just going to have to suck it up and let Gin do whatever he does best, because honestly he's doing way better than I am." He pulled back and winked at her. "Just don't tell him that."
He stood up and pulled her up with him. "Don't show that piece of paper to anyone until you absolutely need to. When you do, the best people to show it to would be either Kisuke or Yoruichi. They know who he is." |

Kita nodded and kissed him again. "Take care of yourself and come back the Tsukiro I fell in love with." She put the piece of paper in her pocket and looked at him again.
"I will be alright. I have Sumi again. I can feel her returning to me. Between her and Mast-- Gin." She smiled softly at him. "I will be safe. I promise I will come back to you the girl that remembers and loves you just as much as you love me."

Tsukiro felt his heart swell and the worry leave his nerves. He sighed in relief and pulled her into a tight hug, but not before kissing her one last time, this time a little harder. He placed his forehead on hers and held her tightly.
"I love you. And remember. Whenever you need me--whenever the time is right--just have Kisuke or Yoruichi go to this place and ask for me. Alright?" She nodded with a smile and he released her. He brushed her cheek and patted her head. "Why don't you go to Gin's room and wait for him. I have some things to take care of. Or would you rather stay here until he comes for you? Your choice." |

Kita smiled and sat back to the bed. "I will stay and talk to you. I am sure he is still talking to Kisuke and I don't want to sit in there being bored. At least I can talk to you if I stick around. Maybe even help if you need it."
She tilted her head and giggled. "He knows where I am if he needs me. He has fetched me enough from Vacanze's room. Getting to your room is a lot shorter walk."

Tsukiro chuckled and nodded. "Alright," he said as he went to the closet and pulled out several pieces of cloth and wrappings. He set them on the futon and knelt next to them. Then he went to his dresser and started pulling out clothes. "What do you want to talk about?"

Kita shrugged. "I don't know. I know you don't want to hear anything about my life. It's all about Las Noches and..." She paused. "Gin." She started to giggled. "Though, I did have a very good friend there believe it or not. Vacanze. He is the Seventh Espada. He is the one that made that pendent for me I had on yesterday. He is a little rough around the edges, but he means well."
She tilted her head. "Though, he is the reason Master Gin beat me so badly. I got into a fight with Azayaka over him." Kita drew her hand to her mouth quickly. "I am sorry!"

He had no idea where it came from, but Tsukiro started laughing. Not just "hee hee" laughing--full on, rolling on the floor laughing. He wiped the tears from his eyes. "You got into a fight with Aizen's daughter over a GUY?!" He started laughing again. "That is so not like you." He took a deep breath and shook his head. "Or maybe I just never got the opportunity to see you fight with another girl over me. But wow. Both of you must really care about him then." He tilted his head, frowning. "Wait a minute. You befriended an Espada?"

Kita blinked a few times and looked at Tsukiro wondering what was so funny. Then became upset that he would question such a thing. "He is no different than you! He feels, laughs, hurts and I am sure if shown how to, they can love. Just like you do. Just because he is an Espada does not mean he is different. The soul reapers just labeled them bad because they are Espada and work for Aizen. Its not true and Vacanze has learned that not all soul reapers are assholes since he has met Izuru. You can't just throw people or anything into a category just because it is convenient for you. You pass up a lot of great things in life when you do that."
She crossed her arms and looked on at Tsukiro. "If you treat someone badly and give them attitude you can expect to have the same type of treatment. Make them an enemy before you know them and you will have an enemy."

Tsukiro blinked then frowned and looked away, feeling a bit ashamed. "You're right. They didn't ask to be turned into hollows when they died. It's not their fault that Aizen bribed them into working for him. He's got a slick tongue." He turned back to her. "So why do you like him? If he's not like most hollows and arrancars, what is he like?"

Kita smiled warmly thinking of Vacanze. "He is warm. Caring, in his own rough way." She giggled. "He is always looking out for me and not just because he was ordered to either. I love sitting and talking to him. We learn so much from one another and about one another." She sighed as she thought about him. "He gave me a nickname. He calls me his Firestone, Gem or his Jewel."
Kita shook her head and blushed. "Please don't ask why."

Tsukiro couldn't stop the burn of jealousy in his stomach, but it took a back seat to the warm, happy feeling he felt seeing her smile so brightly. If the mere thought of him could make her smile like that, then Vacanze, Espada or not, had his respect. Instead of letting the thought of him caring for her eat away at him, he let the thought of it strike determination in him to come back and be able to make her smile that brightly.
He smiled at her. "Do you have feelings for him? Does he for you?" |

Kita looked at him confused wondering why he would want to know something that could hurt him. She smiled and nodded softening the blow some. "We do care about one another. He stated when he came here the first day, that if I was taken back to Las Noches. He would make sure he got me out of there. Because I did not deserve to be in that hell nor did humans belong there."
She tilted her head and looked at Tsukiro. "I don't know understand why you want to know this?"

He shrugged. "I would get over it anyway. I have to, otherwise I'd have left for nothing. That and even though it will hurt, it will also be comforting to know that there is someone out there who loves you and cares about you like I do, but who can also protect you way better than what I can. Sure, it will hurt a lot at first, but once I get past the pain, what else is left to suffer for? Not much. Once the pain is gone I can be happy for you and worry less about you."

Kita shook her head. "You should strive to be better for yourself first before you strive for that for me. You have to be happy here." Kita put her hand to her chest over her heart. "Before you can truly make some else happy."
She looked at him tilting her head again If you can't even make yourself happy--How can you make someone else happy?"

He smiled. "Because the truth is that I will never be truly happy unless I'm with you. You're all I have left to live for. My mother and brother are gone. My father is worse off mentally than even I am. I've grown distant from Yoruichi and Kisuke after all these decades of separation. You're all I have. You're the only thing that can make me happy. If I can come back and be the man you fell in love with and know that my feelings are returned once more, that's all the happiness I'll ever need. This isn't so much about going off to find happiness. It's for me to find peace with the things that have happened recently and in my past. Once I can get over those things and find peace of mind there will be nothing standing in they way of either of our happiness."
After thinking a bit, he frowned again. "I'm sorry. That sounds like a lot of pressure on you. I apologize if you feel that way." |
