Gin smirked, the light of mischief clear in his cerulean eyes. “I wonder how long that will last. I mean I’m a reformed man here, but if they let you in, someone is going to start screaming at the sky about someone stealing his thunder as soon as he hears. I’m not sure they have the patience for all that.”
Kita swatted at his head. “Don’t go making trouble! And what part of you is reformed? Because I don’t see anything different.”
Gin grabbed her hand and kissed it. “Well if you don’t believe me, I can always teach Sojiro new tricks when you’re in therapy, love~ He's had too many bad influences in these past years. So it'll be good for him. Kenji, too. I think I know at least a few good lessons for both of them, now that I think about it~"

Kita giggled, "Good lessons, huh?" She looked at their son. "He has school he will be attending."
Sojiro looked up from the waffles that Tessai set in front of him. "Do they have schools there like they have here?" he looked at the few in the room that would know the answer.
Kisuke nodded, "They have what is called public education, not just the academy, though the further from the Seireitei, education starts to become nonexistent, education then comes from the parents or guardians." His head shook, "Tutors are for the nobles and families that are better off. The public school is for the lower and middle class."
"Don't sound any different than here," Kita commented and looked from Kisuke to Sojiro. "Well, it's not like I have not been teaching you since day one. I can just continue your education at home if need be."
Kisuke lifted his teacup and mumbled behind the tipped cup. "He's old enough for the Academy."
Kita narrowed her eyes at him, a quick look at Gin when he snickered. "Not in my book." She looked back to Kisuke, "He is 15, far too young for the military."

Gin chuckled again when Kita shot that dangerous look to the shopkeeper. This wasn’t the first time this discussion had come up, although usually Sojiro wasn’t in the same room. He shrugged as he stole a piece of bacon from her plate. “Maybe you and I aren’t the best ones to talk to about this, Hat and Clogs, you know with us both being geniuses and such. Kenji’s got his zanpakuto but Soji doesn’t.”
Sojiro listened to the conversation closely and found his curiosity piqued by the his father's approach. "When did you go?" he asked.
Gin grinned as he looked at his son. "I'm not sure to be honest. Age is different there than here, and I never really cared about it. I was younger than most of my peers though." He tilted his head. "But I wasn't the first to go that young. I beat the record of his graduation but we were probably about the same age."
Sojiro frowned, not sure he could picture his honorary grandpa that short or young. "Who? Kisuke?"
Gin waved a hand. "Nope, Grandpa is older than me. I don't know his records. The record I beat was Hitsugaya's. That does make me wonder though. Did you even go through the academy, old schemer? When you were being trained by your wifey and all that."

Kisuke huffed lifting his chopsticks with a bite of waffle on them. "Of course I did, but I was in no rush to graduate from the Academy."
He took the bite of waffle off his chopsticks as he looked at Yoruichi sitting across the table from him. Chewing then swallowing he grinned wide. "Military training was not the only thing keeping me there."
"Aww," Kita responded as she looked between the two, Kisuke and Yoruichi. "So you two have had something between you for centuries, huh?"
"Give or take," Yoruichi commented with a grin as she set her chopsticks on the table.
"Now that's true love," Kita stated.
Kisuke's head shook, "No, that's called patience," he chuckled lightly when he saw Yoruichi nodding her head. "True love is strength, endurance, and trust." He looked at his adopted daughter and then glanced at Gin. "Something I have only seen once in my life, and I have witnessed it over the last 15 years."

Gin shook his head at the shopkeeper’s serious compliment and stole another piece of bacon from his lover’s plate in lieu of another retort. He wasn’t ready for this kind of talk, not when Kita was still blaming herself for the disaster while they lived in Las Noches or when he didn’t know what she would need to find her peace. If he was inferring to marking their bond with something more permanent, he wouldn’t do it. Not now.
And what right did the old man have to hint at that when he hadn’t done anything of the sort with his woman?!

Sojiro looked between the adults at the table and then to his waffles. He took another bite and then looked over to his mother. “Whether or not I am going there, can I take a look or visit a couple classes? I keep hearing about them, and if we’re already going to be in the area, it seems like a logical thing to do. I can prepare for them too.”
Kisuke chuckled and lowered his hat again, muttering something that sounded like ‘wouldn’t be a problem’.
His father was more direct. “Unnecessary. You’re ready for what really counts there. Sure there are some points you don't know about, but when you go, I doubt you or Kenji would need much time to graduate.”
"Really? But my zanpakuto isn't even awake yet."
"There's probably a reason for that..." Gin murmured before waving the mood away. "It's like that with most of the students there. The Tiger and the ice captain are exceptions. Most take more time to get it."
"But it doesn't matter. Because he's not going yet. Right?" Kita butted in, eyes narrowing.
Sojiro wasn't phased. "What about visiting, Mom? Is that okay?"

Kita sighed with her son's question, she was about to reply to said question when a familiar voice rang out.
"You're not in Las Noches anymore. Stop coddling the boy and let him grow up."
Kita went silent, an odd look drawing across her face, she rubbed her temple as she looked down at the table. It has to be the stress. Her head lifted slowly as she nonchalantly looked at the others at the table. It seemed no one else heard her. She shook her head slightly and looked on at Sojiro. Sure they were not in Las Noches any longer, and Vale is in Hell...
"Was in Hell."
Kita got an annoyed look on her face, "what do you mean was?!" She demanded to know, her voice booming off the walls of the kitchen.

“Mom?” Soji questioned.
Gin’s eyes narrowed at Kita’s tone and grabbed her wrist on instinct, his mood souring even more with the contact. She was rigid to the touch, and he knew better than to ignore that. He stood up. “What’s wrong?” he demanded.
Kita's gaze turned to Gin, but before she could answer him, another did.
"There is nothing wrong. Just the return of an old friend." Sumi appeared in the kitchen.
Gin chuckled. "Welcome back, but that doesn't explain her outburs-" His cerulean eyes narrowed again. "You mean that Vale is out of Hell, don't you?"

Sumi giggled, covering her mouth. "Odd how your thoughts go directly to Vale. Maybe." Sumi shrugged. "Maybe, I was telling her something about Aizen." She smiled at the fox, "But yes, Vale has been freed from Hell."
"How, and why are you back?" Kisuke inquired, adjusting his hat.
Sumi looked in the shopkeeper's direction. "How have I returned, or how did Vale become free?"
"Both," Kita butted in still a bit taken back that Sumi was standing before them, especially after what happened with the Soul King.
"I will answer the easiest question first. Alister." She looked to Kisuke. "He also retrieved Vale's zanpakuto from your lab."
Everyone watched as Kisuke stood, left the table, and headed to his lab. "So why, or better yet. How, have you returned? As I recall the Soul King stripped you of me for your interference."
Sumi nodded slowly, "Correct. He felt as if he made a hasty decision, so he amended his decision and allowed me to return."
"So Mom is your vessel again?" Sojiro questioned.
"Yes," Sumi nodded slowly, "she is once more my vessel."

“Hasty decision my ass..” said Vale as he appeared in the room. “You were given this reason while I was given another. But, that’s not important.” Vale watched as everyone in the room moved…Everyone except Kita. He raised a hand.
“I am not here for any of you,” he looked at Kita. “I am not here for my son. That’s something for a different day.” Vale took a deep breathe. “I don’t know what is going on. Or, why I’ve seen three different gods in less than an hour. But, what I do know,” Alister appeared in front of Vale as Urahra returned to the room. “Something really fucking fucked up is going on. But, again…I’m not here for that.”
”What are you here for?”
Vale was silent for a moment. “Urahara…Do you remember Isao Zayasu? Coda’s husband…” He watched a Urahara nodded. “Could you tell him that Coda needs him? She and Imai were fighting some kid…Kinzo…Anyway, the kid killed her friend.”
”Honzo.”
”Yeah…Honzo.” Vale sighed. “Uh…I should get back to her…Imai…” Vale shook his head. “Deliver that message for me. Or, you’re shit…” Without another word Vale disappeared, leaving Alister behind.

Sojiro blinked in the silence that followed Vale’s appearance and disappearance. “Am I the only one confused by everything? Who’s Imai and why was Vale over there instead of coming here?” His father raised a hand, probably to try to calm him down, but Sojiro’s eyes widened. “Wait!” He stood up, his eyes narrowed at the fire god. “If you revoked his punishment, what about Aizen’s? Is that what’s going on? Was this all-”
Daichi appeared and leapt onto his shoulder just at the same time as Gin palmed his head and pushed him back down into his chair.
“Stop a moment and take breath,” his father growled. “You’re leaping.”
Soji nodded and picked up his utensils again, cutting his waffle, but his appetite wasn’t in it. He set them down again, taking a drink of orange juice instead and petting Daichi.

Gin watched his son for a moment longer before turning back to both of the gods in the room. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Anyone else want the gods to sleep for an eon?” he muttered, shaking his head and returning to his seat. He looked to Sumi. “No offense to you, but I’m tired of your kind making matters more complicated.” His eyes narrowed at Alister. “You especially. Will either of you enlighten us as to what actually happened?”
“Wait!” Sojiro interrupted, “does Yumiko know Vale’s back?”
“Sojiro Miyamoto Ichimaru, calm down and eat your food,” Kita ordered.
Gin patted at his son’s head with one hand while patting Kita’s hand with his other, waiting for a reply from either of the gods among them.

Alister chuckled. “You’re as broken as both of your parent's boy.” He wore a smirk as he folded his arms across his chest. “But, if I can bring you a small amount of peace…Sousuke Aizen’s last encounter with a god was the same one he had with his brother. And, there are no intentions to change that.”
Looking at Sumi, Alister nodded with a smile. “I will keep my end of the bargain and keep Tervaden at a distance the best I can. But,” Alister looked to the human woman. “He will want to see his son. Give him time to settle. The last twenty minutes of his life have been a whirlwind. And, will further add to the state of confusion he’ll face.”

Kita looked at Gin knowing that what she was about to say might set him off some, but it was something she promised Vale. Her attention returned to Alister. "As long as Vale is civil--not to just me, but everyone that might be around," her eyes wandered to Sumi then back to Alister.
"Tell Vale he is welcome to see his son whenever he wishes," she lifted a finger in gesture as saying, 'But wait'. "As long as it is at a decent time of day--so late nights and wee hours of the morning are not acceptable, and if he does get out of hand with my family and or friends. He might find that visiting his son could be lessened."
"And I am sure you already know, and will inform Vale. We are moving to the Soul Society, so there is where he will have to come to see Kadaj."

Alister smiled. “If you wish for Tervaden to know that he may only visit his son in a place where he is not permitted to go, you deliver the news.”
"I am sure we can work that out. After all, he has you and I have Sumi." A cocky grin spread across her lips. "It's not like one of you cannot hide him in plain sight."
“This would be fine time to practice nuetrality, Miyamoto.” Alister raised a brow. “You know the man well enough to know how he would react to such a thing. You also know that he cares for you as deeply as he cares for Ryouma.” Alister smiled and began to fade from the room. He looked to Urahara. “Your father has his eyes on him…” With that, Alister disappeared.
