Vale blinked and rubbed his eyes. He rose slowly from his chair and looked around the room. Without warning, he grabbed Kita and hugged her. He held tightly to her. "Thank you, Ms. Kita..." Releasing Kita from his embrace, Vale stepped away and walked toward the door. "I do believe I owe you now..."

Kita blinked a few times then giggled softly. "You're welcome. Take care of it now; and by the way." Vale turned and looked at her still smiling. "You have beautiful eyes." Kita went to adjust herself back in the bed when Sojiro cried out causing her to get up from the bed.
"Looks like it is dinner time." She said walking slowly to the crib. Stopping she looked to Vale once more before he left the room. "And thank you for the tea, Vale." she reached down lifting Sojiro from the crib cradling him in her arms as she turned back to Vale still standing there watching them.

Vale let out a grateful sigh and gave a slight bow. "Good night, Miss Kita. And, thank you." He left the room sliding the door shut behind him. With his heart and mind finally at ease, Vale entered his room and fell into bed. He reached up and placed a hand to his newly restored eye. "New day, Vale...New day..." |

“Mending a Tie”: (continued)Stepping up to her door he slid it slowly so not to make too much noise. He did not want to wake Sojiro if he was sleeping. He was surprised when he looked in and saw Kita breast feeding. Kita quickly reaching beside her, grabbing a receiving blanket she draped it over Sojiro and herself. He blushed looking away as he turned to step back out of the room. “Sorry. I was not aware you were breast feeding.” Tsukiro explained.

Kita smiled looking at Tsukiro. "It's alright Tsuki. Come on in I am covered now." She adjusted herself sitting up better as he looked back at her his smile returning.
"Are you sure?" Tsukiro asked. "I don't want to intrude."
"No you're fine." She patted the chair next to her bed. "So how have you been. It's been awhile since we have seen one another. I have heard little on the progress of everything. I seem to always be at work when Captain Ukitake stops by."

Tsukiro walked over sitting the basket on the foot of the bed and removed his coat. "It is going well. Not as fast as some would like, but we are slowly getting back on our feet and thanks to you and the Goddess the Commander is back to his old self." He folded his coat and and set it next to the basket then took a set in the chair Kita offered moments ago.
"How are you and that little one doing?"

Kita giggled softly. "I am sure his lieutenant is thrilled about that." She watched as he set his jacket down then took a seat next to the bed. Her smiled growing wider. "We are doing wonderful. He is so alert and curious..." She paused lifting the blanket peeking under it at Sojiro. "And he is beautiful."
She covered him back over and looked to the basket at the foot of the bed seeing all the goodies in it for her and the Sojiro, she then looked over to Tsukiro. "Thank you for the care basket."
Tsukiro shook his head scratching the back of his head. "Oh no! Don't thank me. I am only the delivery boy. The ladies in the Shinigami’s Women’s Association did this for you and Sojiro. I would not know the first thing to get you or Sojiro." He then blushed, "though, I did give Rangiku some money to pick something up from me, its a rattle and a blanket or so that is what Rangiku told me she got. I know I did not get any change back."
Kita giggled, "sounds like Rangiku." Kita leaned forward and kissed his cheek softly. "Thank you Tsukiro. It was very sweet of you."

Tsukiro blushed again and before Kita could pull back from him he slid his hand in behind her head on her neck holding her in place. He looked into her eyes causing her to freeze. "I miss you so much Kita."
Slowly he tipped his head to one side and pressed his lips to hers. Slowly pulling back he whispered to her. "Please come back to me."

Kita pulled back from Tsukiro resting back against her pillows. She tried to act natural, but with her emotions up in the air with they way they had been she burst into tears. Slowly she shook her head drying the tears that fell to the blanket that covered over Sojiro.
"Tsuki..." she did not look his way. "I can't..."

Tsukiro quickly took her hand before she could finish. "Kita. Please listen to me. You know the hell Rangiku went through with Ichimaru. Do you really think he is going to treat you any different? As soon as he wakes he will disappear." His eyes narrowed as he looked away from her.
"But not if I get my way. I will see that man behind bars for what he has done. I will see him pay for everything."

Kita pulled her hand from Tsukiro's as she looked at him with wide eyes. Slowly he turned and looked at her she pulled her hand back from his. "You... You are going to have him locked away?"
Tsukiro grabbed her hand holding it gently. "Kita, how can you feel sorry from him after everything he did you. He beat you and raped you. Not just once but many times. How can you love or even have feelings for someone like that man?"
Kita pulled against her hand trying to get free of Tsukiro's hold. "Please let me go." He released her hand a sadness filling his eyes. "Tsukiro, please listen to me." She shook her head. "You were not there. You don't know the circumstances behind it all. Gin was protecting me. The things he did he did not want to do. He only did them to keep Aizen from hurting me or killing him."

"BULLSHIT!" Tsukiro exclaimed getting quickly to his feet. His arm swinging out in front of him. He was growing angered as he stepped away from the bed. "Damn it Kita! The man does not love you. He wouldn't know how to love if it bit him in the ass!"
He spun around and looked at Kita his anger settling as he looked into her eyes. With a heavy sigh her continued in a softer tone. "Please Kita. I love you. I will always love you. We were going to get married. Those feelings for you never died. Please. Just think about all this. I am here. Alive and--Not in a coma, and I will never run off. Ichimaru..." He paused lowering his head letting his fingers comb through his hair. "I just don't want to see you hurt anymore." He looked back to Kita. "And that is exactly what is going to happen if you stay with Ichimaru."

Kita's eyes narrowed at Tsukiro with his outburst and making Sojiro jump in her arms. She was starting to grow angered at the man in her room and the little man she was holding in her arms was feeling the frustration building in his mother. He pulled from her breast and started to fuss. Taking her attention from Tsukiro and placing it on Sojiro, pulling the blanket down from over the baby and covering herself, she then adjusted Sojiro in her arms and started pushing up from the bed.
"This conversation is over, Tsukiro. Please leave." She stood from the bed and walked toward him. "I will not stand for you bad mouthing the man I love. I will not tolerate it. You have your opinion and I will not judge you for that, but I will not allow you to push your opinions or views off on me." She stopped in front of him looking into his eyes, "please leave."
When he shook his head and tried to reach out and touch her Kita turned away from him stepping back.
"Fine... If you won't leave I will." She told him. She then stepped around him and walked toward the door sliding it open, turned and walked down to the end of the hall to Gin's room.Move

"Family Reunion":It had been four months since Sojiro was born as Kita sat in her room rocking and cuddling Sojiro against her chest after feeding him. He was sound asleep, his breathing calm and restful. His scent of baby power and lotion filling her senses, relaxing her as much as the steady rocking of the chair. She smiled sleepily at her beautiful baby boy in her arms kissing him gently on the forehead. A sad lonely tear trickled down her cheek.
“I wish your daddy could see you. He would be so proud.” She kissed his forehead again as he wiggled slightly in his blanket and settled back down still asleep. Kita smiled as she rested her head to the back of the rocking chair. Her eyes slowly going closed as she to drifted off with her son, in the land of dreams.

The bamboo forest formed around her again. The floor was covered in crimson and golden leaves and more were falling down in the light breeze. From the chill in the air, she guessed it was late afternoon, soon to be evening. Shinsou appeared in his ethereal form, wrapped around her a couple times, before alighting on her shoulder. He looked down at the young one in her arms. “He really does have Master’s keen eyes.” Sojiro opened his eyes wider and reached for the kitsune. Shinsou grinned and started waving a tail in front of his little arms. “He’s strong, too.”
He let the kid win for one moment before leaping to the ground.
“Where’s Gin?” Kita asked.
Shinsou licked a paw. “He’s coming.” The kitsune faded away just as long arms wrapped around her from behind.
