Takai rose from her seat on the floor. "My father is not himself. He has lost himself in trying to figure out how Sousuke Aizen survived his Imperial Bow.""What do you mean?" questioned Toshiro, stopping in the doorway of the shop."Sousuke Aizen's body split in half, when shot with one of my father's strongest bows. Then, his body reformed. Even he seemed surprised by it." Takai followed the Captain's path toward the exit.
"Do not take offense if my father attacks you." The Captain nodded as he led the way out of the ruined shop.Moved

“Winds of Change”: (continued) By the time they got to the Shop, Kita was carrying him once more. When they entered they were greeted by Kisuke and Yoruichi. Kadaj squirming to get out of his mother’s arms once more. When his feet hit the floor he took off toward Kisuke. Kisuke swept him up in the air tossing him upward. “There is my little man.” When Kadaj settled down in Kisuke’s arms he snatched his hat from his head and put it on. Yoruichi rubbed Kadaj’s back. “Welcome back Kadaj.” He looked to Yoruichi from under the hat with a bright smile then turned his look back to Kisuke. “I moms yittle man to.” He looked quickly at his mother. “Huh, mom?” Kita nodded slowly, “Mhmm,” looking around them she watched Tessai walk in the room.“There’s my little helper.” He rubbed the top of the hat still on his head. “You know we never finished that kite last time you were here.” Tessai looked out the nearby window then back to Kadaj. “Today would be the perfect day to fly it.”Kadaj gasp, squirming in Kisuke’s arms to get down as Kisuke started to chuckle as he put the boy to his feet. “Get. You.” Kisuke playfully told him as he patted his backside. As Kadaj darted off with Tessai, Kisuke snatched his hat back. Quickly spinning around, he ran back toward his mother and hugged her legs as she leaned over giving him a kiss and a hug in return. Kadaj was so excited about the kite he paid no mind to the missing hat from his head. He turned again as was off with Tessai to finish the kite for the trip to the park.Kita giggled softly shaking her head. “He is something else. Nothing like Sojiro when he was that age.”

“Sojiro was your first. You stuck to him like glue and if you were not teaching him,” her looked turned to Kisuke. “Someone else was.” Yoruichi reminded her.
Kita sighed, “I have done nothing different with Kadaj.”
“We know you haven’t, Sweetie.” Kisuke said adjusting his hat as he walked over giving her a hug. Breaking from the embrace he continued. “But at the time you lived here, and someone was always paying attention to Sojiro in one way or another. You’re alone now so it is just you and Kadaj. He has time to run off and play and be a normal kid when you get busy doing other things. Sojiro did not get that chance. He played, yes, but because of his surroundings he always had something more advanced to get into and learn.”
“Also this one is the son of Tervaden. Not Ichimaru. They will be two totally different kids.” Yoruichi added.

“I know they will be different. Though, Kadaj is as smart as his older brother. He is just too busy being a kid. Where Sojiro always wanted a book in his hands and his nose buried in it.” Kita stated then paused briefly with a sigh. “I just wish Vale was here to share this with us.”
Yoruichi pulled her into a tight hug. “He will be back soon. He is Vale Tervaden. If Aizen could never beat this man down Terou won’t be able to do it either.”
Kita returned her hug with a bright smile. “You’re right. I just hope its more sooner than later he returns.”
She then jumped from a poke in her ribs from the side as she turned to look at Kisuke.
“Are you forgetting about someone?”
Kita shook her head. “No, I am not. I want Gin home just as badly,” she sighed and cast her eyes down. “It’s just… it’s been three years since I last saw or was even with Gin and if you get technical about it, it has been longer if you count the time we were in Las Noches and stripped away from one another.”

Yoruichi looked to Kisuke with Kita’s hopeless tone then back to Kita as she rested her hand to her shoulder. “Kita? Have you given up on Ichimaru?” Kita did not look up at her with her question. “You have to remember Yumi--“ Kita’s head lifted quickly. “Don’t talk to me about that situation!” Kita snarled. “I know all about it and anything else I need to know! I know more than you do! So do not think you adding your two cents will help this out! Because it won't! This is mine and Vale's family. Not Gin and Yumiko's.” Kita quickly turned in silence and walked toward the door. Her tone calming some. “I have to go or I am going to be late. I will be by to get Kadaj after work.”Yoruichi looked to Kisuke with a bewildered look as Kita walked from the shop leaving them there in silence. “I think there might be a problem here and we need to deal with it with it before Ichimaru returns.” Kisuke replied. Yoruichi looked toward the door where Kita exited as she commented. “Ichimaru?” Her arms crossed over her stomach. “How about before Tervaden returns? Have you forgotten? Yumiko is in the Soul Society waiting for the same man.” Silence fell around them once more as they heard Kadaj laughing in the back with Tessai. “This is not going to be an easy task.” Yoruichi mumbled. “Matters of the heart never are.”

"Trouble at Home Front": As Yoruichi left a long list of instructions for Vacanze with her departure, Raelin grabbed a throw and tiptoed out the back. A pale yellow rose was drooping by the door. She looked around for Tessai or any of the twine he would use on it. But not seeing any, and remembering that Tessai was also in Soul Society, she instead tugged on the ribbon holding her braid together. She shifted the branch up against the pole, wrapping it twice and tying a bow. She stood back when she was finished. As the chilly breeze pulled on it, it waved with the rest, but didn't fall over. She nodded to herself and looked to the roof. Spreading her wings, she quickly alighted upon the roof and then hid her wings again in the cloak, hiding them from sight. She set her blanket down. Sitting on the roof tiles and setting her head on one raised knee, she observed two tuffs of clouds drift over the park nearby. It was peaceful. But soon, her wings would be purified again. And she would have no reason to stay. Raelin caught her pendant in hand. Still warm to the touch - as if waiting for something. Or acknowledging it. She wasn’t sure. It had never remained like this before. But then again -- she tucked it back into her blouse -- the price hadn’t locked her in this form for so long either. She laid her head on her knee again. In a couple days, it wouldn’t matter. She squeezed her legs, trying to deny the heavy weight that accompanied that thought. She had taken too long to free the soul reaper. She had no right to linger any longer than that. Perhaps… this was what came of using her power too much for her people’s enemy. For seeking peace …. when it was so far away. She closed her eyes, letting her hair flow around her. Then jolted up as she picked up on something. Hesitating for a moment, she leapt into the air.Moved

"Promises Kept": (continued) Yumiko blinked, standing at the back of Urahara’s shop. Her heart pounded, wondering if this was some kind of an illusion, but it seemed too tame for any revenge from Aizen, and the other illusions she’d come across were never this peaceful and quiet. Her eyes fell on the vegetables waving in the evening breeze. The pungent aroma of the roses behind her beckoned her to turn around. Sighing. She closed her eyes. It was cruel showing this place when she had started its destruction by her association with Vale, leaving the peace of Karakura for the shadows of Las Noches again. “Lady Ryouma?” a voice called out.
It took Yumiko a few moments to recognize that low tone and more again for her to turn around. “Tessai?” she asked. There was no purpose for him in an illusion. Pieces fell into place in her mind and she willed sudden tears away with a smile, not sure she had a right to be happy here. When she had all but abandoned them. “Are we back?”

"I believe so, Lady Ryouma, but we are not for sure yet." He reached out a hand to her. "Let me walk you to the living room. Everyone is there waiting for Urahara to show."Yumiko took his hand as he tenderly wrapped his hand around hers, leading her back to the living room where the others were waiting for their return. "We are hoping Urahara can shed some light on what happened." He told her as they walked, he looked her way with a bright smile. "Let's hope it is all good." He watched as she nodded slowly to him. They walked in silence the rest of the way. Both of them hoped for the best in the situation they were finding themselves in.Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: Deep RenewalEpisode 326 "His Sister": (continue) Walking over to a counter, Kita released Kenji's hand, turned, her back to the counter and hopped up on the counter to sit. Kenji looked at sitting there.
"If you're waiting for me to lift you up and set you on the counter like the old days, you can forget it." She patted the countertop next to her. "You're a big boy now, hop on up here." She smiled happily at him.

Kenji hopped up on the counter and sat next to his sister, his hands in his lap. There was short moment of silence between them before Kenji decided to speak. "I won't even pretend that you and I went through the same things in Las Noches. But, we were both affected by everything we went through...Does it get easier to deal with?"
"Kinda," Kita started with, "from the last time I was returned home and had to deal with the sexual abuse and the return of my memories, it was rough, but it did get better. One still haunts me." Tears formed in her eyes. "Loki," she shivered crossing her arms over her chest and rubbed her upper arms. "I don't think I will ever get over that."
Kenji wrapped an arm around his sister. "I didn't go through any of that, Nee. That's why all of this feels silly, you know. I was just...Well, I don't know what to do now. I'm twenty...And, I've got no formal education. Very little anyway. I've had very little Shinigami training. I feel behind...And, it's not my fault. And, I'm scared of trying anything, Kita. Because...What happens next? If not Aizen, then who? What hollow is going to Karakura on a rampage? How many more times are you going to be called to the Soul Society to heal someone?"
Kenji hopped down from the counter. "When does it end?

Kita placed her hand on his shoulder as he leaned against the counter next to her. "It don't. From my understanding, it's the life of a Soul Reaper. I am sure there are downtimes when they don't have assholes like Aizen dragging things into the next century."
"Yeah well.." Kenji sighed. "I know it was to protect me. But, mom and dad seriously couldn't have thought raising me in the human realm would have been best for me? Seriously...Look how far behind I am..."
Kita's hand slid from her brother's shoulder. "It's not something you cannot overcome, Kenji. What you want to learn educational wise talk to Sojiro. He was schooled in Las Noches by Yumiko and me." She got a stern look on her face. "Plus, if he or Gin like it or not. He is going to school, Public or private, either or, but he is going to school now that we are home. Sojiro needs to be around kids more. All he has ever known is adults."

Kenji sighed and stepped away from his sister. "This isn't about Soji and what school he'll go to. I need help, Kita. I need help. And, I'm tired of people bringing up you, and Gin and Soji whenever I need to just talk about...me." He hunched over in frustration and clenched his fists. "People will help you. People will go out of their way to help you! But, this isn't about you!"
Kita sighed and slid off the counter and walked over to her brother and rubbed his back. "I am sorry Kenji. I was just stating something out loud. And you're wrong about people helping you. All you have to do is reach out to us. If we don't know something is wrong we can't help." He turned and looked at her. "Whatever you need, you know I, we are here to help you. Always. Have you talked to dad and mom about training? I mean I know you have your bankai, but I am sure there is so much more entailed."
"Dad already said that he would. But, I am going to be a disappointment, Kita. I know I am." Kenji began to rub his hands together. He began breathing heavier at the thought of training with his father. "I...I thought it would help with this feeling. But, what if it doesn't? What if he....What if he thinks that I shouldn't have a zanpakuto? What if -"
"Kenji!" Kita grabbed Kenji's hands and held them. "Calm down."
Inhale...One two....Exhale... "I'm sorry, Nee-chan."

"It's fine, I know that feeling. I know that is what you're thinking, but how do you feel deep down, deep deep down in your gut...How do you feel? What do you know to be true?" She still held his hands in hers.
"Oh Kita, I don't know." Kenji shook his head. "I don't...It's hard to explain. But, I don't know."
"Well you know no one in this family is ever going to turn their back on you. We will always be there, and as far as being a failure in things." She shrugged her shoulders. "Who cares. No one is going to judge you. Everyone fails. It's part of learning. Look at all the things dad has failed at, did he ever give up? No. He didn't, and that is the same thing you will have to do. Not give up."

"But, Kita...I'm Kisuke Urahara's son. There's a different standard."
"And, just who made this standard?!"
Kenji shook his head. "I don't know...There just is one, you know." Kenji pulled his hands away from Kita and shoved them deep in his pockets. "Look I appreciate you trying to cheer me up. Maybe I need to wallow in this for a while?"

Kita stood where she was as she looked at her brother, "You're an Urahara, yes, and dad has quite the record for being intelligent, and strong. But no one is going to hold you to those standards. They know everyone learns at their own pace. I mean look at you Kenji, you got your zanpakuto at the age of five. Tessia told me, most don't get their zanpakutos until they are much older. Some not even until they are in the Academy."
She stepped up to him once more. "Just because you exceled in getting your zanpakuto early does not mean everyone believes everything else will come that quick and easy for you." She sighed again, "you know maybe you should talk to Juushiro about all of this. I am sure he has some words of wisdom he can help you with."
