“Kita,” she asked, “why can’t you use the Heavenly Gate right now? If you could, you would have used it already, especially given circumstances.”
Kita sighed. “I can’t,” she murmured, reaching for her healing powers. “Sumi left to report to the Soul King.” She chuckled shortly. “And she told me to stay out of trouble, too.”
“She shouldn’t be away long, right?”
For the first time since she’d taken Aizen’s life, a smile lit up Kita’s face. “No, she should be returning to me in a couple days. We can manage that long, at least.”
Yumiko nodded, looking out the door again. She closed her eyes at a particular acute throb of pain on her temple.
“Yumiko?” The noble looked back to her friend. “You will come back with us, right?” Kita asked. “After what Vale did….”
Yumiko turned her head away. Only glancing to the ring she still bore on her finger. She couldn’t find the answer inside herself.
If their bond had been so fragile, why did he come back with her in Soul Society? She tensed. If it was so weak, why had he halted from killing Ukitake-san? Even gone so far as to order his god to heal him.
“Heal Gin,” she responded. “And your neck. I’ll be back to help after sitting down a bit.”

Gin coughed. “Soji,” he whispered.
“Present,” Sojiro called out, walking around to his father’s opposite side. He paused, looking to his mother for permission. When she smiled, he clambered up onto the bed. “Daddy?” he asked. He halted and then took ahold of his kimono. “Are you going to be okay? Like Mom says?”
Gin chuckled, voice scratchy. “What did your mother say, Soji?”
“Mom said yes, but Kisuke- ” He sniffed. “Uncle says that she does that sometimes to protect me. I didn’t understand….” He glanced down.
Gin looked over to his lover. “Hmm… which of us…. lies more for the right purposes, dearie?”
Kita smiled softly, leaving a hand on Gin so to heal him, the other touching the back of Sojiro's head. "I do what I can. Sometimes things don't turn out the way we want them. I don't want you to have to worry. It's something you should not have to worry about at your age." She leaned toward their son, kissing his head softly. "Your father will be fine. He's a tough old fox."
Sojiro nodded, scooting closer and setting his head on his propped knee, watching his mother’s healing powers bring color back to his father’s cheeks. He missed home. He missed fighting for muffins and dropping things in the lab to get to books higher up. He missed the warm tickle of Daichi wrapping around his neck and the curl of pride at beating Kenji in a game.
“I don’t know I much like adventures now,” he murmured.
His mother giggled softly, kissing him again, "Not all adventure is like this. Remember mine and your adventures. We found Daichi. That was a good and fun time, right?"
Sojiro only frowned. "But I can't save anyone here." His blue eyes turned cloudy. "I'm too small." He wasn't only talking about his size and his age.
But he wasn't going to tell his parents that for the first time he was jealous of Kenji - that he wanted a blade of his own. For the first time, he wasn't satisfied with only books and knowledge. He wondered... if this was why Aizen always beat him. A kindling of ambition sparked in his heart.

Gin’s hand twitched. His son’s melancholy weighed on him like lead. When they escaped, would his son still be the high-spirited, inquisitive child he’d grown into? Or would he lose him to…? Kita squeezed his hand. And Gin sighed.
“Sojiro,” he called. His son lifted his head. “There’s bandages in the cupboard by the sink in the main room. Get it and get Yumiko some ice. Your mom needs something for her cut if she’s going to be stubborn and work on me.”
Sojiro nodded.
Gin lifted a hand to take his hand. “Even if you’re small, there is much you can do, Kit. But start with that.” The boy’s eyes lit up and he nodded again. He sprang from the bed.
Kita’s eyes warmed. “Whoever said you’re not good with kids hasn’t seen you with either of these kids, my love.” She leaned over and kissed his forehead. “Thank you for cheering our son up. I - I don’t want him dwelling on what happened.”
Gin nodded and moved his hand to her cheek. “I’m grateful that Yumiko reminded you that hope is still within your reach, dearest.” He paused. “You scared me too deeply back there.”
"Reasoning got the best of me after Vale struck Yumiko. It was too easy. All of it. I don't believe Aizen is dead. Not after the illusion Vale pulled. It was Vale or Aizen that pulled off the death of the King of Las Noches."
She touched her neck. "Too bad they could not make mine and your injuries illusions as well." She giggled softly leaning forward kissing his cheek gently. "I will heal you as quickly as I can. We need you with Sumi not being able to reach me right now. So don't fight me on it. I will be fine."
Gin chuckled once more. “You’re the most stubborn woman I’ve ever met, dearie.”
She smiled. “But you still love me, right?”
Gin’s hand trailed down to the cut and the blood seeping into the crimson silk. “And I forever will.”
Sojiro stepped back into the room. “She has to be stubborn to deal with you.”
Gin rolled his eyes. “And who said that one?”
“Ken-nii!”
Kita started laughing and Gin muttered about that ‘runt needing to respect his elders’.
Sojiro giggled and returned to his side, curling up on his side. Gin wrapped an arm around him and locked eyes with his lover. The azure eyes shone. Thanking her. His arm tightened.

Holding ice to her the side of her head, Yumiko sat on a table in the main room. She didn’t want to sit on the couch or at the console right now. All memories were too sharp after Alister’s stunt, and she didn’t want to particularly remember a certain night. She looked down to her ring for the third time.
She didn’t know how much time Aizen or the one pulling the strings to this whole affair would give them. And she needed to help Kita. But what would she do when she saw Vale again? He had given his word to let her go back if she wanted to. He had told her to go to Kita. She sighed. Pacing hadn’t helped with this avenue of thought and neither had sitting and soothing her head.
She would just have to see him again.
That was the only way she would have her answer.
Yumiko set the ice aside and reached into herself for her kido, setting her hand on the place above her temples where the worst of the pain resided. Diluting her injury, she stopped and stood.
Returning to help Kita and her lover.

Under his arm, Sojiro had fallen asleep, soothing his father’s worry for him. Surely, if he could still sleep as soundly as he was, he could recover from what he had forced to witness to. Kita shared another look with him and then both of their attention shifted as Yumiko entered the room.
Relaxing, Gin gave her a faint smirk. “Glad you’re feeling better.” He waved his free hand at Kita. “This woman is too stubborn for her own good, and on top of that, she makes a convincing argument for her schemes.”
Kita giggled and Yumiko shook her head, walking over. “I am going to start with that cut on your neck.” Kita shook her head covering the cut on her neck, “let’s focus on Gin together. We need him worse than I am needed. He is the strongest of us.”
Yumiko nodded, concentrating her Kido on Gin, her eyes drifting to the kimono Kita was still wearing. Her smile grew. “Somehow, it’s cathartic to see this kimono ruined.”
Kita huffed. “Trust me. I fought every step of the way with wearing it because of its history.” And then smiled, too. “And I know what you mean.”
Gin raised an eyebrow. “Care to explain for those who are lost?”
Yumiko only nodded to Kita and continued to work.
Kita looked to her lover again. “It’s the kimono Yumiko was wearing her first night with Aizen.” She made another face. “And it’s not the first time he’s tried to get me into it.”
Gin tapped his fingers along his chest. “Let me guess. It got a rise out of you last time too.”
“Of course!” Kita snapped. She colored and lowered her voice. “I may not have known Yumiko well back then, but I would still feel guilty about anyone being persuaded into that man’s control.”
“That’s the point,” Gin murmured. He squeezed her hand. “Next time he pulls a stunt like this, don’t react. At all. Just go along with it. He’ll drop that particular barb. Once the weapon’s broken, he moves on. He doesn’t hesitate.”

The four remained in the room, Sojiro still sleeping soundly at his father’s side. Kita and Yumiko on either side of him healing him as quickly as they could and making sure all major injuries where healed. It was a couple of hours later and Gin was up moving around the room.
Kita turned going to lay down as she heard Gin call out to her.
“Kita,” he turned toward her seeing her trying to lie down.
Pushing up with a smile she replied, “Yes, love?”
He walked toward her, placing his hand to her shoulder and gently pushed her toward the bed.
“I thought you wanted me?” Kita questioned as she laid her head on his pillow.
Gin kissed her temple with a smirk, whispering softly to her, “I do, but there is a time and place for everything.” He kissed her softly again. Lifting, he looked to Yumiko. “It’s nothing another set of hands can’t help me with.” He looked to Kita again, “You rest.”
Stepping away from the bed, he walked toward the door to go into the main room. “Yumiko, can you help please?”
Yumiko nodded, getting up from the bed and followed Gin out. Kita smiled. Rolling over, she took Sojiro in her arms, tugging him toward her as she held him close. Burying her face in his silver hair, she whispered.
“I am so sorry, Sweetie. You should be home in your own bed sleeping. Not here. Not in Las Noches.” She kissed the back of his head, closing her eyes as a tear slipped down the side of her face.

Yumiko closed the door behind them and Gin walked over to the computers. Blowing dust from the huge console pad, he sat down. Having this part of his domain intact fueled his confidence. He could free his son and his lover from this hell. Again.
“Does it still work?” Yumiko asked.
Gin nodded. “If it didn’t, the keypad on the door wouldn’t.” He started typing quickly and about a dozen graphs and charts rose up. A flicker of amusement rose at those still being operable. But he pushed those all to the side, reaching for the map. Hitting a few more buttons, he pressed enter.
The hallways lit up in three colors.
“What does that mean?” Yumiko asked.
“It’s showing me how many of the secret passages I inserted into Las Noches’ design either remain unexplored, destroyed, or are no longer hidden,” he murmured. He leaned on his better hand and observed the detailed display. Very few remained undiscovered, but that didn’t surprise him. The question was how many he could exploit because they were known. Could he find another hiding spot before someone came for them here?
He hissed as hunching over made his left shoulder throb. His main wound from the Ayakashi. One of the injuries that had been only partly healed.
Yumiko frowned from behind him. “I can’t believe that there are passages Aizen doesn’t know about.”
Gin chuckled. “That’s because if it wasn’t a sort of game to see if anyone could surprise him, he would.” His eyes narrowed.
“Did you?” the noble asked.
Gin stayed silent. And then started pushing more buttons.
He froze as a blurry image rose up from a certain camera.
For a moment only.
He pushed a button underneath the desk, the room filled with a gas, and Yumiko slid soundlessly into his arms. He pushed the same button once more, canceling the action, and set her on the couch.
He looked to the computer again and wiped it clean. This time he wouldn’t leave anything to chance.

It had felt like hours since Kita had slipped into her dream world, a world far away from the realm of hell called Las Noches that she woke to. A bad feeling had woke her making her stomach roll and skin crawl. Gently and slowly she slid her arm from under Sojiro as he still slept soundly. She lifted from the bed and walked toward the door.
She opened it looking toward the console first. It was awake, screens flickering from room to room throughout Las Noches, but no Gin. She turned to look around the room seeing Yumiko lying on the couch asleep. Walking out into the room Kita headed toward the kitchen thinking she would find Gin there. When she did not see him a small panic rose inside of her. Quickly she entered her old bedroom and walked over to the bathroom flinging the door open. The room was dark and no Gin in sight.
Turning, she practically ran back to the main room over to the couch. Looking Yumiko’s body over with her powers making sure there were no serious injuries, she then shook her lightly patting her cheek when she did not respond after the first couple of arousal's.
“Yumiko. Yumiko.” Kita called to her, “wake up. Where is Gin? What happened? Yumiko. Wake up."
Yumiko woke and blinked as her vision wavered. “Um…. Kita…when… how…” Finally waking, she jolted up from her place on couch. “What- what happened? When did I fall asleep?”
"I don't know. I was not out here with you two. What was the last thing you remember?"
"I think it was Ichimaru looking at the controls. I asked him if there was a time he surprised Aizen and.... I think that's the last thing that happened." She looked to the console and a extreme wave of heavness rose in her. She slumped forward.
Kita caught Yumiko before she fell off the couch. Her eyes then narrowed. "Yumiko? Do you remember smelling anything funny? -- Yumiko --" Kita called, her voice slightly raised.
Kita looked the way of the console laying Yumiko back on the couch. Sitting down in the chair in front of it, Kita took a deep breath and looked at the keyboard then the screens. She closed her eyes and pulled up memories she had buried for years deep inside of her, but she had to remember. At least this--she had to remember. As it quickly started coming back to her Kita started typing on the keyboard then reached up and swiped away a couple of screens as different rooms popped up on the screens. Kita narrowed her eyes at what she saw letting the flats of her hands slam down on the keyboard.
"That son of a bitch!!" Kita growled.

Yumiko hurried over, her eyes narrowing and head clearing at the sight of her first lover leaning back in his throne. Still dressed in the blood of his 'death.' Waiting. For what? Kita swore under her breath again. Yumiko touched her hand. Kita spun around. “Quiet,” she whispered. “You’ll wake Soji.”
Kita started and the nodded. She glared at the screen one more time before turning away, heading for the door.
“Where are you going?” Yumiko called out.
"To get to him before Gin does," she hissed. "I am not letting that bastard lead him into another trap. And I am not going to lose him."
Yumiko slapped her cheeks to be assured she wouldn't fall asleep. "Wait up," she called. "You'll need help."
Kita paused. "You sure? If you stay here, you might prolong any trouble you're in."
Feeling warmth flow through her at her friend's worry, Yumiko chuckled. "Worry about yourself for once," she replied. "Considering we are both without our blades, we have a better chance at preventing something together."
Kita took Yumiko’s hand in hers squeezing it gently, smiling brightly at her. “I know two Kido spells, thanks to you, and I have the shield Kisuke discovered,” she paused and giggled softly. “That I have only used twice and that was in training. If I can get my hands on a sword, I might be able to do something, but in strength they have me beat. At least right now…” she sighed at the thought of being cut off from Sumi. “Damn it! Why did he run off on his own?” Kita cast her eyes down shaking her head. “And he calls me stubborn."
"He wanted to protect his family," Yumiko whispered. Kita sighed and shook her head again, her eyes filling with tears. Yumiko's own eyes eyes narrowed in concentration. "If you can shield us if we get in any conflicts, I still have fireworks to deter most normal pursuers. It's difficult to move from defensive to offensive, but if I can stay on the attack, I can increase my speed."
Kita nodded once more and the two left the room, Kita's pace near frantic. Neither paid attention to the door.

A chill seeping into his clothes pulled Sojiro from the warm sleep that had claimed him in his father’s arms. Blinking, he sat up and rubbed his eyes. Loud speaking drew his attention. Tiptoeing to the doorway, he listened as his mother and Yumiko talked quickly and then left. The door to their new fortress hadn’t closed. Sojiro hesitated. And turned to go back to the bed. To wait.
A hint of metal caught his eye and he opened the cupboard. A sword was there. He took ahold of it. Maybe he could help. He turned around. He froze. A pale man with piercing green eyes looked down at him. His grip on the blade tightened. And the man held out a hand. “You’re not safe here. Come.” Sojiro hesitated. “Bravery gets you nowhere when you are weak, and I am to retrieve your mother. It would be easier on her if you come quietly.” Sojiro’s eyes narrowed. “You won’t harm her?” The espada nodded. “I will not have to.” Sojiro placed the sword in his hand but held onto it. “Swear it.” Ulquiorra’s lips quirked into a faint smile. Sojiro felt an answering smile grow. He could help. Moved

"Dominant Play": (continued) Gin reappeared in his room with Kita breathless from her ride. He slammed the door of his suite shut, knowing better than to leave Las Noches, and set the highest protections. His curiosity flared then found a more important focus on the woman panting as she rode him, legs wrapped tightly around his hips. He grinned and shunpo'ed to his room, closing the door, and laying her on the bed. He slid up, wrapping himself around her glistening form. "Still hungry, dearie?"

Kita smiled staring deep into his eyes, "I am always hungry for you." She pressed her lips to his slipping her tongue into his mouth. In a long heated kiss which did not last long as a loud pounding echoed through the main room. Kita tried to pull back from the kiss, Gin only holding her trapped in the kiss as he pushed against her his hand on her hip pulling her toward him as he slipped deeper into her.
Kita moaned through the kiss as he rocked into her, her legs wrapped tightly around his waist. Her arms wrapped around his neck pulling him toward her their bodies sliding together.

Gin purred deeply, savoring the flavor of the kiss as he rocked into her at a steady pace. As she whined for him to go faster, he dragged both of her hands off of him and held them over his head. “Shhh, love, there’s no need to rush this.” Another bang echoed out from the direction of the main room and he chuckled. “No need at all.” He took control of her lips again, rubbing against her inner walls with the head of his shaft, pushing their arousal slowly up.

Kita moaned again deeply, reaching her peek as she pushed her hips into Gin's. Her inner walls tightening around his member. Quickly she drew a breath biting her lower lip trying to hold back the urge to cum.
She whine loudly trying to keep Gin from going too deep, "Not yet, not yet." Kita cried out softly as Gin pressed his member deeper into her. She gasp for air as the head of his member pushed against her cervix.
"Not yet?" he whispered, licking her ear. "Not yet, hmmm? What then, dear heart, shall I do next?" He smirked as an idea came to his mind and rolled. As Kita moaned and squirmed, he slipped out of her and spread her out. Holding her down as he sucked on her swollen clit. Kita arched upwards, but the hand circling her stomach kept her in place.
Kita squirmed madly under his hold as she pushed her hips forward to get more of his tongue deep inside her, her hands went to the back of his head combing her fingers through his silver hair. She grabbed a handful arching her back as her head pushed back into the pillow. Gin's tongue and now long fingers penetrating her deeply. She gasp as a soft scream slipped from her. A hand dropping from his hair to the bed as she clenched the blanket under them.
"Gin!"

His smirk etched permanently across his face, Gin’s tongue slicked up and down her cavern as his fingers stroked her pulsing pearl of pleasure, pushing her screams louder and louder as her body and legs trembled in his hold. A bolt shot in the other room, but Kita was deaf to it. Gin’s mouth released her, licking his lips and memorizing her quivering form as his fingers scissored deeper and deeper and then pulled out to enter her in one hard thrust. They both came loudly, Gin’s head buried in the crook of her neck.
He laced his fingers with one of her hands, turning her panting lips back to his face. Staring into her eyes as he kissed her slowly, languidly. He would get them past this hell again.
