He grabbed her chin and lifted her head as Aizen looked down at her.
"Tell your owner if he don't come see me the second he returns. I will return--" He leaned closer to Kita and licked away her tears. "For you. And I will finish what I have started here."
He released her chin as her head fell to the floor with a thud. Standing he walked back over to the chair where his haori waited for his return. He picked it up and swung it over his back sliding one arm in as he walked through the bedroom door into the main room.
His eyes met none other than Gin Ichimaru's.
He smirked sliding his other arm in his haori, fanning the haori by pulling on the front edges to straighten it on his back.

Gin grinned, covered head to toe in blood, his eyes alight with the darkest pleasure. "Hello, Aizen-san," he greeted in sultry purr, "You'll have to pardon my absence. I found an intruder, had some fun with him, and dropped him off at the shopkeeper's to send a message." The snake licked some blood from Shinsou. "They keep thinking that because they saved my life, I will protect their own. No doubt that foolish kitty who brought the tag-a-long will say as such." He laughed, a low, dark, harsh sound that hadn't been heard in years.
Tossing blood from his eerie silver hair, Gin lifted his head to the ceiling. "It had been too long since Shinsou and I had danced like that. I got carried away when some numeros thought I looked wounded and started a fight. Hopefully, I didn't kill too many in the end."
A slow smirk appeared on his features. "Kita really had no idea where I was, by the way, or who was here. She was completely trapped by her fear of Loki. Even if I left the door open, she wouldn't have been able to escape."

"An intruder you say? That followed Grimmjow in?" Aizen stepped toward Gin. "So you knew Grimmjow had went on his mission?"
Aizen stopped a few feet in front of Gin. "Tell me? Are you aware of the report he brought back with him as well?" His gaze did not leave Gin's.

"I guessed he had," Gin replied, waving his hand. "That was the only conclusion for that small fry getting this far on his own. If he had waited, I am sure the girls would have noticed their follower." He tilted his head. "And I'm guessing the fools mentioned me. Am I correct?"

Aizen laughed at Gin's last statement. "Mentioned you? No--" Aizen's hand lunged forward and grabbed Gin around the throat and squeezed tightly. "You were their main subject, Ichimaru." He started to lift Gin from the floor as he still spoke. "I told you. Let one more piece of the puzzle lead to you and you will be joining Karin. If you're not with me--I will kill you."
Aizen threw Gin across the room as he hit the wall next to them. Gin slid down the wall sitting to the floor as Aizen walked toward him.

In the next moment, Shinsou sliced through his haori's sleeve. "That puzzle piece was already there, Aizen-san," he taunted, retracting his blade, "and you've known it." He stood and walked forwards, the thrill of the hunt still flowing through him. "You've been waiting for it to be confirmed. That's all." He halted, watching his master. "That's why I left puzzle pieces on their side." He vanished, appearing right behind him. "With both sides believing it, someone would act the fool and I could prove once and for all how stupid their hope has been." The snake chuckled harshly. "I apologize if you didn't enjoy the show," Shinsou echoed out as it whirled sinuously around the room. "And if you want to exercise that frustration, I am still fired up from the idiots' soaking my blade," he invited quietly.

Aizen danced around avoiding Shinsou's blade. When he grew tired he disappeared and reappeared next to Gin striking him sending him faltering across the room.
"I am no fool, Ichimaru." Aizen said walking toward him slowly. "I knew of the pieces with the shopkeeper and his kind. However, there is still one piece in play with you that connects you with them." Aizen dodge Shinsou's blade again as it came at him a few more times. The last attack from Shinsou, Aizen appeared behind Gin as Gin turned and Aizen punched him hard in the mouth. Gin flew back sliding to a stop as he leaned slightly forward.
Aizen looked at him from across the room. "Who are you really protecting her for? Them? or You?"

"Why are you so obsessed with her? It's not because she's the seraph," Gin countered, leaning back against the wall. "Because she's connected to me?" He vanished, appearing a few feet behind him. "Because you think you can pry out the last bit of my soul not yours? Not have to look over your shoulder? Or is it something else?"

Aizen laughed and before Gin knew it he was disarmed as Shinsou slid across the floor and Aizen's hand was back around his throat. "And if I told you yes, Ichimaru. What would you do about it? You pale in power and strength compared to me." He smirked as he looked into Gin's eyes. "That's why I was able to kill you so easily the last time. And it looks like the past has caught up with you again."

Gin chuckled in turn. "The answer you asked is a myriad of things. So much of it is a game, like so many other things in my life. Maybe I've kept Kita to see how far I can push her trust, a trust that she gave me blindly from the beginning for no apparent reason. Maybe here I can test and tweak it as you have done with so many others."
He broke his master's gaze and grinned. "It doesn't matter how far I go, I still find myself drawn to the flame again. Only when that perfect opportunity arises to surpass the flame's charisma will I pull away to finish what I started."
He locked eyes with him again. "I may want you dead, Aizen-san, but I've always been your man. It's ironic. My enemy has always been my only master too, and I'm tired of avoiding it."
Gin grabbed Aizen by his haori, ignoring the hand around his throat, and pulled the more powerful man close, kissing him square on the lips.

Being kissed by Ichimaru through Aizen a major curve ball. He let go of Gin's throat as he toppled to the floor below. Aizen looked down at Gin and smirked shaking his head. He turned and walked away from him.
"We will finish this later."
He walked from the room leaving the door open as he walked out.

Standing in the doorway listening and seeing the last part of Gin and Aizen's little conflict, Kita looked to Gin which was sitting to the floor with a wide grin. She was embracing her broken arm, tears still flowing down her cheeks from the pain of not only her arm, but her again beaten body.
She said nothing to Gin as she turned toward her room. What would it matter anyway? Just like all the others that occupied Las Noches she was just a toy in someway so they could get their sick kicks off her. She reached for the door letting go of her arm as a hot pain shot up her arm and through her body. She stumbled and fell into the wall sliding to the floor. She only cried as she pounded her head against said wall.

Hearing her crying, Gin's craze calmed. He sighed and stood up, pulling off his haori and dropping it to the ground, before approaching Kita. He knelt before her, frowning at the swollen broken arm.
At first Kita was determined not to speak to him, but when he cautiously took her arm in his hands to feel the break and reached to soothe the throbbing of her bleeding lip, she cried harder.
"Why, Gin, why?"
Gin rose. "I'll change and then I'll take you to Inoue. Don't move."
She grabbed a fistful of his bloody clothing. "Why?" she repeated.
He smirked over his shoulder. "Because I'm tired of your sniffling and this is my fault." She let go, still confused. "I'll be back," he murmured. The main door closed and then his bedroom door.

When Gin returned Kita was standing leaning against the wall. She looked at him her eyes dull, her tears stopped.
"If you're so tired of my sniffling why didn't you let me leave with Tsukiro?" She turned away from him. "I would be out of your hair then. You would not have to put up with my blind trust in you and you would never have to lay eyes on me again." She stepped forward moving away from the wall as she cradled her arm.
"You know the sad part about all this? I still trust you. Even with all the lies and the mean hateful things I have heard you say about me. I trust you." She continued to walked forward. "I don't judge. I give everyone 100% of my trust until they give me reason not to trust them." She then turned and looked at him again. "I WILL get over what Loki has done and said to me. I WILL get over what Aizen has done and said to me." She shook her head. "But I will NEVER get over what my friend has done and said to me or about me."
She turned again and walked toward the door stopping and waiting for him to come open it. When he walked over to open the door Gin looked at Kita her eyes still dull and no tears fell. He opened the door and the two left for Orihime's room.

"The Price of a Cold Shoulder":The next morning came all too soon for Kita. She sat up and looked around her dull room. When hers eyes fell on the ice green rose she sighed falling back in her bed. The only color it seemed that graced her live at that moment. Even her sleep shirt was white. Laying there she reflected back on what happened last night. A stray tear trickled down her cheek."I've always been your man."
"My enemy has always been my only master."
"I'm tired of avoiding it."
"So much of it is a game."
Over and over it played in her mind. Echoing in her ears. More tears stained her cheeks as the voices continued.
"Maybe I've kept Kita to see how far I can push her trust."
"A trust that she gave me blindly."
"Maybe here I can test and tweak it." She wiped her tears and rolled over burying her face in her pillow.
"A trust that she gave me blindly."
"See how far I can push her trust."
"Her trust..."
"Gave blindly..."
"Why?"
"I'm tired of your sniffling.""Why? Why do I trust him? Why?" Kita asked aloud between whimpers. She pulled the covers up over her head and cried herself back to sleep.
