Yumiko nodded and dusted herself off. She wouldn't give up.
She vanished again, attacking Azayaka from behind and swung her blade up from her side. She disappeared before Azayaka could retaliate, reappearing to the side. Their blades rang out and a crimson rosebud opened at the edge of Mizue's blade. The Kido burst forth.

Azayaka raised a Danku wall then shattered it and thrust her sword forward. Yumiko dodged and countered. Azayaka blocked and flashed around behind her. She tripped her up and wrapped the blunt edge of her blade around her neck, pinning her as she hit the ground.
"You need to work on your speed and your feints could be better."

"Understood," Yumiko murmured. The look in her eyes sharpened as she considered a new strategy. She flexed her hand around Mizue's hilt. "Again?"
Azayaka nodded curtly and raised her sword again.
Yumiko flashed around a few feet to her side and Azayaka vanished to her own side. Yumiko grinned and spread her free hand out, expanding the glowing ball of light. "Horin!"
A golden rope from her own hand latched onto Azayaka's sword arm and yanked her down. Another amber tendril wrapped around her opposite arm.
Azayaka broke free and attacked Yumiko as she finished chanting the next Kido.
"Capture the streaming light of water and toss the net of mirrors...." she looked up, sword flashing, and met her strike. Frowning in concentration, she performed a counterstrike, stepping back from her opponent before she could grab her, and pulled light from her sword.
"Bakudo No. 38: Karagi Hakkou!"
Light engulfed the area and in the next moment, the White Rainbow Binding stretched out between herself and Azayaka, snaring her in the center of the reflective silver net.

Azayaka strained against the multicolored ropes. She severed them with her sword and dashed towards Yumiko. She tried to start another Kido chant, but Azayaka was upon her before she finished. The two exchanged blows, Yumiko being forced back by the force of Azayaka's attacks. When she found an opening, she tried flashing around behind her and striking at her back. However, Azayaka blocked the attack without looking by placing her blade behind her. She wrapped her arm around herself and pointed behind her.
"Raikoho!"
Yumiko was sent flying back by bolts of yellow lighting. Azayaka turned around and walked over to her.
"Kido is strong, no arguments there. However, when you use a chant, if you don't speak it fast enough, it leaves an opening for attack. Even when you say it fast, you still leave openings. Also work on performing the higher level Kido spells without a chant to eliminate the chance for your opponent to attack while you are chanting. My father can do up to level ninety without a chant. At that level, when he does use the chant, it strengthens the already impossibly strong spell exponentially. That is when you should use a chant, and be sure to use it when the chance of your opponent attacking you while you are speaking is at its lowest."

"I understand," Yumiko murmured, sitting up from her fall. Ulquiorra had warned her that her training would get more rough from here on, but she hadn't thought through how the speed would limit her ability to use Kido well. Or... maybe she was over-thinking this. She'd learned the chants for most of the kido spells up to the fifties before she'd arrived. True, there had been gaps, but maybe if she ... Mizue chimed up at her. She stood up and then vanished, not waiting for her teacher to attack.
Trust in her abilities.
Azayaka came at her from the side. Mizue guided her to meet the strike and turning, she wove a crescent slash upwards before swinging outwards to release their blades. "Soukatsui"
The blast of pale blue energy shot from her hand, and Azayaka's Danku shield rose up around her.
Yumiko took advantage of that to flash behind her. Azayaka blocked and reached for her kimono. Yumiko let her teacher pull herself forward, a Shakkaho blast ready with her free hand at her hold. Her jacket ripped and she arched her blade down.

Azayaka blocked her blade and flashed back to gain some distance. She decided to try something new on her. If she could counter this, she could counter just about anything. And if she could, she'd let her rest for the rest of the day.
Azayaka raised her hands. Violet energy charged at her palms. "Cero!!"

Yumiko’s eyes narrowed. Lightning arched up her arms, ripping the sleeves of her jacket up to her shoulders. Ignoring the stab of pain in her arms, she raised her zanpakuto. Mizue no Kagami dimmed then flared out like a beacon of pure white light. Drawing more raw power form the incoming blast, two huge white wings opened on either side of the blade and a long ghostly blue neck arced from the center. “Soren. Soukatsui!” Yumiko bit out. The phoenix launched, meeting Azayaka’s blast head on. Energy whipped around the canopy, slicing through boulders and the splintering the ceiling. Then, both centers of energy died out, and the long tail still wrapped around Mizue no Kagami faded. Yumiko fell to one knee. Thin lines of blood ran down both arms.

Azayaka walked up to Yumiko and held out her hand. "You did well. We're done here. Go and rest. Lord Aizen will be proud to hear that you are improving."

"Thank you," Yumiko murmured, accepting her hand. She leaned on Azayaka for a couple moments, her legs shaking underneath her from using that technique on that high of a level of Kido. She smiled. It reminded her of the rush of freedom she felt after using the Soukatsui blast at the boulder outside of her balcony after that day Aizen had started to truly erase her fear. She let go and sheathed Mizue no Kagami.
"Thank you, Azayaka," she said with a fierce gleam in her eyes, "you were right. Strength does make you forget the shackles of your past." She chuckled and carefully shed her smoking gloves. "Though I might have done more than these gloves allowed me to," she stated, looking at the light burns with a shrug. "It's practice with healing."

Azayaka nodded. She looked over at the many towers of Las Noches. One in particular catching her eye. She turned back to Yumiko. "I have somewhere to be. Go get some rest and heal your wounds." Yumiko nodded and Azayaka turned and walked off.
With fast paces, she rushed through the canopy, back to the interior palace, her body aching to be touched.

"Out of The Blue":
Trying to avoid as much traffic as she could and being one of the few places Kita could retreat, Kita disappeared under Las Noches' canopy. She was starting to finally hear Sumi again and she really did not want to be in Master Gin's room meditating. She wanted to be somewhere outside, in the sun with a warm breeze and singing birds, but since there nothing like that around Las Noches she had to settle for second best. So the sunny canopy was her next best bet since she wanted outside.
She found an out of the way place with a tall tree and sat down under it. She leaned back in the grass and closed her eyes her hands resting across her stomach. She took a deep breath and let her mind sync with Sumi's.

Sensing the Seraph, Grimmjow knew Kita was close. In following the orders from his master. He sought her out under the canopy. When he found her, someone would have thought someone laid her out for burial. She laid on her back, her hands across her stomach, legs straight and eyes closed. She was in her arrancar uniform which covered little to nothing on her body with a short skirt and sleeveless bodice like top that had wide curved shoulder straps that sat off her shoulders.
He scoffed shaking his head. She had one hell of a figure Grimmjow could not deny that, she had a tiny frame with large breasts. Her hair was long and almost black as night. When he stepped up next to her his grin widened.
"A sleeping Angel." He spoke softly.
He lowed him over her on all fours his face over hers as he hovered there.
"Wakey wakey Sleeping Beauty."

Hearing a familiar, but yet unfamiliar voice, Kita's eyes shot open and she went to lift quickly. Only to be met with a hand in the center of her chest pushing her back down. Her eyes widened when she saw it was Grimmjow, the sixth Espada.
"You know who I am right? And if you hurt me you will pay with your life."
She lay there not fighting against him. She had heard he had a nasty temper and a blood lust that was hard to feed. She did not want him to turn on her. So she remained calm and kept her voice nonaggressive.

Grimmjow grinned down at her. "Of course I know who you are. Do I look like a fool? Anyone that's someone, know who you are. If they don't then they don't live in the palace."
He moved closer to her as she turned her head. Extending his tongue and licked her cheek, drawing closer to her ear and whispered. "You taste good."
Grimmjow's hand then rested to her hip as she flinched slightly.
"Are you scared of me?"

Kita shook her head. "No, I don't fear. I respect. I am not a fool either, Sixta. I know I have no power against any of you here in Las Noches. If I fight I would only get hurt."
She heard him scoff as his hand moved down her hip to her leg. Kita quickly closed eyes her head still turned. "But know this. Once my Master hears what you have done to me. He will go looking for your head. I can promise you that much."
