Orihime was left alone again. Aizen's words stung and cut her deeply. She clenched her chest as if her heart had just exploded inside. Had she really been forgotten? Would Aizen really go that far to break her? She dropped her chin to her chest and cried loudly, until she was hoarse and exhausted. She he lay down on the floor, her eyes towards the ceiling. "Home..." She wiped her face dry and sighed. "Ichigo..."

"The Pledge, The Turn, The Prestige (continued)":Orihime awakened just as Vale's blade was reforming. He looked to her. "You are quite the screamer. Bad dream?" She sat up and turned in bed, sitting next to him. She said nothing to him. "Aizen's given me orders to take you back. He said he has no use for you." Vale stood and sheathed his blade. He began to walk towards the door of her room, when she called out to him. "I don't want to go." "Oh?" a sly grin formed. "And, why the sudden change of heart? I heard you told the Yumiko that you didn't wanted to stay, earlier today." Orihime shook her head. "I'm staying." She stood and walked over to him and placed her hand on his chest. She pushed him out of her room. "What about your family? Your friends?" "Fuck them." She slammed her door. "Fuck them all." Vale turned, bowed to his invisible audience and headed for his room.

"Letters to the Wind II":Ichigo,
I don't know why I am writing to you. I never actually send these letters. Las Noches doesn't have mail men...Anyway, Vale has been nicer to me. But, it's weird because he's ignoring me and leaving me alone for the most part. I should be happy, right? I mean, he's done pretty mean things to me and now he's stopped. I should be all yay! But, I'm not. I'm actually pretty sad about it. And, it's not because he's using all my lotion again. Maybe...Maybe, if I asked, Aizen would let me go home...
Maybe...

"Family Bonds":Sojiro was angry. With himself. With Vale. With Kenji. With his mother and father. He had been this close to getting out this hellhole, and Vale had 'kindly' pushed him back. And though his parents had kissed, they had separated again. Sojiro tossed a pillow at his closed door. Freezing time as it fell. He sighed and let it continue falling, turning around and kicking at his bed and then just falling on top of it.
He was tired of the games here.

Kita walked up to the door of his room and knocked softly. "Sojiro?" He did not respond so she knocked and called out to him again. "Sojiro?" Still he did not reply. She sighed softly her hand now flat on the door as she moved closer to it.
"Alright sweetie, I understand and I will leave you alone. Though if you want to talk I am back in the room. Just come get me." She turned starting a path back to the main room.

Sojiro muttered into his pillow. He didn’t like making her sigh. Rolling off the bed, he walked out and opened the door. “Mom?” he called. She stopped and turned around with a soft smile. Unfortunately, her hair shifted and revealed her kiss mark. His eyes narrowed.
At least the walls cover up those noises.
He looked at a place on the wall nearby. “How long do we have before he takes you again?”

She sighed again she hated seeing him hurt. She quickly walked up to him taking him in her arms and started to cry. "I am sorry sweetie. I know how this tears at you. That's why I wanted you out of here. At least with your father you would not have to witness any of this."
She pulled back wiping away her tears as she then brushed his bangs from his eyes. "I know it would be hard on all of us being so far apart. I know that, but I hate having to see you go through this. I just wish Vale would have let Kisuke take you."

“Then why did you let him?” he retorted, growling softly. He turned his head, making her lower her hand, his own going to his collar. “I don’t want him to hurt you, Mom, but - but he gets away with too much with you. And then - then there’s your sick bargain to keep me safe, which puts you on Aizen’s ego-twisted arm. It’s wrong!” He yanked at the collar, looking back at her, into her vulnerable, wet eyes.
He felt bad all over again.
“Please don’t cry, Mother.” He brushed at her cheek.
“I just - I don’t want to see them break their word and you hurt more.” He let his hand fall. “The bastards put Yuzu back in chains… after promising Aunt Yumiko she’d be safe.”

"I know," she spoke softly. "But we have to trust Vale. I know it sound odd coming from my mouth and trust me I know how you feel. I - One time, I was there. With your father. Though I never stopped trusting your father from day one, there were days I doubted his motives with what he was trying to do. It's the same thing with Vale. We have to trust that what he is doing is best even if we are suffering." She cupped his cheeks in her hands, looking into his eyes.
"I know it's hard, I do, but as long as we are alive, any mental or physical wound can be healed as long as we have one another."

“That sounds so silly,” he murmured, “well like it belongs on those shows you took me to.” He sighed. “Why do you trust him, Mom? Why? Is it because of the kid? Or is it something else?” He pulled back, feeling another wave of anger. “I mean, he shouldn’t be touching you. He was with Yumiko. And you love Dad still. Right?” He blushed and looked down. “Sorry, stupid question.” He shuffled his feet.

She pulled him into her arms. "I will always love your father, and no I don't trust Vale because of the baby. I trust him because of something he asked me one night and something he told me."
His eyes begged her to tell him as she shook her head. "Come on, mom. You want me to trust this man you need to tell me. You know I won't breath a word of it to anyone."
"You don't have to speak it for it to get around. All you have to do is be touched by Koga and Aizen will know."
Sojiro scowled. "Even if he can read me like that, Daichi won't let it go too far. He'd protect me whether I wanted him to or not. Especially when he's no longer hiding what he is." He paused. "So tell me."
Kita sighed looking at her son as Daichi chattered from his shoulder. She reached up and rubbed him between his eyes. "Alright." She looked back to Sojiro taking his hands in hers. "He asked me how badly I wanted Aizen dead. When I told him he continued on with a bunch of different things that were on his mind, but when he finished he told me in the end he needed me to kill Aizen."

Sojiro paled. “Wha- what the hell?!” He stepped back and shook his head. “But I don't understand. He’s - he’s on Aizen’s side. If he wasn’t, why does he keep beating Dad up? And why are you supposed to do it? Dad has always said that it would take Kisuke. That’s why we knew he would escape. So why - why you? I mean, if this is the case, what the hell is he doing putting you with Aizen?!"

"If you think about it Sojiro I am safer with Aizen than anyone when Vale is not around. They have my powers locked down when I am not in this room. It has always been rule of thumb that I am off limits to the hollow of this realm. The only time any of them have ever gotten their hands on me was because Aizen had willed it. Now Vale, like your father, will not allow that." She lowered her head, shaking it.
"And I don't understand why Vale keeps attacking your father. I mean I know why, but I don't understand why he would care. He knows I love your father very much. Its not like I want him kept away from me."

Sojiro muttered beneath his breath and walked back into his room, sitting on the bed. "I don't like it, Mom. I don't like him using you for this - whatever it is. I don't like him letting Aunt Yumiko fall further and further away from any of us. And I don't like him pushing everyone around as if we were on some kind of chess board!"
He ran a hand through his hair, eyes glittering violet with unease. "He LET Kisuke take Dad but pulled me back as if he had something for me to do here. He LET some people get away but reeled the rest back in as if he were stopping kids getting out of trouble. If he's not smiling about some damned plan, his damned god is."
He took a breath. "I just have a bad feeling, and each time something big goes down, like your bargain, and even this rescue of Kisuke's, it's not going away." He closed his eyes. "I just want to freeze time and stop it."

She walked over sitting next to him wrapping her arm around his shoulders. "Each step brings him closer to his goal. Whatever that goal might be, but we just have to hang in there and keep our hope alive that Vale will end this much sooner that later." She leaned over and kissed the side of his head.
Sojiro watched his mom through pools of pale blue. "But at what cost? At what cost will it be if we just wait?" He hesitated, eyes narrowing again. "Mom, I have a favor to ask."
"What, sweetie?"
"Ask Vale to get this damned collar off me and give me my zanpakuto."
Kita sat back slightly with a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "I will see what I can do. There are a couple of other things I want to talk to him about as well. I just hope he lets me have them without more deals."
