"One of my old friends from the Shihoin clan owns a restaurant. One of the best in the Seireitei. He wanted me to stop by sometime, so I was planning on dropping by for a meal. Would you like to come? His food is excellent," he smiled at her, hoping she would agree.

She smiled warmly looking ahead of them then quickly to Tsukiro. "Did you just ask me on a date, Tsukiro?" She abruptly stopped and looked at him.

Tsukiro stopped and gave her a mischievous smirk. "Maybe. Depends on if you're going to say yes or not." He winked at her. "What do you say? Have lunch with me?"

Naomi giggled blushing slightly. "Sure. Why not. It'll be fun." She grabbed Tsukiro's hand and pulled him to the next stand she wanted to go to to pick something up. She got her items from the merchant after paying for them and the two walked off.
"So tell me Tsukiro? Why do you want to be a captain so bad. You know it will take up all your time." She looked over to him. "You will hardly have any free time at all."

"I want to change things. There are many things wrong with the system. And with the way we are now, Aizen will eat us, chew us up and spit us back out. Even more than he did last time. I won't let that happen. On top of that, this is the path I know I need to take to better myself for the one that I care about."
His own words struck a cord with him. Kita. He was doing all of this for the both of them. And here he was conversing and flirting with Naomi, when he said he would wait for her. Did he like Naomi? Yes. She was very sweet and very beautiful. But Kita was the one he wanted to be with. Which meant that before he got any farther with Naomi, he had to explain things to her. He wouldn't hurt her by lying to her and leading her on. He turned and smiled at her. It was then that he decided that he would explain things to her over lunch.
"I always knew I was destined to be a captain and the commander of the Stealth Force. And now, finally my time has come. If I can at least prevent things from happening to others like what happened to you, then I will be able to label my work as a Soul Reaper meaningful and successful." |

"But its not all that bad. I mean... well... maybe the way they did it. But the more I hear about this Aizen character I am kinda glad I am here. I am safer than I would be in the human realm, and I had no idea how to defend myself with my powers. Here I got to learn all that. If I were left to my own who knows what would have happened." She looked to Tsukiro.
"I could have hurt someone. A good friend or even my mom."

He nodded, giving her a small smile. "A gift in bad wrapping. I suppose that is better than the reverse. You've done things in only a few years that I have not accomplished in even a century. If I knew how you did it, I'd be a whole lot better off right now." He gave a big sigh, stretching. "I'm starving. Shall we head to the restaurant?"

Naomi giggled and looked at him. "You just had a snack, and your hungry?" Tsukiro chuckled scratching the back of his head.
"I'm always hungry." Tsukiro laughed.
"Well don't let me stand in your way." She took hold of his hand and smiled. "Lead the way dear sir."

"With pleasure," Tsukiro smiled.
After a short walk to the restaurant district, Tsukiro led her to a fancy restaurant on the corner of a cross street. It was two stories tall with many windows. Tsukiro pushed the curtains aside to reveal a lavish inside with several kotatsu tables and even a center bar where chefs made sushi and meat dishes over hot stoves and grills right in front of the guests. It was well lit and had a relaxing atmosphere and aroma. Mouthwatering scents wafted over to the from the kitchen and the grills. Waitresses scurried around with trays of food.
"Wow. Nice. Sejin has outdone himself," Tsukiro whistled. |

Naomi breathe deep taking in the scents around her. "Mmmm," she hummed. "It smells so good." She pointed across the room to a table in the back that seated two. "Do we have to wait or can we just sit down?"

Tsukiro was about to say something when a loud boisterous voice shouted his name. The turned to see a dark haired man with his hair tied back into a tight ponytail, a well groomed beard and dark eyes. He had a wide smile and wore a white kimono, hakama and haori. Tsukiro grinned as he walked up to them.
"Sejin," Tsukiro greeted as the tall man hugged him tightly, slapping him on the back hard. Tsukiro rubbed his shoulder and winced. "You said you wanted me to stop by, well, here I am." He turned to Naomi. "This is Naomi Kato."
Sejin nodded and held his hand out to Naomi. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Kato. Welcome to my restaurant. The two of you are welcome to sit wherever you like. Order anything you like. It's all on the house." |

"Wow! Really? Thank you." Naomi replied bowing to the man. She quickly took Tsukiro's hand again and looked back at the table she first point out. However, she waited for him to make sure he was done talking to his friend.

Tsukiro chuckled at Naomi's eagerness and bowed to Sejin, who bowed back. "Thank you, Sejin. It's good to see you again."
"No problem, Tsukiro. You're welcome here any time. No charge." He smiled at his friend as well. "As are you, Miss Kato." |

Naomi bowed quickly again and tugged Tsukiro over to the table she picked out. When Tsukiro sat down she sat down in the chair next to him. The waitress then walked over giving them menus.
She took their drink order, they thanked her and she went off to get their drinks. Naomi opened her menu first her eyes growing wide. "Wow! They have all kinds of goodies to pick from."

Tsukiro looked over the menu. "Wow. He's got a lot of his classics on here. I've tried several of these. I think I'll go to Hisagi and ask if I can write a review for the Seireitei Communication."
He smiled up at her. "Anything you see that you would like to try?" |
