“Get away from her, you freak!” Ichigo yelled, banging his fists on the containment cube. “Whatever you’re thinking, I won’t let you and neither will Kisuke.” He let out more of his reiatsu, drawing his blade and piercing the crack he had created. Another larger rip appeared, and then Ichigo cursed as he bounced around the sides again as it vibrated - as if in warning.
“Kurotsuchi, you have a job. And it’s to get me out of here. NOW!"

Kita looked to Mayuri as their eyes locked, quickly she lifted her hand and busted the containment barrier around Ichigo, but no sooner then she busted it and Ichigo step forward, it appeared around him again. Kita looked in shock toward Ichigo. Then quickly back at the Captain.
"Get him out of there! I swear if you touch me I will scream." Kita told him.

Mayuri chuckled, "I am not going to hurt you." His head titled slightly. "Are you sure I can't interest you in a visit to my lab?" He watched the Goddess shake her head quickly as she announced and pointed at Ichigo again.
"Just get him out of there!" Kita insisted.
Mayuri turned back looking at the Substitute. He chuckled softly as he watched him pound against the barrier wall. Pulling out his soul phone he made a call. "Shut the grid down for now." His face contorted. "Don't question me you ignorant wretch. JUST DO IT!"
Before Mayuri had his phone back in his pocket the barrier was down. He looked to the fuming Ichigo as the Goddess walked over to him wrapping her arm around his waist and resting on hand to his chest.
"Calm down, Ichi." Mayuri heard her tell him.
Mayuri grinned, tilting his head at them. "Why so mad, Substitute? You are unharmed. No damage done." His hands came up from his sides palms up as he shrugged at them.

Ichigo glared at the infuriating captain scientist. “A shield should NOT be attacking me and making my head ring!” he hissed. He held a hand to his head until Kita set her own on it, quieting the buzzing that persisted after being tossed around with a slow healing stream. He sighed but his anger at the situation stayed. Irritated, he whirled on the calm scientist. “And what the heck is it in the first place? I haven’t done anything to warrant being locked up.”

"It was a containment cube you neanderthal. Are you that dense?" Mayuri looked to the two as the Goddess lowered her hand from the substitutes head. "I must say, I find it every interesting how the Goddess shattered the barrier and it immediately formed back around you. Can we do that again?"
"I have no interest in being one of your experiments," Ichigo replied, steadily. "And I am already on a mission." He turned around, paused, and then faced the scientist again. "You never explained what a containment cube was doing here in the first place. I refuse to let my sister be caught in this."
Mayuri waved his hand carelessly as he walked around them. "You will never have to worry about that." Mayuri quickly leaning in, bursting Ichigo's personal bubble as he got right in his face. "Unless she has hollow in her as well?"
Just as quickly as Mayuri got his his face he back off rubbing his chin his eyes darting to the Goddess. "Why did it not capture you? Hmmmm?"
Quickly he was at her side closing in on her. "You're not a hollow but then again you're not of Soul Society either. I wonder." He spun and stepped lively down the walk way. "I think I will keep you both here until I have this figured this out." He waved his hand again as two of his subordinates appeared. "Take them--," Mayuri turned covering his mouth with a fisted hand, looking at both his men, Ichigo and the Goddess. "I mean. Show them to Division Twelve while I go talk to the Commander."

Ichigo threw a hand out as a shield for Kita, hand going to his blade. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," he stated. "I really hate attacking you guys, but we are already on a mission. Besides," his eyes narrowed, "Kisuke gave specific instructions to keep Kita away from you. After your interest in Uryu, I think I will take his orders to heart and continue towards the Captain Commander's office." He looked at the group around him as they hesitated before moving forward again "Really, do you want to do this?" he growled.

Mayuri sighed rubbing his forehead. "I only need you to help me figure out this new security system. I promise." He grinned then let it fade quickly. "That is all I will be using you two for. If you want the Commander can come to the lab with you to keep you safe."
A brow raised as he looked to the substitute. "That is if you're that afraid of me?"

Ichigo huffed and removed his hand from his sword but didn’t straighten up. “I am not afraid of you. Uryu defeated you on our first visit. I think that shows me what level your powers are at.”
He looked to Kita. “We have something to deliver to the Commander. It’s simple as that.”

Nodding Kita looked from Ichigo to Mayuri. "Kisuke is expecting us back quickly, Captain Kurotsuchi. He told us to deliver the paperwork to the Captain Commander and return back. I'm really sorry."
Kita looked from Mayuri to Ichigo and nodded again as Ichigo nodded in agreement. She looked back to the Captain trying to offer compromise. "Maybe next time Kisuke can come back up with us and help you figure it out if it is throwing you that much of a fit."

Mayuri glared, his eyes wild with madness as he looked to the Goddess. His hands clenching tightly as he screeched. "I DON'T NEED THAT BUMBLING IDIOT HERE HELPING ME DO ANYTHING!!" He stormed toward them.
"I JUST NEED YOU~ TO USE IN THE EXPERIMENT TO SET THE PROGRAM CORRECTLY!!"

“Calm down, Mayuri,” a mellow voice called out from behind the group. Waving his hand, Juushiro approached the small gathering, noting how the 12th division scientists pulled away from the Substitute and Kita. He chuckled quietly. “Captain Kurotsuchi, I am afraid they are needed at the Captain Commander’s now. Surely someone of your genius can find any supposed errors in the program by taking samples of the area she manipulated to free Kurosaki-san.”

Mayuri growled softly as he turned to leave. "It is a Gods powers. No traces of their being or powers is detected. Hence the notability of being a divine creature." He turned looking at Juushiro.
"Leave the significance of research in areas like this to the professionals, if you please Captain Ukitake." Mayuri looked to the Goddess and the substitute once more. Growled then turned back storming away.
"I will do this myself, but if it traps the neanderthal again the blame will rest on the three of your shoulders." Mayuri continued to storm away.

Juushiro chuckled quietly and turned back to Kita and Kurosaki, laughing lightly as Kita threw herself into his arms. He smiled and embraced her in turn. “Is that a way of saying thank you or a message from Kenji and Soji? Or perhaps a bit of both?"
Kita giggled softly. "Both. That man creeps me out worse then the Eight Espada, Szayel." She looked to Ichigo that was stepping up to them. "How is your head, better I hope?"Ichigo grunted and scratched at his head. "It's fine. Not really ringing anymore. Thank you for the help, Ukitake." Juushiro nodded. "I don't think he would bring Sumi's wrath on him, but I didn't think I would chance it. Let's head to Shunsui's office. I want to hear about Soji and Kenji." |

"A Premature Intermission": (Continued)Kagawa stood in the opening garganta, Shibungoretsu at his side. He turned slightly, looking over his shoulder at the hordes behind him as a gentle breeze blew. The alarm sounded.
Hearing the screech of the Seventh Espada in his secondary release, crouched and grabbed a hold of the bird's talon as he flew from the garganta. Masses of hollow followed. As the containment field appeared around them, Kagawa pulled Shibungoretsu from his side. Spinning Shibungoretsu, Kagawa watched as its barbed edges carved into the field.
The containment field cracked under the crack of Kagawa's whip. As the Seventh transitioned into his primary release, Kagawa placed his right hand gently to the wall of the field. A spark of red light glowed between his hand and the field, before the wall shattered completely.
Kagawa's silver hair floated on the breeze. "This is your Master's prize." He looked over his shoulder. "Take it."

A wave of petals appeared on the horizon around the wide dark gate, a captain’s haori flaring white a far distance away. Kuchiki’s eyes narrowed. “You nor your master will get any further within our lands.” The petals converged on the gate just as the Ayakashi vanished. Kuchiki clenched his fist tightening his razor net of death around the gargantua
HIs neck pricked. “Tozansho.” An upside down pyramid barrier faded into being around him. A barred whip clenched around the form. Reiryoku pushing against his reiatsu. The noble’s eyes narrowed.
The barrier popped. Byakuya lashed his waves of petals at the direction of the weapon, leaving Abarai to pummel the harried waves at the gate.
