Karin growled, eyes on her burning house, but she couldn’t bring herself to calm down. If she voiced a regret, she didn’t know if her flame would burn as hotly, and she needed it. She couldn’t run away from that. She needed the rage to fuel her courage. A voice instructed her in her head, the panther of her zanpakuto.
“Channel the emotions, child, and let them protect you,” Homura purred. “Use them as your power as their words are their weapons. Ignore the gap between you and strike!”
“Hyouka no Naki!” she hollered, voice scraping. She rent the airways with the golden claws, sending out flame around her. Another stripe appeared on her arm and one around her neck.

Ilian smirked as he saw the flames erupt around Karin. "Still clinging to that rage, I see," he taunted, his voice filled with condescension. "But rage alone won't save you, Karin."
As Karin shouted her attack, and unleashed her flaming claws, Ilian's eyes widened slightly in surprise. The golden flames surged towards him, forcing him to react quickly. He raised his own reiatsu, creating a barrier to deflect the attack, but the sheer intensity of her flames managed to scorch his arm, leaving a searing mark.
Ilian chuckled softly, his smirk faltering for a moment. "Not bad," he admitted, his tone begrudgingly respectful. "You've got some fight in you after all."
He glanced at the new stripes on Karin's arm and neck, realizing she was growing stronger with each strike. His expression darkened, eyes narrowing with renewed determination. "But you're still not strong enough."
With a swift motion, Ilian counter-attacked, sending a blast of dark energy towards Karin. "Let's see how long you can keep this up," he sneered, his voice filled with malicious glee.

Instead of blocking, Karin shunpo’ed in a rush of fiery tendrils, appearing at another angle in the sky. She wouldn't let their words control her. Eyes narrowed and focused, she shifted forms again, taking a fighting stance. Karin raised the glimmering scimitar high above her head.
“Moekire!” The flame rushed at Illian again, spreading out in a wider arc as the tiger on the blade wavered, dancing in the heat.

Killian moved with blinding speed, positioning himself between Ilian and the incoming flames. He summoned a barrier of dark energy, but instead of merely blocking the attack, he infused the barrier with his own reiatsu, creating a vortex that absorbed the flames and redirected their energy back at Karin.
"You're going to have to try harder, our gentle little cub," Killian shouted, his voice echoing with dark power. The vortex erupted, sending a spiraling inferno towards Karin, the combined might of her own flames and Killian's energy barreling towards her with destructive force.
"Let's see if your courage can withstand your own power," Killian taunted, his eyes gleaming with malevolent delight as he watched the counter-attack close in on her.

Karin raised her hands as the fire shot back at her from Killian’s attack, hissing as the heat wrapped around her, tearing at her clothes. She could feel a couple burns forming underneath. Stripes appeared on her arms, reminding her of her limits, and she cried out. “Hyouka no Mai!”
The flames disappeared and Karin stood crouched in the golden braces again. She clenched her clawed gloves. Most of the sleeves of her shihakusho had burnt away, revealing a couple shallow burned stripes on her skin. Her legs were a little better shape.
She huffed and glared at the twins. “I told you. I am not helpless now.” She shunpo’ed to another side, raking her claws at them with a growl of intent. “Byakurai.” Her flames blended with the white bolt and shot forward.
"I'm glad I have a knack for that one..."

Ilian watched as Karin shunpo’ed to another side, her claws raking at them with fierce intent. He smirked at her determination but remained unfazed. As she blended her flames with the white bolt of Byakurai, shooting it forward, Ilian decided it was time to show her just how outmatched she was.
With a swift motion, Ilian raised his hand, his eyes glinting with sinister amusement. "Turn back time," he murmured, his voice barely a whisper, yet filled with dark power.
A wave of eerie, dark energy emanated from Ilian's hand, sonidoing behind Karin he gently tapped a finger to her shoulder. Karin's flames and Byakurai began to wither and weaken, their vibrant intensity dimming as if drained of their vitality. The powerful blast slowed, as she slowly became younger before the twin's eyes, until it was nothing more than a weak flicker of its former self.
Ilian stepped forward, his expression one of cold confidence. "You may not be helpless, Karin," he said, his voice calm and measured, "but you're still far from understanding true power."
The air around her grew heavy and oppressive as Ilian's energy wrapped around her, sapping the strength from her limbs and making her feel as if time itself was dragging her down. She was growing younger, back to a time before her powers were awaken.
"Let's see how long you can keep fighting," Ilian taunted, his eyes gleaming with dark delight. "When every moment feels like an eternity."

Karin fell down to the roof before she lost all of her power, struggling to her knees as her body regressed to her teenage self and then even younger. The dark energy of the Ayakashi walking towards her overlapped with another memory as her vision of him wavered, a haunting cry resounding in her head. She swallowed, almost feeling the wounds from that time on her back and neck — when she couldn’t protect Yuzu and Ichigo had to save them both.
Her hands clenched, shaking as that old flashback warred with her present experiences. "I don't care...."
She couldn’t back down in front of them. No matter the cost.
Back then, she thought Yuzu was going to die. This time, she was fighting a battle within herself.

Killian watched with twisted delight as Karin fell to the roof, her body regressing to her teenage self and then even younger. He saw her struggle to her knees, her vision wavering, haunted by the memories of past failures.
"Look at you," Killian sneered, taking slow, deliberate steps toward her. "So young, so fragile. You thought you could fight us? How pathetic."
His voice dripped with cruelty as he continued, "Remember this feeling, Karin? When you couldn't protect Yuzu? When Ichigo had to save you both? You're still that helpless little girl, aren't you?"
Karin's hands clenched, shaking with the effort to hold back her tears and rage. "I don't care..." she muttered, her voice trembling but defiant.
Killian chuckled darkly, enjoying her torment. "You should care. Because no matter how hard you fight, you'll always be too young, too weak to truly stand against us."
He leaned in closer, his breath hot against her ear. "Give up, Karin. Accept your fate. You're nothing more than a child playing at being a warrior."
Karin's eyes burned with a fierce determination, the haunting cry in her head spurring her on. She couldn't back down, not in front of them, not ever. She would fight, no matter the cost. "You’ll never break me," she hissed, her voice filled with a renewed resolve. "I'm not weak, and I won't give up. No matter what it takes."
Killian's grin widened, enjoying the challenge. "We'll see about that, little girl. We'll see just how far your resolve can take you."

Karin’s clenched her fists, head dropping as she tried to control her breathing at them venturing this close. It hurt. When she could barely stand up against them at her real age, their power forcing her back to that time made her head swim and throat ache. She wanted to cry. She’d promised not to so long ago. For her family. For Ichigo. For a long time, that was the only way she could support them.
She’d almost given up that time when the first hollow attacked them. But this time, she couldn’t cry or call out for Ichigo.
That failure would hurt even more than being at their knees.
With a grunt, she lifted her head. “You’ve always been stronger. That’s not the point. That’s not where my strength lies.” She clenched her hand on her zanpakuto, now a sealed asauchi. “You’re not the first to beat me down and you won’t be the last. But I keep getting up.” She threw her zanpakuto behind her, using her hands as a springboard to roll between Illian's legs. "And I'll get past you!"

As Karin rolled between Illian's legs, using her hands as a springboard, a sudden, intense heat filled the air, followed by a sharp, acrid scent. Flames erupted around her, creating a protective barrier. The twins halted, eyes widening in surprise.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," a deep, commanding voice echoed through the flames.
Emerging from the inferno was Vacanze. His eyes blazed with determination, and his presence exuded an aura of undeniable authority. He stepped forward, placing himself between Karin and the twins, the flames licking at his form but causing him no harm."Killian, Illian," Vacanze's voice was low and menacing. "You're finished here."Illian sneered, but before he could retort, Vacanze sent a swirling vortex of fire and poison toward the white-haired Ayakashi as it encircled him. "You might be able to torment Karin, but you're not dealing with her anymore. You're dealing with me." Vacanze's eyes narrowed looking pointedly at Killian. "Return Karin to her proper age, Killian. Now."Killian's grin faltered feeling the intensity of Vacanze's power as it wrapped around his brother. For a moment, Killian hesitated, but the unyielding force in Vacanze's gaze and the drawing of his blade, left no room for defiance. With a reluctant snarl, he walked up to Karin and tapped her on the shoulder, releasing a wave of energy. The golden aura enveloped her, reversing the effects of his brother's earlier attack. Karin's body slowly reverted to her proper age, and strength, the determination returning to her eyes.Karin stood tall, her zanpakuto, once more, firmly in her grasp. She took a deep breath, feeling the warmth of Vacanze's flames bolstering her courage. "Thank you, Vacanze," she declared, her voice steady and strong.Vacanze nodded, his flames flaring up around him, creating a formidable barrier. "Leave now, or face my wrath." his tone leaving no room for argument.
The twins exchanged a glance, realizing pushing any further might end in a bad way. For them. The former Espada had indeed grown in strength, even stronger than theirs. With a final, venomous glare, they retreated into the shadows, their figures dissolving into the darkness.Karin turned to Vacanze, gratitude shining in her eyes. "Where is Yuzu?" Vacanze gave her a small, reassuring smile. "I left her with Urahara." He placed a hand on her shoulder, "The same place I am taking you until all this passes."With the immediate threat gone, Karin felt a wave of relief. She had faced the twins, been brought to her knees, and yet she had risen again. And she would continue to do so, no matter what challenges lay ahead. She nodded at Vacanze. "Alright, let's go.""Can you walk or would you rather I carry you there?" Vacanze questioned."I'll manage," Karin reassured him."But can you keep up?" He watched her smile grow with a nod of her head, " Alright then, let's go," Vacanze pushed off in a flash of sonido, Karin right beside him as they headed for Urahara Shop.--END RP-- “Ingenious”
