Isshin picked up the card after reading it as it laid to the floor. Shaking his head he slipped the card in his lab coat pocket, walking over to the shattered vase, strode flowers and splattered water on the floor he started cleaning it all up.
"Aizen is free again. How the hell did this happen without Kisuke knowing about it?" Isshin thought to himself. His head shook as he walked to the back getting a mop and the broom. When he returned he saw Kita standing at the corner of her desk looking at the flowers laying on top of it.

"What happen here?" Kita asked picking up one of the roses from her desk. She lifted it to her nose taking in the sweet scent of the lovely purple rose. Her eyes then caught one of the calla lilies picking up one of them as well.
"These are beautiful, where did they come from?" A wide bright smile crossed her lips suddenly. "Did Gin bring these in?"

Isshin smiled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. He was not sure what to say. Lie to her or not lie to her. Knowing if he were to tell her that they came from Aizen it would put her in a slump and he was sure she would worry herself sick.
Now would have been a good time for Gin to have stuck around. Softly, he chuckled, "Yeah. Yeah they came from Ichimaru and I was a klutz and dropped them." He turned quickly from her so she could not look in his eyes. "I have another vase for them upstairs. I will get it as soon as I am done cleaning this up."

Yuzu came from around the corner with a platter of sugar cookies. "One to calm the nerves, Dad?" she asked. "That last patient worried you," she continued. She smiled at Kita. "Would you like one too? Since I am sure whatever happened at the shop wasn't good to tear you from the office."

Isshin smiled warmly at his daughter. "Thank you, Yuzu honey. Yes that last patient was surly upset when he left here. I do hope he calms before he gets home to his loved ones. he is only going to make them worry more if he don't." He took a cookie from the tray and took a bite of it.
"Hmm," Isshin hummed, "sweetie could you go get that vase from under the counter in the kitchen for me so I can put Kita's flowers in it?"
He watched as Yuzu walked over to Kita letting her pick out a cookie as well.

Yuzu nodded as she turned back and set the tray on the office desk. “If he does what you told him to, he will be fine, if it is difficult or not.” Her smile grew and she leaned over to kiss her dad. “You know best.” She turned to go back out the hallway that led to the living side of the house. "I'll be right back."

Kita looked to Isshin as Yuzu exited the office. "Did you have a displeased patient while I was gone?"
Isshin smiled nervously again and nodded slowly then shook his head. "Kind of..."
Kita looked at him confused, "kind of?" She then giggled softly. "All right then. What happened?"

Isshin shook his head, "I would rather not talk about it right now. Maybe at the end of the day." His smile turned warm as he looked at Kita. "Lets just get this cleaned up and finish the day." He turned looking at the remaining patients in the waiting room.
"We still have a few more to see and then we can go talk over a cup of tea."
Just then, Yuzu entered the room again with the new vase. "There's my hero. Thank you sweetie." Isshin walked up to her kissing her forehead as he took the vase from her.

“You’re welcome, Dad,” she murmured. She gave Kita a quick hug and picked up the cookies and some files. Nodding to them both, she walked down towards the main room to cheer up some victims of a car crash.

Kita walked over to Isshin and took the vase. "I will get the flowers." She then took the broom, "and the mess. Tend to the patients so we can get out of here." She turned from Isshin to finish up the job he was working on.
"You seem like a man with a lot on your mind. Lets get this day over with. I want to go home and thank the man of my dreams for the flowers he sent."

Isshin face palmed, letting his hand slide down his face, stopping at his chin as he rubbed it. "If you only knew, sweetie," he whispered with a soft sigh. He then turned, picking up the next patient's file in line to be seen. Turning to the waiting room, he called out their name with a wide smile. "Hello, how are you today?" He asked as they walked toward him.

"Dawning Days": (continued) Isshin was still picking things up and putting his home back together. Not just the material part either. The physical area was in shambles as well. Karin was recovering from the torment of the twins Ilian and Killian, both physically and mentally. Yuzu, thankfully did not remember much and was spared from Aizen’s torment for the most part. All but what Aizen and Tervaden had done to the man she gave her heart to. However, she still suffered a wounded heart and hoped Vacanze recovered from his bout with the chaos. Then there was his eldest. Ichigo. He was the worst. With the loss of Orihime he was in shambles. He tried to hide it, but that was something that no matter how hard his children tried they could never hide their emotions or problems from their father. Isshin was at least glad that Vacanze was able to get Evita out of Las Noches. If not for her, Isshin’s worry for Ichigo would have doubled because with the wounded and injured flowing in off the streets for help, Isshin had little time for his children. He just hope that this would pull them all together and make them even closer and not drive a wedge further between them like Aizen has done with so many others. Only time would tell in their process of healing, and if Ichimaru did not return soon, Kita would be another that would be added to his watch list of the recovering of the hearts. he turned hearing the door open to see an elderly couple walk into the clinic. he smiled brightly and looked to the desk where Kita normally sat so many years ago. "We will make it. We will." He thought to himself turning back to the couple with a brighter smile than normal. "Well hello~ there." Fade

"Her Own Way":Evita crossed the street quickly and opened the door to the Kurosaki clinic. The desk was empty. Figures. Kita was probably in the back filing. Shrugging, Vita kicked a folding chair and sat down to wait, letting the sun warm her arms. In her reflection, the flower post earrings shone in her ears and the red highlights in her hair clashed with her long-sleeved purple shirt.
Suddenly a breeze rushed through her hair, messing up her bangs, as clients came in. She turned the other way, and ran a hand through her pixie cut to fix her hair. She didn’t like to interact with much people, especially strangers.
“Oh my~” an old woman spoke. “That looks like it hurt. Are you alright?” Vita pulled a face and turned to prevent the woman from touching her ear. The scar on her ear was always more visible in the light. “It’s old,” she stated.
“What happened?” her husband asked. None of your business, she snarked in her head.
“Fell and yanked my earring,” she responded. “And it doesn’t hurt?” the woman asked, reaching for her again. Evita shook her head and fiddled with the bracelet on her hand to keep from striking at them, already uncomfortable enough from the conversation and the interest in her ears. No one touched or came close to them. It made her mad.
“I’m fine,” she muttered, “and I need to go.” She ducked, reached under her chair and headed towards Kita just as she appeared around the corner. “You forgot this.” Vita lifted the plastic bag up. “Again.”

"Thank you, Sweetie." Kita took the bag from her with a bright smile her other hand lifting as she brushed her bangs from her eyes. "I really like what you have done with your hair. It looks so pretty on you." Her hand lowered as she turned to place the bag to the counter.
When she looked back at Evita she was standing with her arms crossed over her stomach and a foul look on her face. "Give me second, Eve. I need to get these folks checked in." She turned back and looked out in the waiting room. "Mrs. Oshiro."
"Yes," the elder lady nodded and made her way slowly to the desk.
"You really need to get your head on straight, Kita. That's the third time you have ran off and forgot you lunch." Evita scolded her.
Kita looked her way and smiled warmly not saying anything as she checked in Mrs. Oshiro.
"Thank you Mrs. Oshiro. Dr. Kurosaki will be with you soon." Once the woman walked away and back to her seat Kita turned her attention back to Evita. "I have had a lot on my mind, Eve. Cut me a break?" Her smiled widened at the girl. "Hows your father? I have not seen him in a while. You two all settled in the new house?"

Evita shrugged. “Mostly. Ichi still has the garage to put together. There’s no room for the extra freezer right now.”
Kita giggled. “Not enough room for your ice cream?” she teased.
Vita pursed her lips. “Shut up,” she muttered. “I don’t get fat and it’s tasty. Besides,” she reached up and fiddled with an earring, “Mom would agree.” Her eyes darkened. “She’d like the house, too. We’re right by the river.”
She huffed out a breath, pushing her bangs back, and held out her hand.
Kita rolled her eyes. “Oh come on, Eve. Be nice once?”
“Nope.” Evita smirked, eyes glittering. “I brought your lunch. That means I get money for an ice cream cone on the way back. And maybe if I keep doing this, you'll pay attention more."
