Suzume looked to Karin as she chewed noisily instead of making a reply but soon returned her eyes back to the younger of her masters. The most dangerous. “I understand,” she murmured. She looked down and fiddled with her food.
Checking for her digits.
She didn’t want to go through that kind of punishment, even if Karin’s spirit was bringing back her own. Not to that extent. To be chained up for however long and only able to wait for them to take her again. Without reprieve. For the beating, whipping, or brutal sexual assault.
She thought she could acclimate herself to it after the first time, but she’d been mistaken. Even the healing, the turning back of time on her body, was agony. She had never gone that far in her acts of resistance since.
The door closing and locking behind her made her jump.

Karin set a hand on her shoulder. “You okay?” she asked gently. Her eyes were dark with worry, flickering around as she inspected her small friend as she was a patient. Categorizing the signs of abuse, the slight trembling, pallor, and visible withdrawal, and trying to set a level on her.
Suzume nodded with a slight smile. The brightness in her eyes returned. “Yes, just memories.” She lowered her head. “You don’t want to defy them when the threat is made in that tone. It’s… not pretty.”
Karin frowned and looked to the sandwich in her hands. She continued to eat it. But made herself ask. “How badly did you fight them at first?”

Suzume also returned to eating. “I still do. Sometimes,” she responded in a calm, matter-of-fact tone. “And it’s better if Ilian is angrier than Killian. Or if he wants to hurt you. It’s quicker. Killian’s anger takes a while to abate. And usually returns at least one more time before it’s forgotten.” She took another bite and giggled softly. “Rangiku might not like it. Momo would be crying. And Toshi—” She paused. “Captain Hitsugaya would be torn between exasperation, worry, and pride.” She set her plate to the side. “But it keeps them alive in my heart. And keeps …. hope…”
“I’m sure Toshiro is out there waiting for his chance to get in here and free us,” Karin interrupted. She looked outside the window. “He’s too stubborn to give up.”
Suzume nodded, half to herself. “I want to see Ukitake. They promised I would if I didn’t fight the move. But sometimes Ilian twists them.”
“Sounds like him,” Karin muttered. She hesitated and then hugged Suzume close. “You’re not alone. I won’t let it get too bad.”
Suzume snuggled into the warmth offered and didn’t reply.
She suddenly stood up. “I want a book.”
She vanished into an adjourning room.

Karin blinked in confusion and rose to follow her. Why did she think—
She halted as she entered the small bedroom with a long wall of bookshelves. “You’ve got to be kidding me. They let you bring all that?!” she exclaimed, emotions torn at this obvious kinder gesture.

Suzume glanced over her shoulder. “Killian thought it was better to bring them than to let them fall into the hands of one of the lesser Arrancar squatters when we left.” She turned and tilted her head, perusing the titles. “They wouldn’t dare take over the mansion completely, but they would try to undermine their ownership with vandalism.” She pulled down a book of poetry and opened a random page. “Ilian thought it was still the best way to shut me up when he wasn’t in the mood for fucking or beating. And threatened the Arrancar into helping the packing.”
Her amusement grew. “He secretly grabbed all the cushions and couches he could find. I think he has a stash of more than the two that are in the main room and the hoard in the bedroom."

Karin’s bafflement settled at that ‘particular’ word as she surveyed the room around them. She raised her eyebrows as she turned around. She didn’t expect a large bed. Or the accessories. It was different from what she had experienced. Too different.
She folded her arms and spun around. “That’s not going to work,” she glared at the locked doorway.

As Karin looked to the door the two Ayakashi walked back in the room, Ilian's arms holding a few items. Killian holding a few things himself. "Come here, you two." Killian called to them seeing Suzume poke her head around Karin which towered in front of her.
Killian dropped the uniforms to the couch as the two women walked out and stood in front of them. "You're part of Las Noches now. You will start to dress as such."

Karin walked over, her arms still crossed over her chest. “And what does that mean?” she grouched, still irritated by the room’s illusion. Readying herself for the actual trouble from them both.
Suzume walked over as well. “I like my clothes, and they haven’t been a problem before.”
Karin decided to push it for them both. “Keeping our hides never meant becoming a part of Las Noches.”

Killian looked to Suzume looking her over from head to toe. Her Soul reaper uniform ripped and tattered from her treatment from him and his brother. "Do you want to run around in rags and in time nothing at all?"
Ilian chuckled, "I like the idea of nothing at all."
Killian smirked, "It does sound pleasing and the view will most definitely improve in here, but they can't be nude all the time."

Suzume blushed deeply and glared at Ilian. “I am not being put on display with my legs, neck, breasts….” Her voice rose, making both of the brothers snicker at her. “I’m not!” she snapped.
Ilian grinned. “That sounds perfect. Don’t you think, brother?”
Suzume’s comfort level disappeared and she charged him, kicking at his legs and punching at his chest, twice before someone pulled her off. “I am not!” she screamed. “I’m not!”

Killian grabbed Suzume pulling her back before his brothers laughter turned to anger and he lashed out at her. He held her against him, his arm wrapped around her waist. Getting close to her ear he whispered something and she calmed. A low growl escaping her as she glared at Ilian.
"Your new clothes are on the couch." Killian told her, releasing her he pushed her forward slightly. "Go get dressed. I am sure you will be pleased with what I found for you."Ilian looked to Karin. "I found a few for you as well. You might as well do the same."Killian turned and walked over to the other couch taking a seat as he watched the Kurosaki woman growl and jerk up the uniforms off the couch. She then turned and followed Suzume to their room. Karin closed the door rather loudly behind them as both brothers looked to the room. Moved

"Damaged Goods":Killian walked in the room the door slamming behind him as he looked around an empty room. "Ilian!" he called out of his twin as he exited his room rubbing his bare chest."What the hell happened to you?" Ilian questioned. Killian grinned and walked toward him. "I got a little too fresh with Master Tervaden's wench. He did not care for it." Ilian chuckled, "Care for it? I would say you pissed him off since he took your arm." Killian sat to the couch. "Either way. Speed this up. I am tried of waiting for it to regenerate." He looked around the room as Ilian came toward him. "Where are the women?"

At that moment, Suzume walked out with a bowl of onigiri. She paused at the sight of Killian being one-armed, but before she could fully process the fact that someone had managed to leave a mark on him, Karin stormed out of their room, fixing the zipper on her skimpy top.
“Getting something to eat since you let them out,” she snapped, walking over to Suzume and grabbing a rice bun. She took a bite and turned to face her ‘owners’, smirking at the sight of Killian being armless.
“Looks like we made a dent in your army. That’s good~” She folded her arms. "Care to share the details or is that too embarrassing?"

Killian did not look her way as he replied. "Don't gloat. It was not one of yours that did this to me."
Ilian smirked, "He put his hands in the wrong place at the wrong time."
"Like you have room to talk. If I remember you got put in your place over her by Ichimaru."
Ilian growled, "That cheating Bastard doesn't count."
Killian chuckled, "You're just mad because his blade is as sharp as his tongue. He got the best of you in every way."

Karin smirk didn’t change. “Looks like it’s a lesson you both still haven’t learned. And as far as I am concerned, anyone putting you in your place is a plus.”
“Karin-” Suzume hissed.
“And don’t change the subject,” Karin continued, ignoring the muted warning. “What happened out there?” She had sensed her brother around the tower and then he was gone. And that wasn’t all. She finished the bun and took a step towards the twins. “We deserve to know, so spill.”
