"Why is not important." answered Methuselah. "In a few short hours, we move on the realms. Ishida will save the few he has requested. All others will die." He rested a hand to her head, running his fingers through her raven hair.
"I need you to lead this crusade for me, Sadow. Outside of myself, you are the strongest of those who dwell in my home. From what information we have gathered, Gin Ichimaru was among those who was taken to Las Noches. He may have returned to his former Master's side. You should be of equal strength."
"What about Takai and Naito?"
Methuselah shook his head. "This is not important. Focus only on the task given to you, Sadow. And, I will give you what you seek."

Sadow lifted her head, her eyes meeting his. "Perhaps, it would be in your best interest then, to separate your children for the night." She lifted slightly, placing a gentle kiss on his chin. "I will turn in for now."
A smiled formed on Sadow's lips. "You know where I rest my head." Rising from her seat on the floor, Sadow turned toward the door. She pulled the heavy doors open and left the room, leaving Methuselah alone.

Methuselah sat back in his chair, his eyes falling to the overturned table. A hand tightened around the wooden arm of his chair. He growled at the thought of his son and daughter sharing a bed. The thought made his stomach churn.
Rising from his seat in silence, Methuselah and walked toward the doors. He lingered at the doors, rest his head against them.
"Takai..."Moved

"In Matters of the Heart": (continued) As Takai and another Quincy womman entered the Manor, Sadow stepped from the Council Room. Closing the door behind her, Sadow greeted Takai with a nod.
"Your father is waiting for more...important matters. Our guest of honor is soon to arrive." Sadow looked to the other woman. "Raelin Fang." A smirk formed on her lips. "Ishida is currently unavailable. And, since you were not invited to our home, you will have to be restrained." Pulling a crest on a chain from her pocket, Sadow held it up for the woman to see.
"This is a crest designed to suppress your Quincy power. As for your angelic powers, I see no reason why you would want to use those. Especially with he understanding that you will die, if you do."
Sadow waved, signalling for two servants. "Confine her...somewhere. Perhaps, Naito's room. A cell if she raises a fuss. Sadow walked over to the woman, and placed the crest around her neck. "Better yet. Take her back outside until Imai has formally invited her in."
The servant nodded, escorting the woman back outside.

Raelin felt a spark of rebellion well inside her . She stepped back as the servants moved forward to escort her outside once again. “Your actions towards me are not very hospitable. I came here asking after someone you call a guest, not armed, and yet you would either exile or confine me. You also say my fiancé is unavailable.” She paused. “Something is wrong here, and if you think you can somehow stand against the storm that’s begun alone, you’re wrong."
She lowered her head, her rebellion fading. “Take the crest off me and I will leave. I now understand why Ishida-san never brought me here and I hope whoever you've hurt recovers.”

"Marketable": (continued) A Godly gate opened as Kita stepped out. Three Quincy in her view, one of them the Quincy Raelin. She turned seeing Methuselah sitting behind a large oak desk. She let the gate close as all eyes quickly drawn to her. She paid no mind to them as she turned, her attention now on the man behind the desk. With her hands folded in front of her, she bow her head to him out of being proper.
"I beg your pardon, Methuselah. I did not expect for you to be busy, but I come with no ill will toward you or your own." She lifted her head looking into the mans eyes. "We need to speak."

Methuselah sat back in his chair, extending a hand to the empty seat in front of his desk. "Please, Miss Miyamoto. Or, would you prefer, Ichimaru?" Methuselah smiled warmly at the young woman taking the seat before him. He snapped his fingers, summoning two servants, one escorting a still frightened Evita. The other brought in two cups of tea.
"Ever the gracious host, aren't you, Imai?" smirked Sadow, crossing her arms over her chest. "Don't tell me you are giving the girl back already?"
"And, before I've finished having my fun with her, too." added Naito, stepping into the room.
Methuselah's eyes narrowed at the two standing in the doorway. "The girl has served her purpose. She is free to go, when they are ready to take her."

Kita looked to the two in the doorway with narrowed eyes. She did not like the attitude of the one on the right and the male on the left she surely did not care for. She turned back to Methuselah.
"What do you mean she served her purpose?" Her eyes narrowed further at the man behind the desk. "Don't tell me you were foolish enough to wage war with Lord Aizen because you were hoping he would send me to retrieve her?"

Methuselah shook his head, lowering his gaze as Evita hesitated before taking a seat next to Miyamoto. "I do not wage a war with Sousuke Aizen. But, with all Shinigami. They've taken something from me. And, my people." His gaze lifted, focusing briefly on his children and Sadow.
"We have much to fight for. But, as I've said to you once before. To accomplish the task before us, we need you. And, to get to you, I needed a reason." Methuselah's gaze turned to Evita. "Unfortunately, she had been...mishandled."

Kita looked to Evita, her head lowered, her form shaking where she sat. Her hands clenched into tight balls in her lap. When Kita saw the marks on her wrist. She reached over touching Evita's hands as she quickly jerked back from her, her head coming up quickly as Kita looked at her. Tears filled Evita's eyes as she jumped, nearly falling out of her chair, before clenching her hands around the arms of the chair.
Kita lifted from her chair touching the child's shoulder. She let her healing powers flow through her finding all her injuries to heal. In a flash Kita was in front of Naito as she grabbed him slamming him against the door next to him. Her eyes were narrowed.
"If I have known what you meant by that comment before now. I would have ripped your head off moments before." She lifted Naito from the door and shoved him back into it again, her rage now turned on Methuselah. She stormed toward him stopping in front of the desk her hands palm down planted firmly on the top of the desk.
"You messed up. You might have had a chance for your words to be listened to, but now. Now, because you allowed something like this to happen," Kita pointed back at Evita, her eyes on the man in front of her. "You have lost your chance of a sympathetic ear from me." Kita's tone was beyond annoyed with the man in front of her as she shoved the large desk back into the man sitting behind it as she turned and took Evita into her arms, talking to her softly reassuring her she was safe and she would not let no more harm come to her. When Evita realized it was Kita that had a hold on her she grabbed her wrapping her arms around her neck and bawled on her shoulder. Kita stroked her head and hair as she held her close healing her as she held her.

Raelin, whose face had turned pasty white at the girl's entrance, felt the anguish being reflected onto her change to rage. "How could you!" she screamed. "That- that kind of betrayal belongs at the feet of everyone's enemy!" Her wings broke free from her restraint and erected a barrier over herself. She looked to Kita. "Kita, Ishida-san wouldn't condone this. It goes against his atonement."
She turned to the Quincies who stood before her. "I would blame blood, but I cannot. There are others of-"
Sadow grinned, laughing loudly and cutting the Quincy off. "Flare your wings, sweetie. It won't help. And, it won't muffle your screams when you die."
Raelin's eyes narrowed at the threat and then turned to the leader. There had to be a reason Uryu had approached them. "Why?" she asked.

Methuselah rose quickly, slamming a fist into his desk as his daughter drew her blade. In an instant, a wave of arcing light tore through the barrier, leaving the angel defenseless. Granted the opening he desire, Naito appeared before the woman and pressed his forearm to her throat.
"Enough!" shouted Methuselah. "Every war has its casualties. And, they occur on both sides. Some, more significant than others. Knowing this, all of you should know that sympathy and remorse have no place in a war." His hazel eyes focused on Miyamoto. "That is how you lose."
Looking to the guarded angel, Methuselah narrowed his eyes. "I do not take kindly to threats, Miss Fang. Or, assumptions. Your fiance came to me because I am the only one who can help him. He did not bring you, because he didn't want to. It's foolish of you to believe that what small dose of angelic power you have, would be enough to lend you the strength to take him from a place he wants to be. Even this broken child has the strength to tear you down. Now...Settle, before I give my son the order to kill you."
Methuselah sat down in his seat, his eyes still narrowed as he waited for the woman to comply.

Kita looked to the man still behind the desk, her arms still wrapped around Evita holding her close to her as she healed her wounds. She just wished she could take away her mental anguish as well. It was so deep it was starting to seep into her, Kita feeling her pain as the child held tightly to her. She knew Methuselah was right. It had been pounded into her head for seven years by the Fourth that war was no place for empathy. However, this was hitting too close to home. Evita was one of her own. At least in heart. Evita was a very big part of her life.
Now, for the first time in seven years Kita felt the weight of her decision falling to her shoulders. This was no longer a game, it had become a reality. The time of truth called strongly to her. Which path would her feet land. She turned to Methuselah after gazing at the frightened child in her arms.
"You have crossed a line; a line that will lead to the inhalation of your kind once and for all and I will be part of making that come to a reality." She narrowed her eyes with hearing the other male Quincy scoff.
"Your powers are worthless against us, Bitch. A God protects us now."
Kita grinned with a knowing chuckle as she turned looking at the man still containing Raelin. "Yes, yes you are." She looked back to Methuselah. "Have fun with that one. Alister, the God of Fire is a finicky, self satisfying bastard. I have had to deal with him for decades. He is involved for one reason and one reason alone. His curiosity and entertainment. Once he grows bored of you he will be gone. With you none the wiser." Kita grinned slyly. "Or make deals with you with a ridiculously high cost on your part. Either way. In the end, when you play with fire, you will get burned."
She looked back to other male Quincy. "Your time in being protected is limited. Its all a matter of time." Kita smirked. "And I have all the time in the world."

Raelin shuddered and withdrew her wings again. Eyes on the rapist before her, she responded to the leader's words. "You're wrong, sir, wars without empathy or remorse only leads to hatred. That is nothing you can build a future on. It only leads to more fighting... and more broken promises...." She closed her eyes. "And that's not what Ishida-san wants." She clasped the antique ring on her finger. "It's the opposite."

"You know him so well, do you?" asked Methuselah, looking to the woman still pinned under his son's hold. "Yet you did not know for almost six years that he was here. You speak of hatred, broken promises and the future neither of those things can grant. But, here we are in a time that all of those things created. Now, if there is a present, then there most certainly is a future."
Methuselah rose from his chair, waving his hand - A silent command for his son to release the woman. "Shinigami, hollow, Quincy...all birthed from humanity. It is not my goal to erdicate one to save another." Methuselah shook his head. "No. History has proven that does not work. But, to save them all, we must purge the realms of those not strong enough to survive."
