Gin’s eyes narrowed beneath his silver bangs, flinging the blade away from his body before it could cut and swinging the scabbard towards his opponent’s chest in the same motion. He slashed the point upwards, cutting with brute force up into his chest. “Careful what you ask for,” Gin murmured, dancing back a step before twisting his hand and locking Benihime with her sheath. “It can get dangerous,” he continued in the same toneless voice. He chuckled quietly and grinned. “And if it’s really that simple, I still want to drown a certain loud-mouthed ugly shopkeeper.”
Before Kisuke could reply, Gin rammed his elbow into his nose and flung him back, swinging his weapon down on his back. When the crimson shield formed, he chuckled and unleashed a point-blank wall of lightning. He leapt backwards, eyes on his ‘blade.’
Kisuke’s words echoed deep into his mind, the declaration confirming his bloodlust, sly nature, and taunting edge. He turned the weapon in his grip to follow the trail of blood, recalling his words to Aizen long, long ago.
And the masks that Shinsou wore.
When Kisuke charged him, Gin parried the blade from his chest and slapped his sheath down on his hat. “Maybe I’ll mangle this first~”he purred.
He twisted to the side as Benihime cut at his arm and reached to grab the hilt. Kisuke seized his arm. The Snake smirked and sheathed the shopkeeper’s weapon again.
“Why do you think you have all the answers, Hat-n-Clogs?”

Kisuke grinned, "I don't have all the answers, but I got more answers than you." He thrust his head forward to headbutt Gin as Gin dodged the attempt and shoved him back.
Kisuke slid to a stop a few feet away from the Snake. "I wonder who she would cry more over losing?" Kisuke flicked Benihime upward as her sheath slid off and went air born above them. "You...," He smirked from under his hat, "or me." He lunged forward at Gin.
Gin flipped upwards, caught the scabbard, and once again, stopped his blade by sheathing the zanpakuto. He grinned. "Good question, but not really one that applies now." As Kisuke tried to punch him, Gin swiped his hat and flipped backwards, taking the sheath again. "Now where were we?" he quipped.
"I believe I was kicking your ass, and you were thinking of drowning me." Kisuke grinned as Benihime and the sheath locked again putting the men face to face once more.

Gin smirked. “That’s right. That is where we were at.” He pushed back at Kisuke’s blade before pulling back, tilting his head. “And someone was thinking I was defenseless without my zanpakuto, too. Wasn’t he?” Gin paused, waiting for Kisuke to respond. When he didn’t, he spun the sheath in a wide arc, unleashing the Hado spell of Tenran.
Kisuke's eyes widened, "Shit." He mumbled under his breath pushing off in a flash of shunpo. He started to laugh as he looked back to Gin. The Snake turning and unleashing the whirlwind toward him. Kisuke vanished with only his words lingering behind. "I forgot you have been working on your Kido. I won't let that slip my mind again."
Gin snickered. "Getting old, shopkeeper?" he called out, waiting for the man to emerge from the shadows. "You're the one who was there when I started to improve on that set of skills." He twirled the scabbard, chuckling as it sparked him again. "Tell your your Hime to stop biting. You're the one who let this part of her go. It's quite easy to let slip-" He halted as Kisuke appeared out of the corner of his eye. Crossing the 'blade' over his back, he whirled and kicked Kisuke, who fell back as he blocked it.
"Boo~" Gin whispered, setting off another Shakaho blast. He laughed beneath his breath as the force pushed both of them backwards.

Kisuke leap up and took the time to even dust himself off as he laughed. "Now why would I call her back. She is my girl. Not yours. You may have taken my beloved daughters heart, but I will never let you take Hime from me."
Just then, and while still dusting himself, Kisuke disappeared appearing over the top of Gin, but it was not his sword he had in his hand. It was a thick heavy branch. Gin dropped Benihime's sheath and grabbed the branch with both hands as it came crashing down on top of him. Sending a Kido blast through the branch it exploded in both the men's hands. Kisuke landed to the ground in a crouch as he swept Gin's feet. Gin leap going into a back flip as he landed Kisuke swung a right hook, Gin catching it in his hand. Kisuke grinned at him and hooked his leg with one of Gin's as he shoved him backward. Gin hung tight to Kisuke's fist bring his feet up into Kisuke's stomach and flipped him over the top of him.
Kisuke landed with a thud on his back as he looked up into the afternoon sky. "You little bitch." Kisuke grunted then started to laugh.

Gin chuckled from his own position on the ground. “You should have known what would happen if you got too close to cornering a snake. It bites back.” He looked over to Kisuke. “And most snakes have a poison. Are you sure you have the antidote with that snide comment about me being a bitch and little?"
Kisuke grinned and whispered one simple word. "Sekienton..." At that a blast activated red smoke around Kisuke, and as a soft breeze blew past, the smoke cleared and Kisuke was gone. "I think I have you covered." Kisuke quipped, his hand on his hat as he hung upside down behind Gin.
"Really, because you're higher up?" Gin smirked. "Sorry, but not with something like Daichi Tenyo." Gin shunpo'ed out of the way as the whirlwind of dirt and air tossed Kisuke upwards. "Isn't it more difficult to defend yourself against that attack when your gravity is already tipped?"

Kisuke shot up and out of the way as he shook his head. "Nah. My brain is already scrambled from dealing with you and that damn brother of mine over the centuries." Kisuke pointed at Gin. "Sai," Gin's arms were quickly jerked behind him and bound as Kisuke turned his body his leg coming around to kick Gin in the head.
Gin quickly broke free grabbing Kisuke's leg and flipped him over sending his levitating body into a roll. Kisuke let his body fall and tumble to the ground as he got quickly up finding Gin over the top of him bring his heel downward toward his chest. Kisuke grabbed his foot and shoved him backward springing to his feet. "You're still a little bitch." Kisuke told him adjusting his hat with a wide grin across his lips.

Gin scoffed. “I can assure you that I am quite male and that I am bigger than Aizen and Vale according to your dear, dear daughter.” He tilted his head. “Now that you mention it, I think she’s seen your size too and was too embarrassed-“
“Stop, stop,” Kisuke interrupted, waving his hand. “Too much information. I really don’t need to know-”
Gin vanished and swiped his hat, reappearing over the lake. “Really, Hat-n-Clogs,” he continued, twirling the hat, “your wife is the cat queen. One would think she would have taken away any bashfulness. But as it is," he paused, "time for you to go fishing." He let the hat fall.

In a flash of shunpo and before his precious hat could hit the water Kisuke snagged it up and placed it back on his head, but not before he turned and kicked Gin square in the ass. Gin hit the water face first sinking slowly under the surface.
"That's for sharing yours and my daughters sex life with me. You should know, no father likes to hear or even think of their daughter having sex. Don't matter their age or not." As he sank deeper Kisuke laughed. "And if she was embarrassed at what she saw it was probable because it was the biggest thing she ever saw."

Gin’s eyes lit up with devious intent as he sank into the water. “Horin,” he hissed. A golden rope wrapped around Kisuke’s ankle and a rock in the lake, pulling shopkeeper down even as the fox rose up. Waving, Gin once again swapped the hat.
Back on land, Gin hid the poor hat in a nearby nest and chuckling to himself, leaned against a boulder to dry out. It had been a long time since he had felt at ease enough to engage in something as amusing as this current scuffle. In fact, he probably hadn’t done such a thing as this except with Kita behind doors.
He closed his eyes.
He had been a fool.
He had had so much to lose. In order to protect them, he had sacrificed himself. To the point he had forgotten the truth behind all the masks he had learned to use over the centuries. The man Kita had fallen for.

A huge wave of water came forth as Kisuke rose from the depths of the lake. The wave crashing just inches from Gin's feet. As it all settled Kisuke walked toward the snake slowly. He had only one question.
"Where is my hat?" Kisuke continued toward him. "If you killed my hat, I am going to have to hurt you. You know this, right?" Kisuke lifted his hand pointing a finger at Gin. "Byakurai," A pale concentrated lightning bolt shot from his fingertip as the boulder Gin leaned on exploded. Gin had disappeared from his spot against the rock. "I want my hat, Ichimaru."Gin chuckled as he leaned against the shopkeeper. "You mean this hat?" he purred, setting the item - with all the twigs and abandoned feathers - back on Kisuke's head. He leaped onto another boulder. "Careful there, Hat-n-Cane. Hats get dirty when they're abandoned." "Hyapporankan..." Kisuke chuckled softly. Just then, a rod of energy formed and was thrown towards the Snake before it disintegrates into numerous short rods pinned him to a large tree behind him. Gin was rendered immobile as Kisuke removed his hat and dumped the twigs and other misalliances items out of it.
"Yes, yes it does. As does little bitches that like to take hats that don't belong to them." He turned and started a path toward the hideout as he dusted his hat off before placing it back on his head. Kisuke's hands slid into his pockets as he whistled a tune while walking away. He could hear Gin struggling against his bindings as he cussed him and demanded he release him. Kisuke chuckled waving a carefree hand over his shoulder. The whistling stop but only for a second.
"Maybe tomorrow." Kisuke responded in a nonchalant tone picking back up where he left off whistling his tune still walking his path to the hideout.

"Friend or Foe; It's Still the Same Goal":Kisuke looked at a piece of paper that was handed to him by one of the men on patrol of the perimeter of the hideout. It was his report from the night before. It seemed two of the Ayakashi were moving around the area. Apparently looking for them. Kisuke sighed as he read the report his hat being adjusted down over his eyes.
"This is the closest they have gotten in a long time." He readjusted his hat and looked to the guard. "Were you noticed?"The guards head shook, "No sir. I stayed well hidden in the shadows with my reiatsu concealed." "Good, Kisuke replied looking back to the report. "You're on duty again tonight, correct?" "Yes sir. Captain Ashimitsu's Lieutenant, Kairo Namori of division Eight will be on guard duty with us." Kisuke titled his head. "Will he now, hm?" He rubbed his scruffy chin going into thinking mode. He looked back up at the guard. "You're dismissed."
The guard nodded sharply with a low bow, turned and left the room. As he vanished a new form took his place. Kisuke blinked a few times as he pulled his hat back to get a better look. "Well now. What do I owe this visit to?"

"I have come to inform you that Kita and the boys are no longer in Las Noches." Sumi came straight to the point.
Kisuke shot up from his chair knocking it back to the floor his eyes narrowed and fill with rage. "Where are they and what is that Bastard brother of mine doing to them!?"
Sumi shook her head. "Calm yourself and sit down Urahara. They are fine. I moved them to the Godly realm for safe keeping." She moved slowly toward him stopping in front of his desk. "Though we do and will have issues with this action I have taken."

Kisuke nodded his hat coming from his head and resting to his desk now. His head still nodded slowly. "No wonder the Ayakashi were in the area. They are looking for Kita and the kids." Kisuke looked up at Sumi. Despite the news she had told him a smile crept across his lips. "So I have a new Grandson."The Goddess nodded slowly a displeased look on her face."I guess we should ready ourselves for a fight." He paused and walked toward the door of his office. Opening the door he called out to a few of the guards, as he waited for them to approach him he looked back to Sumi. "What of Tervaden and his God?" "Tervaden knows where they are. I am sure with his return back to Las Noches the God of Fire knows where they are as well.""And Aizen?"Sumi sighed, "I doubt Tervaden will tell him where they are, but with that man you never know."Kisuke turned opening the door further as the guards walked in the room. He then looked back out in the adjoining room. "Juushiro. You might want to join us for this talk."Meanwhile: "Reaching Out":

Post by Captain Juushiro Ukitake on Mar 23, 2016 14:02:10 GMT -6
Juushiro walked in slowly, weighed down with his charges, his new focus. Sajin and Ryo's children. Shunsui's eyes were wide as his hand tightened on Juushiro's sleeve and Sakuma was trailing behind, one paw sullenly twisted in the captain's haori and ears against his skull as he glared at Kisuke in suspicion. Both didn't like it when someone used that tone. It meant that their Ji-chan was going to be leaving them.
Juushiro looked to his old friend with his usual smile. "Are you sure you need me, Kisuke? The boys wanted me to tell them a story about-" He paused, seeing Sumi’s frowning form. He chuckled quietly. “I will be back after I settle them with Yuzu and a game.” The kindly captain ducked out, murmuring reassurances to the boys.
And a promise to tell the story later.

Gin appeared in the doorway shortly after Ukitake had moved on and leaned on the doorway, making the guards nervous. “Are you going to invite me, old man? Or be cruel?” he asked, grin bared in a warning.
Kisuke adjusted his hat. “As if you need an invitation,” he scoffed. “Even if I told you to keep away, you’d find a way to listen in.” He cleared a chair of research materials Yoruichi had smuggled in. “Make yourself useful and help me clear a space for Juushiro.”
Gin chuckled and did as he was asked. It was better than barging the goddess with questions or nursing a feeling of unease at her stern appearance. Somewhere in his mind, he had hoped that the first visit from the Goddess would be her smuggling Kita and the new son out.
Yes, he was Vale's. But any son that was born from the darkness needed protection. And the surly Tervaden might have earned some of his. Might, Gin emphasized to himself.
