"Hamartia II": (Continued) Koga continued his assault on the city, this time moving to Yamashita Village. The birds snatched people, dropping them from high above the ground. While the other birds exploded causing massive devastation. As koga screeched loudly as he flew through the city, his massive eyes caught sight of the pink haired Quincy. Koga twisted in the air quickly, avoiding a long white arrow made of light. Again, he twisted in the air, avoiding two more. Rin pulled back on her arrow again, releasing a barrage of arrows. Her eyes narrowed as every arrow missed it's mark. "What is it?" she asked her father, as he stepped next to her pulling on his own bow.Koga's eye focused on the elder Quincy. He screeched loudly as a flock of bird broke away from him and began to explode near where the Quincy were standing. his eyes narrowed as a shimming silver light glimmered through the flames.

As the smoke cleared, the elder Kazuya looked up, eyes narrowed at the hollow. He lifted his staff in the air, taking a hold of the golden ornament on its top. He gave a gentle tug on the ornament. The cane disappeared, taking the form of a katana. Anzai unsheathed his blade.
"Imai." he spoke firmly as he continued to focus on the hollow. "Do you see it?"
Methuselah nodded, pulling back on his bow. His bow shifted, taking the form of a massive black bow. "Rin."
Rin raised her own bow, awaiting the orders of the Quincy. "I see it. On your count, father."
Dark smoke began to pour from the hilt of Anzai's blade, as the blade became fire. Anzai growled deeply, swinging his blade toward the sky. A massive wave of flames ripped through the sky toward the hollows. At the same time, both his son and daughter released their bows. Rin's arrows whistled through the sky. While, Imai's sounded with thunder as the ripped through the air and fire.

Lighting struck, brightening the sky. The massive black bird fell from the sky, a severed wing falling beside him. Methuselah grunted pulling back on his bow as it shifted in form again, this time taking the form of a white and gold bow. He pulled back again, maxing the tension of the bow. He released his bow, watching as a trail of gold followed behind the speeding arrow. The arrow struck the bird.
The gold trails following behind the arrow wrapped around the bird, completely encasing it in the gold bindings. The massive gold shell fell to the ground, shaking the Earth violently. The severed wing fell beside it.
Methuselah fell to a knee as the ground shook. When the ground calmed, Methuselah looked up to find his father looking to the sky. "Cowards die many times before their death..." he whispered.
"It's done."

"Future Treachery": A large black eye peered through the crack in the seal around the massive bird that was Koga. He shifted his wings, narrowing his eyes as focused his energy. Opening his beak as wide as he could, the top of his head pressed against the side of the cocoon, Koga charged a grande rey cero. He fired the cero, cracking the bottom of the seal. A bright light shined through the bottom of the sea.
Again, Koga charged and fired a grande rey cero, shattering the bottom of the seal. He shifted in form, reverting to his normal form. Stumbling from the seal, Koga groaned as he stepped out of the disintegrating golden cocoon. He brought his index fingers and thumbs together in the center of his chest. His hands fell to his sides as he stumbled forward.
Koga's eyes narrowed at the sight of the Quincy, Methuselah. The Quincy raise his bow. Quickly, Koga transition to his tertiary form and took flight. An arrow flew pass Koga twisted in the air. Dodging every arrow that flew passed, Koga screeched loudly as he flew into an opening garganta.Moved

"Peace and Quiet":Methuselah sat on the bench, enjoying the calm of the day. He leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees. Sighing, Methuselah shook his head. Humming deeply, he turned to look at the one sitting by his side. "Sadow." he said, turning his body to face her completely. "Speak with me." His voice was calm as he placed his hand to her leg. Sadow smiled as a small child ran by her. "What's on your mind, Imai?" she asked, placing a hand on his. "You look as though the weight of the world has been dumped on your shoulders." Raising a hand, Sadow caressed his cheek. "Talk to me."Methuselah sighed. "If only. I would prefer the weight of the worlds, if it meant I would not suffer as I have been.""You suffer only because you choose not to speak about it." said Sadow. "You don't speak with me. Or, Takai. You are man who prefers a silent world, even if that means refusing to let your heart and mind speak. So, tell me...What's wrong?""Several things." started Methuselah. "These nightmares. They're of Naito."

"You have nightmares of a nightmare." chuckled Sadow. "Naito's dead, Imai. He's done terrible things. And, the world is a bit better after his death. Let him go." Sadow continued to caress Imai's cheek. "Look at Takai. She never more happy. You now have a relationship with our child without fear of him harming her."
"Yes. But," started Methuselah. "My nightmares...He's changed. He's far more dangerous and powerful than anything he was before he passed. The fire in his eyes...Like a demon..."
Sadow shook her head. "Yes. You birthed a demon and named him Naito. But, honey, he is gone. From this world and the next. Let go of your thoughts of him." Sadow let her hand fall to her lap. "Is there more?"

Methuselah looked away from Sadow for a few moments. He ran his fingers through the end of his beard as he hummed. "I was speaking with my father the other day."
"When he requested your presence at the manor?" questioned Sadow.
Methuselah nodded. "We met with my brothers. He looked tired..." He grew quiet as he looked away from Sadow again. "He spoke of the realms. Accused us of mediocrity and becoming stagnant, like the Soul Society."
"Be wary, my sons. These realms are changing. The illusion of balance is fading. And, I fear the worse. We've all become comfortable with the calm that has washed over these realms. But, I assure you, a storm is coming. You do not know peace until you've experienced war."
"War?" Sadow shook her head. "Did he miss the last damning war?!"
"He claims that we've confused peace with quiet. We are not experiencing peace, he says. This is merely the calm before the storm. A storm of the ages."
"A storm of the ages?" Sadow chuckled as she crossed her arms over her chest.
Methuselah shook his head. "A storm to end this age..."

"Your father could be correct." said Uryu, stepping up behind the bench that Methuselah and Sadow sat. He pushed his glasses along his nose. "I do not trust the peace this time has offered. Something foul is in the air. Consider what's happened recently. Raelin was taken. And, there are rumors that Sousuke Aizen has been seen in the Soul Society. He is moving. And, whenever the man moves, there is surely terror to follow."
"How do you know this, Ishida?" questioned Methuselah.
"That is unimportant." responded Uryu, crossing his arms over his chest. "What I know is that we need to begin preparing against what may be coming. Or, we will all surely perish. I recommend you find away to align yourself with the Bounts that have made themselves known."

"A ridiculous notion, Ishida." said Sadow. She rose from the bench, leaning forward and placing a gentle kiss on Imai's forehead. "An alliance with such creature would be beneath any of us. In fact, a faction of the Quincy your father has assembled is responsible for eradicating the Bounts."
"What?!" said Uyru, grabbing the back of the bench. "What do you mean? You have sent a group of people to end the Bounts? All of them?!"
Methuselah nodded. "They are an ill conceived people that needed to be made extinct. None of them survived."
"Survived? This has already happened?"
Again, Methuselah nodded as he looked to Ishida. "Three days ago. The faction I sent after them now house themselves where the Bounts lived."
"Enough." said Sadow. "We are supposed to be enjoying a peaceful day. Not speculating on the future. Let's just enjoy the day."

Methuselah sighed as he looked around the park. "Yes. Enjoy the day. I will meet you all back home." He rose from the bench as he raised an arm to look at his watch. "I will return home in a few hours. If I do not, return to my father's home.""Imai." said Sadow, reaching for his hand. "Please stay.""I'm afraid I can not. This is an important meeting. And, it could mean the beginning of a new era for the Quincy." He leaned forward, kissing Sadow on the top of the head. "Please understand, I would not be going if it were not important." Methuselah pulled his hood over his head and parted from the group.

"Power":
Kinzo sat on a bench, whistling as he tossed bread crumbs to the ground. He chuckled as the birds pecked away at the crumbs. "You know, a war between the powers is inevitable." He turned his head slightly and looked at the gaunt young women beside him. "Oh, don't look like that, dear Rin. You wanted to get out. And, so I have let you out."
"I told you..." she spoke low as she slide her fingertips beneath her legs. "I am grateful."
"Grateful." Kinzo chuckled. "But, for what are you truly grateful? You despise me. Even hate me. My return was a defeat for both you and my brother. Kinzo is in charge." He smiled wide as he looked to the woman. "You look terrible." Kinzo lifted the small bag of bread crumbs to the young woman. "Eat."
"I am not eating bread crumbs." grumbled Rin.
"But, you will. Because, I've told you to." Kinzo frowned as he turned away from them. "Just as you are here because I've allowed it. You breath because I deem you just worthy enough to do so. Kinzo holds the power." He slammed a fist into the bench. "He does! He does! And, no one can take it from him."

"What is your problem?" Rin bit her bottom lip as she closed her eyes. "I don't understand you. No one does."
"I'm Kinzo."
Rin sighed and shook her head slightly. "Never mind. I'm not going through this with you. I want to go home, now." Rin shifted a bit on the bench before looking toward Kinzo. "Take me home."
"No." Kinzo rose from the bench. He raised his hands above his head as he stretched. "I want you to capture him."
"Capture who?" questioned Rin. She narrowed her eyes as Kinzo pointed out into the distance. "Kinzo..."
"Him."
Rin shook her head as she looked for you it was Kinzo wanted her to capture. She tried looking to Kinzo, but he had vanished just seconds before. Rin sighed as she slowly stood to her feet. "Who..." Rin's eyes grew wide.
"Dad!?"

Methuselah grunted, looking at his daughter from beneath his hood. He shook his head slightly. "No..." he whispered to himself. Methuselah heard his daughter call for him again, this time coming toward him. Taking a step back, he placed his hand to his side while raising the other. "Stop." he shouted, drawing the attention of others in the park. He watched as Rin stopped in her tracks.
"I left you...again..."
"I know..." said Rin. "I know why. It's ok."
Methuselah shook his head. "You don't. And, it's not."
"It is." Rin stepped toward her father and raised her hand to his. Slowly, she lowered his hand and stepped closer. "Let's leave. Kinzo has nothing, if we leave. Let's go."
"I'm not here to rescue you, Rin Kazuya..." Methuselah lowered his hood revealing a scar and blind eye. "I'm...I'm not here to rescue you..."

Rin grabbed the front of her father's shirt and shook him. "Stop being your usual stubborn self and let's go!" She pushed at him, hoping to make him budge. "Imai!"
Methuselah raised a hand, striking his daughter across the face. His slap drew a crowd as Rin fell to the ground. The mummers of the crowd forced a grunt from Methuselah. Quickly, Methuselah drew his bow and aimed it at the crowd. "Get back..." he growled.
"What the hell are you doing?" shouted Rin, placing a hand to her cheek as she looked to her father.
"Get back!"
Rin rose to her feet quickly, drawing her own bow. "You realy aren't here to rescue me...Are you?"
Methuselah growled as he pulled back on his bow. He shook his head.
"Fine..." Rin pulled back on her bow as she narrowed her eyes. "...Fine..."

Methuselah groaned and narrowed his eyes. "Stupid girl..." He waved a hand in dismissal and turned away from her. "Die if you wish."
"Die?"
Methuselah glanced over his shoulder and gave a nod. He watched as the petite woman lowered her bow slightly and turn away.
Rin raised her bow quickly and fired into the crowd behind her. Men and women scattered and screamed as she fired another arrow.
"Rin!" Methuselah turned quickly and raised his hand. "Stop it!" When she didn't stop, he stepped forward and reached for his daughter. "Stop!"
