Gin was no fool. He knew that smirk meant that his master already knew at least half of what had happened in Septima's tower. He shrugged. "Azayaka became a little angry and attacked the seraph," he reported as nonchalantly as he could. "And I was wondering if you have started training your daughter in how to control her hollow."

Aizen grin grew. "My daughter's hollow is none of your concern, Ichimaru. When it is time I will tend to her. So what has become of your Pet--" he looked pointedly at Gin, "and my daughter?" He stood from his throne stepping toward Gin.
"There were many tattle-tail signs of who all were involved. What became of Septima? Out of the ones involved--besides you, his reiatsu seems to be the next strongest I can sense." His tone smooth and inquiring on the steps taken for their actions against one another. "Do not tell me you let him walk away from this?"

Gin felt the first feelings of foreboding in his mind as the hair on the back of his neck sent a shiver through his body, perfectly concealed. As he had suspected his daughter was his highest priority which meant if anyone else had reported this, it would have resulted in a bloody confrontation. He chuckled quietly to himself.
"I never said it was anything I needed to worry about," he said, waving his hand. "It was just simple curiosity fuled by my observations of their fight. I mean your daughter did nearly strangle the seraph to death, Aizen-san," he continued in the same voice. "If Septima or myself hadn't intervened, your plans to ascend to the Gods Realm via her power would have been stopped in its tracks."
As Aizen remained silent with a dark look in his eyes, Gin answered his question in as natural a tone as he could craft. "Septima took your daughter to her rooms since we knocked her out, and then I gave the espada who had dared leave the two of them alone a bloody warning not to let it happen again."

Aizen turned from Gin listening to his explanation. When finished Aizen nodded his head and turned quickly his hand grasp around Gin's neck. Aizen deep brown eye pierced through Gin's pale blue ones.
"You let the man that attack my daughter not only walk away alive, but you allowed him to take her back to her room?" Aizen's grip tightened. "While you--catered to the needs of your Pet." His grip tightened more. "I find this unforgivable."

Gin chuckled painfully. "I am the devil in your daughter's eye," he gasped through his stranglehold. "Do you really think she," he coughed, "would like, to know that I was the one to take her? Or should we have let her kill the seraph, my lord?" He dared to set one hand on his master's over his windpipe. "Septima was watching Kita, working for me, which meant attacking Azayaka was - my orders."

Aizen's grip tightened more his eyes unchanging. "My daughter's life and wellbeing takes precedence over all other things in this palace." Aizen moved closer to Gin, leaning close to his ear. "Even your precious Pet's."
Aizen shoved Gin back releasing him. "Remember that, Ichimaru."

Coughing and leaning against a pillar, Gin nodded. "I understand," he gasped. He stayed silent adjusting to the pain on his breathing then spoke up again. "Kita was distressed when I wounded Septima in retaliation and still suffering from her wounds of the fight, but I will talk to her when I return. Will that be satisfactory for the first offense?"

Aizen turned from Gin. "Bring Kita to me. You are too soft with her. I will tend to your Pet the way I see fit."
Gin was about to intervene when Aizen cut him short. "Tomorrow. Bring her to me."
He turned looking at Gin with narrowed eyes. "You're dismissed."

Gin lowered his head. But for the one visit, Aizen hadn't touched Kita since she had swallowed the pill, and Gin had fallen into the belief that he was no longer interested in her. It was as his master had stated. He had grown softer. Again. Eyes narrowing behind his bangs, the snake faded into the shadows without another word.

"Laying Down the Law":
Azayaka's blood boiled in her veins as she led Vacanze to her father's throne room. She could tell he was seething with rage, but she couldn't quite understand why. After all, the bitch was back in Las Noches. He should have been jumping for joy, eager to run off to her for a good fucking. With each step they took, the urge to rip him to pieces grew stronger. But she held back. She would get her chance.
"You're awfully quite, princess," he said in a low voice, his last word laced with venom.
"Silence, Septima!" She barked at him.
"I don't see why you're angry with me. You were only using me to calm your hollow, right? Me taking Kita should have meant nothing to you... unless--"
"Be quiet! Don't you dare utter that bitch's name in my presence!!!"
Vacanze stopped and looked at her with burning eyes. "No, Azayaka. You are the--"
Azayaka raised her leg and kicked him hard in the chest, sending him flying back into the wall on one side of the throne room doors. He slid to the floor and she walked up to him. She knelt down and grabbed him by the hair, pulling back. "If you ever talk back to me again, I'll rip out your tongue. I'll bet that slut wouldn't like you much then, would she? Not without anything to lick her disgusting cunt with."
Again, there was that look in his eyes. It pissed her off even more. She growled and turned to the guards. "Get him inside! NOW!"

Ulquiorra looked up from the ground as the guards threw the Seventh espada into the room. He tilted his head at the intense fury in the usually stoic façade of his comrade. "You've changed, Vacanze," he murmured, "and I would think that such blame lies at the feet of the vessel of a goddess, though it seems Lord Ichimaru has returned to himself after some time," he commented, looking back towards the empty throne.

Vacanze turned to the Cuatro Espada. "Ulquiorra." Vacanze turned away, closing his eyes. "I have not changed. I merely could not find any viable reason to show my true self to the inhabitants of Las Noches." He knew that wasn't the whole truth; he really had changed, but he wouldn't admit that out loud. "If you or anyone else doesn't like who I truly am, then I'm afraid I can't do much about it."

Uquiorra tipped his head the opposite way as he pondered on what his usual quiet companion had said. "Your argument makes no sense," he stated after a moment. Vacanze turned back to face him. "This world," he waved his hand at the surroundings outside of Las Noches, "and our existences are too different. By accepting Aizen's hand of power, we will continue to be while the world around us changes and dies over and over. Inconsistency of our being would be a weakness in a world where that would destroy you, Vacanze."

Vacanze glanced at him out of the corner of his eye. "Now who's not making sense?" He looked forward again. "If you would prefer me quiet, then I shall hold my tongue from here on out."

"Wouldn't that be a luxury!" Azayaka snarled as she kicked Vacanze behind the knees, making him kneel before the empty throne as they waited for Lord Aizen to arrive. "Why don't you go ahead and do that? Or if you won't, I'll be more than happy to rip your tongue out of your throat!"
Vacanze's shoulders tensed as if he were holding himself back from attacking her. She scoffed at him.
