"You're a child." said Hora, his voice low but clear. His stare could be felt from beneath the cloth that covered his eyes. "You aren't good for anything."
Koga chuckled as he shook his head. "I will not bore you with all that leads to the end. So, we'll skip that part."
"No..." Shosei growled. "Tell me everything. And, spare me your ridiculous riddles."
"Jellyfish. Shark. Ibis. Mantis." Koga smirked at the sight of Shosei's growing frustration. "Evolving. Then the Apex, evolving further."
"I said no riddles!"
Koga cocked his head to the side. "The first of the Apex will return home. And, just when its just most important to them, he will break away from us. But, it will be for nothing."
"Who the fuck are you talking about? Teruo?! Why would he side with them?"
"Teruo was not the first Ayakashi by evolution." Koga folded his arms behind his back. "He should not be considered an Ayakashi at all."

"Why not?" asked Shosei. "You all refer to him as an Ayakashi. If not an Ayakashi, what is he?"
"An example..."
Hora turned his attention to Koga. "Of?" Even he was curious.
"Byleister Vacanze...A hollow with a heart. No, it doesn't make sense. But, here he is. In a world where he would have been devoured by his own kind, perhaps evolution is what spared him and made him the first Ayakashi by evolution. Sada Teruo, a daemon formed from the blood of a god. His power is on par with the gods tempered only by the idea that he has limitations. Once he realizes he has none...He will have none."
Shosei laughed. "He isn't stronger than I am."
"You...Are an amalgam of borrowed strength with a child's temperament."
"Fuck you, Koga!" cursed Shosei. "What else has he planned?"

Hora waved a hand, drawing the attention of the man baby and the Ayakashi. "You didn't answer the question. What is Teruo an example of?"
"Power." answered Koga. "He is an example of power. What we could be." He looked to the masked Espada. "Shall I move on?"
Hora smiled with a nod and opened a void. He stepped through it and let it close behind him.
Koga turned his attention back to Shosei. "After the four, myself, and the six evolve, the daemon will lose his limits."
Shosei frowned deeply. "So, he gets stronger?"
Koga nodded as Hora's void reopened.
Hora nodded to Koga and the Ayakashi returned the gesture with one of his own. He turned his attention back to Shosei. "Do you have anymore questions?"

Shosei raised a hand and pressed a spot right under his eye. He felt a twitch. "What happens next? After all have evolved, what happens?"
"To destroy him," said Koga. "It will take all of them, including your father."
"Stop calling him that!" shouted Shosei. "I am not his son! I...I am a clone of him. I am him..."
Koga smiled. "Far from it."
"What are we to do?" questioned Hora. "You've been heard saying that they will not succeed. And, now you say that it will be destroyed. If that is true, why would we fight for it?"
Koga turned to look at the Espada. "I have seen the the end." His gaze fell to the ground. "It is beautiful."
"How...does it end, Koga?"

"The end, in this case, is less important than how we get there." Koga smiled as he felt the earth beneath his feet. "Curious," asked Hora, stepping next to Koga. "Just how long to the end?""Seven years will pass between now and the end." Koga's violet eyes shined bright as he transitioned back into the form of an owl. He screeched loudly. "Are you going to him?" asked Hora."He's right here." said Shosei. "Why would he have to go anywhere?""Try not to speak when you're not being spoken to." quipped Hora.Koga screeched, silencing them both. ""Beneath the earth! Go beneath the earth!" He took flight, leaving the two behind. "One last task for you," Hora turned and looked to Shosei. "One to push them toward innovation.""And, what is that?"Hora smiled.END RP "Seireitei Devastated"

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 482 "Like Something We've Seen Before": "And, just what will push them towards innovation?""You." Hora smiled as he folded his arms behind his back. "You, despite the childlike temperament, are powerful. You are made up of the strongest the Shinigami have to offer.""And, Teruo.""According to the journal the Ocatva gave you, not quite....If you'd like. Your blade is unique in that it not only amplifies your powers but allows you to...Do so much more." Hora's smile grew wide. Shosei raised a brow. "Are you telling me how my own powers work? Because I am already annoyed with both you and Koga. This will only make it worse."Hora shook his head as he looked to Shosei. "You know your target. Go collect him. Plant the seed."Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 483 "A Quick Theft": (Continued) Kudo marveled as, in a flash, the Twelfth Division Labs appeared at the edge of the Forest of Menos. Hora stood before him, slightly exhausted from the feat. Kudo looked around. “Well done, Hora. But, what of the Shinigami inside?” Hora raised his hands. And, although nothing could be seen happening, Kudo could hear the sudden screams of the Shinigami inside then silence. “There…” said Hora, turning his attention back to Kurae. “There are all where they belong…”Kudo nodded and walked toward the entrance of the Lab. Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 485 "Taking What's Necessary": Shosei raised a brow as arrancar ran in and out of the lab carrying boxes and other things. The lab still sat at the edge of the forest. There was no interest in the building itself. Just its contents. "Clear out everything the Octava has deemed useful!" he shouted. "He's leaving a shell of a building."said Koga, stepping up next to Shosei. "Nothing will remain but it's frames. You set to anger the Captain.""He'll be alright." quipped Shosei. "I'll mark this as an achievement. Annoyed, I'm nearly everyone annoys that man. But, pissed...No I think that there's a special award for that." Koga smirked. "You have no idea." Turning on his heels, Koga turned toward the building. "And, what will you do now, Shosei?""Well, you're Seer. You tell me.""I have better things to do than look at your death by the hands of your father." Koga smirked. He didn't look at him, but he could feel Shosei's anger. He looked to several of Szayel's fraccion dictate where things would be going. "The Captain and his men are coming. I would encourage a faster pace if I were you."As Koga walked away, Shosei grabbed a passing arrancar by the throat. "He is not my father. And, he will not beat me." he said through gritted teeth before snapping the neck of the arrancar. He threw the limp hollow to the ground.

Post by Lt. Nemu Kurotsuchi on Nov 2, 2024 9:58:59 GMT -6
Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: The ChaosEpisode 566 "Into the Lion's Den": (Continued) Nemu arrived in Hueco Mundo moments after leaving Urahara's shop in Karakura. The sands of the realm of the Hollows were as vast and empty as she remembered. Well, not quite. They were even more empty now. Before, Las Noches had stood as a symbol of power and defiance, erected by Sousuke Aizen. Now, that symbol was gone. Erased from existence. What was once a palace was now a faded memory, dusted away with the sands.
Like it never happened.
From her kimono, Nemu pulled out a rectangular device with a screen, activating it. The screen blinked to life and a simplistic radar appeared with a faint blip on the edge of the screen. It pinged quietly. As expected, Kurotsuchi's tracking device placed within the lab made it easy to track it down. How she was going to manage to get everything out... she had no idea. It was either grab what she could and return home and suffer the consequences of not being able to carry everything herself but return with a team of researchers to carry back what was left, or she obeyed her father and stayed here... until she could figure out how to get the whole of it back. Solving that problem would come later. First, she had to get to it.
The blip on the radar led her across the barren sands towards a vast forest. The Forest of Menos. She didn't have to go far into the forest before she ran into the building. She scaled one of the massive trees, avoiding the roaming, towering figures of the Gillian Menos. Towering with the Menos and the trees was the building that served as the Twelfth Division's laboratory. On the outside it looked no different, aside from the chunks of concrete that had been gouged out with the building. She had no idea what the inside looked like, but she expected death and blood. The researchers were presumed to be dead, after all. There was no way the Hollows of Hueco Mundo would leave them alive inside.
She lept down from the tree, rebounding off a nearby one to slow her rapid descent to the ground. She landed several feet from the front door of the lab. Nemu approached the massive double doors and pushed them open. Immediately the smell of blood and death hit her, permeating her senses like poison. She resisted the urge to cover her mouth and nose. Nemu walked further inside, letting the doors behind her swing shut with a loud, echoing THUD. The lab's main entrance was cast into complete darkness. She lifted her hand and casted a simple kido spell, a bright ball of white light forming in her palm. The walk down the hall to the main atrium was eerie and dragged on seemingly into eternity. She had walked these halls tens of thousands of times, but never like this. As she continued, the smell of blood and death grew stronger and stronger. She found her heart pounding as the image of the dead researchers filled her mind. No longer able to resist cowering from the smell, she covered her mouth and nose. Nemu had seen blood and death before but... the thought of what she might find--
No. She wasn't here for the researchers bodies. She was here for the research materials. Her master's notes and lab reports and any of his experiments that she could carry. Really, how was she going to bring it all back? It felt as if he had given her a task he knew she would fail. Strong as she was, she couldn't bring an entire lab with her.
Nemu forged on, and after too much longer she ran into it. The first splatter of blood... but no body. The hallway was painted red like a crude children's painting on white canvas. But still there was no body. The blood was beginning to dry, brown in some spots and red in others, consistent with the time it had been since the lab had been uprooted from Twelfth Division. Finally she reached the main atrium, finding that it too was painted red. The fluid tanks, the lab desks and equipment, the tall, grey pillars containing the heart and lungs of the lab, all of it was splattered with the blood of the researchers. And still no bodies. But that wasn't the only thing that was missing.
The place had been gutted. Not a single scrap of paper had been left. Most of the smaller fluid tanks had been taken outright, and the larger ones were emptied of their contents. The building no longer hummed with the life of her master's experiments. It was dead. Completely silent. Immediately, Nemu knew she was not going to be leaving Hueco Mundo for a while. She had a strong inclination of who had taken the materials... but where was a question she would have to answer in order to find what she was here for.
Las Noches was gone, so where would the arrancar scientist have taken her master's materials?

Szayel scoffed as he emerged from the shadows, the echo of his heels deliberate, reverberating in the silence. His gaze glinted with a mixture of irritation and intrigue as he caught sight of her—a Soul Reaper in his territory, and not just any intruder, but Nemu Kurotsuchi herself. How quaint.
"Well, well… what have we here? My dear, wandering through such a charmingly decorated hallway all alone. And here I thought Captain Kurotsuchi kept a tighter leash on his… beloved experiments." He let the word roll off his tongue with disdain, giving her a look that said he’d sooner dissect her than exchange pleasantries.
He gestured expansively to the gutted lab, smirking as he took in the blood-splattered scene. “Lovely work, don’t you think? An inspired little adjustment, wouldn’t you agree? I found Mayuri’s lab so… pedestrian. It needed a touch of flair, a little life." His fingers traced the air as if painting invisible lines on a canvas. "Of course, life being subjective in this case."
He stalked closer, gaze flicking from the splattered blood to Nemu's expression, savoring her discomfort. “But, my apologies! You must be disappointed; the spectacle is here, but the bodies, as you see, are not. Such a shame, you Soul Reapers always seem to find bodies so… reassuring.” He chuckled, the sound low and amused, reveling in her determination, even in her vulnerability.
“But do not fret. I know why you’re here, my dear. Did you think I wouldn't notice you nosing around my laboratory like a particularly tenacious little beetle?" He leaned in, voice barely above a whisper. "Or did you imagine that I would leave your master’s stolen treasures lying about like lost scraps?”
Straightening, Szayel clasped his hands, his mocking smile widening. “So, Nemu… are you simply going to stand there, observing the silence of my domain? Or would you care to play?”

Nemu found herself frozen in place as she realized who was standing before her. The Octava Espada, Szayelaporro Granz. The man who had used his zanpakuto on her body and used her body to regenerate himself. For a moment she imagined herself back there, the air of Hueco Mundo intensifying the feeling of dread that bubbled up in her chest. She had asked her father to release her from this man's grasp and he had done nothing. He did nothing as he watched the Espada use her body to regain his strength, leaving her near death. It was as if she could feel it happening all over again--
Nemu tried to push out the thoughts and took up her fighting stance, standing her ground despite the twisting inside her gut that made her feel physically ill. She raised her drill hand up towards her head as it began to spin.
"This laboratory does not belong to you, enemy of my master," Nemu said sternly, despite the slight, almost imperceptible waver in her voice. "You will return it and its contents back to the Soul Society. This building and everything in it is the property of Division Twelve Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi."

Szayel's laughter rang out, high and mocking, echoing through the hollowed-out lab. He clutched his chest dramatically, as if wounded by her declaration, before wiping an imaginary tear from the corner of his eye.
“Oh, how rich!” he cackled, eyes gleaming with manic delight. “Do you honestly think that this dreary tomb of a lab belongs to him anymore? My dear, it’s mine now. Your beloved master abandoned it, left it here, ripe for the taking! How careless of him. Or… maybe he wanted me to have it?” He sneered, tilting his head with faux innocence, as though genuinely contemplating the thought.
He leaned forward, the cruel gleam in his eyes sharpening as he regarded the drill spinning in her hand. “Do you intend to fight me with that? You’re more of a puppet than I thought! But let’s be honest, Nemu,” he sneered, circling her slowly, his tone like poison seeping through every word, “you may belong to him, but this laboratory? This realm? They belong to me now.”
He let out another laugh, this one soft and derisive. “Come, then. Show me what your precious master taught you. Defend your precious ‘property.’ Or are you simply waiting to be dismantled, one piece at a time, like the obedient little doll you are?”

Nemu felt her breath quicken, her heart pounding in her chest. She hadn't even fought him the last time. Not really. He had captured her, thinking she would make a good hostage. How wrong he had been. She knew her father would do nothing to save her. He never did. In fact it was quite the opposite. He deliberately put her in danger to further his goals. Often times he would injure her himself when something angered him.
He had watched as this Espada violated her, nearly killed her. And now she truly was fighting him. By herself. She had to face this depraved hollow alone. No one was coming for her. She only had herself to rely on. But could she even defeat him? Would he just use his powers on her again? Devouring her then destroying her organs from the inside with his toys. And even if she managed to injure him significantly, he would only use--
Nemu's hands trembled. She could run. But if she ran, all that would earn her would be another beating from her father. But that she was used to. She didn't want that to be the case, but that was what was demanded of her. No... maybe he would do worse to her for running from this. Not just from this Espada, but from the task he gave her.
Nemu drew a shaky breath and steeled herself as best she could. "You made a fool of me before, Espada. But not again. This time I will not fail my master. He has made me stronger."
She launched herself at him, using all the speed her father had programmed into her, moving faster than the eye could track. She lashed out with her leg from behind, sweeping his legs out from underneath him hard enough to send him landing on his back, the air whooshing out from his lungs. Nemu grabbed him by the throat, squeezing hard enough to crush his trachea as she speared down at him, aiming for right between the eyes with her drill hand.

Szayel's eyes widened in brief surprise as he hit the ground, the force of her strike stealing his breath. For a flicker of a moment, he seemed caught off guard, his usual smug confidence interrupted by a glint of genuine pain. But as her drill hand aimed down, zeroing in on the space between his eyes, he began to laugh—hoarse and rasping from her grip, yet unmistakably mocking.
"Ah, so Daddy finally made some upgrades," he sneered, his voice strangled but venomous. "How precious… you’re trying to play warrior now, aren’t you, little doll?" His eyes flashed with amusement, his mouth twisted into a smirk even as her grip tightened. “But there’s one thing Mayuri didn’t program into that obedient little mind of yours, is there? The thrill of genuine power. Something you’ll never understand.”
Without warning, a writhing tendril of his spiritual energy lashed out from his side, coiling around her arm with blinding speed. He twisted with unnatural fluidity, slipping from her grasp just enough to maneuver out of her line of attack. His smirk widened, a savage glint in his eyes as he threw her backward.
“Stronger, are you?” he taunted, brushing off his shoulders with exaggerated nonchalance as though he’d merely been dusted by an old tapestry. “Then why do you still cling so pitifully to his orders?” His voice lowered, every syllable soaked in contempt. “You may have new tricks, Nemu, but you’re still bound by his leash. All that strength… and yet, you’ll always be his little marionette.”
He spread his arms mockingly, welcoming her attack. “Go on, then. Show me how your precious master improved you. I’ve all the time in the world to break you apart.”
