"Then how, may I ask..." Shu'en sighed as he raised a hand. "Never mind. I wish to learn of the man that was my father. But, I wish to do so...by traditional means." He waved his hand before adjusting the haori draped over his shoulders. "If you can not help me with that, then perhaps I was not meant to know him. "
"I am sorry, but the so called traditional means will take too much of a toll on me right at this moment. If you would like to return at a later date we can talk then, but it has only been a week since his passing." She watched as the walked toward the gate to exit. "Be careful who you request information from on your father. He is not a well liked man in the Soul Society and you yourself could be prosecuted just because you are of his blood."
Shun'en gave a quick nod. "Oh. Before I go, may I ask if you know where I may find a man named Kisuke Urahara?"

Kita smiled with a concealed giggle as she looked down to the ground and back up at Shun'en. "First Division in the Gotei. Tell the guards his daughter, Kita Miyamoto, sent you to see the Captain Commander, you will get in much fast to see him. Say nothing of who your father is or why you have come to see him. It won't fair well for you if you announce your reasons for being there."Shun'en narrowed his eyes. "The man I'm looking for is the Captain Commander?" He lifted a hand and stroked his chin. "Well, this day keeps getting interesting." "Tread lightly Shun'en Tetsuya. Kisuke Urahara is not a man that takes things lightly no matter how carefree or foolish, he might seem to be."
He nodded at her as she returned his gesture and watched him turn and leave the Shihoin Palace grounds. She herself then turned as she summoned a guard to her side. Approaching her he lowered himself to one knee in front of her, his head bowed.
"Fetch my mother and bring her to the garden. She and I need to talk."
The guard nodded, quickly got to his feet and ran off to retrieve Yoruichi Shihoin. Kita then turned toward the garden once more, disappearing from the gate entrance.~End RP~ "Kill the Boy":

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: Deep RenewalEpisode 333 "New Addition": Natsumi walked through the gardens of the Shihoin manor. She wasn't there to relax or stroll and take her mind off of things. She was there to find someone in particular. Someone she needed to talk to, though she was unsure of how the conversation would play out. As she walked through, she started to wonder if this was a good idea. Maybe she was rushing things. Maybe she needed to wait for the conversation to happen naturally. But the longer she thought about it, the more anxious it made her. Eventually, she came to the conclusion that she just needed to rip the bandage off. With tact and respect of course. Otherwise things were bound to turn for the worse.
She didn't have to walk too far before she saw him sitting under a cherry tree, looking out at the bloom of the garden. Nearby was a koi pond that made calming splashing sounds. She took a deep breath and walked up to him slowly and carefully.
"Lord Ashimitsu..." She called out to him softly. When he looked to her, turning his head quickly in surprise, she bowed to him. "I'm sorry to disturb you. May I sit with you?"

Tsukiro's head nodded slowly. "And Tsukiro is fine. No need for formalities. We're family now." He smiled warmly at her, still unsure how he was to feel about this. Given the timeline Natsumi had given him when he first met her, she and his dad knew each other before the takeover but had married while he was gone. That meant his father had a whole relationship he never told him about. He couldn't help but feel a little betrayed, but at the same time he understood. His father probably was afraid of his reaction to finding a new love.
There was so much he wanted to ask her, so much he wanted to know, but he was not sure how to ask except to come right out and ask.
"So--" He cut himself off before even asking the question. He chickened out, giving her a small, sheepish smile. "Out enjoying the garden today?" Damnit! Just ask her, you idiot. he thought to himself.

Natsumi giggled as she sat down on her knees, folding her hands in her lap. "Not today, though the gardens are very lovely." She looked around at the nature surrounding them. "Your father told me he would spend lots of time in the gardens with your mother and you kids."
A frown pulled down at her lips as she silently chastised herself for unintentionally bringing up such a difficult subject right off the bat. "Actually... I wanted to speak with you. I wanted to have an honest conversation with you." She turned back to him. "Family though we may be, we are still strangers. I want to begin to change that. I'm sure you have many questions, after all."

Tsukiro nodded, "I do, but I am sure you have questions as well." He chuckled lightly. "I am sure my father told you everything about me, but it's not like actually meeting."
He looked across the the garden going into thought. Before he knew it, he was asking the question that was bugging him the most. "Why did Father keep your relationship secret?" He did not even look her way until the question left his lips.

Natsumi looked from Tsukiro to her hands in her lap. "Well... he wanted to make sure that what we had was serious and not just temporary. He didn't want to bring someone into your life if our relationship wasn't going to last. And then when we both had decided that we were serious about staying together... He was afraid. He didn't know how you would react."
She looked up at Tsukiro and reached out, placing a hand on his shoulder. "He didn't want you to think he was replacing your mother. And if we ended up having children... he didn't want you to think he was replacing your bother either. We were going to wait until you returned to us to get married... but then everyone was saying you were dead. He decided that it was better to get married and take the time to explain things if you came back than to spend years in agony waiting for something that might not happen. But he still hoped that you would come back to us. He couldn't bear the thought of losing another son."

Tsukiro let out a heavy sigh. He wasn't surprised in the least by her response. "I understand that." He looked over at her. "But I am not a child either." He shook his head. "Also I've told him multiple times before that I wanted him to be happy. Even if that meant he moved on and found someone else."
Natsumi nodded with a smile. "That's what I told him. But you know him. He's stubborn." She gave a small shrug. "Also, just because you say that, didn't mean it's how you would have reacted. For all he knew, this could have gone very very wrong."
"I mean it's not like I would have demanded he divorces you or else," Tsukiro rolled his eyes, lifting his shoulders with a shake of his head. "I figured he would have had a little more faith in me than that."

"Yes, but he also knew that the death of your mother and brother still weighed heavy on you," Natsumi nodded slowly. She took a deep breath and turned to him again. "Which brings me to something I wanted to tell you. If nothing else, I wanted you to hear this from me."
She placed a hand on her heart and shook her head. "I do not plan on replacing your mother. I could never do that. But while I am not your mother, I am your stepmother, and I plan on doing everything I can for you in that respect. Whatever you need from me I will do my best to help you. You don't have to call me anything other than my name if you don't want to."

Tsukiro could not help a soft chuckle, he raised his hand to Natsumi. "I am sorry, I don't mean to laugh and I am not laughing at you. I am laughing at the situation." He gave her a warm smile.
"Let's just take it one day at a time. Who knows, maybe in time I will call you mother." He reached over and patted her hands on her lap. "For now," He offered his hand. "Friends."

Natsumi flushed with embarrassment. It wasn't the reaction she was expecting, but it was immensely better than the reaction she feared. She laughed with him and took his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I suppose it is silly. It's quite the strange situation. Ideally, we would hopefully have a much closer relationship at this point. But that can't be helped."
She gave a firm nod. "If friends is what you wish us to be, then I am alright with that. I just wanted you to know that I don't plan on trying to fill any holes in your heart left by the loss of your family members. I don't want to push you away." She breathed a sigh of relief. "So... any other questions you'd like to ask?"

Tsukiro smiled warmly and sat back against the tree and looked up into the late afternoon sky. "I do have a lot of questions for you, but for now what we've talked about is good enough."He glanced over at her, "and you're right, if I had known about you and dad before hand, this would be a whole different conversation." He looked back to the sky, "but like I said one day at a time... We will get there."Natsumi hummed and nodded with a smile. She reached up and gave his shoulder a pat, standing to her feet. "Then I will leave you to your thoughts, Tsukiro. I'm sure we'll have many other conversations. Especially when things have reached an equilibrium in our newfound peace." She bowed to him. "Enjoy the rest of your day." She turned and walked off back through the gardens, leaving him on his own once more. Tsukiro glanced Natsumi's way as she walked away from his resting location against the tree. "Pfftt, equilibrium. Peace. As long as Aizen lives there is no such thing for us." His tone low as if speaking to himself, his attention then returned to the sky as he watched a passing cloud. I wonder how they're doing? he thought to himself as his mind drifted back to better days.--END RP-- "Five, Four, Three":
