Rangiku melted into the tender kiss wrapping her arms around him as she caressed his soft, lean and tone back. Breaking from the kiss she looked into his eyes their lips brushing against one another as she spoke softly. "What will we have?"Ouranos kissed a trail down her neck her soft cool skin making him even more aroused. "We will have a boy." He tugged at her belt around her holding her robe closed. Pulling it loose it dropped to the floor, her robe following closely behind it.Rangiku moaned holding him close to her, her head tipping back as he placed heated kisses on her chest. Before she could speak another word he had sweep her up into his arms and took her to her bed laying her there to rest as he removed the rest of his clothing and climbed on top of her. She wrapped her arms around him never taking her eyes from him. Seconds past into minutes, minutes into hours putting them in one another arms well into the morning hours. ~END RP~ "Dealing with Loss":

"Rukon's Stray" continued:
He didn't know why he was here. Of all places. At the home of another he had betrayed. Who had doubted him. She whom he had let go because of her. But when his fury of mindless shunpo was over, he stood at the threshold of Rangiku's room. She wasn't there. Probably at work. Or with another. Gin didn't care. He just couldn't. Head lowering, feet shuffling, he walked into the room. Going over the details set before him as if through a filmy glass.
Discarded clothes tossed on a chair, including an ice blue lacy bra. A glass half filled with some lemon juice. And clippings from the Women's Association magazine. Of chidlren running across fields. Of a recipe for dummies of chocolate chip cookies. And a piece of ginger root.
There was, as always, a terribly messy list of things to buy in Karakura. Though it was longer than usual.
Gin released a sigh and fell to the floor in a corner.

So exhausted from her day of paroling she did not even recognized the dull reiatsu of Gin in her room. She just wanted to get out of her uniform and into a hot tub. Her feet were killing her and her head heavy from all the information her Captain pumped into it that morning. Knowing the layout and scattered mess of her room she did not even turn on a light she just made a path to her room as she stripped off her uniform dropping in in her path as she walked along.
She rested her sword to the wall next to the door and continued to strip. Hearing a noise she spun quickly, grabbing her zanpakuto and drawing it in the direction of the noise. It took her a few moments for her mind to catch up with what she was seeing. The silver hair of the drooped figure curled up in the farthest corner. Suddenly she lowered her blade in confusion. As he coughed again.
"Gin-san?" Her tone bewildered but mixed with concern.

“If you want me gone, I’ll go,” he mumbled in a hoarse reply., not bothering to lift his head. “I don’t even know why I’m here.” He scoffed and coughed again. His throat was dry. He must have been going really fast. Then again, his kimono was clinging to him in some places, too. “Not like it matters either way,” he continued.
“Gin-san?” Ran’s voice whispered.
He finally raised his head and looked to her. Standing half naked in a green lacy bra, skin glistening from the exertions of the day, sunburnt hair shimmering around her in a messy halo, what drew him in was the slight bulge of her stomach and the hand that had settled over it. Protecting. The haunting ache in his soul strengthened.
“Shall I offer congratulations?” he muttered, lowering his head again.

Rangiku blinked a few times then realized he was talking about her being pregnant. She chuckled lightly. "An Eva baby. The God of Water, Ouranos. It's his child." She smiled brightly. "I am hoping for a girl."
When Gin did not look up at her from her news she let her hand slid across his cheek and lifted his head to look into his pale blue eyes. However, this time they were colorless and very bloodshot. "Gin-san, what is wrong? Please tell me, you have me very worried. Why are you here?"

Gin stared into her light blue eyes, eyes full of light, not the eyes that were deep with longing and endless trust. Or so he had believed. Gin broke the contact by letting his head fall again. But his lips started forming words. And thoughts. “It’s over, Ran. Everything. She- she didn’t believe it. Did-didn’t believe it was real. After- after..”
His bleeding hand rose to grab at his hair again and he gnashed his teeth.
“It’s all gone, Rangiku!”

Rangiku sank to her knees beside him wrapping her arms slowly around her heartbroken friend. She let his head rest to her shoulder as she held him tightly in her arms and rocked them both gently. She felt a tug at her heart feeling his lifeless body next to her. What happened to the man that was so full of life and energy? So full of views of the future since the first time he laid eyes on his beautiful son.
She kissed the top of his head letting her hand pet the back of his sliver damp hair. "I am sorry Gin-san. I hoped and prayed for the two of you. I really did. She changed you so much and brought you back to us. If anything good came from the two of you, it was that and Sojiro."
His head lifted as he looked to her once more, her hand cupping his cheek as she smiled as brightly as she could for him with her heart feeling heavy for his loss. "Maybe that was all that was supposed to happen. Angels enter our lives for many reasons. Maybe she was your angel to bring you back to us, and bless you with the undying love of a child."

“But it’s not enough!” Gin screamed, suddenly bowing his head against her chest, fingers grasping at her arms. “It’s not enough, Rangiku! I need her. I told you. I told her. I told …. others. I can’t-” Moisture dripped onto her skin. He couldn’t keep them back anymore. “I needed her trust, Ran….. her belief… her light. She never doubted me. Until… until now. But it’s gone…”
Rangiku’s arms tightened around him. “But you still have Sojiro,” she reminded him.
Gin laughed roughly. “Do I? Do I really?” His body started trembling even worse as Vale’s words ripped into him once more. “He’s grown, Ran. How much time did I really have with him? After eight years in a coma, nearly a decade in Las Noches, and three years in a different kind of hell. Does he really l-love the man I am? Or - or is that a fantasy, too?” The tears fell more readily down his nose. “The fucked up wish of a blood-stained man who wanted to wreck vengeance for a ragged girl? Who…”
Who started to dream about life again. Because of a chance.

Rangiku placed her hands to his shoulders and pushed him back slightly rough as she looked into his eyes. Her eyes narrowed. "You listen to me and you listen to me good Gin Ichimaru. When have you ever needed anyone? You're stronger than most men I know and always will be and I am not talking about strength as in your abilities with your zanpakuto or...or well..." she shrugged her shoulder slightly as she looked away from him for a second. "You were never really good in Kido," she looked quickly back to him. "But dammit you know what I am saying!"
She paused for a second, her hand cupping his cheek again. "She gave you a reason to live. She proved to you and to others that you were not that evil person Aizen tried to make you or you tried to make us believe you were. She taught you how to truly love with all your heart and showed you that you are worthy to be loved in return. She showed you a life you had forgotten. Brought you back to it and gave you not only a new beginning, but a son." She smiled brightly at him her eyes glimmering with a new hope.
"I am so thankful to her and Kisuke. If it were not for them. I would have lost you forever."

Something sparked deep in his pained eyes before fading as his eyes glanced downwards. Rangiku let his head slide down but kept her hand on his cheek. Letting him know she was there. Of what she had gained because of all the pain, the cursed, crippling, pain his soul was wracked with. The ache, the gnawing that wasn’t sinking away like it usually would. Back in the past. When he killed someone. When he had raped someone. When those whimpers rang in his mind long after their bodies were disposed of. No, like when she had been weeping in a blood-drenched shower, when her soft eyes had pleaded for his intervention with his master, and when she sat hunched over a bench in a blooming garden miserable because she had got with child, the wound of her doubt, of this loss, lingered.
Because he didn’t want to let it go.
He didn’t want to banish her to the darkness of his past.
And he wouldn’t.
Gin closed his eyes and took a deep breath, his mind clearing as if from a storm, even though his body throbbed. Even though a place deep inside him was still wailing. Rangiku was right. He was no stranger to pain. Even of this kind. And... Kita Miyamoto had given him too much to be forgotten. It didn’t matter if she had changed. That she no longer… trusted him. She was still his light. And the scars of her lessons had left their mark on his heart.
He couldn’t go back.
Gin slumped back against the wall and took another breath, hand going to his hair and threading through it. He paused and looked at the palm, noting the glass shards glistening from the dark wounds.
“Do you have some tweezers and some cloth so I can tend to this?” he asked, eyes misty.
Perhaps it meant someone would trust him again. Or he could still watch her from afar. But he had gained too much to give up now. On life. Or himself. He couldn't retreat into the darkness and give it all up.

She smiled warmly at him and nodded as she pushed up off the floor, Gin helping her with her new awkward form. She chuckled lightly as she stood. "I guess I had better stop sitting on the floor or in another month I won't be able to get up off the floor."
She heard Gin snicker ever so slightly causing her heart to lift in spirits as she walked toward the bathroom. She grabbed all the needed materials and returned back to his side. Only to find he had moved to the bed and sat down on the edge. She smiled softly with a soft chuckle. "Thank you." She sat down and took his hand in hers and looked it over. He tried to pulled away from her, but she would not allow it. "You know..."
He looked to her as she did a quick check of his hand and grabbed the tweezers beside them. "She is not the only female that loves you or ever loved you." She picked out three small shards of glass. Then looked again to make sure it was clean of any other unwanted objects.

Gin nodded slowly. “I know that, Ran.” He set his other hand over hers. “I am well aware of your forgiving nature. It’s something you’ve always had. You knew I killed to get into the academy. And you knew that there was something that you wouldn’t approve of in the actions thereafter.” A low chuckle escaped between his smiling lips. “You even moped a long time after I disappeared into Las Noches and thought you could chase me down and change my course of action. Silly girl.”
She straightened up and her lips pursed together. “Excuse me?” she pouted.
Gin laid a kiss on her forehead before she could really start to complain, sighing as he pulled back. “Things were simpler back then, and sometimes I wish I could go back. But that’s not going to happen.” He squeezed her hand and rose from the bed, eyes shining behind his silver hair. “You have a child coming. And even if it’s an Eva, I’m not going to threaten the fortune that somehow stretches between us.”
I will not witness that sight again.
“Besides,” he smirked and caressed her arm, “someone was going to shower. And as pretty as this sight is, I think your skin is starting to cool down without any stimulation. You won’t appreciate that in a few minutes, Raggedy Ran~"

Rangiku sighed shaking her head. "Sometimes I think your as clueless as Ichigo is." She lifted from the bed after placing a tender kiss to his cheek. "Give me a second and I will be right back."
As she slipped into the bathroom to retrieve her robe taking a few extra moments to run a brush through her wind blown hair. When she returned back into the bedroom Gin was gone. On her pillow a small pouch. She placed her hands to her hips with a bright smile and a slowly shaking of her head. She slowly walked over to the bed picking it up as she sat to the edge of the bed. She opened the pouch, reaching in she pulled out one of the dried persimmons and popped it in her mouth. Falling back to the bed her hands stretched out beside her, she looked up at the ceiling and smiled.
"He really is clueless these days."
Finally, she pushed up off the bed and went to the bathroom once more for her over due shower.
