Vacanze snorted. "She's like putty. Cold putty. But putty." He rolled his eyes as he thought of the bat. "The problem is, she keeps bouncing back and forth between me and Ulquiorra. Apparently they're fuck buddies now."

"That's an easy fix." Kisuke looked over at Vacanze. "Give her something he can't." He grinned. "Women are easy to work around if you know what they want."
"Yeah, and what the hell would the Princess want?" Vacanze growled.[/font]
"I don't know, you're fucking her. You figure it out. I am sure she needs something." Kisuke replied turning back to the pendant. "Maybe help with her hollow powers?" He shrugged still keeping his attention on his work.

Vacanze growled again, watching as Kisuke tinkered with the pendant. "So what exactly are you doing to it? How will it work, exactly? Just put it in her and let it do its thing?"

Kisuke paused while working on the pendent and turned looking at Vacanze. "On, Espada. You put it on her. Not in her."
He grinned as Vacanze growled at him. "You know what the fuck I meant."
Kisuke turned with a chuckle and went back to work. "Do I now?" He finished up with the final touches and turned with the pendent dangling from his fingers. He placed it on a matching chain. "As long as she wears it, it will slowly drain her power." He stepped toward the Espada. "She won't even be aware of it. That is unless she tries to use her powers, and the more she uses them the faster it will drain them."
He handed the pendent to Vacanze. "So if you want to win her over more by helping her with her hollow powers." Kisuke paused, "I would give her the pendent after a few lessons. At that point she will just think she is not getting the idea of her powers and that is why they are failing her."

Vacanze nodded, taking the pendant and pocketing it. He stood up. "Anything else I should know? I should be heading back before Azayaka goes looking for me."

Kisuke looked at where he shoved the pendant, then looked back up at Vacanze. "I wouldn't leave that in your pocket for too long. You'll find your powers are depleting if you do."
Vacanze nodded as Kisuke got a thinking look in his eyes. "If this don't play out and Aizen learns you're the one behind this. You're welcome to call this your new home."

Vacanze grinned at Kisuke. "If Kita ends up staying here, then I will take you up on that offer. But know that wherever she goes, I will be right there with her. I was born from the soul of a warrior. And a warrior protects and follows his master or mistress to the very end. I will never be farther from her than I have to. With that said. Even if things do go well, eventually, I will end up here by Kita's side regardless."
He nodded to Kisuke then turned towards the door. "I'll keep in touch. I will visit again when the pendant is securely around her neck."

Kisuke patted his shoulder, "you're a good man Vacanze. Kita is lucky to have you as a friend." His hand then went to his hat as he tipped it slightly.
Vacanze gave him the best smile he could muster as he nodded and left the shop. Kisuke followed going to the kitchen to grab a bite to eat for lunch a nice cup of tea to calm his nerves once more.--END RP-- "A Step Forward or a Step Back?":

"Ray of Hope": After a short search Kita found Kisuke in his lab. He was moving things around sitting them in place with force and a rather loud thud as they found their new place in the lab. Kita quietly closed the door behind her and watched him. Finally, he stopped resting his hands to the counter, his head dropping in defeat as a loud sigh escaped him.
Kita folded her hands in front of her her face etched with sorrow as she watched him. She knew what he thinking and she felt bad for bringing him such heartache. Slowly she walked up behind him touching his shoulder.
"Kisuke..." his name but a whisper.

Kisuke turned and took Kita in his arms pulling her close to him as he petted her hair. "You know you're like a daughter to me and it kills me to know you want to go back to that hell. Why?"
Kita sighed and hugged him back. "I will be alright. I promise. You know as well as I he is worth saving. He wanted to to be with me and his son, Kisuke." She pulled back slightly from the hug.
He looked at her with sad eyes shaking his head. "If that were so he would not have turned back to the darkness."
Kita smiled warmly and hugged him again. "A wise man once told me... 'It's always darkest before the dawn'."
He broke from the embrace once more, and looked at her with a cocky smile. "You're not allowed to use my own words against me."
Kita giggled softly, "please just bear with me on this. Sumi will not let me get hurt, and if you want to believe it or not neither will Gin."
Kisuke sighed adjusting his hat, his eyes telling her he was not so sure about the latter of the two.

“Gin is not lost,” came a low voice that sounded eerily like Gin’s but was more whispery, ethereal, like it didn’t belong to this plane. A transparent silver kitsune alighted on the lab table, and folding his four tails around him, looked at the two forlorn faces. “But what he has done will increase his chances of disappearing.”
“What did he do?" Kita asked.
“Gin split his soul and has locked most of it inside me,” the fox explained, flicking his tattered ear, “to prevent completely breaking apart due to his fear.”
“How is that any different than him being lost?” Kisuke murmured, adjusting his hat.
“A flicker of his light remains inside the darkness, not enough to turn him back, but enough to lead him back if he is not forgotten.”

Kita's eyes brimmed with joy a radiant smile crossed her lips. "So I can bring him back." Her hand clenched to Kisuke's sleeves in excitement as she quickly looked from Shinsou to Kisuke and back to Shinsou again.
Shinsou tilted his head at the girl and at her over enjoyment. "Do not think this will be easy, Kita. This will be a hard road for you. You have never seen him like this.”
Kita shook her head. "I did not think it would be and I don't care. I did it the first time. I can do it again." She smiled brightly a determined look in her eyes, shaking her head. "I won't lose him. I won't let the darkness win. I will walk the depths of the darkness to bring him back if I have to." She looked to Kisuke as he took her hand in his. Her head shaking again as her eyes closed then opened slowly. "I will fight that darkness. Even if it means I have to fight the Gin that rears his dark face. I won't lose him."
Her head shook slowly her eyes pooling with tears. "I will bring him back to the light. I will!" Kita's hands clenched into fist every word caused the determination in them to grow brighter and stronger.
She then looked to Shinsou tilting her head at him questioningly. "Shinsou, from the knowledge I have been told about the zanpakuto spirit. A zanpakuto spirit is a part of the Shinigami's soul. So you know Gin better then anyone. Please. If you can. Can you give me any clues or ideas on how to not to push him further into the darkness, or even how to pull him out faster."

Shinsou’s form wavered for a moment before he scratches his scarred ear and his form retained his shape. “No one has seen my master like this since he first joined Aizen and the man began to shape him into the perfect lieutenant. I have no doubt when he returns to Aizen the man will do some more molding. It is what he does with his favorites, or attempts to do, in the case of yourself.” Kita frowned and folded her arms. “Well he can keep trying. I am not losing to him.” She looked to Kisuke and then set a hand on her stomach. “I have too many reasons to keep fighting.” She smiled brightly. “And Gin is one of them, whether he likes it or not at this point.”
Shinsou’s tails switched around him as he regarded the human who had become his master’s light. “In this guise, Gin will defer to Aizen and will do any number of terrible things; however, he will still claim his child and afford you …. a modicrum of protection. You will have to learn his triggers - that which are the flickers of light and that which are painful. Those can push him farther, but they are also the key to pulling him back.” He ducked his head, ears going back. “That is all I can say. It took him centuries to come out into the twilight of dawn. This time, he ran. He cannot do so again. His soul - and I - will break.”

Kita nodded, "I will learn them. I do know most of them now, but he is also darker as well. I am sure the ones I know will be more tender and the ones I don't know will be the danger zone I will have to look out for." She looked to Kisuke. "It will be a hit and miss, trial and error run for me. I guess I am going to have to learn to drop, bow and beg for forgiveness quickly."
Kisuke placed his hand to her shoulder a look of worry painted his face. "Kita. Are you sure you want to live like this. Gin is nothing like you remember from before."
Kita patted his hand and smiled. "He is still Gin. He is still in there. He just needs to be found and I am the only one that can do it. He wants me to find him, Kisuke. He doesn't want to lose me. He has told me this many times."
"But Kita--"
Kita shook her head. "I won't turn my back on him. He needs me more now then he ever did. It's time I repay all the things he has done for me." She looked from Kisuke to Shinsou and back to Kisuke again.
"I love him and I won't let him down. I won't turn him away in his time of need."

Shinsou nodded before losing his form and becoming a wisp of mist. “He will be at his most dangerous from now until Aizen approves of him again. That will be the most dangerous time for you, when his instincts for survival will war with anything else inside him. Good luck.” The kitsune vanished.
