Sojiro nodded. “I know that. But….” he looked down again. “What do I do about my anger?” He looked back up at the former Espada. “I don’t want to hurt her again. I didn’t even want to then. Not consciously. That didn’t stop me though.” He closed his eyes at the pain he’d seen in both Makino and Riku’s eyes that day before looking back to Vacanze.
Vacanze sighed. “You’re talking to a former Espada, Soji. I’m not sure I am the one you should talk to about being worried about your anger.” He looked over the boy’s head. “But from what I witnessed here after we heard the unfortunate news, I’d make a guess that you would be even more exceptional if you hadn’t lost your control at that time.” He grinned as he turned back to the young Ichimaru. “You may be good at bottling them up, but if you’re anything like your mother, your feelings are going to burst through. It was only a matter of time.” Sojiro folded his arms. “And you said you don’t know enough about emotions.”
Vacanze smirked and wiped at his face with his sleeve. “I’m good at remembering what others say.” Sojiro chuckled with a slight smile. “Use whatever excuse you want to, V-man. It just shows that you’re one of us.” He thought back to his words to Makino last night. When he had decided to take the lead she had initiated in order to keep her smiling. Her tingly laughter. And dazzling violet eyes. “I think I know what to do,” he murmured. “At least a first step.”
“Good,” Vacanze responded, “because I am out of quotes to toss at you, little man.” Sojiro rubbed the back of his head. “I’m not that little,” he retorted.
Vacanze grinned. “I don’t know about that. How far have you gotten with that girl you’re so ‘smitten’ over?” He chuckled. “Not that far if you’re blushing.” “That doesn’t mean I’m little!” Sojiro exclaimed. “What is it with all of you commenting on that?!”
“And that’s why you’re exceptional.” The hallway filled with laughter and banter as Sojiro retaliated and both of them focused on getting even.
Sojiro called the game to a halt by narrowing his eyes and stepping back again. "There is another reason I came here, V." He then asked for a pendant to protect Makino – and if there were tricks to escape gargantuas. Focusing on the trials ahead and the people dear to him. - END RP -

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: Deep RenewalEpisode 315 “Family”: (continued) Sitting around in his lab, Kisuke sat talking to Isshin explaining to him what took place to put them back in Karakura, reassuring him that everyone that was a captive in Las Noches had been returned home. It did not matter if they were in the Maze or in the palace.
He also told him about the restrictions on Aizen and the hollows with Kita, but the same limits also applied to Kita with them. Continuing their conversation, Kenji left the lab and went to get them something to drink. After being gone for a few minutes, Kenji returned with their drinks, his father telling Isshin that he was going to Soul Society to inform Kyoraku and the others of what took place. He figured they were as confused as his and Isshin’s family.Kisuke looked at Kenji and smiled as he took his drink from the tray, “thank you, son.”Isshin took his drink as well as all three men then froze in place. Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 402 "The Ailing Urahara": Kita remained in the training field for quite some time after Kenji had stormed out, he had left her with something to think about. Something that the boy was right about, even if he did say it out of being distraught or even just angry. She is the cause of all of this. Not really her, but still the same. Her. After a long thought and knowing it was the right thing to do, Kita headed to the house and went straight to the lab where she knew Kisuke was and Kenji was not. She knew how she needed to say this to Kisuke to place the blame on her for this action she was taking and not on Kenji. Now she just needed to deliver the bad news.
When she opened the door she saw Kisuke, along with Gin. Both stood next to the large table where Kisuke did most of his formulas/blueprints/creations. They both looked in her direction as she closed the door behind her. “That was quick, Dearie~” he was going to ask her if she felt better after talking to Kenji, but by the look on her face he could see it did not go well. “I am guessing it did not go as planned.”Kita only shook her head as she stepped up to the table. She looked pointedly at Kisuke. “I need you to hear me out before you speak, alright?”Kisuke nodded adjusting his hat, “alright.” He looked at his adopted daughter.“I wanted to say thank you for everything you and Yoruichi have done for me. You took me in when I lost my parents to a hollow attack. Not only that you were parents to me from the beginning when I did not know who--what…what I was. You took care of me and kept me safe. Taught me a lot about the spirit realm, soul reapers, hollows, and Aizen Sousuke and myself, as a person not a vessel, but as who I am. Now it’s time,” she looked over at Gin and took his hand in hers, smiling warmly. “time for me to move on and live my own life.”Kisuke’s eyes widened and he was taken aback, but he stayed silent and listened to what she had to say.“I have a family of my own now. A family that needs me and I need to take time for myself. I need to step away from all of this. Sumi is no longer part of my life so Aizen will not give me a second look, but as long as I stay part of this family I will always be a target in Aizen’s eyes.”“So are you saying you are never coming back around the shop?” Gin asked his wife.Kita’s head nodded. “You and Sojiro can come visit whenever you like and you can even bring Kadaj if they want to see him, but I have caused enough trouble, pain and heartache here with the presence of Sumi.” She smiled. “Maybe one day we can come together again.” She saw the worry on Kisuke’s face.
“Don’t worry about me, Kisuke. I have Gin, Ichi, Isshin and do I dare say Vale.” She giggled. “And I still have my powers and I am still a mad swordsmen,” she smirked, “woman. I had some of the best swordsmen teach me how to wield a sword from day one.”

“Where the hell is all this coming from, Kita? And don’t you dare tell me it’s because you feel as if you have intruded on us enough.” Kisuke questioned her.“This is odd~, especially since you just came up from talking to Kenji.” Gin added giving her a keen look.Kita’s head shook, “Kenji and I just talked and it made me think about some things, and he is right. Now that things have kind of calmed down we need to take advantage of the time we have before it gets crazy again.” She lied, but she smiled through it and tried to make up for it with a truth. “You need to help Kenji get on top of his training. I need to set up house in the old place and make it mine, Gin, and the kid's place and not my parents. Plus, I need to find a job still.” “I thought you were going back to work with Isshin in the clinic?” Kisuke asked.“I have not talked to him about that yet. So I don’t know if that is still possible.”Kisuke gave her a questioning look as he adjusted his hat. “This talk is not over with.”“But it is,” Kita stated, “when I leave here I won’t return. Not for some time anyway, and I think it would be best if you just tended to your family and left mine be.”“Family is not just blood Kita.” Kisuke nearly growled.“I know that, Kisuke.” Kita’s eyes started to burn, but she fought back the tears. “But for now, I think it’s best that it stay blood.” Kita released Gin’s hand, stepped around the table, and gave Kisuke a tight hug. “I love you, and I always will. That will never change.” She pulled back from the hug and looked at Gin. “You can stay if you want, but I am going home with the boys.” Kita turned and walked toward the lab door.Gin turned to Kisuke his look telling him that he would get to the bottom of this one way or another. Kisuke nodded in return as he watched Gin walk off toward Kita.“Now where is that son of mine?” Kisuke asked as he put his finished project away and left the lab as well.Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 490 “Nevermore”: Kisuke sat at the cluttered table in his lab, his brow furrowed in concentration as he juggled various experiments. One of his foremost concerns was finding a way to destroy the Hōgyoku. If there was a method to achieve this without divine intervention, he was determined to find it. He had to—there was no alternative. For the sake of everyone involved, he needed to uncover a solution.
The Hōgyoku was initially created through the intricate process of merging and manipulating the energies of both Souls and Hollows. This powerful artifact was designed to transcend the standard limitations of Soul Reapers and Hollows by breaking down the barriers between different types of spiritual entities and enhancing their abilities. Its purpose was to help individuals reach their fullest potential by overcoming traditional spiritual constraints.
However, the Hōgyoku's true nature revealed itself in a more unsettling manner. It had the ability to absorb the desires of those around it and manifest them into reality. Yet, this power came with limitations. The Hōgyoku was essentially a guiding force—it could only bring to fruition the desires of those strong enough to enact them. The original Hōgyoku, incomplete on its own, became far more formidable after merging with Aizen’s Hōgyoku. Together, they created a more potent and unified artifact.
And now, Kisuke faced a troubling reality: a third Hōgyoku that he should never have created.
His original plan had been a desperate gamble, one he had hoped would succeed but ultimately did not. This plan was to lure Aizen’s Hōgyoku away by presenting an even stronger Hōgyoku housed within a superior vessel—Kita. With Sumi residing within her, Kita seemed the perfect candidate. The idea was that Aizen’s Hōgyoku, unable to resist the allure of a stronger counterpart, would retreat to Kita and merge with her Hōgyoku. Unfortunately, the plan failed.
The reasons for this failure remained unclear to Kisuke. His best guess was that Kita’s primary desire was merely to escape her captor. Yet, she lacked the resolve to destroy life to achieve that freedom. Consequently, Aizen’s Hōgyoku deemed her unworthy. Alternatively, the presence of Sumi, a formidable entity capable of potentially destroying the Hōgyoku, may have instilled fear in it.
Kisuke could spend hours speculating about the reasons, but only the Hōgyoku itself held the truth, and accessing that truth was proving impossible. Kita’s Hōgyoku had been forcibly rendered dormant, sealed under a powerful Kido spell cast by Kisuke, Ukitake, Kyoraku, and Kuchiki. It was further enclosed within a barrier and buried deep within Kita, hidden from the world. For all intents and purposes, Kita’s Hōgyoku was no longer part of their reality and that is how it would remain.

Aizen entered the lab with the quiet assurance of a shadow, moving deliberately towards Kisuke, his rival and brother. Kisuke, sitting with his back to the door, turned slowly in his chair, his gaze sharp and unyielding beneath the brim of his hat.
“How is she?” Kisuke inquired, his voice smooth yet carrying a hint of curiosity.
Aizen’s lips curled into a smirk as he rounded the table to face Kisuke. “She’s managing as well as can be expected,” he replied, coming to a stop directly across from Kisuke.
Kisuke’s eyes narrowed. “You know he will find her. And when he does, there will be consequences.”
“Then I suggest you put a leash on your snake, Urahara,” Aizen said, leaning forward with his hands resting on the edge of the lab table. “Aside from the divine realms, this is the safest place for her.”
“That’s not the point,” Kisuke snapped, his jaw clenched in frustration, “and that wasn’t the plan. She needs to be with the children.”
Aizen’s gaze hardened. “The children are currently safest with their fathers. Until Shosei is dealt with, Kita remains hidden under the Kido’s cloak. That was the agreed-upon strategy.”
“It’s not just Shosei. We need to find a way to destroy the Hōgyokus. Their existence is a perpetual threat,” Kisuke said, adjusting his hat as he met Aizen’s stare. “And remind me, why did we end up volunteering to deal with the Mad Scientist’s creation?”
Aizen’s expression shifted slightly, revealing a trace of frustration. “You want the Hōgyoku, don’t you? It has already rejected me twice. If I went after Shosei, it would be expected. Besides, this leaves Kita vulnerable.”
“We can handle that,” Kisuke retorted.
“Can you?” Aizen raised an eyebrow, his tone laced with skepticism. “If you’re so confident, why did you come to me for assistance?”

Kisuke’s gaze remained steady, his expression a mixture of resolve and exasperation. “Because, Aizen, handling the immediate threats is like playing whack-a-mole. The real menace is the Hōgyoku that’s still active, and if it somehow wakes the one inside Kita...” He adjusted his hat, a hint of sarcasm in his tone.
“Well, let’s just say we’ll be dealing with a cosmic-level headache that could unravel everything we’ve worked for.” He paused, fixing Aizen with a pointed stare. “If we don’t find a way to destroy your Hōgyoku, all our efforts will be for nothing. And right now, your expertise is crucial. After all, you’re the only one who knows that pesky thing inside and out.”
Aizen’s lips curled into a calculating smile. “Always the pragmatist, Kisuke. You’re right; the Hōgyokus are a persistent threat. But you should remember that my interests align with yours, at least for now. If we can find a way to neutralize them, it benefits us both. So, if you’re suggesting that my involvement is necessary, then I suppose we’re in agreement. Just don’t expect me to be the one to shoulder all the risks.”
Kisuke’s eyes gleamed with a hint of mocking amusement. “Oh, I wouldn’t dream of letting you take all the risks, Aizen. I know how much you value self-preservation. But if we’re to succeed, we’ll need more than just mutual interests; we need genuine collaboration. So let’s set aside our differences for now and focus on eliminating this threat. The sooner we act, the better our chances are of actually achieving something worthwhile.”

Aizen’s gaze remained unwavering, his tone smooth and calculated. “Very well, Kisuke. Collaboration it is, but let’s not forget: my assistance comes with its own conditions. If we’re to work together, ensure you uphold your end of the bargain. I expect nothing less than complete commitment from you, as I will offer the same.”
Kisuke leaned back slightly, a sly grin forming under the brim of his hat. "Full commitment, huh? Coming from you, that almost sounds like a threat."
Aizen’s smirk widened, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Consider it a promise. We both know half-measures won't suffice. The Hōgyokus demand our undivided attention."
Kisuke nodded slowly, his mind already racing through potential pitfalls and strategies. "Agreed. Our first step should be understanding why the Hōgyoku has taken a liking to Shosei. If we can unravel that mystery, it might give us the insight we need to deal with this mess."
Aizen’s eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of condescension in his tone. “You’re always so eager to understand, Kisuke. Sometimes, the why is less important than the how. But very well, let’s indulge your curiosity. If the Hōgyoku has chosen Shosei, there must be a reason worth uncovering. Just remember, any insight we gain only strengthens our position. Don’t let your fascination with the details distract you from our ultimate goal.”

Kisuke chuckled, adjusting his hat with a playful glint in his eye. “And you’re, always the strategist. But you know me—I like to understand the puzzle pieces before I start putting them together. Uncovering why the Hōgyoku picked Shosei isn’t just about curiosity; it’s about getting the full picture. Besides, the devil is in the details, and I’m rather fond of outsmarting devils.”
Aizen chuckled lightly. “I think you’ve been spending too much time with Ichimaru, Kisuke. Also, keeping Kita safe is paramount, you must ensure that Gin remains on a very short leash. His curiosity and unpredictability could jeopardize her whereabouts, and we can’t afford any slip-ups. If Shosei finds her it’s over.”
Kisuke grinned, his eyes glinting with mischief. “Aizen, you wound me. I assure you, I haven’t lost my touch with the art of oversight. Gin’s obsession with finding Kita is indeed a double-edged sword, but I’ve got it under control. I’d hate to see Kita’s safety compromised because of a loose end. Rest easy—I’ll make sure Gin and his posse stay in line.”

Aizen’s gaze remained cool and calculating, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. “I trust you understand the stakes, Kisuke. Gin’s fixation on Kita is indeed a delicate matter, and while your confidence is noted, it must be matched by vigilance. The safety of Kita is non-negotiable, and any misstep could be catastrophic. Ensure that Gin and his associates are kept firmly in check. We cannot afford the luxury of errors, not with so much at risk.”
Kisuke’s smile widened, his eyes twinkling with a hint of amusement. “I wouldn’t dream of letting things slip through the cracks. Gin’s fixation with you is indeed a tricky matter, but I’ve got all the angles covered. I’ll keep him and his crew on a tight leash. And don’t worry—if anyone gets too close to finding Kita, I’ll set them on a different path.”
Aizen’s gaze sharpened, his tone laced with a hint of menace. “I appreciate your confidence, Kisuke, but Gin and Vacanze have come dangerously close to uncovering Kita’s location. Are you certain your measures will be sufficient? I suggest you reassess your approach with Gin. When it comes to Kita, Gin is relentless.” Aizen gave Kisuke a knowing look, “If Kita’s whereabouts are compromised, the consequences could be dire for all involved.”

Kisuke’s smile faded as he gave Aizen a sharp look. “You seem to forget that I’m well aware of the stakes if Kita is found, Aizen. But let’s not ignore the history here. Gin’s distrust of you runs deep, and if he stumbles upon you—Kita or no Kita—he won’t hesitate to take you out. He’s the type to shoot first and ask questions later.”
Aizen chuckled, a hint of disdain in his voice. “Gin? Kill me? Given the boy is strong and his powers are indeed formidable, he lacks the finesse and strategic depth required to make such a bold claim a reality. His fighting style is aggressive and impulsive—he relies too heavily on his instincts and speed. While effective in many situations, it leaves him vulnerable to a more calculated approach. If he were to come after me, I’d expect his actions to be reckless, lacking the precise follow-through that’s necessary to truly succeed.”
Kisuke’s eyes narrowed slightly, his tone firm but measured. “Don’t be so quick to underestimate Gin, Aizen. While his fighting style might have been more reckless in the past, he’s grown considerably over the years. His desire to protect Kita and Sojiro has been a significant factor in that change. Gin has learned to temper his aggression with strategy and patience. His growth isn’t just about raw power anymore—he’s developed a depth and adaptability that shouldn’t be dismissed. Underestimating him now would be a grave mistake.”

Aizen turned to leave the room, a hint of menace in his voice. “I trust I won’t need to factor that into my calculations, Kisuke.” He paused at the entrance, his hand resting on the door handle. “Ensure that Gin remains distanced from the stronghold I’ve established to protect Kita. If you fail in this, I might be forced to test his abilities firsthand.” Aizen opened the door with a measured grace. “It would be quite unfortunate to have to create such a predicament, leaving Sojiro to face the loss of his father.”
Kisuke adjusted his hat, a playful glint in his eye. “Aizen, you’re not just dealing with Gin when it comes to Kita. She’s got a whole support network willing to go to great lengths for her.” He leaned forward slightly, a hint of amusement in his voice. “You should remember that from all the trouble she’s caused you. Even Tervaden’s stepped in and given you a run for your money over her, and he’s actively searching for her as well. Kita’s got more allies than you might like to admit.”
Aizen let the door close behind him and turned back to face Kisuke, his expression cold and composed. “Perhaps it’s time you informed your allies of the plans we’ve devised to ensure their precious Kita’s safety. Do keep in mind, Kisuke, that my cooperation has its limits. I will fulfill my part of the arrangement, but should circumstances force my hand, the consequences will be yours to bear.” With that, Aizen’s form began to dissolve into the shadows, his final words lingering in the air. “Make sure you keep Kita safe. The line between cooperation and conflict is a thin one.”

Kisuke leaned back in his chair, eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and contemplation as he sifted through his notes and new research on the Hōgyoku. “Ah, Aizen, always with his dramatic flair,” he mused to himself, a faint smile playing on his lips.
“He’s got a point about the need for vigilance, though. Kita’s safety is paramount, and the web of allies and enemies surrounding her is as intricate as ever. I suppose it’s up to me to navigate these treacherous waters and keep all the pieces in play. Well, if anyone can turn a potential disaster into an opportunity, it’s me.”

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: The ChaosEpisode 520 "Forge": Vacanze sat in Urahara's lab, finally tackling the task he should have completed two weeks ago—forging arrowheads. He thought of another who should have been by his side, crafting a wedding ring for the love of his life. But from what Urahara had shared after returning from Kita's home, Ichimaru was still in a funk. And who could blame him? He had faced more than his share of trials over the past decade—hell, the past century. He had nearly lost his life during the Winter War and survived the oppressive rule of the Soul Society, only to be thrust back into turmoil for a woman who wasn’t even the one he’d initially sought to avenge.
This was a new chapter in Gin Ichimaru's life, one that, if foretold, would have sounded absurd. Here he was, a family man with a son, a foster child, and a woman for whom he would traverse the depths of hell—and back. Kita had saved Ichimaru from the edge countless times, a fact Vacanze had lost count of, but it was a two-way street. Ichimaru had pulled her from darkness as well, even if her hands were still stained with blood. Vacanze doubted that even if he had remained in Las Noches, he could have stopped it; war has a way of consuming everyone, including those loyal to Aizen. The Takeover had left its mark on all of them, dragging even the innocent of the human realm into chaos. Most were blissfully unaware of the forces at play, interpreting the devastation as mere acts of God—though that wasn’t far from the truth.
Now, a new threat loomed—one capable of obliterating existence itself, from Soul Society to Karakura to Hueco Mundo. This menace could tear apart the world, or even the universe, and now Kita found herself caught in its crosshairs, thanks to Urahara’s meddling.
So, yes, Vacanze understood Ichimaru’s turmoil. He deserved a break, a chance to escape with his family, to leave the country behind. But Vacanze suspected that wouldn't last long; Urahara and Aizen had an uncanny knack for tracking down Ichimaru and Kita, as if they were implanted with tracking devices. Not that they were, of course. Vacanze, however, had always known where his Jewel was, thanks to the ring Ichimaru had asked him to forge years ago. As long as Kita wore that ring, he would always know her location. And if the ring ever went missing, he would find it to return it to her. It was the very connection Ichimaru had wanted—a bond that no one else could decipher.
And Ichimaru would have it as soon as he had cleared his head enough to take on the new challenge of forging the wedding ring he would finally place on his lover's finger.

Gin didn’t have a destination when he stormed out of the house, leaving Kita and the shopkeeper behind. When the little reporter had stirred up the storm of loss and regret inside him, he decided on a place to go. Not to heal. But to acknowledge what he’d taken away this time. To focus. To give himself a perspective to stand up again.
But this time, Gin wanted nothing to do with the source of the low burning fury inside him. He already despised the fact that Aizen had recognized the weight of this particular detail before him — that enough of his lessons still carried weight after he had walked away from him. However, dwelling on any words from the shopkeeper churned another kind of rage inside him. After one argument, he didn’t want to face it at all.
So why did he show at the shop, yanking the door to the lab open loud enough that anyone would hear, where the damn man could appear at any time? If he wanted to avoid him indefinitely, it would have been better to leave the realm altogether. Even for a short while. But Gin wouldn’t walk that far from Kita. Especially now.
That was it. The crux of the matter.
The tension in his shoulders faded yet again, and he chuckled. He waved a hand as he walked into the lab, closing the door. “Good to see you, V-man. Let’s see what I can learn this time. Before something else tears this house apart.”
