"You know what you said just now contradicted your statement before, which just adds to the lies you've been piling up." Gin walked forward, eyes narrowed in irritation. He held up his hand. "Allow me to break it down for you, you cheap card trick!"
First, you say she'll be safe in Las Noches." He pulled one finger down. "She's never been safe there. Aizen's messed with her head more times than I have fingers on one hand, and let's not even go into her breakdown at the hands of Vale." He folded another finger. "Two, you say she's served no purpose. She's only a vessel. If that's the case, then I would say her freedom is almost assured with the way the other 'vessel' has slipped away. Three, you say I have only seen a glimpse of Aizen's power. You forget who has nearly destroyed him not once but twice. The third time will be the last."
He pulled his hand down. "And finally," his eyes narrowed to slits. "you can't see all. Kita will NOT open the gate for Aizen. That's about as likely as it is for that bastard to manage to regain the 'real' Yumiko's heart back and marry her."

Koga laughed, his lavender eyes barely visible as he squinted. He lifted his hand, fingers spread. "I said her safety was guaranteed, only in the sense no physical harm would come to her." He folded his finger. "The human woman, she has always managed to come back, hasn't she? Willingly or by force, she still comes back." He folded another finger. "I said one victor will come from this, and that he would rise again. Haven't you died not once, but twice?" He lowered his hand and grinned. "And, finally, she will. Now, I apologize for my lack of specificity. It's rather boring to share everything." Koga bowed slightly and let the gargantua close, leaving the human woman, Ichimaru and Urahara's companion and son behind.

"Special Delivery":Once the espada Koga was gone with Orihime, Kita gave a sigh of relief. She hated seeing Orihime being drug back to that hell but she accepted it without a fight. So that meant Orihime was no longer the girl they all remembered. That broke Kita's heart and she knew Ichigo was not going to take well to this news. She looked down at Kenji and smiled softly kneeling down in front of him letting her hands glide from his shoulders to his forearms then taking his hands in hers. "Kenji can you do me a big favor?" He nodded slowly. "Can you go to your room and play while we get Yumiko ready for her trip to soul society?""Do I have to?" Kenji asked her.Kita nodded, "please. It would make me feel better knowing you're safe just encase something happens with one of the kido spells."Kenji sighed heavily and hugged Kita's neck. "Ok nee-chan." When he pulled from the hug he took off in a flash toward his room.Kita stood again and looked at Gin and Tessai. "Lets get her ready for her trip to soul society. I think she will be safer there than anywhere."

Gin and Tessai nodded. Tessa took off his reading glasses. “Then, if one of you will hold her off and another shield me, we can get this started.” He sighed. “I doubt she is going to quietly take this.”
Gin and Kita exchanged a look. Gin leaned down to kiss her cheek. “Shield Tessai. I will do the unpleasant task of manhandling her.” Kita nodded and Gin walked over to Yumiko’s barrier. She looked up from meditation, eye narrowed, the violet in her eyes hard as sapphires. He grinned widely. “Sorry, Hime, this might sting a bit.”
He looked to Kita who had taken a place behind Tessai. Tessai crossed his hands in a complicated shape and nodded his readiness. Gin took another step so he was right up against the barrier. Yumiko’s blade came up as did his.
“Go, Kita,” he whispered.
The barrier came down. Blood splattered as Yumiko’s Shinsou ripped his arm, and then she growled as Gin cut her hand and disarmed her in one fluid lightning strike. Before she could complete a kido, Tessai shouted out a word and a symbol flared from his hand, stopping her in his tracks.
Yumiko’s hands slowly clenched and Gin waited for any weakening in the kido as Tessai continued to chant. White strips of cotton rose up from a circle around her just as the first binding failed with Tessai blinking. Yumiko’s blast of white fire rose up into the rafters as Kita’s shield rose up, and Gin grabbed her around the waist with one hand, other hand pinning both of hers behind her back.
“Out of the way,” Tessai shouted.
Gin jumped and the white strips of cotton shot up around her legs and arms. She grunted and pulled against them as they continued to wrap around her, sanskrit appearing on the strips in golden lettering.
Gin dodged as a wordless Byakurai bolt shot towards him and narrowed his eyes as a crimson ball shot towards Tessai only to be stopped by Kita holding up her hand and catching it.

Yumiko fought against the kido that was wrapping around her, tears forming in her eyes in spite of her best efforts to keep it inside. She didn’t want to go back into the dark. She didn’t deserve it. An echo of a scream sent a white-hot stab of pain through her consciousness, mixing with that night of fire so many years ago. Yumiko bit her lip hard and struggled, even as the binding began to suck away her reiatsu. Again. She was crying and she didn’t care. She reached out for Mizue no Kagami, and as she felt her ring in her mind ….. succumbed to her prison.
“I’m sorry…” she whispered, as hands caught her, eyes glazed over. She didn’t know to whom she was apologizing.

Tears rolled down Kita's cheeks hearing Yumiko apologize for something that was clearly not her fault. She bit her bottom lips as it quivered her head shaking lightly. "Captain Ukitake will not put you back in the darkness, Yumiko. I promise you. He wants to help you as much as I do. Remember what I told you in the note. I am always there for you even when it seems like I am not. I am there."
Kita's tears flowed freely as she watched Tessai finish up the spell and Yumiko go weak in the knees. Gin grabbed her before she could hit the floor. Kita dropped her shield, and head at the same time drawing her hands to her face.
"This is not fair." She sobbed. "She should not have to suffer any more. Why? Why does life have to be so cruel?"

Tessai sighed as he got slowly to his feet. “A wise man once said that the strongest people are made that way not through hard work and luck but by experiencing many hard trials in life.” He set a hand on Kita’s shoulder. “Let us hope this will be one of those occasion where that rings true.” Walking over, he placed one more seal over Yumiko then indicated that Gin could put her down. Nodding, Gin slid Yumiko down to the ground and walked over to his partner, looking at her tear-streaked face before pulling her into a warm embrace. “It’s not your fault, dearie. Your actions will actually prevent more pain.” As Kita sniffed and buried her head in his chest, he stroked her hair. “Ukitake can heal her. He’s been with her from the beginning, and as you said, you are still there for her. That doesn’t have to end now either. Don’t give up hope.”
Tessai cleared his throat. “I will be back shortly. I worry about Kenji being alone long, so Gin and yourself, Kita, will stay. Within the protection of the shop.” Gin chuckled. “That’s true. I can’t really go there, not as one of the most wanted men. And wait, you don’t trust me?”
Tessai knelt down and pulled the limp unresponsive figure into his arms before standing. “He gets into all sorts of trouble on his own, and you get easily distracted,” the man said bluntly.
Gin scratched the back of his head. “Well then, we will see you soon.”
Tessai turned to the door. “Return to the basement where you are safest,” he instructed.A moment later, he was gone. Kita wiped her eyes and looked up into her lover's eyes. "You heard the man. Down to the basement. Kenji's probably worried." She laced her hand with Gin, physically asking for his support, and when he didn't pull away, tugged him down towards Kenji's room.

"Retaliation from Humanity's Shield Part Two: Clash!": (continue) Koga crept through the Shopkeeper's home, his reiatsu concealed. His movements so quick and light, he passed as merely a breeze. He crept along the the halls until he made his way to a room occupied by Ichimaru, the human woman Kita with the Urahara child, another Soul Reaper and the Kurosaki child. "That is a nasty wound, isn't it?" Koga smiled, quickly sonidoing over to the Urahara child. He grabbed the boy, picking him up by the face. "So, to which do you think he will bow first? The lifeless body of his father? Or, the rule of Aizen?" With the same swiftness that carried him throughout the shop, he moved out of the shop. He waved his hand, opening a garganta, sonidoing into to it and letting it close behind him.

"Resisting the Call of Fate":
The second Kenji was grabbed, Kita lunged at Koga, Gin grabbing her wrist stopping her flat. Her head jerked around with narrowed eyes looking at him. "Why did you stop me?! He has Kenji!"
"It's a trap, Pet. Think about it." Gin told her getting to his feet letting his grip on her wrist release. "I will go get him.""Not without me you won't!" Kita retorted. Gin turned and looked at her."No..." his tone firm.
"This is my fight too, not just yours. I am going--if you like it or not." Kita's tone just as firm as she stepped past him. He grabbed her again pulling her toward him.

“And how will the situation get better if Aizen gets ahold of you at this time?” Gin asked, tone firm, wrapping his arms around her to prevent her from escaping his hold. “Think for a moment, Kita. Soul Society is attacking with most of their strength. KIsuke and Vacanze is there. He wants us there as well.” He let her go again, kissing her forehead. “I will save Kenji, but I will not allow yourself to be dragged in, too. You’re pregnant, dearie. Vulnerable. Stay where you’re safe.”

Kita shook her head she was determined to go. She was not going to let him face this alone. She quickly grabbed his hand as he went to step away from her. "I don't want to lose you again. I will be fine. Please, I will grab Kenji and get out of there, but you have to promise me you will come back in one piece and not fighting the darkness again. Please Gin, Sumi is here to guard the shop and the others. Don't make me stay behind. You know I can take care of myself and you won't lose me. Not now. Not ever."
Her eyes begged him to let her go as well.

Gin's hand clenched as he considered Kita's words and then sighed, turning to face her. He took her face in his hands. “You can come if you promise to do two things. I am not going to lose you either. If you come, you will leave as soon as we get Kenji, but if you sense a trap closing on you, you will run and leave Kenji to me. Please.” His eyes voiced the emotion he was still uneasy voicing but to her. "Promise me this, or I will find a way to keep you here."

Kita smiled nodding to him. "I promise." Her hand tightened around his. "I will grab and go."Gin smiled at her shaking his head he knew if things got too crazy Kita would risk her life to protect him or any of her friends, but he took her word for leaving. Maybe the idea of protecting Kenji would be enough to get her out of there like he told her too. "Stay close to me." He told her as he tugged her forward opening the gate."I will try." Kita told him as the two stepped into the gate.Before the gate closed Sumi called out to both as they turned looking at her she spoke. "You will be limited in this fight against Aizen while I heal Karin. Her injuries are near fatal I need near all my power to save her or she will be lost to you all."Gin looked to Kita and sighed. Kita knew he was changing his mind about her going with him now. She shook her head at him her eyes telling him she was not staying behind. He sighed again pressing his lips to her forehead. When he pulled back he repeated his demands.
"You stay close to me and I mean it."Kita only smiled warmly at him. "I will do my best." her hand firmly squeezed his as they both turned and the gate closed behind them.

"Surge of Power and Fate":Silently Sumi sat with Lieutenant Namori and Tessai at the shop, her healing powers still flowing through the young girl. Tessai looked to the Goddess tension in her face as she looked down at Karin."You are worried about them are you not?" Tessai ask her. "I have no emotions to speak of to worry as you think I maybe. My concern only lies with the loss of my vessel. If she dies, I die and where would that leave this young girl if I were not here?"Tessai sighed as Kairo looked between them. "We can both help you heal her. Tessai and myself are both excellent healers." Kairo explained to her. "You would be able to return some of the power back to Ichimaru and Kita if you let us lend a hand, Goddess." Tessai told her. As the gate opened and the tear-stained face of Kita entered the room, Sumi's frown turned upward. The gate closed behind her and the Urahara child as Tessai and Kairo reanimated.
Sumi looked to the two men. Then back to Kita. "I am taking your powers away again, Kita.""What? Why?" Kita asked, still holding Kenji in her arms. "I am giving everything to Ichimaru." Sumi told her. "It's time to end this."
Kita looked at Sumi with wide eyes. "Everything?!" Sumi nodded, "but will Gin know?"Sumi grinned, "if he doesn't he is dead."
Kita narrowed her eyes at Sumi. "That's not funny.""He will know. Ichimaru is no idiot."Kita nodded as she watched Sumi nodded to Tessai and Kairo and the two took over in healing Karin. "Then lets do this." Sumi closed her eyes and released all her powers into Gin. "Kill him, Ichimaru. This will be your only chance."

Aizen was enraged the Goddess had peeked Gin's powers in the middle of battle. If it had not been for Koga and his last minute rescue he would be dead right now. Aizen moved quickly through the garguanta toward the shop. Now was his chance to kill not only the Goddess but Kita as well. He was growing weary of their games and interfering with his goal. He would kill them both then go back for the Snake, ending his life as well. With all the thorns removed his goal would be easy to obtain once more. It would just be the matter of getting his hands on the unconcealed Hougyoku once more. Something he could do after finishing off the two that were causing him more issues than he ever encountered; even with the annoying Shopkeeper.
The gate opened just outside the room that Kita and the Goddess occupied, the ones on the other side of the wall ducking and covering the weaker as the wall ripped away from the side of the shop. Aizen glared at the ones sitting in the room. His eyes narrowed as they landed on the Goddess.
His sword came up pointing at Kita. "It is time for your vessel to die."
