Gin froze in the void as he felt a spike of fear. Kita! Sumi’s powers soared through him as he opened a gate and appeared behind Kita, hearing the tale-end of Aizen’s threat. His eyes narrowed to slits. No. The snake froze time and pulled Kita to another room with Kenji. Reappearing in the main room, time resumed.
The snake stared into his former master’s blackening eyes. “Farewell, Aizen-san,” he hissed.
Gin’s reiatsu peeked and curled around him, eyes icy cerulean with power, and he called on his Bankai. Pouring the power into Shinsou, something like regret passed in his eyes. Only for a moment. Both blades clashed. Kyoka Suigetsu broke and Shinsou arched slicing Aizen’s sword arm off before returning for the other. Gin smirked in sadistic delight and tore into his former master, long bloody slashes into his torso, raining blood on both of them. His ribs showed through. Gin lurched forward and grabbed Aizen’s heart.
“This. is. the. end. Captain.”
End of your life and this chapter on my life . . . .

Aizen's eyes widened as he watched Gin lift his heart from his chest. He grabbed at him as he stumbled back from the Snake reaching out with his other hand he grabbed his still beating heart from Gin. "You--Snake Bas-- bastard." Aizen clutched at his chest stumbling into the fence in the yard as he slid down the stone wall. He looked to his broken sword on the ground his eyes then slowly moving up from there to Gin's face. Aizen smirked taking a harsh breath. "I will be back--and when I do." Aizen coughed, "I will kill you and everyone you love, Ichimaru. Everyone---" As Aizen's head nodded falling forward a garguanta opened, Koga darting out grabbing Aizen and his broken sword. Before Gin could react Koga and Aizen were gone, the gate closing quickly behind them. ~ END RP ~ "The King Intervenes":

"End of a Journey; Hope of a New Beginning":
Gin looked down at the bloody spot his master - his defeated master - had lain while making his last threat. It was over, finally over…. Centuries of blood, carnage, lies, betrayal….. it was all over. He looked up into the sky, his signature smile still on his face as the long past washed over him. The screams, the taunts, the bloodlust, burying his emotions…. He walked over to the spot and looked down. He closed his eyes. He had not failed another person he cared about. But why did he feel so lost now?

Kita walked back in the room feeling the tension settle around the shop. When she entered she saw Gin as he dropped to his knees in a pool of blood. Blood she assumed was Aizen's. Was it over? Was it really over? But where was Aizen's body? Did he fade away to nothing? Was he taken back by one of his Espada? Where did Aizen's body disappear to? She looked around outside of the room of what she could see and saw nothing.
Laying the still unconscious Kenji down next to Karin, Kita jumped out the side of the room where Aizen has ripped into the shop. She quickly went to Gin side approaching him with caution as she hesitantly reached out to touch his shoulder.
"Gin..." his name spoken barely above a whisper.
When he turned quickly looking at her Kita startled and jerked her hand back a tear rolling down her cheek when she saw his pain ridden eyes.

“It’s over,” Gin croaked, reaching out to her. As her hand wrapped around his own, his fingers tightened painfully around it, his body beginning to shake. All the atrocities he had- had committed … they had finally led to an end. The end he’d been working towards. Aizen’s death … but not his own. He had not died with the master who had forged him into a man of strength, power, and purpose. Where his future had turned to for so long. Gin Ichimaru had not died.
Gin looked down at his bloody hands, recalling Aizen’s heartbeat. For once, the kill wasn’t satisfying. He could feel the bloodlust and the delight inside him at defeating an enemy, but that wasn’t all. More was bleeding through. And he could admit to the other feelings now.
The irrevocable truth. This death was no redemption from his past. It only tied him more firmly to the darkness inside him. He would never ever be free of it.
How could one like he be given life? A new chance? It wasn’t …. right.
Could he cling to Kita…. and Soji? Could he?

Kita watched him in his turmoil his hand clenched tightly around hers. She wanted to take him in her arms and make it all go away, but she knew that was impossible. She knew that no matter how much she forgave Gin it would not matter. It had to come from within him. It had to come from the ones he hurt, the ones he did wrong to. She could not heal him only help him down the path if he still wanted to be on it.
Was she wrong in taking him from the darkness? Was she wrong in taking him from Aizen's side? Looking into his eyes and seeing the pain written so clearly there she was starting to doubt if what she has done was the right thing for Gin. She lowered her eyes from him looking to the pool of blood on the ground. Aizen was an evil, cruel and ruthless man, but it was still a life. No matter how evil he was. He was someone. She looked back up at Gin. He was someone to the man standing before her.
Her tears flowed more freely. "I am sorry." She bit at her bottom lip. "I am so sorry."

Gin didn’t respond, only pulled her closer, nuzzling into her stomach, to the life she had made with him. “I wanted his death. I did,” he murmured. “It is not your fault.” He stayed curled into her warm body, fighting against the shivers wracking his own. “You’re not allowed to apologize for any of this.”
I did this to myself. I couldn’t push you away. You were too beautiful. I couldn’t walk away from my past with my master when given the chance. And when demanded, I fell to the embrace of the darkness inside me. Yet I chose to make my path more difficult and accepted a promise. To protect you. In the deepest dark, there was you, and in the end, I doomed myself to the torment of both worlds.
“None of this is your fault, my love, Kita- Miyamoto.”
He took a shuddering breath and lifted his haggard head, tugging her down to his level. “I love you…" he breathed, kissing her softly. “I love Soj-“
The light disappeared from his eyes and he fell forward into her arms, clinging there, trying to stay afloat. “Find another smile…. while I am gone. Promise?”
“Gin…”
“Don’t suffer… anymore, dearest light of my-“
Gin passed out and Shinsou fell from his hands.

"Gin..." Kita shook him lightly. "Gin..." her voice raised slightly when he did not respond. "GIN!" Still nothing, "GIN!" Her voice almost a scream as she still shook him. "GINNNN!" She wailed into the silence of the night.
Kita started to panic as she pulled Gin closer to her lifting his dead weight into her arms as his head tipped back over her arm. "NO! Gin!" She patted his cheek lightly. "Please don't leave me! Not now! GIN!"
Kita bawled as she lowered her face to his chest clenching on to his bloody haori. "Please don't leave me."

Gin didn’t respond but someone else did. A light flared up from Shinsou and the kitsune appeared in front of Kita. “He’s not gone, light of my master’s soul.” The kitsune wrapped his tails around himself and looked down at the form of his limp master. As Kita’s tear-streaked face looked up at him, he scratched his ragged ear.Kita looked at Shinsou her eyes quickly going back to Gin as she cupped his cheek. "W...what's wrong?""It was too much for him," the kitsune replied, "the weight of the end of his long, lonely, bloody journey - the killing of a man who was father, mentor, friend, and his true nemesis - that and a path to happiness, something he never wished for himself, before. As a creature who balances light and darkness, the loss of that balance was too much." He looked down at his sword. "He must find it again."Tears streamed down her cheeks as she rested her forehead against his. Her hand still rested against his cheek. "So I lost him yet again. To a darkness I can't not fight against this time." She kissed his cheek lightly pulling him close to her holding him tightly. "Do you know..." she stopped short shaking her head. "Of course you don't." She looked back at Shinsou. "Tell me Shinsou. Was I right? Was what I did right for Gin?"Shinsou tilted his head at her, much the same way his master would. "You gave Gin purpose beyond revenge and death, Kita. That should answer your question." The kitsune walked over to his master and looked down at the pale form again. "He's gone within himself to start to learn how to step forward. He won't be gone forever, and your connection with him remains."Kita would not let Gin go as Tessai stepped up to them. He rested his hand to Kita's shoulder kneeling next to her. "Let me take him to his room, Kita." She shook her head fiercely. "Not yet!" She cried out. She held tightly to Gin and cried against him. "Hurry back my love. Sojiro and I need your strength."Shinsou looked to the woman who had claimed his master's heart even more than the redheaded beauty of his childhood. "Look for him in your dreams and the dark of the night," he called out in parting, disappearing back to his sword. His final words echoed into her mind, warming her against the grief stirring inside her. "You've touched his inner realm, Kita. You will never be alone." ~ END RP ~ "The King Intervenes II":

"Aftermath at the Shop":It was a long a trying battle, many casualties on both sides were taken, and it was hard to determine who won. To Vacanze is was a loss for them because Aizen still lived and the palace still stood for the most part. Nothing he saw of this battle came to reality. The only good thing was Loki was going to die. He looked to the listless Shopkeeper and sighed, but at what cost. He forced his eyes forward again as they walked from the gate onto the shop's property. Vacanze was aided by Ichigo as the two helped Kisuke along from being weakened having Loki trapped in the Bloody coffin. The shopkeeper was growing weaker by the minute and needed some place to finally rest his head. Not that it would help, but it was better then dragging his poor listless body from place to place just to make the big guys happy. The Commander Kyoraku and Captain Ukitake walked in front of them. Lieutenant's Abarai and Kuchiki walked behind them as the group entered the shop. Ichigo helping Vacanze take Kisuke to his room as Lieutenant Namori came walking from another room joining them. He looked at Ichigo and smiled. "Your sister is resting. She is doing very well considering." Vacanze ran his fingers through his bright red hair. "That's good to hear I was worried about her myself. That was a bad hit she took." He gritted his teeth his other hand tightening into a fist. "That bastard new Espada needs his head removed for that."

Ichigo nodded, eyes narrowed. Letting his hollow side take over had nearly made him forget about what had originally led him to that decision. As Rukia came over and nudged him hard in the ribs, he looked back up at the Tsukiro’s lieutenant. “I’m - glad,” he muttered, wincing as Rukia hit him yet again. He groaned and lifted his head, scratching his head. “Thank you for helping her.”

Kairo nodded, chuckling at the way Lieutenant Kuchiki was walking all over the substitute. He hadn’t really believed it when he’d heard that detail from his friend. The group around the room looked exhausted, frustrated, angry, or just drained. He smiled and stepped back as Tessai came in with the tea. “Commander, I have something to report.”
The captain commander looked up from under his hat. “Yes, Lieutenant Namori?”
Kairo knelt on one knee. “I report that the scourge of the Realms, Sousuke Aizen, is dead,” he stated quietly.
Silence blanketed the room. Shunsui rose to his full height. “How can you be certain of this fact, Lieutenant?”
“Kita Miyamoto, Tessai, and myself were all witnesses to his final confrontation with Gin Ichimaru. He died by that man’s hands. However ….”
Kairo stopped speaking as Kita entered the room, smiling weakly in spite of her tear-streaked face. In one hand, she held Shinsou.

Her smile quivered tears in her eyes as she held Shinsou to her chest. "Yes, Gin killed Aizen, but..." her head lowered. "Shinsou told me Gin had retreated into himself. The weight of the end of his long, lonely, bloody journey..." She sniffled. "of killing the man who was more than just his true nemesis. His path to happiness, something he never wished for, for himself. Gin lost the balance between the darkness and the light and it was too much for him." She dropped to her knees her head still hung.
"He is in a coma." She sniffled again. "I have lost him yet again."

Renji walked over kneeling in front of Kita taking her in his arms. Pulling her close to him he reached for Shinsou to take him from between them. Shinsou shocking Renji; however, it did not phase Kita in the slightest. He glowered at the sword and held Kita close to him the best he could to comfort her.
"Its over Kita. Its finally over. You're free from Aizen as are the rest of us. Please don't cry. I thank Ichimaru for what he has done, but don't waist your tears over him. I watched Rangiku do it for centuries. I don't want to watch you do the same over this man. He owed us this much for the hell he put us all through."
With Renji's words Shinsou lashed out again this time knocking him back from Kita. Renji growled and got up his eyes narrowed as he looked at the sword. "Too bad your ass is not in a coma with him. One is as dangerous as the other."

“Renji, now is not the place or the time,” Juushiro stated quietly but sternly. The warning was clear. The lieutenant opened his mouth before closing it and scratching his head, cursing beneath his breath. The captain moved over to Kita and set a hand on her shoulder, smiling gently at her. “May I?” he ask, indicating Shinsou.
Kita nodded and handed the zanpakuto over to him.
Juushiro looked closely at the blade before returning it to Kita. He pulled her into a hug and then pulled back. “Shinsou is very much alive and alert, Kita, unlike Tobuime, HInamori’s zanpakuto, who felt as distant to us as her master when she slipped into her coma. And if you want to wait for him, Ichimaru will return; however, I hope you won’t put your life or the life of your child on hold while he is gone.” He kissed her forehead. “That man went through hell for his revenge. One day it would come back to him if he had any piece left of the heart Lieutenant Matsumoto loved so dearly.”
