Kita started to sob as she looked upward. "Why? Why did you take him from me?" Her questions but a whisper. "My only support and you rip him away from not only me but his son. What did I do for you to take away my life, my heart and my love?"
She fell back against the walls covering her face with her hands as she cried softly. Suddenly an anger washed over her, she bent over pulling off the only thing she had handy to throw and removed her shoe. She threw it with all her might hitting Gin in the back of the head with it as he walked away.
"Don't talk to me about fire! You lost yours before I lost mine! The old Gin would have killed to keep me at his side and safe! Now your just a big pussy!!" She glared at the back of his head as he stopped in place not moving or saying a word.

Gin’s eyes narrowed as she screamed at him, screamed at him and called him a coward. He’d mostly forgotten about the audacity of throwing a shoe. When she finally stopped speaking, he turned around. Slowly.
“You’re in Las Noches, dearie. The rules are different, as I have tried to explain to you before this.” He walked towards her again. “Tell me, Kita, what do you mean by the Goddess taking away your life? You’re still breathing. Your heart? It’s still beating, rather loudly, too. You’re even crying like every other emotional woman. And your love?” he spat, standing in front of her again. “If you loved me as you continue to claim when we are alone, you would have never let Tervaden brand you with this fucking chain!”
His hand fisted in her clothes, wrapping and tugging on the accursed item affixed to her body. Kita bowed, closing her eyes. And Gin glared at the low moan that escaped and let it go.
He seized her by her hair instead.
“You’re the one who put yourself at the mercy of these new rules, dearie. If you have problem with them,” he kissed her harshly, pushing her backwards in another instant, “then fucking change them.”
His azure eyes gleamed. Demanding an answer. Even as he threw her away from his person again.

Kita glared at him as she looked up into his eyes. "Bullshit! You have never lived by the rules! Here or anywhere! You pushed me away with your actions! Vale being pissed off took vengeance for what you, Aizen and myself did with Yumiko by raping me! He then removed me from your side! But you didn't fight for me! You let him take me! YOU LET HIM TAKE ME!!"
Her head lowered as she looked to the floor. "Your wife. Your light," she looked back up at him. "Your heart and your love. You let him take me from you. Why?"

Gin’s eyes stayed on the top of her head. Silent for a good few moments. “You keep saying that, but it’s over, isn’t it?’ Kita’s head snapped up. “I broke our vows. I lost my balance. Then I let you go,” he murmured. Looking into her dark blue eyes, his eyes softened, even as his whisper was harsh. “And the goddess ripped my memories from me. ”
He turned around again. “Throw another shoe at me, dearie. I will do what I have to. But maybe,” he paused, “maybe the reason the goddess tore us apart was to keep us alive. And to sharpen our blades for some …. distant wish.”

Kita's eyes stayed lowered as he turned away from her again. "Did she? ... No... This is different." Her hand spread across the flat of her stomach as her heart wrenched in her chest. She looked up watching Gin as he walked away slowly. "Was Vale right? Do you...do you only love me for what I could and did do for you? You walk away so easily. Just like you did with Rangiku, but you never stopped loving her. Never." Her eyes cast down again.
"Why didn't you pick me that day?" She looked back up at him as he now stood in place once more. "You picked her. You pick Rangiku to die that day. Why? Why not me? If you would have killed me it would have been over. It would have ended that day. You pushed me away for so many years. You tried to make me hate you. You told me you were no good for me and I would regret never breaking my vow to you in being your friend. You remember your love for her, right? So why? Why did you spare me and not the woman you remember loving so dearly? When all I was was an annoyance to you from the very beginning."
She let her head fall to the wall behind her as she looked upward. "Why did you not kill me that day?" Her eyes closed her body giving out from under her as she dropped to the floor as if someone shoved her downward, her arms folding around her legs, her head resting to bent knees. "It would have been over."
Her body started to tremble as she started to cry again. "How do you forget a love like we shared?" She whispered so softly.

Before she could completely collapse, Gin was again near her. His arm wrapped around her chest from behind, steadying her before she could fall any further. “This really isn’t the place to fall apart, dearie, or ask those questions so loudly, but then again,” he hesitated and then lifted her into his arms, a new grin lifting his lips, “you never were good at keeping quiet. And for some reason, I like that.” Kita was silent, her body trembling and curled up. Gin’s smile fell again. “Really, you never give up.” He turned and headed towards his rooms. “And you have a fever, though I think you could care less about that.”
For another few moments, it was quiet but for Kita’s sobbing. Guilt welled up inside the crevices of his heart.

"The Last Six Months": (continued) A wall slid backwards to reveal a hidden door as Gin walked out of another secret passage. Wearing his usual wide grin, he closed the door behind him and continued down the current hallway, white haori spreading out behind him.
Six months had passed since Tervaden had destroyed his rooms in another display of power. After which, he had tried to rebuild his domain a few times, only to find each little piece of progress torn down by fire, blade, fists, or all of the above. It was obvious that the Wolf did not want such a fortress restored into his hands. Though why he would worry with the power of two gods under his thumb, Gin had no idea.
However, Gin didn’t really need the answers. He continued his little projects of rebuilding in spite of Tervaden’s destruction for his own personal amusement more than anything. It had been so long since anyone had so blatantly disliked him. Since the Brat actually. But he wasn’t stupid. He poked and prodded all, but it would be folly to push the growing shadow that Tervaden had become too far.
Though the Wolf would never trust him.
Tervaden might consider them rivals. Even go so far to declare himself to be the Snake's Master. Gin let him believe what he wanted.
There was one small annoyance on Gin’s part as far as the Wolf and his stretching control. That was the fact that Kita, who had always been an interesting phenomena in Las Ncohes, was knocked up again and off limits. And before that, she had scurried to hide behind Tervaden of all people. Gin wondered why. Was it because the man had lured the noble beauty into the darkness? Or because she preferred Tervaden’s way of play to his own?
Gin didn’t know yet LOVED putting questions to the vessel, pushing her buttons, something he had unfailing talent for until she slammed him into a wall.
But he probably would have put less effort into her discomfort if she hadn’t run away from Las Noches when she had been carrying his child. Sneaking away like that had left a mark against her.
Aizen had dragged her and his son back, and the boy had promise. And spirit. Gin found himself intrigued. He had come from nothing but dirt and tears. But those pale eyes sometimes had the same sharpness. Taunting the world.
He chuckled, turning around. He might not have his fortress, but he had built the maze and he had riddled Las Noches in passages for his personal use before Aizen had departed for a time. Let them spy on him in the control room and watch for him in the shadows.
This was all a game and he loved it.
And speaking of games, it was time to find his son and resume his training. Fade

"Blood Ties": (continued) They walked in silence for a good ten minutes, Sojiro wanting to be sure they were both away from Ichimaru, the source of her temper, and that she had calmed. He needed to talk to her before they got near to their rooms in Tervaden’s chambers. He did NOT want him joining in this conversation.
Stroking her hand in his, Sojiro chuckled, a sting of nostalgia spreading through him. It really didn’t seem that long since he had been smaller than her and clinging to her hand. Now, he was taller than her and still growing. Sometimes, that was still a little weird.
“Feeling better?” he asked.

Kita looked up into her sons loving eyes, "I always feel better when I am with you. You're the light that keeps me grounded here. I hate that you had to be drug into this, but glad you're here with me."
She side stepped slightly playfully bumping into him, he did not move as he chuckled at her. "When did you get so tall?" She chuckled softly looking to the floor at her feet as they walked, "I always knew you would get as tall as him, but I never dreamed you would look so much like him."

“My father, you mean?” Sojiro probed. When Kita nodded and continued to look away, he frowned. Squeezing her hand, he tugged her to a stop. “Mom, I know you might not want to tell me, but considering how I look and the situation we’re in - that isn’t going away - is he-” He halted and sighed. Now he was the one avoiding it. Daichi poked up from his place in his kimono. Smiling slightly, Sojiro continued. “Is Ichimaru my father?”

Kita sighed, but a small smile spread across her face as she looked at Sojiro again. "Yes, Gin Ichimaru is your father. At first we believed Aizen was your father because--" Kita fell short not wanting to tell him why. She quickly changed the subject.
"Sumi informed me that you were Gin's child. When I told him I was carrying his child and not Aizen's he seemed pleased. He even helped me pick out your name, but then--" Kita shook her head not finishing her story. "I am sorry I did not tell you this."

Sojiro shrugged. “It’s alright. Considering how you feel about him, I’m not really surprised about that.” He fell silent, head cocking to the side before looking at her again. “Mom…. Sorry, but I have to know.” His voice stayed even and calm. “Did he hurt you often?”

A tear rolled down her cheek, her head still turned from his gaze. "At first. It seemed to be never ending." She then chuckled softly wiping away the tear before she looked at him. "There use to be a window in the room he kept me in. I escaped one day. Out that window. I made it to the Soul Society and was there for awhile until they found me. I was brought back to Las Noches and it started all over again." She stiffened remembering that night of hell with Gin and Aizen both having their way with her.
More tears found their way down her cheeks as she continued still looking at her son as they faced one another. "They punished me daily; or at least that is what it felt like. No sooner then I was healed they were going at me again. Either sexually or just beating me to near death." She fell silent, "Gin almost killed me one day. If it were not for Izuru I would be dead." She sniffled and looked into her sons eyes. "That was when Vacanze truly turned against them. He helped Sumi heal me after that beating." She shook her head slowly.
"But it did get better and Gin did treat me well later on. It got to the point he only messed with me if Aizen ordered it. Though he did have a problem with keeping his pants on with me."
She giggled softly as Sojiro's cheeks turned bright red. "Sorry. Too much information?"

Sojiro chuckled and nodded quickly, wiping his face with his sleeve before embracing and holding his mother close. “Thanks for telling me at last,” he whispered. His arms tightened around her, momentary amusement fading again as another question popped up in his mind. “Sorry, but... Can I ask another one?” He asked. When she nodded, he took a deep breath. “Did I make things worse by being around? For you?”

Kita's heart clenched in her chest and without hesitation she shook her head quickly both her hands coming up and catching his face between them. "NEVER! I was very happy knowing I was having you. Even with the way you were conceived weighting heave on my heart. I knew you would be a wonderful person. I was just scared people would look down on you for who your father was and how you came about. I guess that is why I kept it so hush hush. Even from you."
She embraced Sojiro tightly in her arms. "I love you more than life itself and I will protect you with every fiber of my being. Never think you were or are a burden to me, because you were never such a thing. You are the light of my life and always will be."
Just then, Kadaj moved in the womb. Sojiro feeling it as well as his mother held him close to her. The two parted slightly looking down at her stomach as they both chuckled softly. Letting a hand caress over her stomach, Kita smiled and spoke to the infant inside her.
"Yes, as are you little Kadaj. Both you and Sojiro are the light of my life." She looked up to Sojiro again cupping his cheek once more as she let her thumb caress his cheek gently, her other hand still on her stomach. "My boys. My life. I love you both more than you will ever know."
Sojiro smiled brightly at her as he hugged her again. At that moment Sojiro's stomach rumbled. Taking his hand in hers Kita started their path once more toward the Third tower. It was time to get her boy something to eat.
