Rangiku spun on him eyes narrowed fists balled at her side as a tear rolled down her cheek. "Why did you kill me!?" She screamed at him.
Gin looked up at her quickly his eyes narrowing again. "I told you. That wasn’t the damned choice he gave me!” He spat again then looked away growling under his breath. "Just leave!" He yelled at her with a gesturing jerk of his arm.
"NO!" Rangiku stomped toward him grabbing his wrist, jerking him around to look at her. "WHY. DID. YOU. KILL ME!?"

Gin’s lips distorted into a smiling sneer. “Yer a fool if yer want to know!” he snarled, ripping himself free of her. “I was half mad with bloodlust and fury from my master’s words, sick with fear of death which has always whispered in my fucking ear since I was but a child, and I needed Kita! I needed ‘er more than you!” he screamed into her face.
He spun around, energy spiraling in his hand and he slammed his hand into the wall. It imploded, leaving a wide hole. “Happy now?” he croaked. “Fucking satisfied now?”

Rangiku smiled and crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at him. "Yes, I am, and I knew that." Her satisfied and upbeat tone caused Gin to turn and look at her. A confused look in his eyes and on his face.
"One more question."
Gin's eyes narrowed once more at her as his hand balled into a fist. "What? Now."
"Why are you still here?"

Gin stared at her. Really stared at her. “Are you mad?” he asked.
“Not really, no,” she chirped. Like a little bird. “Why are you still here?”
Gin blinked, then blinked again, before turning his head away. “Why are you asking me that, Ran?” he breathed. “You know what happened…"

Rangiku lifted her hand to her chin and tapped her fingertip against it as her eyes looked upward like she was in thought. "Hm? They got married. They say she is happy." She looked back to Gin a defeated look on his face.
She sighed and stepped toward him both her hands taking his hands into hers. "I have been gone for a long time. There is a lot I don't know of what happen and I am sure you don't want to sit here for the next month and tell me what it was that happen." She released one of his hands and cupped his cheek as she looked into his eyes. "But one thing I do know and remember very well." She paused and smiled warmly at him.
"You love her and she loves you. You just have to remind her of that."

Gin was silent again, looking into her sparkling eyes, as her strong warm tone bolstered his fraying soul. When had she gotten so confident? And brave? But then again, she had been brave for a while. She was still his friend. After, after everything. He closed his eyes and then wrapped his arms around her.
“Ran…” he let out a breath, not really able to say anything that wouldn’t strip this moment away. His hold tightened and then he let her go. Stepping back. His eyes were still shimmering beneath his bangs.
“I can’t ruin her future for mine…. if she is happy with - with him. Ran…. she… they have a kid. A baby. I never…. If she wants him….” He lowered his head again, hiding his eyes, his hands clenching once more. “The cat says she’s happy.”
Could he really step over those words? and their meaning?
For the one thing he wanted?

Rangiku sighed shaking her head slightly. "So you are just going to let her go?" She looked up at him. "All those years you fought to protect her. All those years she fought for you as much as you fought for her. Are you really wiling to let all that slip away without finding out for yourself? What if she is lying to them just so they won't worry? I am sure while you were gone they worried day and night about her. Maybe she is doing this just to keep them from worrying about her." She cupped his cheek once more and smiled warmly.
"You don't have to rush off to see her now. She don't even know you're back, but before you just walk away." Her eyes widened as she cocked her head, "like you did with another. Maybe you need to talk to her. At least you will get closure and won't wonder the rest of your life 'What IF?'."

Gin stared at her as she spoke on and even had the gall to tease him about what he had done with her - all in the name of what he had with Kita. Not with what he had had with her. But the dazzling, throbbing ache for that raven-haired siren. He straightened and batted his friend’s hands away. “You’re going to make someone very strong someday, Ran….” he murmured.
He reached behind him and opened the closet, tipping out a drawer and letting a small packet fall to the ground. He picked it up, opened it, and tipped a small seed into his hand. He tossed into his mouth, chewed slowly, and tossed her the rest of the package.
“For luck. And … welcome back.”
Dried persimmons. Their first treat. In the dark world.
“Dontcha go dyin' on anyone agin, either, Ran. Yer stayin' alive."

Rangiku took what he offered her, popping it in her mouth as she started to chew then chuckle lightly. "I don't plan on dying for a very long time." She playfully punched him in the arm. "It's my turn to have kids and be happy once and for all, so I can make you a God Uncle. Make you feel old for once."
Gin blinked a few times and then grinned. "Then better find yerself a man soon, sparrowhawk. I already have a son that's grown up. And I will have another when the time is right!" His eyes gleamed. "When this game is over~"
Her head titled again giving him a serious look. "Which game is that? Aizen's or his new henchmen?"
"Both." Gin told her as they both shared a chuckle between them.
"And who is to say I didn't already have a guy before I vacated this place for a bit? Hm?" She smiled slyly at him.

Gin folded his arms with a devious grin. “Then you had better show him to me or I would have to call you on your little bluff, Rangiku Matsumoto.” It was her turn to blink at him, trying to recover her footing. One side of his lips lifted higher. “Well? Do you at least have a name? Or do I regulate you to a smaller bird~?”She laughed. "I did not say I did, but I do have one in mind I was thinking of hooking up with before I was swept away to Las Noches for the surprise of my life." Her eyes widened as she stared at nothing. "Literally..." she then started to giggle softly as she made eyes contact with Gin once more. Her look softened her smile saddening. "We would have been good together..." she said no more afraid she would start crying.Gin smiled back and walked back over to her, wiping at her cheek. "I'm sorry, Ran... I would have told you... if I could. But.... you were all I had that was real. Until.... until I nearly died and then... Kita appeared." Ran sniffed and laid her head on his chest. Gin raised his hand to her hair, stroking her waves, letting her cry. "Thank you, Ran. For being a better person than I am."
And showing me a dream to reach for. Someday.

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: Deep RenewalEpisode 305 "Promise Kept": Kita blinked a few times, her body feeling light and even a little tingly. She was standing in the middle of Gin's room at Urahara Shop. Home. At least home over 15 years ago, and it was in one piece. Why? Why was she there and where was everyone else? Was this an illusion? Did Aizen release Kyoka Suigetsu? Was she dreaming? Why was Gin not there with her? Her heart clenched tightly in her chest. Was he dead? Did he get killed in the on going battle for their freedom?
The last thing she remembered was Vale taking her to the underground hideout in the Soul Society, then left to get Sojiro and--Kadaji--their son of two days old. She shook her head her hand lifting as he rubbed her temple.
"I must have fallen asleep." She spoke softly in the silence of the room.
She had to be dreaming. She reached out and picked up a pillow that was on Gin's bed. She lifted it and placed it to her face, and breathed in its scent. Her eyes closed for only a second as her body felt like it was melting. It smelled just like him. Why did everything felt so real for being a dream. Was Sumi or Alister about to step out from nowhere and confront her. Though she could not understand why they would even call on her like this.
Suddenly she felt the surge of energy as Yoruichi and Tessai's reiatsu filled the shop. Then there was her son Sojiro's and his two day old baby brother, Kadaji. Yumiko and then from a distance she felt Kisuke's and her little brother Kenji. Even the Kurosaki family could be felt. She waited...
She did not move. Only waited...It felt like she stood there for hours, but it never came. Gin's reiatsu never appeared. More questions filled her head, her heart even heavier, but she shook it off when she heard her youngest cry out for her from downstairs.
She could not worry them, so she put on a smile, and walked from Gin's room, headed down the steps to see her two sons.Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: Deep RenewalEpisode 315 “Family”: (continued) Kita sat on the bedside brushing her long, raven, hair after a nice hot and relaxing shower with Gin. It had been a while since the two had spent any time together. Especially without interruption. Feeling the bed move behind her she smiled, knowingly.
"Feel better?" She questioned placing her brush on the bedside table and turned to look at the man that joined her in their bed--that was an odd thought for her since there was no bed that was just theirs. Until now.
She smiled warmly at him, almost a tear in her eye as she looked at him wearing the smile that was reserved only for her. Reaching out to her, he rested his hand on her knee, her hand going to the top of his as she caressed his hand tenderly. "You know how much I love you, right?" Gin couldn’t help but chuckle at the nostalgic confession that slipped from her lips yet again and leaned over to kiss her in lieu of replying immediately. It was difficult to hold onto melancholy with her glowing happiness before him. Tricky to worry about the precarious future that awaited them in the next few days when she was so tantalizing close with nothing to keep them apart. Nearly impossible to keep from hoping that he deserved something more at the end of it all with each endearing sigh. He’d never have enough of her. “Every day, dearie,” he purred, keeping her close, “and even if I forget, I'll remember. That's why you can't get rid of me.She giggled softly moving closer to him as he tugged her closer. "I can't believe it's over," she could not stop the overly joyous smile that tugged at the corners of her lips. "No more Las Noches, no more Espada, hollows, Ayakashi, Alister, Vale or--" her eyes went wide as she quickly sat up, her heart now racing as it pounded with fear in her chest.
It couldn't be. It was very weak, but it was undeniably Aizen's reiatsu and it was close. Much too close for her comfort. She leaped from the bed not getting too far as Gin caught her in his arms. She buried her face in his chest as hot tears started rolling down her cheeks.Gin’s arms tightened around her quaking form, Shinso naked in one hand. His eyes shifted between the bassinet with the child in it and the doorway. As the baby with her eyes started to fuss, he made his decision, azure eyes sharp as diamonds. “He may be immortal, dearie, but I will cut him into a million pieces.” Kita shook her head furiously. “No!” she screamed, pulling away to grab his arms, shaking him and making him look at her. “He can’t touch me, but the gods said nothing about you.” Gin’s eyes narrowed as she started trembling more at his idea. This needed to end, and this was always his path. “The damn gods made me immortal, too, and my powers are still free. I can handle him.” “No!” Kita shouted again. She pushed free of his embrace. “I don’t care about that!” She cupped his face in her hands. “I told you before that they don’t get to hurt you anymore, love. I won’t let you go out there like this! Not unless I am going with you." “You’ve got another kid.” “We have another kid and he’s not going to grow up alone.” Her head dropped. “Last time we reached this stage, I lost you, Gin, for too long.” She wrapped her arms around herself. “I- I can’t do that again. Please…” For a few moments, it was silent, precious minutes ticking away, the oppressive signature both loathed moving closer. Gin’s reiatsu continued to rise… Then, Gin reached out for her wrist. When she looked up, his reiatsu faded and he pulled her back into his arms, setting his head on top of her hair. Shinso shimmered in one hand, but his other moved to her hand, taking it. “If he comes into this room, dearie, all bets are off.” She giggled hoarsely. “I’ll race you to it.” Gin nodded. For a few moments more, the burn to attack ate away at him, his instincts and thirst warring within him, pushing him to act, to finally destroy. Gin turned his head into Kita’s hair, staying right where he was. Waiting. Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: Deep RenewalEpisode 322 "Emotionally Drained": (continued) Kita entered the room stopping in the doorway, a soft smile crossed her lips as a soft giggle escaped her. It smelt of baby powder and Gin. It warmed her heart as she thought to herself. It's good to be home again.
She closed the door behind her and stepped toward the dresser to retrieve clean clothing. Looking down in the drawer she froze. It was one of Kadaj's drawers. His tiny pajamas with a puppy on the left breast looked at her with his tongue hanging out. Kita grabbed it up pulling it to her face as she started weeping again. The old lady's words echoed in her mind.Baby killer. That's what you are. A baby killer. As those words hammered against her mind, she ran, and she ran, and she did not stop running until she, literally, ran into Yumichika and Ikkaku from the 11th Division. She had no idea where she was when she ran into them, but they were sweet enough to take her back to the Fourth Division. Once she returned to the fourth, Kisuke decided it was time for her to go home. And she was glad he did.
After a few more minutes on the floor crying, Kita finally pulled herself together, but she did not let go of Kadaj's pajamas, she kept them with her as she collected clothing for herself. Once she was undressed and in her robe she gathered her things and made a path to the bathroom. Hopefully, Yoruichi was right and a good hot bath will help. More than anything, she just wanted her mind to stop replaying everything that happened in Las Noches.
---After about thirty minutes soaking in the bathtub, Kita returned to the bedroom and walked over to the bed. She was still clutching Kadaj's pajamas in her hand, it was odd but it gave her a sense of security. She sat there for what felt like forever before her attention was caught by the steaming teacup sitting on her nightstand. Sitting Kadaj's pajamas in her lap she reached over and picked up the cup and took a small sip. She placed the cup back to the nightstand and fell back on the bed. She lay there just staring at the ceiling, before she knew it she was fast asleep.

Gin appeared on her windowsill, his eyes narrowed underneath his silver bangs as he noted the dried tear tracks on her face. His hand clenched and unclenched around his zanpakuto. At one time, he had contemplated on learning Shinsou’s final art to save her from this pain, but at this point, such a path would only harm her further. She’d spent too long within the shadows, and like him, they were now a part of her. He stepped out of the window and walked over to her without making any sound. Standing over her, just out of reach in case she woke with a flashback, he traced the lines of her cheekbones and lips with his eyes, yearning to touch her, choosing to let her rest away from her fears and guilt.
At least, the terrors and bloodshed of Las Noches hadn’t taken her deep slumber from her as centuries of the same had done for him. Or perhaps, he turned to the empty bassinet beside the bed, it was the children that gave her that escape. A silent chuckle escaped him and he walked over to the closet, sliding down to sit next to it, content to watch his brave wife doze clutching the tiny pajama. To be her watcher as it had been so long ago.
In the beginning.
When it was just an annoying girl and a lonely fox.

Laying on her side resting soundly on the bed, Kita dreamed of a brighter further, one she dreamed of while in Las Noches. It kept the darkness and the coldness that tried to devour her heart multiple times at bay. She wasn’t even sure if she shared the dream with Gin, but it was her utopia. Her escape. Just like Shinsou's realm was for Gin.
As a horn from outside the shop blew, Kita gasps and sat up quickly on the bed. She looked toward the window as she slowly lowered herself to the bed. Suddenly, she quickly sat back up when she saw something from the corner of her eyes.
"Gin," she said his name as he smiled at her and pushed up off the floor. She could feel all her stress melt away with just his smile and look.
"Did you have a good nap?"
Kita nodded and gestured with her hand for him to join her on the bed. "How was your three days with the boys?"
