Kita giggled softly. "Well if we are a couple like you claim. I would hope you could." She adjusted herslef in his lap so to look at him better. "Will you tell me, please?" She reached for his hand and took it in hers.

For the first time in ages, Tsukiro smiled genuinely and laughed. He kissed her yet again. He lifted her hands up and kissed them. He quietly snuck her out of Gin's room and over to his own room. He situated them on his futon and laid down, her still in his arms. He pulled the covers over her and began to tell her everything about them. He told her memory after memory about their relationship. She blushed at some of it, which made him laugh and kiss her. To his extreme happiness, she took everything he told her very well, not opposing anything, even though he knew she remembered nothing. He answered all of her questions about them. She was completely relaxed in his arms, and also for the first time in ages, he was falling in love with her all over again. And he hoped she was feeling the same. After a long afternoon of talking, they eventually fell asleep, Tsukiro holding her in his arms. For the moment, he forgot that anything was wrong with her.

"Getting Reacquainted":(continued)Once Kita finished with getting cleaned up and changed she stepped from the bathroom. She looked the direction Tsukiro told her to go once she was finished, she turned and was about to step that way then turned quickly and walked over to Gin's room. She knocked softly on the door waiting for a reply. When nothing came she slowly and quietly slid the door open. There in his bed Kita saw him peacefully sleeping. She stepped in the room and closed the door as quietly as she opened it.
She stepped over to his bedside and kneeled down beside it. "Master Gin." She called to him gently. "Breakfast is done." When he did not move she called to him again, softly touching his shoulder. "Master Gin."

The man chuckled. "I am awake, dearie," he purred. Long fingers caught her wrist and he turned over, bringing their faces close together. But Kita knew he would do nothing but stare into her eyes, as if he was memorizing her soul.
Finally releasing her, Gin sat up and rubbed at his head. "How are you healing?"

She sat up and smiled. "Good. The soreness is all gone. I didn't get to look at my back to see how the wounds looked 'cause the mirror in the bathroom was too small. And why didn't you ever tell me Izuru could heal to? He is very skilled. "
She looked to him still smiling. "Did you sleep well?" She then remembered where he went last night. "You did not sit up all night did you? You need your rest. I know you worry about her, but..." Gin gave Kita an odd look. "You can't fool me. I know you care very much for her."
Kita went to push up off the floor to stand. "When will you learn, I can tell what you're thinking by looking in your eyes?"

Chuckling, Gin placed his head on his palm as his usual smile graced his lips. "I don't think I will get used to it, dearie." As she paused in the doorway, he waved her away. "Go. I know you're hungry. I will be along when I feel like it."

Kita smiled brightly. "Well get use to it. It's never going to change." She then paused while reaching for the door and cast her eyes down remembering what Tsukiro said to her in the other room. "Master Gin?"
He replied with a hum.
"Is it true?" She did not look to him as she heard him move behind her.
"Is what true, dearie?"
"Would I better off without you?" Kita asked him.

Gin froze, and for a moment, his reiatsu flared in rage. Then he sighed and pulled Kita to him. Embracing her tightly from behind, he set his chin on her shoulder and tilted his head to whisper in her ear.
"Even if that was true once, Kita, it's too late to change things. I won't ever give you up."
He held for a moment longer then pulled away, setting a finger over her lips. "But that is our little secret."
He frowned momentarily then chuckled, a mischievous light dancing in his slitted eyes. "You and I are the only ones who can understand our relationship, dearie. That's just the way it is. Don't overthink it."

Kita smiled and kissed the finger over her lips. "I promise." She turned with a new found smile and left his room so he could get dressed for the day.Moved

"Late Night in The Lab":(continue)"Like my memories returning? Are they really that important?" She tilted her head as she followed him further in the room. When he released her hand to retrieve the spare futon she watched him as a sad feeling washed over her. "Master Gin, why do you want my memories to return? Are you unhappy with the way I am now? Was I a better person with them?" She tilted her head. "What happens if they returned? ... Is that why you asked me if I would still trust you?"
Her eyes started to sting once more from forming tears. "Will I forget you? Will I not love you any more?"

In an instant, she was back in Gin's arms, the futon falling forward with a soft thunk as he crushed her small form to his own. "No, Kita, you will not forget me nor will your heart change towards me," he murmured in her ear. "Even without your memories I still adore you and will continue to do so. I am trying to return your memories to you because someone asked me to, not because it is necessary."
As she seemed to stop shaking in his arms, he loosened his arms from around her, tilting her chin up to stare into their watery depths. "I asked again about your trust in me, dearie, because it is so rare. It's a sweet thing to hear from your lips."

Kita gave him a weak smile as she looked into his eyes. "If they return or not I will always trust you, Master Gin." She started shaking her head quickly. "But I don't want them back if it is going to separate us." She quickly wrapped her arms around him pulling him closer to her. "I don't know what I would do without you. My heart would break and I don't want to lose you."
She sniffled and looked up at him again. "Please tell me that will never happen?" Tears flowed again as she looked into his blue eyes.

Not replying, Gin leaned over and kissed each tear-filled eye. "I am not the only one who cares for you," he whispered. "In reality, it's been me who has been blessed with you, not the other way around." Kita started shaking her head in disbelief, and Gin shushed her with a finger to her lips, blue eyes solemn. "I will do my very best to keep us from being separated - I promise you that."

"I know that. I am reminded of that hourly since we have arrived here. I was like a daughter to Kisuke and a lover to Tsukiro, friends and even a lover to Hisagi. But no one tells me where you fall in in all this."
She looked deep into his eyes her eyes begging to hear what he had to say. "Master Gin, please. Tell me what you were to me when I had my memories?"

He smiled gently and pulled her down to sit by him on his futon. "You are pretty much the same as you are now," he stated. "You see something in me only one, maybe two others see. Genuine goodness." He chuckled and brushed her hair back. "You befriended me simply because I was alone and I think you liked the challenge of being refused." He tilted his head as he cupped her cheek. "By the time I had given up on pushing you away, you were already irreplaceable."
He dropped his hand. "You're my friend no matter how differently I viewed the world from the rest here, and... it's because of me your memories were erased. You were trying to protect me."
