"Saying Farewell":
Gin stopped on a nearby roof, chuckling at the sheer stupidity of the previous moment, though others might have called it something else. The names of the emotions behind the outburst didn’t really matter to him. He had never named them in the past when they cropped up against his will, and he wasn’t about to focus on them now. When Kita was still struggling with her part in it and needed one to them to stay calm. Even if his choices had grown with his girl inserting herself in his life, this was the right thing to do. It just happened to be something he was too good at. To be honest, Gin understood he may be due for another minor breakdown, but he wouldn’t let it be this day. He wasn’t so broken that he couldn’t dictate that much.
Well, not anymore than what he had already unleashed on the first to ask dumb questions. Oh well~
He didn’t spare a moment to think about the scare he might have left that officer in. If she really was going to pursue this story properly, there would be plenty of nightmares waiting for her, with or without his interference.
Gin let the calm descend on him, staring up at the blue sky for a few moments before glancing around him. It really was something bizarre but grand to see all of the Gotei restored after the war had all but demolished most of the area. And now, he had some time to kill before they returned to Karakura. He could create trouble: stick around on the rooftops before someone started screaming about him being there and mess with whoever was that stupid, or even barge in on 11th division and get into a huge brawl until someone put an end to that fun. He could try to suss out Aizen’s location and tear him apart. If he could find him. That might be more entertaining than causing mischief in the divisions. All of those options were safe, easy diversions.
So why did neither sound like the right thing to do? He sighed, shaking his head at more stupidity, and glanced to the west. He waved a hand as he stood. No, he wasn’t that brave. But there was another option in front of him.
