Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 454 "On Shaking Grounds": (continued) Mayuri was sitting at his console as it started to tremble. The tremble rolled into a hard shake. Mayuri stood from his seat just as the quake shook the division so hard, that containment tubes for his experiments started to topple. Mayuri’s eyes widened both hands going to his head.
“What is the the meaning of this madness?! Nemu! Nemu! Where is that girl?! NEMU!!”
Nemu never showed, but it was then Mayuri heard voices over the announcement speakers. They were yelling, some belting out orders. Crashes were heard even a few screams when Akon Santsuno, Mayuri’s third seat spoke out. “Captain Kurotsuchi, containment tubes, and chambers are breaking away from the walls. The glass is cracking and two of the experiments are running free. HMH 340 and HMH 282 have escaped.” Just then, a hollow’s cry echoed through the division.
Mayuri’s hands shot up as he growled, “AGGGG! KILL THEM! KILL THEM BEFORE THEY ESCAPE INTO THE GOTEI! DO NOT LET THEM OUT OF THE AREA!!”
Mayuri caught his balance before he fell as he turned and exited the building. “What in the name of the Soul King is going on around here?” Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 458 "Adjustments": As the second net that was launched at the hollow Koga, failed, Mayuri growled loudly. "Why~ is that bird so damn big?" Mayuri screeched watching the hollow escape through the void of one of his counterparts.
He quickly stood from his seat as the few squad members that were in the control room with him looked their captain's way "I know after his last attack I got perfect measurements off his release form." Mayuri rubbed his chin as he paced in the control room. "My nets should have entangled him and brought him down." He thought aloud, still pacing. "What has changed?""Uhm, Captain... Sir," one of his squad spoke up. Mayuri looked in his underlings directions, head slightly tipped to one side. "Hmmm," when his underling did not speak up Mayuri barked out, "Speak up man! I don't have all day!""I...well..." the underling stuttered. "Go on~""Maybe the Espada evolved?" Mayuri's brows shot upward, his index finger lifting as he pointed up at the ceiling walking toward his underling. "Yessss, that's it. The Espada evolved." He stopped in front of the man lowering himself down, putting them face to face, a serious look now on Mayuri's face.
"DON'T YOU THINK I THOUGHT OF THAT?!" Mayuri yelled in the underling's face, then stood, and turned on his heels in a rage. "Idiots!" he throws his hands up. "They're all idiots!" He walked from the control room in a huff, yelling at the ones left behind. "Start the reconstruction of the new nets!"--END RP-- "Words of Warning"

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 473 "Ingenious": In the dimly lit laboratory of the 12th Division, Mayuri's eyes gleamed with a mix of madness and brilliance. The air was thick with the scent of various chemicals, and the low hum of machinery provided an eerie symphony to his work. On the long, metal table before him lay an intricate network of wires, sensors, and metallic frames—the latest evolution of his trap for catching the flying Arrancar, Koga.
"Foolproof," Mayuri muttered to himself, his voice echoing in the vast, cavernous space. "A marvel of ingenuity and scientific excellence."
His hands moved with practiced precision, attaching a set of new, highly sensitive motion detectors to the framework. These detectors, designed to perceive the faintest ripple of spiritual pressure, would trigger the trap at the exact moment Koga entered its range.
He cackled softly, reveling in his own genius. "That primitive fool won't even see it coming. His arrogance will be his downfall."
Mayuri turned his attention to a series of small, cylindrical containers lined up neatly on the table. Each one held a different concoction of paralyzing agents—carefully formulated to work on Arrancar physiology. He selected one labeled ‘Version 7.3’, a pale green liquid that shimmered under the fluorescent lights.
"Just a few drops," he whispered, carefully injecting the liquid into the trap's delivery system. "Enough to incapacitate but not to kill. We need him alive for study."
He activated the mechanism, watching with satisfaction as the trap hummed to life. The sensors glowed faintly, their sensitivity attuned to detect even the most elusive spiritual pressures. The paralyzing agents were ready, poised to be released at a moment's notice.
But Mayuri was not one to leave things to chance. He summoned Nemu, his faithful and ever-patient lieutenant. She appeared silently at his side, her expression as unreadable as ever.
"Nemu," he said, his tone commanding. "Initiate the simulation. I want to see how our prey will fare against my latest creation."
Nemu nodded, her fingers dancing over a control panel. The air shimmered, and a holographic Arrancar appeared, soaring through the lab with an illusion of life. The trap's sensors flared, detecting the simulated intruder. In an instant, the paralyzing agents were released, enveloping the hologram in a fine mist. The Arrancar's movements slowed, then ceased altogether, as it hung motionless in the air.
Mayuri's laughter filled the lab, a sound both triumphant and chilling. "Perfect! Absolutely perfect!" He turned to Nemu, his eyes alight with manic satisfaction. "Prepare the field units. We will deploy the traps immediately. If that insolent creature returns to Soul Society, he won't know what hit him."
As Nemu moved to carry out his orders, Mayuri returned to his workbench, already contemplating further refinements. In his mind, there were always improvements to be made, always new heights of scientific mastery to achieve. And as long as there were enemies to outwit and specimens to study Mayuri would remain at the forefront of Soul Society's relentless pursuit of knowledge.--END RP-- “For Your Own Good”

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 482 "Like Something We've Seen Before": (Continued) Days after being dropped by the owl, Kudo had done his work...Digging beneath the earth of the Gotei. Dig dig dig. Specifically the Twelfth Division. Koga said so. Dig. Dig. Dig. All the way around...Shosei appeared grinning ear to ear as all eyes shifted toward him. "Strange how you all took notice much faster than than those in your First. If you wouldn't mind," Shosei smiled wide. "I would love a word with your Captain." He drew his blade and let it rest to his shoulder. "At his earliest convenience, of course."

Mayuri strode into the Research Laboratory, his annoyance palpable in every step. His face, a mask of barely contained irritation, twitched as he approached the visitor. He was clad in his usual ornate robes, the skull-like visage of his mask only amplifying the air of menace he carried with him. His eyes, always sharp and calculating, flicked over Shosei with a mixture of disdain and curiosity.
"You," Mayuri began, his voice dripping with contempt, "are either incredibly brave or incredibly foolish to appear unannounced and demand an audience with the Captain." He paused, letting the silence hang heavy in the air for a moment. "I suppose it doesn't matter which. What is it you want?"
Shosei's grin remained unwavering, unfazed by the captain's menacing presence. "Captain Kurotsuchi," he greeted. "You and your men are far more aware of your surroundings than those of the First. Especially regarding something so...urgent."
Mayuri's eyes narrowed. "Urgent, you say?" He tilted his head slightly, his interest piqued despite his irritation. "And what matter could be so pressing that you risk your life to deliver it in person?"
Shosei chuckled softly. "Oh just one that involves the balance of power within the Gotei 13 or something like that."
Mayuri's lips curled into a sneer. "Balance of power, you say? Interesting choice of words." He took a step closer, his eyes boring into Shosei's. "Very well, I will listen. But understand this: any sign of deception, and you will not leave this place alive."
Shosei's smile grew wider still. "I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Captain Kurotsuchi."
Mayuri's gaze remained fixed on the visitor, his mind already racing through countless scenarios and contingencies. He was ready for anything, prepared to dissect this intruder's motives and intentions with the same precision he applied to his experiments. This unexpected encounter had piqued his curiosity, and for Mayuri Kurotsuchi, that was a dangerous thing indeed.

Shosei laughed as he looked over the Captain. He recalled all of what he had read on the man. All that made him weak. His poor reflexes. The sensor on his zanpakuto to counter those poor reflexes. His scare tactics. Shosei disappeared and reappeared behind the Captain only to have the Captain move to counter. But, before any contact could be made, Shosei disappeared again.
"Try again, Captain." he whispered, appearing in front of him. The Captain made another move, only for Shosei to disappear again.
"Let us play a game." said Shosei, appearing a few feet away. "A quick game of the better build. My body versus yours. Or, you can admit now that the Octava is simply the better craftsman and scientist."

Mayuri's eyes narrowed, a mix of rage and intrigue flickering within them. "You dare challenge me?" he hissed, his fingers flexing around his zanpakuto. "You think your tricks can undermine my genius?"
Mayuri's sneer twisted into a derisive grin. "Szayelaporro Grantz, the so-called Octava Espada. A mediocre scientist at best, with his crude experiments and uninspired creations. He relied on brute force and luck rather than true ingenuity. His methods were sloppy, his results inconsistent. He was obsessed with the superficial, the flashy displays of power, rather than the deeper, more meaningful discoveries."
Mayuri's eyes gleamed with contempt as he continued. "His creations were nothing more than grotesque imitations of true scientific brilliance. Parlor tricks masquerading as innovation. He lacked the vision to see beyond the immediate, the wisdom to understand the complexities of true research. Every experiment he conducted, every creature he spawned, was a testament to his inadequacy."
He took a step closer to Shosei, his voice low and filled with venom. "To compare him to me is an insult. My work, my creations, are the culmination of true genius. I delve into the unknown, push the boundaries of what is possible, and create wonders that his feeble mind could never even comprehend. So, if you wish to champion Szayelaporro, be my guest."
Mayuri's sneer deepened, his mind racing with strategies. "If you wish to compare, then let us do so. But know this: in the end, you will find yourself standing in the shadow of a true master of science, and your overconfidence will be your downfall."

Shosei smiled and folded his arms behind his back as listened to the Captain carry one. He disappeared, reappearing much further from the Captain. "I don't know, Captain. From both near and far, the Octava is the better scientist. Even his appearance is superior to yours." Shosei raised a brow as the Captain moved to narrow the space between them. "But, truly, if inferiority was what you were striving for," Shosei clapped. "Then bravo."
"Enough talking." said Shosei. "Let us put your horrid nature to the test. But, away from your lab. After all, we don't want to destroy this. You'll need somewhere to piece yourself together when I'm done."
Shosei disappeared.Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 495 "Lab Lost, Knowledge Gained": It was the next day as Mayuri stared at the empty crater where his lab once stood, his painted face contorted into a grotesque mixture of anger and curiosity. The Twelfth Division’s entire research facility, gone, swallowed by a void that led to Hueco Mundo. And with it, years of research, countless specimens, and his precious data—his life’s work. The worst of it was the unknown. What had become of the Shinigami who hadn’t escaped? His precious research assistants, those living experiments? He couldn’t care less about their well-being, but their data, their ongoing work, was lost to him.
“It’s preposterous,” Mayuri muttered, his voice a low hiss. He tapped his chin, the sound of his fingernail clicking against the lacquer of his mask echoing in the unnerving silence. The Gotei 13 members surrounding him shifted uneasily, their eyes flickering nervously between the crater and their captain. No one dared speak, for fear of becoming the target of his ire.Nemu, his ever-loyal lieutenant, stood at his side, her expression as unreadable as always. “What are your orders, Mayuri-sama?” she asked, her tone calm and even.He waved a hand dismissively, “First, I need data—an analysis of the reiatsu left behind in the crater. I want a full report on the fluctuations in the Soul Society’s dimensional fabric. Someone must have sensed the disturbance; I need that information yesterday.”“Yes, Mayuri-sama,” Nemu replied, immediately relaying his orders to the other members of the division.Mayuri's mind raced, running through every possible scenario, every hypothesis. The Espada had managed to pull off an extraordinary feat, one he would have applauded had it not been directed at him. Moving an entire lab to Hueco Mundo—it required not just raw power, but precision. Whoever was behind this had a deep understanding of both the Soul Society’s dimensional structure and the nature of Hueco Mundo.
Gesshin Hora. The name bubbled up in his mind like a toxic fume. The Espada known for his ability to manipulate voids, creating doorways between realms. It was crude compared to the Garganta, but it served its purpose. How had he managed it, though? And how had Mayuri not detected the reiatsu disturbance until it was too late?
His eyes narrowed. He could not allow this insult to stand. His lab was not just a structure; it was an extension of his will, his brilliance. He would not rest until it was back in its rightful place, along with everything inside it. And if some of his precious research subjects had been damaged in the process, so be it.
“Send word to the First Division,” Mayuri ordered, his tone brooking no argument. “Request immediate permission to lead an expedition into Hueco Mundo. This insult cannot go unanswered. I will recover what is mine.”Nemu bowed slightly, her voice as steady as ever. “I will send the request at once, Mayuri-sama.”Mayuri didn’t respond, his mind already far ahead. He needed to consider the logistics. Hueco Mundo was not a friendly place, especially not for a Shinigami, but the Espada had been bold enough to strike at the heart of the Soul Society. They had overstepped, and he would make them pay.
For now, he needed to prepare. There was no guarantee that the First Division would grant his request immediately. Even Captain Commander Kyoraku could be annoyingly cautious at times. But Mayuri wasn’t one to wait idly by. He would begin preparations regardless.
“Nemu, prepare a list of all the equipment we’ll need for an extended stay in Hueco Mundo. I want the Garganta stabilizers ready, as well as any portable containment units we can carry. If we find anything useful in Hueco Mundo, I want it contained and brought back.”“Of course, Mayuri-sama,” Nemu said, already making notes.“And make sure we’re prepared for combat. The Espada won’t just sit idly by and let us take back what’s ours. I want everyone equipped with anti-Hollow gear, including modified Gigai that can resist the ambient reiatsu of Hueco Mundo.”Nemu nodded. “Understood.”As his lieutenant busied herself with the orders, Mayuri’s mind continued to churn. There was a chance—a slim one—that some of the lab’s defenses had survived the transition. If the lab’s spiritual wards had activated in time, they might have repelled or contained the invaders. But he wouldn’t know until he saw it for himself.
And then there was the matter of the Shinigami who hadn’t escaped. What had become of them? Were they trapped within the lab, or had they been thrown into Hueco Mundo’s harsh environment? He would need to prepare for all eventualities.
But what truly gnawed at him was the idea that the Espada might have accessed his research. If they had, they could potentially weaponize his work against the Soul Society. The thought made him snarl in frustration. No one understood his work like he did; the Espada wouldn’t know how to use it properly. But even the slightest misuse could have catastrophic consequences.
“Nemu,” he called, his voice sharp.“Yes, Mayuri-sama?” she responded immediately.“Double the security measures on all our remaining data and research. I want every possible leak plugged. And begin work on a contingency plan to neutralize any of my experiments that might have fallen into enemy hands. If they’ve accessed my data, we must be prepared to counter whatever they might throw at us.”“Yes, Mayuri-sama,” she acknowledged, already moving to execute his commands. As the preparations continued around him, Mayuri stood at the edge of the crater, staring into the abyss where his lab had once been. The Espada had taken something precious from him, and they would pay for it. But more than that, they had given him a challenge—a puzzle to solve, an opportunity to push the boundaries of his own knowledge.
With a twisted grin, Mayuri turned away from the crater, his mind already working on the next steps. This was no mere setback; it was an opportunity. And he would seize it with both hands. He would recover his lab, his research, and everything that had been taken from him. And in the process, he would unravel the mysteries of Hueco Mundo, dissect the Espada who had dared to challenge him, and emerge even stronger.
Mayuri’s grin widened as he imagined the possibilities. The Espada had no idea what they had unleashed. But they would learn soon enough. And when they did, they would regret ever crossing paths with Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi.--END RP-- "The Damage Done"
