Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 501 "Fetching A Snake": In the secluded hideout Aizen had meticulously prepared, he sat quietly in his room, a rare moment of calm in the storm of his thoughts. A book rested in his hand, its pages turning at a leisurely pace, but his mind was always alert, always calculating. Suddenly, a spike in Gin Ichimaru’s reiatsu disrupted the tranquility, sharp and intense, before vanishing as quickly as it had appeared. Aizen looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly, and his attention shifted from the book to the door. He knew that within moments, Kita would be crossing the threshold. Kita, in another part of the hideout, felt a sudden chill crawl down her spine as if something vital had been torn from her. She clutched her chest, her breath coming in short, erratic bursts as she tried to understand what had just happened. Panic clawed at her, the growing void where Gin’s reiatsu had been gnawing at her resolve. "Gin..." she whispered, her voice trembling with the first stirrings of regret.Closing her eyes, Kita reached out with her senses, desperately trying to find him, to grasp any lingering trace of his presence. But there was nothing—only a void that sent waves of dread crashing over her. Without another thought, her feet carried her down the hall of the hideout, her mind fixated on finding answers. She burst into Aizen’s room, her usual composure shattered, eyes wide and filled with desperation. Aizen looked up from his book, not surprised in the least by her sudden entrance.
"Aizen!" Kita's voice was sharp, cutting through the stillness of the room. "Gin’s gone."Aizen studied her for a moment, his expression unreadable, though his eyes narrowed slightly as he set down the book. He had anticipated this moment, knowing it was only a matter of time before the threads of the carefully woven plans began to unravel. "Kita," he began, his voice as smooth and unhurried as ever, "I suspect Kisuke may have sent Gin on an errand. There is no need for concern." But Kita wasn’t easily placated. She could sense the evasion in Aizen’s words, and her anger at herself began to bubble to the surface, mixing with her worry. "Damnit, Aizen," she growled, her voice low and dangerous. "I felt his reiatsu flare, then disappear completely. Something is wrong. You need to find him, or I will."
Kita shook her head, frustration and self-reproach welling up inside her. She lifted a hand to her temple, rubbing it as if trying to soothe the storm of emotions within her. “I shouldn’t have told Seto to inform Gin about what was going on,” she muttered, her fists clenching at her sides in anger at her own decisions.Aizen’s eyes flickered with an emotion that was impossible to read—perhaps amusement, perhaps something closer to annoyance. He stood, his tall figure imposing as he moved toward her, but Kita didn’t back down. She met his gaze with a fierce determination that, for a moment, made even Aizen pause. "Kita," Aizen’s tone was calm, almost too calm as if he were addressing a child caught in a misdeed. "Was Tervaden here while I was away this morning? And how exactly did he know where to find you?"

Kita hesitated, her hand lifting to her forehead as she recalled the details. “No,” she began, but uncertainty crept into her voice. “Well… he might have known. I don’t know. I’m not as familiar with the workings of Chinmoku as I am with Shinsou.”Aizen’s eyes narrowed slightly, his mind piecing together the implications. “So, he has a shard of Chinmoku embedded within you? Is that correct?” Kita nodded slowly, feeling the weight of her own choices pressing down on her. “Yes. He has a connection with me because of it. We talked for a few minutes this morning while you were gone.” She looked up, meeting Aizen’s calculating gaze. “I told him…” She sighed, rubbing her temple again as if to rid herself of the guilt gnawing at her. “I asked him to pass along a message to Gin—that I was safe and what was happening.”Aizen’s expression remained unreadable, though his eyes gleamed with a faint trace of something darker. “And, naturally, because it was news from Tervaden, and he knew something about you that Gin did not, it upset him. So, he ran off, like the impulsive child he is.” Kita winced at Aizen’s words, knowing there was truth in them. Gin’s protective nature had always been both his strength and his weakness. She had hoped to avoid this very scenario, but her actions had only brought it to fruition. Now, all she could do was rely on Aizen to set things right, though she knew better than to trust him completely.
"Aizen," she said, her voice softer now but no less determined, "please, find him. I can’t bear the thought of him out there, lost and alone, because of me."Aizen’s gaze softened, if only slightly, as he regarded her. “Kita, Gin is more resilient than you give him credit for.” “That may be true,” she countered, her tone laced with frustration, “but this is my fault. If I’d kept him in the dark, he would still be out there searching for me—not running off like this.” Her fists clenched at her sides, anger at herself mixing with the gnawing fear for Gin’s safety. “I could leave right now and return to my family.”Aizen’s eyes narrowed slightly, his expression hardening as he weighed her words. “You chose to stay, Kita. Why would you abandon that choice now, only to put yourself in unnecessary danger?” She met his gaze with steely determination, her voice firm as she responded, “Because I also made a choice to stay with Gin and start a family. If something has happened to him… I’ll never forgive myself.” She stepped closer, her eyes locking onto his, refusing to back down. “Please, Aizen, find him for me. You owe me that much.”For a long moment, silence hung between them. Aizen’s gaze bore into hers, assessing, calculating the best move. He saw the unwavering resolve in her eyes, the fierce loyalty she held for Gin—a loyalty that had always been both a tool and a potential threat in his careful plans. The very quality that made her valuable now threatened to unravel everything that had been constructed. Finally, Aizen sighed—a rare sound that caused Kita to stiffen in surprise. “Very well,” he conceded, his voice taking on a softer, more contemplative tone. “I will find Gin. But you must promise me something in return, Kita.” She frowned, suspicion clouding her features. “What?”“You will stay here,” Aizen said, his voice firm, the weight of his command undeniable. “No matter what happens, you will remain in this hideout, safe from harm. If you leave, you will only put yourself at risk, and that is something I will not allow.” Kita hesitated, the tension between them palpable. She knew Aizen’s promises were often laced with hidden motives, traps laid to ensure his control. But he was also her best chance at finding Gin. Slowly, reluctantly, she nodded. “I promise,” she said, though the words felt like lead on her tongue, each one laden with the understanding of the precarious position she was in.Aizen gave a small nod of approval, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “Good. Now, go and rest. I will bring Gin back to you.” With that, he turned and left the room, his mind already calculating the next steps. As the door closed behind him, Kita’s heart remained heavy, doubt and worry gnawing at her. She wanted to believe him, but she knew Aizen too well. In his world, nothing was ever as simple as it seemed.Moved
