Vacanze ran into the shop with Azayaka draped over his shoulder. "Shopkeeper!!" He called out through the shop. "Kisuke Urahara!!"
Following his reiatsu, he went back to the back of the shop and into a closed door. He threw the door open, seeing Kisuke sitting there. "Special delivery." |

Kisuke looked up as Vacanze burst into the room. At first he thought something was up, but when he saw Azayaka over his shoulder he blinked from under his hat. He looked at his wrist like he was pulling reference from a watch.
"You're a little early don't you think?" He stood from the table and walked toward the Espada.

Vacanze laid her down on a table, rotating the kinks out of his shoulder. "Yeah, well, I had to upgrade the shipping to express." He then gave Kisuke a frantic look. "We have to get Kita out of there. I don't know what Aizen has done to her, but she's not herself anymore. She cares the world about me, and when I told her that I had decided to keep Azayaka instead of using her, she didn't even blink. She was..." He shook his head. "She was not my Kita. She was not the woman who changed me. We have to get her out of there. I don't care about any goddess or the other women in Las Noches. Kita is my priority." |

Kisuke slipped his arms under Azayaka lifting her from the table his eyes narrowing as he turned. "That bastard must have used Kyōka Suigetsu on her."
He motioned to a door as Vacanze walked over and opened the door. Inside the room stood three cells, one with the door already open. Kisuke entered and laid Azayaka out on the bed. He covered her with a blanket then turned and walked out, securely closing and locking the cell door. With a quick wave of hand the cell was reinforced with a Kido not even Ichimaru could get through. He then turned motioning again at Vacanze. The two exited the room back into the command post room. The door to the cells was closed and locked as well.
"You can't go back." Kisuke informed the espada.

Vacanze looked down, clenching his hands into fists. "At this point, there is nothing I can do for Kita there. She is glued to Aizen more than his ego." He looked back up at Kisuke. "I... I don't want to go back there. There is nothing for me there. When Kita is back here safely, my life will be here. She is my purpose for this despicable existence. From this point on, I sever my ties with Aizen and Las Noches. Do with me as you see fit. I will follow your lead."

Walking from behind the closed and looked door of the cells Sumi looked at the two men. "You will have to." Her eyes then fell on Urahara alone.
"You were aware of my warning and still you acted against it. What were you hoping to accomplish that I could not?" Sumi's anger started to flare at the two men.

Kisuke adjusted his hat and smiled at the goddess. "Leverage." He bowed slightly. "I know you're angered about this, but you know as well as we do that if Aizen holds all the chips in this game we have as good as lost."
Sumi stepped toward Kisuke and lifted his hat off his head and looked into his eyes. "You are a fool to think such a thing."
Kisuke did not know what to think so he blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "And what the hell are you doing but letting the women suffer while in his grasp? As well as Ichimaru. Has he not suffered enough from that bastard?"

"Fact of the matter is, Your Highness you haven't told us shit about what you're planning. You're not doing anything to get Kita out of there without being beaten and bloodied and raped. You expect us to just roll over for you without questioning you simply because you're a god? I think not. So if you want us to cooperate, you have to give us a reason to. Either that, or you do your part from your side, and we'll do ours from our side. But I won't leave Kita's life and fate up to someone could give two shits about us down here on the ground."
He turned away, closing his eyes. Behind his lids he envisioned Kita as he knew her. "Kita gave me a reason for my existence as a hollow. One better than the one Aizen gave me. One more noble. I refuse to just sit idly by and do nothing for her while some disembodied spirit attached to her does what she pleases with the situation. If you can get her out of there without any more suffering on her part, I will do as you want, but not if you plan on letting her continue suffer. That is something I cannot go along with." |

Sumi looked to Vacanze from Urahara. "Do you believe that nothing has come from what has happen with Kita? That nothing has come from the suffering of the others? Including yourself. If you do. Then what you just spoke of is a lie."
She turned and stepped away from both, but not before she set Kisuke's hat to the table beside her. "Without suffering there is no gain. One has to suffer before they truly realize and understand what it is they were created for. Their destiny." She looked over her shoulder at Vacanze as he was still turned away from her.
"Did you not have to suffer before you met Kita?" She looked to Urahara. "And Ichimaru made his decision to follow Sousuke much earlier than before Kita even existed. The same goal drives Ichimaru, but now he strives harder to reach it because again; Kita has touched anothers soul to see things are not always like we believe. She gives us hope and truth. Something we all strive for but always seems to be just out of reach. She suffers because she loves all of you and she knows without that hope and trust. Aizen could never be destroyed. The unity of the soul society is not the only force that will stop Aizen. It will take everyone to do this. Not just one."

"What you say may be true," Juushiro called out from the doorway, "but isn't it part of what we are to try and stop this at least once?" He nodded to Kisuke and Vacanze before inclining his head to the goddess. "Even if it could be in vain, even if there's some purpose in the fabric of the universe to the wait that we may or may not see, we are creatures driven by our emotions." He looked down at his hands then back up with a slight smile. "We can only take so much before we have to take action with our own hands. Is that wrong of us?"
Feeling a tightening in his throat and hoping to stall it, Juushiro took a seat at the command table. "You speak of unity as the key for defeating Aizen. But unity doesn't come immediately. Ichimaru wouldn't have turned to anyone if Kisuke hadn't saved his life with Yoruchi-san. Then he met Kita and as you said, changed further. Perhaps this fight is another step to that unity."
Because we aren't quite there yet.

Sumi looked to the noble and nodded her head slightly to him letting him say his piece. "And in interfering with the path that has been laid out before the two fighting against the one man that stands against you all; are you not halting that unity?"
She stepped toward the ill captain and rested her hand to his shoulder taking away his sudden weakness that rushed his body. "Taking action will only prolong the war you have been fighting for centuries." She looked to the others.
"I cannot say I know what you are feeling, but I do know that it is only in your nature to try and stop this. And in the centuries of humankind and in life of the soul reaper and even the hollows. How many times in the history of this world has it really been effective? You bring down one and another takes their place. If you are going to stop the cruel cycle someone has to take the first stand and say enough is enough." She looked to them all in the room. "There has to be unity in War when everyone is fighting against the same evil, not diversity."

"Then if you don't want us taking action and prolonging this, then don't say it will take all of us when really you are the only one fighting and actually doing something. Don't say we all have to work together when you will only let Kita and Ichimaru do the work. Don't say what you won't do, Goddess. It makes you a hypocrite."
Vacanze walked past the goddess and out the door. He didn't know where in the house he was going. He only knew that he couldn't stand to look the witch in the face any longer. |

Sumi paid no mind to the angered espada as he walked from the room as she looked at the other two. "I hope you two understand that this fight is not going to remain in Las Noches and when it does come to Soul Society or Karakura you're ready to do your part."
She turned and stepped back toward the cell door.

Kisuke looked to the goddess as she turned away from them. "Can you at least give us the courtesy of telling us what is happening?" He looked to Juushiro who was now standing as he too was looking Sumi's way.
They watched as she turned toward them once more. "If that is what you wish."
They both nodded again waiting for her to reveal to them what they had to face in times coming.

Sumi continued after their approval. Telling them everything that has happened since Gin and Kita's return from the exchange. Both men were found sitting once more at the table with heads hung. They barely looked up at the goddess as she spoke.
When she got to the events that were occurring at that given moment Juushiro looked up at her. "So Ichimaru is in the Godly realm right now?"
"Yes." Sumi replied plainly.
"You said Kita was not under Kyoka Suigetsu's power. So who has her under the hallucination?" Kisuke asks her.
"The soul reaper; Vale Tervaden is the man who is responsible for this. However, do not think that Sousuke would not try to reinforce the hallucination with Kyoka Suigetsu. If it were not for Ichimaru's quick actions it would have already happened. He finally has Kita where he wants her. He is not going to take the chance in losing her."
The room grew quiet after Sumi's last statement as the two men looked to one another.
