After a few moments of silence, Juushiro chuckled quietly and stood again. "I am sorry, Sumi, but with what you have told us, it is even more important for us to take some action against Sousuke and his followers. Shunsui has kept his promise not to attack Las Noches, and ...." he closed his eyes, "that will remain; however," his sharp green eyes hardened, "no one on any side of the war has been able to tell this man Kisuke Urahara what to do, even if it is for his own good."
Kisuke adjusted his hat with slight smirk.
Juushiro took a breath. "If this leads to a worse situation, so be it, but at this point, it would unbearable for us to wait quietly anymore. This shop is our vanguard. It has always chosen to fight when others cannot. I will not take that away from them."
He bowed his head. "Please try to understand."

Sumi narrowed her eyes at them. "Then I will tell you this. If one of you steps foot in Las Noches you will deal with me. Not Aizen. Not his Army. Not Ichimaru nor Kita. You will face the wrath of a God and I will not go easy on any of you. Is that understood?"
Kisuke grinned and tipped his hat slightly at the goddess. "We would not expect anything less from the goddess. Bring us your best, I would be disappointed if you did not."
She narrowed her eyes more and turned from them, stepping away walking toward the cell door. "Make Azayaka comfortable because she will be here for a long while."
She vanished from their sight her voice lingering in the room. "And that I will, Urahara."

Vacanze pushed up from the wall where he was listening in. He went back into the room when he was sure the goddess was gone. He looked to Kisuke. "So, what do we do now? Roll over for the high and mighty queen or do what we can for Kita and the others?"

Kisuke looked to Juushiro and grinned. "Should I ask or are you going to tell us?" Kisuke sat back to the table and moved around the papers revealing the layout of Las Noches. The Throne room, Aizen's chamber, Yumiko's room and a few others were circled in red. Along with the weakest points of the palace to bring it toppling down into rubble.
He looked back to the two in the room with him. "I have a plan myself I am willing to share if you would like to share yours as well." He grinned adjusting his hat.

Juushiro chuckled lightly. "The goddess won't let us attack Las Noches, but she said nothing against attacks here. In fact, she seems to expect that to happen with Azayaka's capture. I say, we take back who we can during that attack." He looked over at Kisuke's map. "I take it you have a different idea."

Kisuke grinned and adjusted his hat over his eyes. "Now what gave you that idea?"
Juushiro smiled as Vacanze stepped up to the table. He then started to explain the idea he had rolling around in his head.

"Friends Exchanging News":
As Kurosaki and Vacanze walked out of the shop, Juushiro returned to the command center, dialing in the connection to Soul Society. A couple weeks ago, a few gargantuas had opened in Soul Society and unleashed a hoard of gillian and adjuchas hollows and over a dozen arrancar. Not one espada had been among them, but the sheer mass had been enough to tear a quite a dent in parts of Seireitei. At the time, Kisuke and Juushiro had worried it was part of a two-prong attack, but nothing came to Karakura.
Nothing.
Even though they held Azayaka hostage.
Why?
A few minutes later, the screen fizzed into being with his best friend on the other side. “Hello, Shunsui, how are things over there?”

Shunsui tipped his hat and looked over at the scenery Juushiro couldn’t see. “Better than a couple weeks ago, that’s for sure. Most of the rebuilding is close to completion.” He winked. “I even have 12th division in full cooperation because Kurotsuchi got what remained of the corpses from that attack.”
Juushiro chuckled then narrowed his eyes. “Any clues as to why he sent a raid towards Soul Society and not here?”
Shunsui sighed, rubbing his cheek. “Nothing definite besides what Kurotsuchi says about some kind of frequency coming from their bodies during the attack. Maybe Sousuke was making a sick joke. Even if he was observing us, I don’t see what he would learn, unless he was checking for any changes in the ranks.”

Juushiro shook his head, eyes sad. “If it was something for his entertainment, I fear the mood change would be due to his conquering of Kita.”
The captain commander on the other side looked to the side. "There is nothing we can do there, not Kisuke, Ashimitsu, you or me, but wait and hope the goddess keeps her promise." He turned back to his friend. "How's Kisuke's new recruit?"
Juushiro managed a small smile. "Adjusting, but I don't think he likes Kurosaki's favorite drink. Kisuke finished the gigai today and Kurosaki went with him to visit the town. It's a step in moving forward." He chuckled. "The poor guy had no idea where to go without his reason for fighting. It made his change all the more believable."
He frowned again. “But what about Azayaka? She’s Sousuke's daughter, but nothing close to an attack has occurred here.” |

Shunsui rubbed his chin. “My thoughts on that haven’t changed. I only see two possible reasons. She either disappointed him or,” his eyes hardened, “he’s using her capture for something else.” He sighed again. “But then again, Kisuke’s is pretty good about locking powers away. It doesn’t quite fit.”
Juushiro nodded. “I am going to continue to try and talk to her. Maybe it’s not too late for her. Maybe her good side can be brought back.”
The captain commander lowered his hat. “I don’t know, Juu-chan. I don’t know, but please be careful.”

Juushiro laughed lightly. “I have at least two pairs of eyes on me most of the days. I can’t be that reckless.” He calmed and returned his friend’s worried gaze. “I want to try, old friend. In my eyes, she hasn’t passed the point of no return.”
Shunsui waved his hand. “I know I can’t stop you. You have too good of a heart.” He smiled wryly. “Good luck, white knight.”
“Don’t go chasing Nanao now that she has softened,” Juushiro responded in turn. His friend chuckled quietly, looking sheepish and cut the connection.

"An Uneasy Feeling":Kisuke entered the Command Post and flipped the switch to the communication device set up between his shop and the Captain Commander's office. He waited for someone to respond and take the static from the monitor as his mind replayed the events of the visit just moments before. Sitting on the edge of the table, Kisuke groaned, still feeling the affects of Sada's poison. "It seems I need to make the antidote stronger and faster." Kisuke growled, clutching his chest as the monitor came to life, Kyoraku and Juushiro both standing in front of it. In the background, he saw Yumiko and another figure he could not make out.

Shunsui sat back in his chair as the monitor came to life, considering his words when Yumiko cried out. His eyes narrowed as the screen sharpened, revealing Kisuke looking worn and bloodied. “I have a feeling you have as much news as we do, old friend,” he growled. “Who wants to go first?”
“Kisuke, are you-” Yumiko called out from behind, moving forward, “is everyone alright?” she asked.

Kisuke smiled the best he could at Yumiko. "We are fine thanks to Kita's arrival when she did." He then looked to Kyoraku, "we had a few surprise visitors. A couple we thought were still sleeping soundly in Las Noches."
Kisuke sighed and adjusted his hat, "Azayaka and Starrk. They brought Koga and a few of Sada's minions. Both me and Vacanze were attacked by the Sada impostures. It seems they want the book on Sumi's research I have done and the hougyoku." He covered his eyes with his hat.
"They blew out the back wall of my shop and took the safe."

Shunsui clicked his tongue in disapproval and looked back at Vale, his eyes warning the man that he would be asking questions soon enough. He turned back to the screen. “We’ve had our own fun, but I will get straight to the important parts. It took a while to sort the mess out.” He took a deep breath.
“Tell Yoruichi that Soi Fon is in critical condition. She vanished and we couldn't find her for a week. We don’t know who or how she was attacked. Sada also paid a visit here and tore apart the academy. Students are still missing. And finally,” he paused, “someone we thought was dead is alive. But I think I will let him address you on that.” He moved to the side.
