Vale smiled warmly. "I'm quite alright. I do a decent job tending to myself." He leaned back in his chair so that it's back was to the wall. "So, what is it that you want to know?"

Kita thought for a second and looked to Vale. "What made you a wander?" Before Vale could answer a soft beeping sounded in the main room. Kiat turned with a growl and looked over her shoulder then began to stand from her chair. "Hold that thought Vale. We have company."
Kita walked into the main room and activated the screen to the camera in the hall to see who it was that was either visiting or walk through. When she saw Yumiko and she was alone she was relieved and even slightly pleased to see her. Just as she swiped the screen closed a soft knock echoed through the room. She walked toward the door opening it slowly smiling brightly at Yumiko.
"Hello Yumiko. What brings you to the Fourth Tower?"

Yumiko smiled back. "I wanted to check on you now that I wasn't busy." She moved her book to her other hand. "I hope you don't mind." She was dressed in a white shihakusho, hakama pants, and a wide red sash around her waist, in which Mizue no Kagami was slipped through. She had pinned her hair up with a blue rose.

"No not at all." Kita told her stepping back and letting her enter the room. As Yumiko stepped in walking past her Kita noticed the sash around her waist. She growled to herself and trying to hide her annoyance, but failing she asked Yumiko.
"A new sash? I think I liked the old one better." Kita added trying to remove that slight bite in her tone. She walked toward the kitchen once more. "This way Yumiko." Kita gestured with her hand. "Vale is in the kitchen waiting for me. We were having tea. Would you like some?" Kita asked her looking slightly toward her as the two women walked into the kitchen.

"This is Yumiko Ryouma." Kita said looking toward Vale. She then looked to Yumiko. This this is Vale Tervaden."
Yumiko nodded politely at Vale then turned her attention back to Kita. "A cup of tea would be wonderful. Thank you Kita."
Kita nodded walking over to the counter getting another cup pouring a cup of tea for Yumiko as Yumiko went to the table and had a set with Vale.
Walking over to the table Kita set Yumiko's cup of tea before her. She took the set next to Yumiko and looked to Vale. "You can relax. She is not here to start trouble."

Vale grunted and kept his hand on the hilt of his blade. "Yumiko Ryouma." He took notice of her zanpakuto. "You're a Soul Reaper? What brings you to the sandy shores of Las Noches?"

"I am here because Lord Aizen found me," Yumiko replied simply with a faint blush of happiness on her cheeks. She ran a hand over the the back of her neck, where her hair hid the dark kiss mark from the night before.
She took a sip of the tea and looked back towards Kita. "I'm glad to see you're doing much better."

Kita looked to Yumiko and smiled. "Thank you, Yumiko. You healing me really helped me. Sumi was very pleased that you helped out, she said there was not much left for her to do when she regained her strength."
Kita took a sip of her tea resting the cup back to the table. "She was very impressed with your powers. She said she now understands why Aizen wanted you."

Yumiko's blush deepened slightly. "I'm flattered that a goddess sees that," she murmured. "I still have work to do before I am on a level equal with Aizen but I can protect him." She fell silent for a few moments, running her hands over the hot cup of tea.
"Vale Tervaden, what brings you to the Palace?"

Vale grunted again. "I am simply passing through. Or, at least I was before being appointed Kita's keeper. I have no intentions of staying here. When my time as her keeper is through, I will leave this place as I have done before." He bit his lip. "I am a wanderer."

Kita looked quickly to Vale. "Your leaving?!" Her head shook quickly. "Do it now then. Don't hang out here because of a order over me. Don't get any deeper than what you are right now. Leave. Please Vale." Kita shook her head again casting her eyes down to the table. "Please don't put yourself in any deeper." She looked up her worried and sincere eyes meeting with his.
"He won't let you leave if you don't do it now."

Yumiko sipped her tea. "I don't know of any reason to keep Tervaden here against his will. If you are a wanderer, then continue wandering. If you want to find a place to belong, stay. It's usually as simple as that," she murmured, half to herself. "Kita, you shouldn't be upset. Once you help my Lord with his goal, you could be fee again, too."

Vale shook his head. "I will not leave until my task is done. Your Lord Aizen can not keep me here. Besides..." Vale looked away from Kita. "There is no place for me to go." He eased a bit, letting his hand fall from his zanpakuto. He looked to Yumiko. "You are here out of choice. She is here against her will. I am here because there is nothing left for me to do."

Kita stood from her chair, she lifted her tea cup, turned and walked to the counter. "All different reasons, but all are still captive and none of us will ever be free again unless we take it."
She set her cup to the counter and turned looking at both Yumiko and Vale. "Get out while you can. Because if you don't." Kita shook her head casting her eyes down, "you never will."
