"I'm not going to be caught by a weird man in a hat, even if he can be a good teacher," she retorted firing off another Kido bolt and sidestepping another bakudo net from him. She leapt up and landed behind him and to the side. She then twirled, kicking at his sword hand with her reiatsu-powered leg. The sword wiggled. "Got it!"
She reached for the sword and backflipped as Kisuke's free hand shot out, clipping her on the chin. She fell forward but grabbed his arm, twisting her body to throw him over her.

Kisuke shifted his weight on her as he was lifted upward and landing right behind her. She then found herself airborne and flipped over him. Laying on her back Kisuke walked over to her leaning over her as she panted hard trying to catch the breath that was knocked from her from impact with the ground.
"The ground is not forgiving. It hurts when you hit it. It hits back." He turned and walked away from her. "Get up and do it again. This time better."

Karin sprang up. "You don't need to tell me that," she growled, fusing the reiatsu in her limbs before charging Kisuke again, this time with a series of head-on kicks and punches. Her eyes narrowed as Kisuke simply blocked each hit of her with his arms, that infernal hat still sitting just so on his head. She changed tactics and shot a shakaho at said hat - where it used to be as Kisuke grabbed her arm and flung the bolt away. Gritting her teeth, she used the leverage his attack gave her and swung her leg down on his shoulder.

Kisuke went to one knee holding his shoulder then slowly stood as he worked the attack out. "Better. Now lets see if you can change it up and attack me again with something new."
Kisuke stood looking at her she was about to move when he attacked first sending a Kido her way.

Karin cursed as she spun on her heal, the red bolt barely missing her arm. She flung her arm out then cursed again as Kisuke pushed it to the side and tried to hit her with his other hand. She glared in concentration as she tried to block the shopkeeper's punches and kicks, on the defensive and waiting for an opening. She grunted as Kisuke landed a punch to her shoulder and flung her backwards. She fell to her knee, breathing heavily.
"Damn it, old men shouldn't be that fast," she huffed, rubbing out the dull ache in her shoulder.

Kisuke chuckled adjusting his hat. "You know you should not talk about your father like that. You will break his heart." He stood his ground waiting for her to catch her breath.
"Come on. Dinner will done soon. I don't have all night." Kisuke told her with a wide grin.

"Oh no you don't," Karin muttered, standing again. "You don't get to eat dinner until I say we're done." She wobbled a moment, lowered herself into a position then nearly fell over as Kisuke tossed something at her. She caught the sheathed asauchi and looked back at him.
His fan popped out. "I know we haven't gotten anywhere with it before, but you never know it might spark at you too, and then we do have a starting spot." He withdrew his fan and pointed sheathed Benihime at her. "Just this once, I won't draw Hime as long as it's worth my while." His free hand indicated his hat. "Can you do it?"
Karin chuckled and drew the katana. She nearly dropped it as it did indeed spark at her. "Ouch!" she yelped, bracing it before herself. "What's your problem?" she grouched then sidestepped as Kisuke charged her.
"Hey!" she called, blocking and then swinging a counter-strike at him, her hold tightening on the foreign sword.

Kisuke pushed her back as he dodged, ducked and weaved in and out of her attacks. "Are you trying?" He taunted her. "I am not even breaking a sweat and here you look like you're ready to drop."
He slipped behind her causing her to spin and almost take a tumble, but she caught herself coming quickly at him again turning the chased into the chaser. Kisuke again dodged and weaved in and out of her attacks a crazy smirk across his lips.
"Come on you're a Kurosaki! What are you waiting for?! Me to show you how to do it?!" He taunted her again.

"That's it!" Karin snapped. "I'm taking the hat." She clasped the katana with one hand and shot out towards his chin with her now free fist.
She almost made a bad mistake as Kisuke copied her, his arm cutting at her side. She back-stepped, avoiding it and when the shrewd man nearly swept her feet out from under her, she shifted her weight. Damn, he's good. She swept her sword out of his lock and pushed him back, before back-pedaling at a retaliating lunge.
"Quit switching," she growled, using the adrenaline to swing her katana upwards and into his side. He blocked and she altered her hold, flinging the blade up towards his shoulder.
That's more like it, a voice purred in her mind.
Three things happened. Kisuke grabbed her sword wrist, a flame sparked from the blade, and Karin was flung into the sky.
Did I ... hear that?
She was too dazed to remember to hit the ground with her arm to cushion her fall and winced as the back of her head smashed against the ground, hard.
Fuck!

Kisuke walked over to her leaning over the top of her as she rolled to her back and looked up at him. He grinned and offered his hand. She took it as he helped her up on her feet. "It seems your ready." He shooed her off. "Go home. Eat dinner. Rest. Reflect and come back tomorrow. We start first thing tomorrow morning. If you're one minute late." He grinned adjusting his hat.
"You won't like what happens~" He said in a sing song tone and a wide grin.

Karin rubbed the back of her head, feeling the lump there. "Yeah, yeah, I'll be here. It's Ichi-nii's who's a slacker, not me." She yelped as a hand plopped on her head. She whirled around. "That hurt, bak-" Ichigo raised an eyebrow. "Who's the slacker?" he taunted, holding an ice pack above his head and her bentou box in the other - empty. "Hey! That was mi-" A wave of dizziness struck her and she stumbled backwards.
"Easy there~" Kisuke called out, catching her. "Kind of young to be falling into my lap though," he teased. Karin's eyes narrowed and she ignoring that phrase, looking upwards at both of them. "How long were we fighting?" she asked. "A good three hours, give or take," Ichigo replied. "You didn't even acknowledge or stop long enough to notice me so I didn't think you were going to eat the food." "That and it was Yuzu's," Karin grouched. "That too," Ichigo shrugged. He winked and turned around. "Come on, hop on. You'll need your strength for tomorrow with this kind of guy." "I don't need-" Kisuke hoisted her onto her brother's back with a wide grin. "He's right. You'll need all your energy here." He flipped fan out. "You'll want to rest up. I wouldn't want to kill my new victim." Karin rolled her eyes and winced as Kisuke tapped her forehead with something, the asauchi. "This is yours now," he stated. "It's useless for anyone else."
She fit the belt haphazardly over her shoulder, feeling groggy, and held the ice pack to her head. ""Let's go home, Ichigo. I don't want to catch his weirdness." - End RP - "A Difficult Return":

"Earning her Zanpakuto's Name": (continued)
Karin stood up after doing a few stretches and made a face as Ichigo drew his zanpakuto. "Do I really have to keep using the asauchi?" she grumbled.
Ichigo chuckled. "Come on, how is it going to wake up if you ignore it?" He grinned. "Come on, I know you've been wanting to knock me over. Maybe today will be your lucky day, after all I'm still tired." He yawned theatrically.
Karin shook her head but retrieved the stubborn blade.
You better cooperate this time, or I am going to start getting mad at you, she muttered at it.
She drew the blade and braced herself before disappearing behind her brother and attacking his side.

Ichigo moved his sword between his side and Karin's sword. He then raised his foot and planted it in her side, sending her back.
It was hard fighting his sister. He had to fight himself not to hold back against her. If he did, he'd never hear the end of it from her. So he did his best to fight her full on without hurting her.
She rushed back up at him and he shunpo'd around her and raised Zangetsu, bringing it down at her back.

Karin turned at the last minute and braced her asauchi against Zangetsu. Come on, sword, talk to me, so I can win here, she mumbled to herself. She used her light weight to her advantage, sliding to the ground and sweeping Ichigo’s leg out from under him and slashing with her asauchi as soon as the pressure fell away from her blade. She cursed as Ichigo shunpo’ed away and she sprang up, looking around for him.

Ichigo rushed up at her from below, his sword raised back. He sped up and swung at her as he passed her up. She managed to block last minute, wincing. He came back down at her, swinging again.
"Come on, Karin. You can do better than this. Get off of defense."
