Kita looked to Vale still wearing a soft smile. "Hmm..." She hummed looking into his soft gray eyes as she steeped toward him.
Letting her hands slide under his arms, her fingertips gently touching the bare flesh of his torso, they softly traveled to the center of his back following his spine, her arms now wrapped firmly around him. She felt him shiver slightly to her tender touch as she let her fingertips caress his soft skin.

"How are you feeling?" he asked wrapping his arms around her waist. "Does anything hurt?" Tugging her kimono open, revealing her bare form beneath it. His eyes narrowed at the bite marks that riddled her body. He pulled the kimono from her body.
Growling beneath his breath, Vale turned away from Kita and walked toward his bedroom.

Confused as she watched him walk away from her she pulled her kimono back around her and walked toward the bedroom where Vale retreated to. When she entered the room she found him sitting to the edge of the bed. She walked over to him kneeling down in front of him, her hands resting to his thighs just above his knees. She did not understand what was wrong. Why did he just walk away from her?
"Vale..." She tried to look into his eyes, but his head hung too low so her attempt was fruitless. "Vale? What's wrong?" Her tone soft and concerned.Moved

"The Last Six Months": (continued) Kita tinkered around in Vale’s room picking up and cleaning as the day past slowly. With her pregnancy Vale had limited her in what she could and could not do, even out and about walking the palace he made sure someone was watching over her. So it was always an Ayakashi or Vale himself that was by her side or not far off watching her closely. Vale was in and out a lot, always gone, busy with Soul Society or the Human realm or Lord Aizen. Always planning or plotting, always moving forward toward their goal. Toward their goal of taking over the Godly realm one day. A day she dreaded. For once they take control of that realm there will be nothing or no one that could stop them. With Vale’s time taken up like that Kita spent a lot of time with Sojiro. Something she loved dearly, but it came with an annoyance, Gin Ichimaru.
It seemed even with her request Vale took to Aizen, Gin would not stay away from Sojiro. It annoyed her greatly, but it was not something she was going to have Gin done away with over. As long as Sojiro still listened to her over things and not rebel she was fine with Gin interacting with Sojiro. After all, every boy needs their father, even if their father was a cold blooded killer and a Snake.
She just wished Gin would stay away from her, but it seemed for some odd reason she would always find herself being tormented by the man in some form or fashion and it always seemed to happen when she was alone, like he knew. Not that it mattered or he would get far with her since Sumi’s powers were always at hand, but it was like he relished in the fact that she could and did push him around when he messed with her. It was beyond her why the man was like that, but he was. However, even with the darkness there was always that shimmering lining. Yumiko…
After getting over her initial embarrassment and shame and A LOT of begging on her part, Vale allowed Kita to start seeing and hanging out with her best friend again. Yumiko was always the highlight of her day. The two always had something to talk about or laugh over, and if they didn’t, time in the kitchen, cooking or baking, worked out well for them too.
This was not her ideal place to be or live, but she was close to family and friends, and with it this way, she could make sure they were cared for the best she could. Though, the times she did pay them a visit, strange whispers and even words of advice and strange memories she heard them talking about swelled her mind. Was she losing her mind? Some of the things they said to her involving someone she found as a great annoyance. Could they be true? Or was the Maze affecting their minds, or maybe… it was her mind that was affected by all this? No matter who was affected by what there was no way to find out for sure. Unless she wanted to ask Yumiko, and she was afraid it might bring up saddened memories for her since she was with Vale back when they were in Karakura. So she just waited. Waited for a break when she could talk to someone that would know all the answers.
The question was though, when would her father rear his head, and bring an end to her family and friends' suffering under Lord Aizen’s ruling?Fade

"Lost Companion":It had been three days, Kita tinkering around the room after returning back from the Maze after another healing and checking on Ichigo. Vale had still not returned back to the room since he disappeared after the attack on her from Aizen. A memory she could not remember fully, but was aware of it because Sumi had told her about it.
Putting away the clean and folded things she grabbed one of Vale’s shirts from the bed and looked at it. She smiled sadly as she lifted the shirt; she took in the fresh scent of it. Vale’s scent all but gone. She sighed again, turned and sat down to the bed with a heavy plop the shirt now in her lap. She looked over to his pillow and picked it up pulling it to her face she inhaled deeply. Her eyes closed slowly as Vale’s scent filled her very soul. The pillow and her hands quickly dropped to her lap.
“Where are you? Why haven’t you come back?”
She exhaled slowly the pillow being flung back into place as she stood quickly, Vale’s shirt falling to the floor. She lifted her hand as a Godly gate opened. She stepped in as it closed behind her. She was going to find him and find out why he had not been around. Moved

"Testing the Waters": (Continued) Kita walked back in the room her heart still racing as she thought of the training between Gin and Sojiro. She had watched them enough in their training that she knew in her heart Gin would never harm Sojiro to the point of a serious injury, but there was still that chance of a freak accident. Just like that day she intervened when Sojiro almost fell on his sword. She sighed trying to push it out of her mind as she removed her haori draping it over the back of the couch and went to the kitchen. Cooking would help set her mind at ease. Some.
She quickly got busy and whipped up a good hot meal for them. Rice, fish, and vegetables, she even sliced up some fresh fruit and was able to bake a small cake for them. While she waited for the last few things to finish she pored herself a glass of wine and took a seat at the kitchen table. Her mind started to drift back.
Back to times she thought she had put out of her mind forever, but now, today, with Tsukiro's question in the Maze the other day. They had returned more vivid then when she had decided to cast them away and never look back. She watched the wine in her glass as the sweet liquid swirled as she rocked it slowly in her hand. Her mind far far off as smiles crossed her lips, tears streaked her cheeks, anger boiled her blood and fear froze it solid.
As another tear trickled down her cheek she started, almost dropping her wine glass when she heard the door to the main room open and Sojiro's voice call out to her. She dried her tears quickly placing her glass to the table and stood pulling at her dress to straighten it.
"In here sweetie," She called to him.

Sojiro entered the kitchen, a sour frown on his face. “Mom, I’m sorry…. he refused to give me all the answers on the way, so it might be a while before—”
He didn’t get a chance to finish his statement as his mother threw herself into his arms, hugging him tight and then cupping his cheeks. She smiled and ran her hands over him as she inspected all the rips in his training outfit.
“Mom,” Sojiro groaned, “we’ve been over this. Daichi wouldn’t let me stay injured. In spite of how it looks, I really am okay.” He pulled himself free of her coddling. “And I need to tell you a couple things.” He hesitated and then reached up to pat his hair down.

Kita was petting his hair down looking at him as she shook her head with a bright smile across her lips. She was about to say something when a familiar voice called out to her across the kitchen.
"He is fifteen Kitten. Stop coddling the man."
Her heart clenched in her chest as she looked over to none other then Gin Ichimaru as he strolled into the room. She looked back to Sojiro with questioning eyes. "I guess this is what you wanted to tell me?'
Sojiro sighed. "Yes. He has some things to share about zanpakutos after mine changed but distracted me from that question with news on Kenji." His eyes narrowed slightly. "Kenji's in jail. You need to get him out."
"He what?!" Kita looked quickly to Gin. "Why is he there?!" She ask her tone demanding.

Gin chuckled and leaned against the wall. “Who knows~” he purred. “The little birdies aren’t that specific on the details. Something to do with his father and the King of Las Noches.” He tilted his head, looking away from them both. “Maybe they went head to head, and Kenji’s paying the price for that little detour. Then again, it's not like you have to worry about him. He's an Urahara. Maybe he's there for his own devices."
He glanced back to his captive audience.
"Intriguing little detail, isn't it?"

Kita rolled her eyes at Gin as she looked to Sojiro again cupping his cheek in her palm before she turned from hearing the timer ding for the cake. "I made your favorite for dinner sweetheart."
Gin's grin widened as he pushed off the wall. "That was nice of you, but no need for the words of endearment. I know you still crave me."
Kita turned quickly to look at him as he stepped toward her with mischievous eyes dancing. A firm hand shot up and landed in the center of his chest.

As Kita slipped away behind him, Sojiro’s eyes narrowed at his father . “Can’t you leave her alone for one minute?” he snapped. He looked over his shoulder to check on his mother before facing Gin and stopping him moving forward again. “I mean it, Ichimaru. You’re to leave her alone!”
Gin chuckled and vanished, making Sojiro stumble reappearing on the couch. “Very well, I will have dinner before dessert.”
Sojiro growled and folded his arms.

Placing her hand to her sons shoulder from behind, she leaned forward and whispered to him. "Don't let him get to you. When he sees that he does it gets worse. He is like a child looking for attention."
When Sojiro turned to look at her she smiled warmly and nodded. "Trust me. I know. I have dealt with his playful, hateful and somewhat annoying ways for awhile now." She giggled softly walking over grabbing the dishes needed to set the table for dinner. Sojiro trying to help her when she chased him off to get cleaned up. Once the table was set Kita walked over to the doorway of the kitchen going into the main room an empty wine glass in hand.
She looked at Gin as she leaned in the doorway. He closed the book he was pretending to read and looked her way. "Tea or wine for your pleasures tonight, Mister Ichimaru?"
He tilted his head on his hand. "Which is more appropriate for the ocsasion? If the decision was yours, dearie?"
Kita chuckled softly shaking her head as she pushed up off the wall, turned and walked back into the kitchen. "I am drinking wine. It helps me relax in this hell hole called Las Noches. The meal has nothing to do with it." She let the empty glass rock between her fingers. "Come to think of it tea..." She turned to find Gin directly behind her. She stepped back a single step putting more space between them. "...might be best for you."

Gin smirked down at her, taking the glass from her. As she reached for it again, he turned, making her spin with him and then took a step back, leaving her back against the wall. He chuckled. “Are you sure Las Noches is the only reason you want to relax, dearie?” His fingers cinched at her waist, making her start and for Gin’s eyes to glitter behind his silver hair. He caressed her hip. “Wine really is a great way to start the evening.”
“I said you were getting tea, and let go of me,” Kita hissed. When Gin didn't budge, she flared her shield, pushing him backwards. She smoothed down her dress. "Cut it out. I don’t want Sojiro getting worried.” She turned on her heel.
Gin snickered softly as he walked up behind her and leaned down to her ear. “Are you running away?"
“What do you mean?”
“Rumor has it that a certain protector has abandoned you.” He leaned against the wall as she glared. “That means you may need to seek comfort in another place. Which," he snickered, "could lead to confrontations. All the more reason to be relaxed."

She smirked at his accusations as he lifted the wine bottle refilling her glass on the counter and poured himself a glass as well. Before his glass was half full she snatched the wine bottle and shook her head.
"I am not taking applications. If that is what you're asking. Vale did not abandon me. So therefor there is no position to fill." She set the wine bottle to the counter as she turned to look at him. His piercing blue eyes catching hers as he stepped forward pinning her against the counter. His free hand lifted as he brushed his fingertips across her cheek brushing her rave hair back at the same time. He pushed forward his face but a breath away from hers.
“I didn’t give you leave to run off, dearie~”
Kita looked straight into his eyes her hands going to the center of his chest as she started to push him back. "You did. Fifteen years ago." She ducked down under his arm and skirted around him.

Sojiro exited his room just as Ichimaru grabbed Kita's arm and whispered something he was too far to hear. Though he did hear what she said in return.
"You could have come with us."
Ichimaru scoffed and tugged her closer, his voice once again too low to understand.
They were talking about the past, but his father was taking his invitation too far. Even if Sojiro wondered if there was something more between them. If either Tervaden or Ichimaru was good for his mother. He didn't want to hear her cry.
"Horin," he whispered. Just as Ichimaru raised his hand up to his mother's cheek, a golden rope wrapped around his wrist. The slitted eyes focused on him. Sojiro folded his arms, still holding the Kido rope. "If I have to tie a hand behind your back to keep you from tormenting my mother, I will." He canceled the Kido. "I am not a child and I will protect her."
