Sojiro looked down at his glass of milk, thinking back to his conversation with his father. He looked to Kadaj, who had returned to munching on cookies but was frowning, too. He rubbed the back of his head. “Mom, I know Set- Vale loves you, and I know you love him, but Dad loved you. If it was just me he had been after, I’d see him more often than training. He would have come after me when he finally woke that time, not stay with you and continue to kiss you – even though there was a party to get to. And would he have even gone to a gathering like that if you hadn’t wanted it? He’d stay on the roof before. “
He looked up and reached over to squeeze her shoulder. “Maybe he did it in the wrong way, but since he got you trapped in Las Noches, he did everything for you. He didn’t want to take away your happiness because he was too late. He didn’t want to hurt Daj. Or you. Love… can be a burden as well as a beacon. “
He took a bite of a cookie. “I- I sometimes feel that way with Makino. I don’t want to bother her, and sometimes, I stay away. Which hurts her…” He shook his head and focused on the matter at hand.
“And if it was a game, he wouldn’t have messed up as terribly as he did in Las Noches and with the argument neither of you have spoken about. He wouldn’t have made that mistake after everything.”
“Mom..." He looked up again. “Please believe that he loved you, too.”

She turned fully to look at her son and was about to speak when all the blood rushed from her face, and the words she spoke were a mere whisper. "Don't you dare die on me Vale Tervaden."
Her arm lifted to open the Godly gate before anything else could be spoken and the room emptied. Kadaj, Sojiro and Kita were no longer in the room. However, the three did not arrive at the same location.Quietus | SURPRISE!!

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 403 "Relation": Vale stood in front of the full length mirror. He ran a hand through his now short hair. He had cut it much shorter than usual. But decided to keep his goatee. Besides the change in hair, Vale did indeed look different. He looked older. He looked angrier. For the first time in a long time though, he felt like himself. Vale sighed. "Hm..." he hummed as he walked over to the couch. He sat on the edge. It had been a couple of weeks since he had his row with Kenji. He also hadn't seen his son since the night before that. He was sure that, at this point, all of the Urahara gang knew he was responsible for Kenji's injuries. They'd be angry. And, he was sure that Kita would be unwilling to allow him to see Kadaj any time soon. Then, there was Yumiko. What was he to do there? Vale leaned back on the couch, his hand folded behind his head. There came an alert. He had installed cameras at his apartment in Karakura to keep an eye on the place...And, on Kenji should he have decided to go back. Vale picked up the small screen the was resting on the table. The screen showed a video of a silver haired teenaged boy. "Hello?" said Vale. "Hi." The boy looked around trying to find where the voice was coming from. "I'm Ide. Ide Hasegawa." "Hello, Ide." Vale looked at the boy curiously. "What can I do for you?" "Um...You know my mother, Kaya Hasegawa." said the boy. He continued to looked around. "She...uh...She said that she saw you back here a couple of weeks ago. And, that I should reach out to you. You can help me. Well, that...that's what she told me." Vale pushed himself to the edge of the couch. He tried hard to remember who Kaya Hasegawa was. But he couldn't put a face to the name. "Sorry, kid. I don't know a Kaya. And, I'm not sure how I can help you when we've never met." The boy sighed. "Uh...I see things that other people can't. I can feel things. It's weird, kind of. I guess...Oh!" Ide dug around in his chest pack and pulled out a small photo. He waved it around. "This is her. My mom." "Just..." Vale tried to focus on the photo. "Hold it still! Right out in front of you! Fuck!" "Sorry!" Vale lowered the screen as he now had a face to go with the name. And a memory too. Kaya Hasegawa was a young lady he knew during his time in the human realm. Their relationship was brief - They would satisfy each others needs then part ways until the next time they needed each other. "Where?" Vale cleared his throat. "Where is your mother?" "Oh, she's fine." answered the boy. "I...I just thought you could help." Vale cleared his throat again. He grew quiet as he thought. It couldn't be..."Ide...Don't go anywhere..." Vale sprang to his feet. "Just...just give me a minute....I'll be right there..." Moved
