“Return of the White Knight:” Sumi appeared in the main area of room as Kita sat to the couch reading, she looked up at her, Kita’s eyes filled with curiosity as she looked at her.“He has returned.” Sumi told her bluntly.“He?” Kita questioned as she shifted to become more comfortable. “Ukitake,” Kita’s look was now more intense as she marked her page and the book closed with a snap and she stood from the couch. “How is that possible?" her hand lifted making a swiping motion in front of her. "It doesn't matter. If he gets in the way he will fall. Again.” Sumi watched her as she turned her back on her and walked toward her and Vale’s room. “You know as well as I that you could not stand against Ukitake. Do not think you are fooling anyone with that act, Kita.” Kita turned quickly her long raven hair fanning out around her as it fell back in place at her back. “I will do what I must to keep my place where I belong.”“Will you? Does that include killing your first born?” Sumi asked her as she started to fade from the room. “Stop fooling yourself Kita. You will no more stand against Ukitake then you will your own son in this war.” She grew silent then spoke again. “Go back to where you belong, Kita. Go back to the human realm.”Kita growled as her hands balled into tight fists. “Bitch! How dare you! I am where I belong.” Kita turned quickly once more and stormed into her and Vale’s room slamming the door behind her.

"Necessary Steps": Kita sat on the couch with Kadaj as he cuddled up next to her, her hand to his head as she caressed the top of his head. His silky black hair combing through her fingers as they sat and talked. She had just talked to Sumi moments before and she had told her what Vale had Kadaj do with Sojiro. Kita was angered with the actions Vale had little Kadaj take on his older brother, but she held it together and buried it so not effect their son. She had ask him what happen while she was asleep and Kadaj was informing her of everything that took place. When he finished telling his story he looked up at her with a frown on his face."Is Toji weally a bad man now, mommy?" She shook her head, "No sweetie Sojiro is not a bad man. He would never hurt you or me. Not even daddy. He is just confused right now and he wanted mommy to talk to him." "But why you seeping when daddy and me get there?" his head shook, "you no seep in da middle of da day." "Sojiro made mommy go to sleep. She was doing some strange things and it sacred him. So he made me go to sleep so I would not hurt myself or anyone else." Kita explained to him. He nodded his little head sadly and looked back down at his hands. "I no can bring him back, mommy." He looked up to her quickly, "You do it? You bring Toji back, Mommy. You can do anyting."
Kita giggled softly nodded her head. "Sumi and I will bring him back. I have to wait for your father to get here first. I can't leave you here alone after all." She then looked up hearing the door open seeing Vale walk in the room. Kadaj jumped up and ran to his father quickly wrapping his arms around his leg. Vale chuckled and lifted his son up into his arms. Kita stood and looked to Vale with a blank expression.

Vale shook his head as he stood in front of Kita. "Sojiro is fine. He's in a safe place."
"Safe?" snapped Kita. "Do you know where Kadaj sent him?"
"Yes." Vale nodded as he crossed his arms over his chest. "And, its not the same place he send the others. And, no, Kita. I'm not trying to kill your son. I am trying to draw him out."
"Who?!"
"Ichimaru." Vale walked passed Kita, shedding his jacket as he walked toward the room. "Teroa dissolved him or something. Noya told me that Teroa's power is imperfect because he's still a baby. If he knew how to control his power, he'd be just like he's father. Spiritual pressure so powerful it disintegrates people around them. Noya says that he merely broke down his body, leaving the soul in tact. I don't know how to explain the shit." said Vale, turning to face his wife. "Your son has all of your fucking stubbornness. He wouldn't have come willingly."

Her eyes followed Vale as he walked across the floor to the room. "You're making no sense, Vale and Sumi is going to take me to Sojiro so I can take him home." Her head shook as she walked over to Kadaj.
"I still can't believe you had Kadaj do this to this older brother. He is three, he loves his brother. Don't turn him against him with lies." She leaned over and kissed the top of Kadaj's head.
"Mommy will be back after she gets Sojiro and takes him home." She stood and looked Vale's way again as he stopped at the door of the room and turned and looked at her.
"You will not do this again." She demanded of him. She turned from Kadaj stepping away from him so she could open the Godly gate. Looking to her husband she smirked. "And if you wanted Gin so badly why did you not just ask? I could have went and gotten him for you." She snapped her fingers as the gate opened, only Vale was left animated.

"You will not, Kita." Vale stepped up to Kita, grabbing her arm and pulling her toward him. "I understand your strength. And, I share your stubbornness. But, leave this alone. Let this happen. It needs to."
"No it doesn't!"
"Kita! Please. Leave this be. Let this happen. Please."

Kita jerked away from Vale with an angered glare. "Let what be? What do you want to happen, Vale? You want Sojiro to think we all have turned against him?" She pointed at little Kadaj.
"You had his little brother send him away. Sumi told me I was talking nonsense when he knocked me out. I worried him. He already thinks I turned against him and everything I ever stood for and believed in. Now he probably thinks we have turned little Kadaj against him. Why? Why do I need to leave it be? You give me one good, God damn reason why I should leave my first born some place you have no clue if he is safe or not."
She crossed her arms over her chest waiting for his reason as she watched him sigh and comb his fingers through his white hair. "I am not going to wait all day."

Vale shook his head with a smirk. "I am your husband. Not one of these halfwitted assholes you call family and friends. You can cross your arms over your chest and flash your arrogance like a red banner in the sky. I don't care. But, you will not defy me. You will not go get Sojiro. Because, you know that you can not continue to coddle the boy. Or, to protect him from the perils of this world. He is his father's child. This is all apart of the legacy his father has built for him."
"I'm going to get him!"
"From where, exactly?" questioned Vale. "Do you think I've not planned for this? Sojiro was brought to this palace. And, the moment he got here, he was taken by Teroa. He now resides in the same place as his father. But, he's far more obtainable than Gin."
"I don't understand you, Vale. Why are you doing this?! Why do you hate him the way you do?!"
Vale chuckled as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Because of you. I mirror emotion and perception. I've learned to distinguish between my own emotions and others. And, the hate I have for him, is not my own."

"I don't give a crap about Gin. Do what you want with him, but you will not treat Sojiro like you treat his father. You claim him as your own, but you teat him nothing like you do Kadaj. And don't you dare give me the excuse that Kadaj is only three."
She closed the Godly gate and walked toward the main room door. "Gin will come no matter where you have Sojiro. So that means he can stay here in the room with us." She opened the door and looked to Vale with narrowed eyes.
"If I can't go get him, Vale. Then you make that happen. Sojiro is to be in this room by the time I return. If he is not here by then I will go get him myself." She turned her look from him to leave.
"If anyone is being defying here it is you against me and Sojiro. You promised to love and take care of Sojiro like he was our own." She stepped forward. "Your failing that task, Vale."

Vale smirked, folding his arms over his chest as he watched her turn back and exit through the door. "You make things so easy, love." he muttered. He tilted his head back, looking to the high ceiling. "How quickly can you get this done?" he sighed heavily as he looked to the ground. A voice chuckled as Tervaden shook his head. "What a foolish question."Vale chuckled and looked toward the door of his bedroom. "No more foolish than what is about to be done." "Are you sure you want to do this?""Uncertainty...and inconsistency...they are a part of my very nature. And, this must be done." "Yes...But..."Vale raised a hand as he turned toward the door. "Keep them safe....please..." He glanced over his shoulder, smirking as he looked to the bedroom door. "I'll be back." he whispered seconds before disappearing. - END RP - "Heart to Heart Talk":

"After Dinner":After a quiet dinner where Kita had made stir fry, Sojiro and his mother cleaned up. As they returned to the table, Kadaj bounced up and asked for cookies now. At first, their mother was set on only giving him a couple. But Kadaj screwed up his face and begged for more than three so he can grow faster. Laughing, she gave Sojiro the jar. “You decide while I dry the pans,” she huffed, ruffling Kadaj’s head. “Hey!” Kadaj pouted. And then, those wide eyes were on him. "Toji???" Chuckling, Sojiro gave him six and got up to get milk. Pouring milk for both of them, he munched on a cookie, too. Thinking of Makino. “Penny for your thoughts?” “Huh?” His mother sat down at her seat. “You’re thinking about your beautiful girlfriend, aren’t you?” Sojiro blushed and Kadaj giggled. Sojiro rubbed his head in retaliation. “I was hoping she’s not worrying too much. It wasn’t a good time for me to disappear from her.” He lowered his head, cheeks flaming further in guilt. More than I already have been.

"Hm..." his mother hummed. "If you were that worried about her why did you come to my side? Hmm?" She cocked her head slightly as she looked on at him from her seated position.
When his eyes flashed, like his fathers normally did -- in his irritation at her -- she giggled softly at him. "I am a big girl now. I don't need a baby sitter. Not to mention I am stronger then any Soul Reaper that walks these days. Not to mention, stronger than the Hollows that haunt these palace walls."
Sojiro huffed as he lifted his cup of milk and took a drink. "I have the right to want to see my mother. Especially, when she just up and leaves with no notice."
Kita nodded, "I will give you that." She paused for a brief second. "Alright then, what is wrong with your little lady that has you worried? She is a strong girl. I saw that in her when she and I met." Sojiro looked at her with a tilt of head. "When Sada brought her to Aizen and I broke up their little visit? ... Has so much happened you can't keep it straight any more?"

Sojiro sighed. “Aizen nearly killed her mother and Captain Kuchiki at the Fall Festival. Right in front of her. And when we were supposedly ready for him. He wounded her eldest brother, too. Kin recovered, but the captain and her mother are still at Fourth Division. Stable but unconscious. She’s trying to be brave and not despair. And yet, I haven’t been there for her. Or been much help because - because…” He fell silent.
He didn’t know how she would feel about his father now.
“Because I’ve been preoccupied with my family breaking up,” he finally stated in as neutral a voice as he could manage.
Kadaj banged his cup on the table. “Toji sad! I no like!”
Sojiro chuckled and hugged his baby brother. “I’ll be okay…” he murmured. He took a breath. "Her family, even now, seems so strong. They received such a direct attack on their family unit and they're still together. But you left .... and Dad... It's been too much." He held his brother close. "I wanted to distance myself from it. And that meant... putting distance between myself and her..."
Though I didn't mean to.

Kita looked at him confused. "So their strength as a family unit scared you because the family you have, even though broken and still strong was not there for you?"
She shook her head, "That sounds very inconsiderate of you Sojiro. When did that trait slip in to your personality? I don't remember me teaching you something like that or letting you witness something like that in your life time. Family is everything. It is what gives us our strength. Why do you think me and your father are still alive? We never gave up. No matter how bleak things seem to get."
She sighed, "but since I found out I was only part of the game to your father it seems he has given up. He has not changed a bit."
She looked away from him. "He is still only in it for himself."

Sojiro growled and set Kadaj down, his eyes flashing. “Dad LOVED you! Until-” He bit his lip. “He always did! I don’t know why he didn’t marry you, but you can’t think it was just a game. It- it would have been so much easier to stop- stop caring.” He lowered his head. “And give up.” His guilt was catching up to him again.
And the grief.
He swallowed thickly and raised his head. “If it was just a game, why did he stick around when there was no danger? Why did he want to hold me? And why would you be the first name on his lips when he woke from-”
He halted, realizing that his mother was crying and his brother was tugging on his shirt for him to stop.
His head fall again. "Sorry."

"Until?... Until what Sojiro? Until he finally got what he wanted. Free of Aizen and Las Noches, and everything you just stated was an act. Your father fooled Aizen for decades. He was good at it. To keep the act going and believable he had to do those things. He could not stop mid way just because."
She shook her head and stood quickly from her chair. "Your father did not come right out and say it, but when I ask him about it he gave me that cocky ass grin of his and fell silent. That was enough prof for me to know it was nothing but a game for him and I was his main game piece. Having a son born and getting free of Aizen was his goal and prize. A son to carry on his legacy and the Ichimaru name and set it straight from the mess he put it in with following Aizen. He knew I would not allow you to fall into the darkness. he knew this was a win win situation for him."
Her hands clenched at her sides as she turned away from her two boys and wiped away a tear. She then started to chuckle lightly. "I guess I deserved what he did to me. I used him as well to survive while I was a captive of Aizen's. But I should have seen it when he made me promise him not to kill Aizen when I got stronger." She scoffed.
"He said he did not want me to dirty my hands. He did not want blood on them like his and to let him finish him off when the time was right. Of course that was the case. The sooner we were rid of Aizen his game would end. He could not have that. Not until you were born and he knew I would never take you away from him. He sucked me in deeper making me wait eight years for him to come out of his coma to only be taken back to Las Noches and losing him again. And again. And yet again."
Her hands covered her face. "I would have followed him to the ends of the earth. To Hell and back and all I was was a piece in his little game."
