"Paperwork or Torture?":Yorusuke sat at his desk both hand clenched in his hair as he looked down at the file in front of him. It had been weeks since he was assigned as Fifth seat in his division. He did not want to let Captain Kuchiki down nor did he want to let Lieutenant Abarai down. He was the one that referred him to the Captain. He had to do right by both of them. He was more then two thirds through the files, thanks to him sorting them before hand. He took the more simple fixes first then the more difficult. Then the ones he believed he might need help with. He was finally on the last pile and right at half, of finishing them off. He pulled his hands from his hair and closed the file, standing from his desk. He stretched out, arms over his head with a rather loud groan of delight from stretching out his stiff muscles. "Maybe a good meal and a better workout before I come back and resume my paperwork will help." He shadowed punched and smiled. "Nothing like getting the old blood pumping to get the brains gears turning." He stepped away from his desk pushing in his chair. Stepping toward the door he exited his office hoping this break did the trick. --END RP-- "Escape to the Godly Realm":

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 481 "Prodding for a Story": (continued) She approached the office of Yorusuke Nagano, the Fifth Seat of the Sixth Division, who had always been a reliable source of information. The door was slightly ajar, and Fuu could hear the low murmur of voices from within. She knocked lightly before stepping inside, her presence acknowledged with a nod from Yorusuke. Captain Kuchiki standing in front of Yorusuke's desk."Fuu, what brings you here today?" Yorusuke asked, his tone as formal as ever. He was seated behind his desk, a mountain of paperwork before him, yet his piercing gaze never wavered. She bowed to the captain and turned her attention back to Yorusuke. "I hoping to get a little information, Yorusuke," Fuu replied, her voice steady. "Very well. I will leave you to your discussion," Byakuya said, his tone calm and composed. The two bowed respectfully as he exited the room, his presence as commanding as ever. He did not go far, however; instead, he positioned himself just outside Yorusuke's office, his keen ears attuned to the conversation within. His interest was piqued by Fuu's unexpected visit, and he intended to discern her true purpose for being there. "So what kind of information are you looking for, Fuu?" Yorusuke asked as he straightened the papers on his desk. "There are rumors about the 'Noble Bandit' and the Masanobu Assassins working together. The latest heist ended in bloodshed, and the method matches the Masanobus' style. I need to know if this has happened before, and if so, who strikes first—the bandit or the assassins?"

Yorusuke leaned back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. "This is not the first time such rumors have surfaced, but the involvement of the Masanobu Assassins is new. There have been instances where the 'Noble Bandit' appeared to be working alone, but the recent pattern of attacks suggests a more complex situation."
Fuu scribbled notes furiously on her tablet, her mind piecing together the puzzle. "Do you think the Masanobus are using the 'Noble Bandit's' notoriety to cover their tracks, or is it the other way around?"
"It's difficult to say," Yorusuke admitted. "Both groups operate with a level of secrecy that makes it challenging to discern their true motives. However, it's possible that the assassins are leveraging the chaos created by the bandit to achieve their own goals."
Fuu's curiosity burned brighter. She needed to dig deeper, to uncover the truth behind these intertwined threads of crime and mystery. "Is there anyone else who might have more information? Someone who has dealt with either the bandit or the assassins more closely?"
Yorusuke considered this for a moment before nodding. "There is one person who might have the answers you seek—" The door to Yorusuke's office slid open cutting him short. "Captain Kuchiki..." Both Yorusuke and Fuu were surprised to see the captain again.

When Byakuya returned to the office of his 5th seat, his eyes moving between the woman’s notebook and his officer. “Seireitei Communication will have to look for a different story this week. There’s another riot in the eastern Rukongai. Take a squad to deal with it."
"But sir," Officer Ayumu called out, "the situation with the 'Noble Bandits' has everyone's attention. The people want an official update."
Captain Kuchiki's eyes narrowed. "There are more important things to write about now than rumors that we haven't been able to confirm. It takes time to make use of any pattern unearthed." He paused deliberately. "If it is, in fact, a pattern. I will not have anything further published until we have had time to discover the truth lest someone else exploit the facts for their own gain. Officer Nagano, you have ten minutes."
The noble captain turned and left the office once more.

Yorusuke stood with a bow to his captain, "Yes, sir." quickly gathering his things he looked over at Fuu. "Sorry Fuu, you head the Captain." he gave her a warm smile. "But if anything comes up, you'll be the first one I contact." He stepped from around his desk, his hand gently resting to her arm as he leaned in and kissed her cheek. "Meet me at the Watering Hole after work." He whispered in her ear and drew back with a warm smile. "I better get going you heard Captain Kuchiki. Ten minutes." He swept past her sliding the door for her and exited out behind her. His office door closed as the two parted ways in the hall. Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: The ChaosEpisode 505 "Will The Real Target Please Stand Up": It was early morning, the soft rustle of paper echoed in the dimly lit room, punctuated by the occasional creak of a wooden chair. Yorusuke sat at his desk, the weight of the past two weeks pressing heavily on his shoulders. Before him lay several reports, each detailing the latest strikes by the Robin Hood group. His brow furrowed as he meticulously reviewed the information, cross-referencing times, locations, and victims. "Three hits in two weeks... no casualties, just theft," Yorusuke muttered to himself, tapping his pen against the edge of the desk. "They’ve never been this consecutive before. So why now?" His thoughts drifted to the Masanobus, a name that apparently has been whispered in the shadows of the Gotei 13 for many centuries. Something Yorusuke would have never known if not for Fuu Ayumu of the Ninth Division. For the last few weeks Third Seat, Fuu Ayumu had been digging in the Daireishokairo and publicly, for anything she could find on the new string of robberies that had plagued the Seireitei, she was determined to help the Sixth Division break this case. What she found was more than expected, and after reading the report that she gave him, Yorusuke now believed that the speculation that the assassins were somehow tangled in this web of thievery, was wrong. He could not see how they could truly be involved, this was merely a ploy to drag their name through the mud. He leaned back in his chair, eyes narrowing as he considered the possibilities. "If the Masanobus are discovered... it won’t just be their downfall. The four great noble clans would fall with them. Byakuya-sama is right to be cautious." The reports offered no clear answers, only more questions. Yorusuke could feel the frustration gnawing at him. He knew Renji was out there, pounding the streets for leads, but so far, nothing had brought them any closer to the truth. Why was the Robin Hood group trying to make it look as if the Masanobus were in league with them, or are the Masanobus the real targets of a larger plot? The sound of footsteps approached, breaking his reverie. Yorusuke glanced up just as Renji Abarai stepped into the room, his usual confident demeanor tempered by the seriousness of their task. "Any luck with those reports?" Renji asked, a hint of hope in his voice.Yorusuke sighed, shaking his head. "Not yet. But we’ll figure this out. We have to."

Renji sighed heavily and shook his head. He adjusted the bandana across his forehead, tightening the knot at the back of his skull. "Just got back from a meeting with Izuru. They don't have much else to add either. Looks like we'll just have to pray for another slip up from Robin Hood and Little John. Eventually they'll get sloppy enough to drop more than just breadcrumbs. All thieves do."
Renji plopped down into a chair across from Yorusuke's desk. He crossed one ankle over his knee and folded his hands, his fingers laced together. He let his shoulders slump slightly. "I have to admit... I'm starting to lose my sympathy for them. Being from Inuzuri, I'd be lying if I said I was excited to catch these guys. The Robin Hood thieves were saviors and legends amongst those of us in the slums. Some claimed to have met them in person but swore themselves to silence--provided they weren't lying for clout--but for the most part no one ever saw who they were. They always distributed their spoils to the people via a trusted third party and the distributor was always different. I haven't even bothered interviewing anyone from Rukongai because I know from experience that the souls there would rather be thrown in jail than give them up."
He gave a tired grunt and rolled his stiff shoulders. "But I gotta say, the more I work this case, the more fed up I get with them. It's like they're trying to poke the sleeping bear. Why drag another legend of Soul Society into the mix? I just don't get it. Why take the risk knowing that if they're caught, the fallout for them will be worse than if they had just kept the status quo? Makes me wonder if maybe there were changes in the group's ranks. We don't even know the structure of the group, only that they exist and that there is likely more than one person."

"The only pattern I can see is that when they act alone, their targets are nobodies—small-time, unknown. But when they work together, the victim is usually a well-known criminal. That would explain why the deaths only occur in those high-profile cases." Yorusuke remarked.
"Cause the small fry ain't worth the assassins' time. No money, glory, or honor in killing off nobodies. But robbing and assassinating the scum of the Soul Society," Renji gave Yorusuke a firm, slow nod. "That's where the real stakes are at." He hummed, scratching the scruff on his chin that he hadn't had time to shave off this morning. "You know, maybe their larger targets are people other assassins are already looking at off-ing. Could be helpful to get one of our own's perspectives on this. See who they think might be next. It's not like the Gotei is against outright killing someone who is determined to be too much of a threat. Hell, that's why we have the Shihoins, the Ashimitsus, and the Fons. Well, had the Fons--rest the captain's soul."
"I wish we could find out time of death of the victims. I don't know how but maybe it could help us figure out if they work together or individually." Yorusuke sat back in his chair a pondering look on his face. His attention then turned to Renji once more. "Before we get too many others involved with this case I need to bring something to the Captain's attention."

Renji nodded. "I'm sure we can get Forth Division to help us out with those time of deaths." He gestured to Yorusuke to continue. "What is it you have to report to the Captain?"
Yorusuke looked over at his office door that stood open. Motioning with his head for Renij to close it, Yorusuke reached into his left desk drawer and lifted out a piece of parchment. Once Renji had the door closed he gave Renji a pointed look. "We have been friends for sometime so I am trusting you. What I am about to show you don't leave this room. Not even Rukia is to hear about this. NO ONE." He put the piece of parchment on the desktop facing Renji and slid it toward him.
"Alright alright, don't get your panties in a bunch. I know how to keep my mouth shut," Renji waved him off as he took the parchment. He looked over the report and read it thoroughly... then read it a second time, and then a third time. He looked from Yorusuke to the paper and back. "You're shitting me? There's no way this is true. I can understand if the Shihoins had a secret assassin clan, but the Koriyamas? You really think the Tori clan is the Masanobu clan and they work under the Koriyamas? Hell, Suisenro Koriyama was captain of Ninth Division for a time, you really think they'd risk this information getting out by letting him be a captain for the division responsible for the newspaper?" Renji sat the paper down and slid it back with a shake of his head. He crossed his arms and leaned back in his seat. "I don't know man. If they're as secretive as they seem, wouldn't they scrub the Daireisho clean?"
He sighed then scratched the back of his head. "Then again, I hear Fuu Ayumu is a real demon when it comes to investigative reporting. How the Commander hasn't put a muzzle on her yet is a wonder to me. If anyone can find dirt on the highest ranking noble clans, it's her."

"Fuu told me that most of the dirt she dug up came from the streets. The archives only held what was publicly available, and you know how little that is in cases like this," Yorusuke said, his tone thoughtful.
"But think about it," he continued. "Every time the topic of these assassins comes up, the Captain gets uneasy and changes the subject. He knows more than he's letting on." Yorusuke reached over and picked up the parchment Renji had just placed back on the desk. "Even if half of this is just rumors, hearsay, or guesses from the Rukongai residents," he said, gesturing slightly with the parchment, "it threatens not just the Masanobus but the six Noble clans as well. We can’t let this get out. I need to bring it to the Captain because if there's any truth to it, the Nobles will have to find a way to bury it. Again."
Renji's expression grew serious. "But this is in Fuu's hands now. She’s a journalist—she’s not going to let a story this big slip away."
Yorusuke shook his head. "Fuu and I went to the Academy together. I know her too well. She might seem like she’s only after the next big scoop, but that’s not who she is. Sure, she loves uncovering a juicy story, but this involves a lot of good people. She would never drag them through the mud."

Renji nodded slowly, letting out a low hum. "Well, if you went to the academy with her and you believe you know her well, then I trust your judgement. I agree with you that we can't let this get out. There's more people involved in this than just the Robin Hood clan and the Masanobu clan." He growled in frustration, ruffling the long ponytail that draped down the back of his head. Renji scowled deeply. "Ah hell! What the hell is this clan thinking? It's like they've lost their touch or somethin'! Like they got a bunch of kids running the clan now. This is the first time I've heard of them being anywhere close to being caught. Not sure how I feel about that."
He crossed his arms again and leaned his head back over the top of the chair, staring up at the ceiling. "A lot of people in the Rukongai slums rely on their charity, and there will never be any shortage of corrupt nobles to steal from. I may be the Lieutenant of the Sixth Division, but I'm still a stray dog at heart. If we actually catch the Robin Hood clan... after all this time... things might get worse in the slums. Even in the middle class districts too."
Renji blinked, a thought occuring to him. He lifted his head to stare off blankly then turned to Yorusuke. "Wait a damn minute. Suigetsu Koriyama is adopted. She's from Rukongai too, if I remember correctly. And not a good part either. If the Masanobu clan is connected to the Koriyama clan... Maybe the two of them are working together after all and they're playing all of us by making us think they're not? Hell, the Robin Hood clan could be spoon feeding the Masanobu clan their next targets. Robin Hood gets the dirty money and the Masanobu clan get the corrupt clans' heads. Everyone wins."

"But if the Masanobus were really involved, wouldn’t all the targets be dead? They’re notorious assassins, not common thieves. It’s not like they’re keeping a score of 'Assassins 400, Villains 20.'"
Renji gave him a puzzled look, causing Yorusuke to hesitate, running a hand through his hair. "Just random numbers, you know," he added, slightly flustered.
"I'm assuming it's because not all of the Robin Hood targets are ones that the Masanobus would bother with. If it was one-for-one, that would be too obvious. The Robin Hood clan don't go after only big targets. Some of them are small fry. If you want to catch a shark, you throw blood and guts into the water, not pet fish food," Renji shrugged with a shake of his head.
Yorusuke chuckled at Renji's analogy, "True, but whatever is going on here needs to stop before something bad occurs." Renji gave him another puzzled look. "You know what I mean. This situation could be so much worse."

"Yeah don't I know it," Renji sighed, standing from his seat. "Alright, I got work to do. Thanks for the upda--"
Suddenly, sounds of a commotion came drifting down the hallway. It sounded like someone yelling in a haughty and entitled tone that made Renji certain that it was someone of nobility. He sighed and shook his head at Yorusuke as the yelling became louder, the words becoming clearer as the volume increased. Definitely a noble and a noble complaining about being robbed at that.
"Well, looks like my other work will have to wait. Keep me posted," Renji said as he made for the door. Yorusuke made a noise in confirmation as Renji exited his office. He headed down the hall, following the sound of the raging noble. -END- “In the Grand Scheme”

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: The ChaosEpisode 509 “Guilt”: (continued) “Fuu,” he said, his tone neutral but curious. “I wasn’t expecting you.” Fuu forced a small smile, “I know. I’m sorry to drop in on you like this, but I really needed to talk to you. It’s important.”Yorusuke stepped aside, allowing her to enter. The office was modest, with a neatly organized desk and a few scrolls stacked on a shelf. A large window let in the afternoon sunlight, casting a warm glow over the room. Fuu walked over to the window, taking a moment to compose herself before turning to face Yorusuke. He was watching her closely, his expression unreadable. She could sense his concern, though—he was perceptive like that, always able to tell when something was weighing on her.“What’s going on?” he asked, his voice gentle but firm. Fuu sighed, running a hand through her hair. “I made a mistake, Yorusuke. A big one. And I’m here to make things right.”Yorusuke raised an eyebrow, but he didn’t interrupt. He simply waited for her to continue, his patience only adding to the guilt gnawing at her.

“I never should have involved you in this,” Fuu said, her voice trembling slightly. “This whole thing with the Masanobus and the Koriyama clan… it’s not your responsibility. It’s mine. I found the information, and I should be the one to deal with the consequences, not you.”
Yorusuke frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. “Fuu, we’re friends. You know I’m here to support you, no matter what. If you’ve uncovered something dangerous, then I want to help you see it through.”
Fuu shook her head, her heart aching at his words. “I appreciate that, Yorusuke. I really do. But this is different. The Koriyamas… they’re not just any family. They’re powerful, and their assassins are deadly. If Byakuya finds out you’re involved in this, it could be disastrous—not just for you, but for everyone.”
Yorusuke’s expression softened, and he took a step closer to her. “Fuu, you’re not alone in this. You don’t have to carry this burden by yourself.”
“I know,” Fuu whispered, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “But I have to. I can’t let you get hurt because of my mistake.”
She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she had to say next. “I’m going to the Koriyamas myself. I’m going to talk to them, explain what I’ve discovered, and try to resolve this without involving anyone else. But I need you to promise me something.”
