"You went too far, Kadaj. Abreak was going to kill Kenji. I will not allow you to kill at such a young age. It's a burden I will not allow you to carry on your shoulders at this age."
Kadaj growled, clenching his fists. "That does not answer my question." He closed his eyes as his rage began to consume him. "Where is Shokan?!" he yelled, his eyes open and sharp. Kadaj drew back his fist and punched his mother in the face. "Fix this! Fix this now!" He watched as his mother slid across the field and into a wall. "Fix this!"
Kita groaned as she pushed off the wall and glared at her son. "I am not beyond kicking your ass Kadaj Tervaden just because you are my child." Kita disappeared, reappearing in front of her son. Her hand lifted backhanding Kadaj across the face. She hit him so hard it spun him in place. His head hung as his dark long hair covered his face his hand to the cheek she struck.
"If you remember nothing else in your life time. Remember this Kadaj Tervaden. I am your mother and no matter how old you get. No matter how strong you get. If you do something stupid or do something that will end your life. I will stop you."
Kadaj looked to his mother, her eyes narrowed at him. "Even if it means ending my own life. I WILL stop you."

Kadaj groaned, not in anger but pain. He fell to his knees, clutching his stomach with one arm. Digging in fingers into the loose dirt, he growled. "No..."
"No what?" questioned Kita. "What's wrong with you?"
"He is fighting his regression." answered Akui, appearing to Kadaj's mother. "He will not change back."
"Why?"
"Shokan..." growled Kadaj.
Akui looked away, saddened at the state of the child. "He wants his zanpakuto."
"Well, tough shit. He's not getting it."
"Then remind him of his innocence. Remind him that he is still a child." Akui faded away, unable to bear the groans of pain from the boy.
"Your father..." growled Kadaj. "He has Shokan." His eyes narrowed as he disappeared in a flash of shunpo.

"Kita..." moaned Kenji, sitting up. His bloodied blade laid across his lap as he held his right arm. Blood poured from his arm. "Kita!" he called out to his sister once more. Kenji glanced down to his side where his severed hand and forearm lay on the ground. Looking up, he found his sister standing in front of him. He looked away quickly, filled with shame. "Please...Do not..."
Kita sighed knowing now the reason he was missing his arm. She keeled down beside him. "You fool..." she mumbled stopping the bleeding and that was all complying to his request of not reforming his arm. She then lifted her arm with a wave of a hand as time froze leaving the two of them still free to move. She looked to Kenji and stood. "Clean your blade. You started this you're going to help me end it."
Kenji wiped away a tear before sliding his blade across his pants to clean it. "I'm not the fool you think I am." He rose to his feet slowly, feeling as if he had just fought a war...Not a boy. "That is not the strength of a child, Kita...It's not." Having his zanpakuto to his side, he grabbed Kita by the arm. "Time is literally at a standing still and dad can stand on his own. Your son...Your son became someone else! What is he? What is Abreak?!"

Kita sighed, "what I have seen and was explained to me is his Godly powers age him so his body can handle the dragon's power. Abreak is the King of all dragons. He is a shadow dragon. As you seen, he is four-hundred feet tall with a length of nearly five-hundred and fifty feet. His wingspan about four-hundred, plus, feet. Abreak is extremely agile for his size, able to keep up with the swiftest of us." Her head shook slowly. "Abreak is not his only dragon though, he has three others."
"Three others?! Kita..."
Kita shook her head. "A fire dragon, Sika, she is red. She is slightly smaller than Abreak. Nygal the earth dragon, he is rather small. About seven foot on his hind legs. Nine from the tip of snout to the tip of his tail, his wingspan is about eight foot. And the one I have not seen. The water dragon, Erium. I have not seen her so I am not sure of her size. I stood against Abreak, Sika and Nygal in Las Noches. These dragons are deadly and highly dangerous." Her head shook again as Kenji was about to speak. "I know what you're thinking, and think what you want, but you're wrong. Just because his body ages, his mind does not. He is still a child trapped in that grown body. He doesn't understand this power and the damage it can do. Vale started him far too young. He is not ready for this gift. Not yet."

Kenji sighed. "Vale...If he's his father's child, he very well understands what's going on. If there's one thing I've learned from that man, it's that intelligence doesn't always look so intelligent."
"God, that's such a Vale response," Kita chuckled.
"Taking his zanpakuto from him won't help. You know that. He'll need to be trained. Like dad used to train me, in the safety of his underground lair. But, taking his zanpakuto is not the way to go." Kenji clutched his right arm.
"Are you okay?"
Kenji nodded. "Let's go. I'm sure all of the Gotei will be up in arms when time begins again."

Kita nodded to him as the two moved to leave the field. "I don't want his sword taken from him. I understand he needs to know and learn his powers, but right now with what was going on and neither one of you knowing his powers," her eyes narrowed at him for doing what he did with Kadaj, getting him to show him his powers without talking to her first.
The both exited the field as they stopped and looked around for Kadaj. "I was going to talk to Kisuke and see if he would train him with my aid."
Her brother looked to her and smiled with a slight nod. Kita returned his smile glad to see he was pleased with her decision. They two moved forward toward the first division, Kita leaving time frozen to keep hysteria at a minimal. Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 400 "Trials by Fire": Ryo walked onto the training field. She looked up at the clear blue sky and smiled. It was a beautiful day. Stopping, she looked to the four members bearing the emblem of the Ninth. Hisagi stood at her side. "Name them, Lieutenant." Hisagi stepped forward. "Greet your Captain! Kazushige Suga.""Ma'am!" Suga stepped forward, bowed then stepped back."Oda Kikiyo."Oda stepped forward and bowed. "Captain Komamura." He stepped back."Unkei Yonezawa."Unkei stepped forward with hesitation. Without expecting his Captain to understand, he signed a greeting.Hisagi looked to his Captain. "He's mute. Usually Suga speaks for him."Ryo nodded. And, to the surprise of the recruit before her, she signed an order for him to step back. Unkei did as requested with a smile. "Etsuya Tanimoto."Etsuya tapped the end of his staff to the ground as he stepped forward. "Captain Hirabayashi...?" The sound of one behind him clearing their throat caused him to look over his shoulder. He looked at Unkei who was signing at him. "Komamura...Captain Komamura." He stepped back quickly. "Sorry..." he whispered. Ryo raised a hand as the four straightened in posture. "Captain Komamura will do just fine. If it is easier, when in the presence of the Captain of the Seventh, you may address me as Captain Hirabayashi." She looked over the four standing before her. "Relax, gentleman. The four of you are here by the recommendation of your Lieutenant. And, while I trust his judgement, I do not know you or your abilities. I don't know how well you handle trials and triumphs. I do not know how well you follow or, if given the opportunity, how well you lead." Ryo folded her arms behind her back. "Over the next few weeks, the four of you will be tested beyond your limits. Well beyond them. If you think your Lieutenant was wrong to choose you, leave now. The door is up the hill." "Choose us for what?" Suga raised a finger as he asked the question. He gave a nervous laugh. " 'Cause I'm not entirely sure why we're here."Etsuya swung his staff behind him. The end made contact with the back of Suga's head. "Eh, Suga. Lieutenant Shuuhei said that we're meant to be the new Command Unit, yeah. Pay attention." "When did he say that?" Suga rubbed the back of his head. "Gentleman...May I go on?" Ryo shook her head. "Kikiyo, step forward, please."

Oda stepped forward, his arms firmly held to his sides. "Yes ma'am." He flinched as the Captain stepped close to him and placed a finger to the eye patch covering his right eye.
"And, what happened here, Kikiyo?" asked Ryo.
Oda cleared his throat. "I.."
"Speak so that I can hear you, Kikiyo."
"Forgive me, Captain." Oda lifted his chin and raised his voice. "I lost my eye as a child. An accident with a friend."
Ryo nodded. "And, why did you join the Gotei?"
Oda was silent for a moment. The set his shoulders back and lifted his chin again. "I was raised in a wealthy family. But, I was taught that one was still a poor man if he only based his value on the money in his purse. My father challenged me to see the world...Fight for something. I chose the Goeti when deciding how I wished to add to my wealth."

"Suga." said Ryo, looking to the young man. "Step forward."
Suga stepped forward and bowed again. "Yes, Captain!"
"What's your story?"
"Not much to be honest, Captain." Suga laughed and rubbed the back of his head. "I'm nothing special. I come from modest means. I'm fairly average, if I may say so." His expression changed as he thought on what he had just said. "But, uh, if we have to say something inspirational and all...I guess, I wouldn't be in the Gotei today if not for Captain Kuchiki. He set me straight one day while in the academy. Still," he shrugged. "Nothing spectacular."
Ryo smiled. "You're modest. I appreciate it. But, I know there is more than what you say. For example, you've been on your own since you were very young. A closely guarded secret kept by your best friend - a man who couldn't speak." Ryo pointed to Yonezawa then to Suga. "How did the two of you become friends?"
"Well, uh..." Suga hesitated.
"Honest now, Suga."
"We were a lot younger when we first met. And, uh, he was being bullied. I stepped in. That's all."
Ryo nodded. "Thank you." She looked to Yonezawa and beckoned him forward. "Translate for me, Suga."
Suga nodded and moved to stand beside Unkei.
"Why can't you speak? And, why do you trust Suga to speak for you?"
Uknei sighed his answer and waited for his friend to relay what was said.
"He said -"
"I know what he said." Ryo cut the boy off. "And, I am a bit disappointed that you never corrected your Lieutenant."
"Captain?" questioned Hisagi.
"He isn't mute. He's deaf. Born unable to hear. He can read lips. And, the truth of why he allows Suga to speak for him..."
"I would skip class," Unkei signed. "To avoid my bullies. Kaz came to my home one day and told me to start defending myself or else..." He gave a sheepish smile. "Or else."
Hisagi waited for his Captain or Suga to translate. "Captain..."
Ryo nodded and told them both to step back. "It's alright, Lieutenant." She looked to the last of the four. "Tanimoto."

"Hiya, Captain Koma." Estuya stepped forward as he dug in the small pouch at his waist and took out a few mint leaves. He put them in his mouth. "I guess you want to learn about lil ol' me, yeah?" he said with a wide smile as he leaned on his staff. "Well-"
Ryo kicked the staff out from underneath him. As the boy stumbled forward, she caught him by the chin and pulled him to eye level. "First, you will address me as Captain Komamura. Do you understand?"
Etsuya nodded his head while his chin rested in her hand. She held on tight...A skill most certainly from mom strength.
"Secondly, Etsuya Tanimoto, I am unsure as to why you think it's appropriate to be so informal with your Captain. But, that ends...right now. Do you understand?" The boy nodded. Ryo let him go. "Step back."
Etsuya groaned as he rubbed his jaw then the back of his neck. He leaned over slightly, having received a light elbow to the torso from Oda. "I know...I know..."

Ryo sighed and walked over to stand by her Lieutenant. She looked over the four men standing before her. "Tanimoto, one last thing," she looked to the boy who would no longer look in her direction. "I know that your end game is not here in the Ninth. You, ultimately, wish to join Captain Zaraki in the Eleventh. See this through, and if by the end you still want to join his division, I will speak to Captain Zaraki myself." Etsuya's eyes lit up. He looked to his Captain and nodded. "Very good, then." Ryo folded her arms behind her back. "We have...work to do. The first thing we need to do is figure out how well you work as a small unit. I need to see who will step forward and lead. So, this is your first test." Ryo held out her left hand. In it was a small bell. "This is a small round silver bell. Captain Zaraki has many hanging from his hair. The first to bring me a bell by the end of the day will be rewarded. The three who fail...Well, you fail." Ryo looked at the four. Tanimoto was excited. Suga and Yonezawa both appeared eager and to be thinking. Oda...He was a hard read. But, he too was thinking. "What are the four of you waiting for? Go." The four ran off, up the hill. "Captain..." Hisagi shook his head. "You just told them to take a bell from Zaraki...""Did I?" Ryo smiled. She looked to Hisagi who was rubbed his head at the temples. "Let's see what they do." Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 497 "Flame of the Ninth": Ryo smirked as she looked across the training field at her husband. The field reflected some mild sparring - torn up grass, a hole here and there...Nothing like their usual style of sparring. Her blade came to rest at her side. "Come now, Captain Komamura." shouted Sajin with a huff. "You wanted to train. And yet, here you are...taking it easy on me."Ryo's eye twitched. "What....What are you talking about? I'm not taking it easy on you, Puppeh. I'm just..." "Taking it easy on me!" he huffed again. Sajin reached up and rubbed his right ear. "Ryo..." his voice was low as he walked over to his wife. Once there, he came to one knee and placed a hand to her shoulder. "My dearest Ryo, I know you.""Sajin." "And, I think -""I'm not taking it easy on you." "You are," Sajin placed a finger to her lips. "Because there's something keeping you from being fully present. What is it, my dear?"Ryo sighed. "I don't know, Sajin." she whispered. "I thought maybe sparring with you would help." Ryo shook her head. "But, it's not really doing anything for me." Sajin stool tall and looked down at his wife, almost sneering. "Well...Fine. Feel free to remain a cinder, today." Sajin turned his back and began walking away from his wife. "Excuse me?" Ryo narrowed her eyes. "What did you just say to me?"

Sajin shrugged and waved a dismissive hand. "It's alright." he said, looking over his shoulder. "You just don't have it in you." He turned around with another shrug. "Today. We can try again tomorrow, perhaps." Sajin looked to his wife only to find her locked on him with a steely gaze. He smiled. They were still fighting. And, he was winning. "I imagine we'll try again once you've gathered your thoughts and courage. Yes?"
"I know what you're doing, Sajin." Ryo gave a smile. "It isn't going to work."
"It's alright. It's alright. So, you've lost your spark. It's fine. Though I think I would be rather embarrassed to admit it, if I were you." Sajin felt his nerves getting to him. His words were far from kind. They were harsh. Cruel even. But, necessary. Ryo had been so filled with doubt since their return. He imagined this sparring match would be the spark to bring her back, as she would light up with her sword in her hand. But, not today. Today she needed an enemy. And, for her, he was willing.
"Admit what?" asked Ryo through gritted teeth.
"That the second most powerful fire zanpakuto...is barely an ember." Sajin exchanged Ryo's cold glance with one of his one. "She's weak..." He gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. "An ill-fit for her rank."

"An...ill fit?" Ryo bit the inside of her cheek. "An ill fit?! Is that what you think of me?"
"That is what you think of you." Sajin pointed at his wife. He watched her closely. "That is what you have convinced yourself that you are." Her hand tightened around the hilt of her blade. Her posture changed. Her shoulders shifted back and she lifted her chin. She looked at him with opened eyes.
"Enough..."
"Why?" questioned Sajin. "Because it hurts? Have I hurt your feelings, Captain? No! Not Captain!"
"Enough, Sajin..."
Sajin stood firmly in who he was for her in this moment. "Not Captain...Just weak." The air was thick with heat, making it hard to breath. He watched his wife closely. Her gaze was still locked on him. But, he knew her. He could see the tension in her face. In the way she stood. "Are you...angry enough yet?" he whispered, a single tear rolled down his cheek.
Ryo gaze fell to the ground, but only for a brief moment. Just a second later she shunpo'd across the field to meet her husband fist to face. The beast of a man didn't budge until flames erupted from between her fingers. The fire enveloped the hulking man's head until he shunpo'd back and away. But, Ryo met him at every step. A blow to the chest. Another to the face again. Over and over and over again, every blow hitting their mark before erupting into flame.

Sajin shunpo'd again, this time covering twice the distance to separate himself from Ryo. His eyes burned. His chest hurt. He was bleeding. Sajin placed his left hand to his right side. Ryo had broken ribs. He looked at his wife, who was standing there waiting for him to stand to his feet. "Is that all you've got?" he asked. She hadn't used her zanpakuto. Only a Kido he'd never seen before.
"Because that....was only mildly unimpressive..."
Ryo shunpo'd toward Sajin only to one of his massive hands snatch her out of the air. He tossed her across the training field. But, she landing on the balls of her feet. She slid backwards until she used her blade to slow her to a stop. "I...I am not...going to give you what you want." she whispered to herself.
Sajin could hear her whispers, even from across the field. "Then, you're giving up...Just like I thought you would."
Ryo shook her head. "That's enough, Sajin."
"Is it? Was this enough to convince yourself that you aren't weak? Does this somehow make you strong?"
"I said enough!" Ryo swung her sword, releasing a wave of heat and fire toward Sajin. The arcing flames fanned out and spread, turning the training grounds into a fiery battleground.
"Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō!" Sajin called forth his bankai in an effort to protect himself. The giant armored hands appeared in front of him. And, despite their size and power, they could not protect him well enough. Ryo's fire broke through his bankai with ease. Her fire ripped through any space it could find, and poured over Tengen's armor as if it were a waves washing over pebbles at a beach.
Sajin was knocked onto his back as the heat stripped the air from him. He caught his breath quickly and sprung to his feet. Looking to the other end of the field, he saw his wife and his eyes grew wide. There she was, standing among the flames...Fueling the fire. Glowing. Beautiful.
