"Experiencing the Captain's Testing":Ryo stood at the entrance of the training field, waiting for Captain Komamura and Third Seat Ashimitsu to arrive. Following his second evaluation with Captain Hirabayashi, Third Seat Ashimitsu had to undergo the traditional test to become a captain. Upon his return, and with the caution he expressed in appointing such a young man to the position, Captain Komamura was appointed the task of training Ashimitsu. "Captain." said Komamura as he walked towards the entrance of the field. "How are you today?"Ryo looked at Komamura. "I am well, Captain." "Sajin. There is no need for such formalities between us."Ryo nodded. "Are you ready?"

Sajin rubbed his right ear and gave a partial smile. "I am. Is he?" he asked, looking to Hirabayashi standing there, arms folded. They remained silent, Hirabayashi ignoring his question. He looked down at her, as she pulled her arms through the sleeves of her haori. After a few moments, Ryo broke the silence.
"He is quick to anger, to a fault. You need to test how he performs while in his emotions." Sajin let out a low growl. "He will jump from one extreme to the next, if you allow it. And, you will allow it. He will even attempt to use his bankai. If it gets that far, Sajin, I will step in. The two of you will not destroy my facility. Understand?"
Sajin laughed, drawing his hand to his belly as he did. "It will not get that far."

Tsukiro stood at the gates of the training field, looking up at the tall wooden doors. He took a long, deep breath and pushed the doors open. When he walked in, he spotted Captain Hirabayashi and...
He walked up to them and bowed. "Good morning, Captain Hirabayashi and..." He looked to the towering man. Or at least he tried. When he tilted his head back to try and look him in the eyes, he nearly gave himself whiplash. He grabbed his neck, wincing. "Uh... Good morning... Um, I'm sorry. I don't know your name."

Sajin turned around and looked at the young man straining himself to look at him. He smiled. "I am Sajin Komamura, Captain of the Seventh Division. You must be Tsukiro Ashimitsu. It is a pleasure to meet you, young one."
He brought his fists together and bowed to Ashimitsu, as the boy looked at him in complete awe. His silver hair fell over his shoulder as he lifted from his bow. "This is the training portion of your evaluation. Captain Hirabayashi has graciously allowed us to use her facilities for this exam." He gave a slight now in Hirabayashi's direction. "Are you ready, Tsukiro Ashimitsu?"

Tsukiro's eyes steeled over and he nodded, bowing to Captain Komamura. "Yes sir. I am ready."
Komamura nodded and they got into position a few feet away. Tsukiro stood in his fighting stance, pulling his zanpakuto and his short sword out. He took several deep breaths while he waited for the captain to take the first move, since he was unsure of how to start. He was huge. He was as big as some hollows he had seen. But then, he had seen Yoruichi take down hollows probably twenty times her size with only her bare fists and shunko. This was no different. He would pass this next test using whatever he had to, to prove to Captain Komamura that he was ready to be a captain.

Sajin flared his nostrils as the young Ashimitsu took his position and stance. The boy stood eager but still, ready to prove himself worthy of captain. Ashimitsu's eyes were focused and learning. If he sought out his opponents next move, Sajin would give him one. He disappeared from Ashimitsu's sights. He had shunpo'd behind Tsukiro, and waited for his reaction

Tsukiro's senses alerted him to Komamura's position behind him. He didn't even bother swinging his leg back to trip him. He was much too massive for that. However, he did jump up high enough to reach his top half then twisted in the air, swinging his leg around to his head in a powerful round house kick.

Sajin reached out and grabbed Ashimitsu, his hand consuming Ashimitsu's leg in its entirety. He flung him towards the sky, shunpoing after and past him. Once passed him, Sajin grabbed Ashimitsu and used his tremendous weight to drive him into the ground.

Air rushed out of Tsukiro's lungs, leaving him gasping and choking. He tried to push his hand off of his chest, but his effort was in vain. He defaulted to his best option. He took his short sword and his zanpakuto and drove them into his arm. When Komamura didn't even flinch, Tsukiro's eyes widened. He clicked his tongue in frustration. He closed his eyes and gathered his reiatsu around him wind whipped around them. Tsukiro glowed violet and black and his haori and arm covers tore to shreds by the strong, cutting wind of the kido infused reiatsu. His eyes snapped open and he grasped Komamura's arm, letting his energy cut into him.
"Shunko!!"

A huge gust of wind cut around Sajin, as he raised his arms to shield his face. He cursed beneath a growl after relalizing the technique used by Yoruichi. He burst through the billowing winds with bared fangs, swiping claws and a deafening howl.
He came to the ground landing and sliding back on his feet. He looked to Ashimitsu who was a fair distance away. Still, no words were exchanged between them.

Tsukiro took a moment to breath, assessing the situation. When his thoughts were in order, he picked up his two swords and sheathed them. It looked like Shunko would be his best technique in this match. He clenched his fists and shunpo'd, disappearing. He reappeared to the side of him, then disappeared again, appearing on his other side. He flashed around, not giving him any more than a second or two to pinpoint his location. Once again, he disappeared then appeared behind him. He thrust his hands, flat like blades, at Komamura's back, wind-like energy swirling around his hands and arms.

Sajin disappeared, leaving Ashimitsu standing with his hands extended out in front of him. He reappeared a several feet away, his silver mane blowing behind as the wind picked up.
"He is large, but incredibly agile. You will have to do better than a song and dance. Unless you want to lose this fight and forfeit any further attempt at becoming Captain." said Hirabayashi, watching as the fight progressed.
Sajin looked to Hirabayashi then back to Ashimitsu. He reached for his right ear, pulling away loose strands of brown hair. "Let the fight progress on it's own, Captain. He requires no assistance."

Tsukiro chuckled, shaking his head. "A scolding and an encouragement from two different captains in less than thirty seconds. That's got to be a record."
He sighed and shook his head again, trying to think of a way to gain the upper hand. He was huge, massive and on top of that agile. He was his worst night mare. Again, he took deep breaths.
"I guess I'll have to try one of the new techniques I've been refining."
He raised his arms in front of him. Suddenly, the swirling energy tightened and receded up his arm, leaving his hands uncovered. He pulled out his short sword and held it like he would a katana. The Shunko energy traveled back up his arms, this time going further to cover his short sword. He closed his eyes in focus and pictured pushed the energy further up past the tip of the blade, making it longer. When he opened his eyes and looked at the blade, he found the energy forming an extension on the end of the blade. He grinned in pride then looked up at Komamura.
"Round two."
He disappeared and reappeared above Komamura in the air, coming down with his Shunko covered blade extended back. He gave a shout and swung down at him.

Sajin crossed his arms above his head as Ashimitsu's modified blade made contact. The force of the strike brought Sajin to one knee. He sprang back up almost instantly, pushing Ashimitsu back up into the air. Sajin disappeared again, reappearing above Ashmitsu as he began to fall. With all his weight, Sajin brought his knee to Ashimitsu's chest, forcing him back to the ground. The two hit the ground; causing the earth to shift, shatter and fold beneath them. A cloud of dirt and debris rose and filled the facility.

Again, the wind was knocked from him, only this time he choked up a small amount of blood. He choked and gagged, holding his ribs which were no doubt broken. When he could breathe again, he wiped his mouth and stood up with shaky legs. He gave a Komamura a fierce look of determination.
"I won't give up! Even if I'm here all day and night!"
He shunpo'd forward at his top speed, raising his sword back and striking out at him again.
