The captain vanished, leaving behind shihakusho, which was pummeled into the ground. A few steps away, the noble took a deep breath, holding a hand to his chest. His stone-like eyes were slightly glazed over from the pain. “Your strength is not one to underestimate either, Komamura-san,” he said quietly. The petals swirling around abruptly rippled back towards their master and the single sword in his hand, a white aura and wings forming around him. As Sajin appeared behind him to attack again, Byakuya fired off a great bolt of kido fire and white wings formed on his back. “Shukei Hakuteiken.”
He swung the White Emperor’s Sword at the demon, who caught the blade, and pushed down. His reiatsu spiked and the glow around him increased.

The demon shuddered and deep growl echoed throughout the facility, as if the demon was laughing. It reached out and grabbed Kuchiki with its free hand, hanging him upside down by one leg. "I'm afraid, Captain, this is not the same Kukujo Tengen Myo'o you've faced before. He is invulnerable to physical harm."
Sajin looked down at his hand, the same hand that his demon caught Kuchiki's blade with. It bled. He tightened his grip on his zanpakuto and swung out in front of him, striking his fellow captain as the demon dropped him.

It was not a detail the noble missed. Byakuya blocked with the White Emperor Sword before flying back into one wall of the facility.
As the debris cleared around him words echoed around them. “"Walls of iron sand, a priestly pagoda, glowing ironclad fireflies. Standing upright, silent to the end."
Captain Kuchiki emerged, no longer glowing but with his hands held together, a healing Kido over one shoulder to keep it working. The demon turned to regard him as five circles rose from the noble's joined hands. Sajin chuckled. “You’re very durable, Captain, but I don’t think you will stand much longer, looking like that.” “Gochuutekken.” Byakuya murmured as the demon’s sword descended and stopped, his form held in place by thick iron pillars. “Soren Soukatsui.” The Captain’s signature Kido attack roared towards the wolf, and even as Sajin errected a Kido barrier, the energy behind the attack threw him against the opposite wall.
The noble let himself fall to one knee. “If I can’t cause harm to him, I may be able to hold him in place long enough to attack you,” he stated quietly, closing his eyes.

Sajin fell from the wall, springing up immediately before falling to one knee. He growled as he struggled to stand. His breathing was heavy and labored. He brought his hand to his shoulder to slow the bleeding of the wound Kuchiki had given his earlier. He dug his zanpakuto into the ground, using it to prop himself up as he stood.
He inhaled deeply, stilling himself then taking his stance. He was ready to strike again.

Byakuya also rose from his crouch, but left his zanpakuto in his sheathe where it had returned after being slammed into the wall. He still had his shunpo and his kido. The noble waited for the werewolf to attack. "Come," he dared quietly.

Sajin shook his head. His demon disappeared as he sheathed his zanpakuto. "You have nothing left to prove, Captain." He placed his hand on his wound and walked to the center of the field. "Besides, I am quite sure the Captain Commander will not take kindly to two of his Captains being damaged and of no use."

A glimmer of a smirk rose over the noble’s lips as he straightened and followed his fellow captain. “Indeed he probably wouldn’t,” Byakuya said quietly. He bowed to Sajin. “As it is, it would be prudent for both us to visit the Fourth Division.” He paused. “Thank you, Captain Komamura. Our match proved to be a calming endeavor."

Sajin nodded. "I think I owe Captain Hirabayashi an apology. I will go to her first. Then, I will go to the Fourth Division." He bowed slightly and turned towards the exit. He looked over his shoulder and waved at Kuchiki. "We should do this again, sometime, Captain." He took his leave with his fellow captain not far behind.

"Untitled (continued)":A chilling wind blew as Sajin walked the paths of the Soul Society. He quickly found himself at the Captain's Training Facility; Captain Hitsugaya sat on the hill overlooking the field. "Captain. It's well past your bed time. Should you be out this late?"

Toshiro looked up at the Captain from his seat on the hill. "I have no curfew, Captain." He turned from the Captain. "Why are you out so late? Shouldn't you be on your tether?" Toshiro gave a slight smile and rose to his feet. "I am sure Captain Hirabayashi will want to know where her puppy is."

Sajin gave a hearty laugh, before reaching down and picking up Hitsugaya by his collar. "I am not a puppy." He narrowed his eyes at the child Captain then gave a toothy grin, gently setting the Captain back down. "What troubles you, Toshiro?" Sajin sat next to the Captain and crossed his arms.

Toshiro sighed and looked up at Komamura. "I..." He hung his head and looked away, his face reddening. "When did you figure out..." Toshiro coughed as Komamura patted his back, demanding he spit it out. "When did you figure out you loved her?"

Sajin grew flush and looked away from the Captain with a huff. "That is a rather odd question." He reached back scratching the top of his head, as he looked back to the petite Captain. "Is the Captain in love?"
"That...That is absurd!" said Hitsugaya, his voice firm. "I am not! I was just wondering...You two are a rather odd couple. You are massive...She is not."
"It's alright, Toshiro." replied Sajin with a chuckle. "If it would help you understand whatever it is you are seeking...I suppose I realized it when she stayed with me the night I injured Karin Kurosaki. She stayed when even my own division feared me."

Toshiro sighed as he rose to his feet. "And, if she had been hurt? If she gets hurt...What would you do?" He turned to the Captain, but dared not to look at him. His shame would not allow it. "You would turn the world over, yes?"
"I would." answered Komamura.
"I want to be strong enough to do that." Toshiro shook his head as it hung. "Not run. I won't run again. I can't."

"We all have our breaking points, Captain. You've endured quite a bit. Lieutenant Hinamori, Lieutenant Matsumoto then the attack on the Soul Society...It was quite a bit to deal with. No one blames you for wanting to escape it." Sajin rose to his feet and stood in front of the Captain. He placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.
"I believe you are already strong enough to fight for the one you love, Toshiro. You just have to let the world...and yourself...know who you're fighting for." Sajin drew Tenken and looked it over. "I have yet to have the privilege of fighting with Tenken since his return. If you are up to it, Captain, perhaps a bit of sparring will take your mind off your troubles."
