Kita smiled drying her tears once more. She wrapped her arms around him giving him a big hug. When she pulled back she smiled brightly at him. "I still owe you one." She tiptoed up and kissed his cheek softly.
"I will see you soon. I promise." She touched his cheek gently as she started to fade. "Please. Never give up the good fight. And that means on yourself as well."

Tsukiro touched her cheek as well, looking into her fading eyes. He nodded. "I promise. And promise me that you'll never give up on yourself either. Don't let Aizen and the others beat you down. I know you can beat them. I know you'll come back alive. You're a fighter."
She nodded with a smile as she faded completely. Tsukiro was left standing there alone. When his eyes snapped open, he found himself starting at his ceiling, his face wet with tears.

"Letting Go or Holding On IV (end)":
Not long after Kita had fallen asleep, Shinsou lifted out of the sheath at her side. Vaulting over to her head, he licked her cheek, wiping stray tracks of tears. Then, he wrapped himself around her head, his tails acting like a scarf over her chin and throat. Nuzzling down into the crook of her shoulder, he also closed his eyes.
Kita awoke to daylight in a bamboo forest awash in the russet color of fall, leaves falling around her form from way up high. A breeze stirred her hair and strong arms pulled her against a hard chest. "Kita...." Gin whispered.
He didn't know what else to say. Their enemies had struck again, and this time, because he had chosen to end it, he couldn't prevent it. Did she regret choosing him? Silently, one of his hands moved to her stomach, to Soji. His arms tightened, not wanting them to lose anymore.

Kita woke slowly as her hand gently slid up Gin's chest, tipping her back slightly she opened her eyes seeing the sad face of her lover. "Gin..." she became more alert wrapping her arms quickly around his torso hugging him tightly.
She did not want to let go as she held him as close as she could to her, her tears starting to fall once more. "I have missed you so much."
Gin stroked her head gently, massaging from her roots down to her tips, slowly letting her beautiful hair fall from his fingers as he considered what to say. “I’m sorry, dearest," he whispered. "I left on a bad time, didn’t I?” He kissed her forehead. “Forgive me?” he murmured in her ear.
Kita shook her head, "there is nothing to forgive. This is something that could not be helped. It was just too much for you. I understand that. You have lived a hard life my love." She looked up at him wiping away her tears. "I am just being selfish and wishing you were there with me."

Gin chuckled and kissed her eyes, lingering at each one respectively. “You’ve been through a lot of pain, too. You’re allowed to make selfish wishes.” He smiled gently. “Even blame me for sleeping through it." His smile fell. "Especially now. If I hadn't reached out for you-"
Kita cut him off.

Kita laid her finger over his lips shaking her head slowly. "I will make it through this with my parents. I know I will. You showed me how to be strong. So much so Kisuke dares to tell me I have been hanging out with you too long." She could not help but giggle softly then let a worrisome sigh slip from between her lips.
"I am just worried about a few things. One of them really worries me because I don't have the instinct you have to deal with this." She looked into Gin's eyes. "Do you know everything that has happened?"

Gin's crystalline eyes narrowed at her drop in tone. "I have seen everything Shinsou has seen at your side, and if you are talking about Hitsugaya's alter ego attacking you, yes, I saw that. Is that what you are worried about?"
Kita nodded slowly. "Yes. I don't know exactly what he was trying to do, but with what he said, I believe he was trying to kill Sojiro." her hand cupped Gin's cheek. "Does he hate you that badly that he would try to kill your son?"
Gin sighed. "Hitsugaya-kun does have a reason to hate me deeply." He let her go and walked a few feet away, bowing his head. "It was through my and Aizen's manipulation after his staged death that fractured and left the mind of Lieutenant Hinamori, his childhood friend, in a coma. Aizen may have tried to kill her but I set her on the path of chaos for Aizen." He hunched his shoulders with a bitter chuckle. "And I enjoyed it."
Kita turned from looking at Gin folding her hands in front of her, looking at the scenery around them. "So you preyed on a weak, naive mind bending it to make it break?" She looked to her right, eyes cast down and spoke to Gin. "Why did you do this and what do you mean a path of chaos for Aizen?"
Gin hesitated and then sighed again. He looked up at the sky. "If my death has the desired effect on Himamori-san, it will be easy to distract others from the actual crime. And by using her grief and rage, giving it a focus, and yet denying it fulfillment, her blade will turn where I want it to."
Kita shuddered and looked over at Gin. "Aizen said that?"
Gin nodded, turning back to her. "And then Aizen directed her through a letter towards destroying Hitsugaya, her childhood friend. If she couldn't manage it, I was to be the next focus."

Kita turned, quickly stepping lively toward Gin as she pressed her body to his, wrapping her arms around his torso tightly, holding onto him. "I know you're a maniacal bastard, Gin. I can see it in your eyes."
She looked up at him. "I have seen it, and I lived it with you, but I still say... you would have never done any of this had it not been for Aizen."
She smiled warmly at him, "I have also said, I know you are no angel. No one is, and I won't judge you for your past and the actions you took. I know you're better then that."
Gin held her closely. "How can you be so sure when I am not?" he whispered, voice tremulous. "How can you be that brave and trusting of me, dearest?"
She smiled, "I am still here. As is Ran and Izuru. You have a son on the way. If you were truly like that man you claimed as your master. Wouldn't we all be dead? Why would you want those ties? Dead would be the only way you would be free of us, and you know that, but still here I stand pregnant with your child and Ran and Izuru still live and breath in the Soul Society." She paused a fear feeling her heart as a tear rolled down her cheek.
"But I know I still have that chance of you running off and leaving us all behind." She cast her eyes down turning her head slightly. "Something I cannot stop if you do."

Gin’s heart clenched at the sight of her being so vulnerable for him. For a moment, he was at loss what to do to make her smile again, but then he strode forward and bent down to his knees, tugging her close and kissing her stomach through her clothes. “I wont leave, Kita," he murmured against her body. "Not any further than this. Which I could do little to prevent. And the reason for that is right before me.” He stayed like that, head against the rise of her stomach and then rose again. He pulled her close, feathering with kisses along her face. Finally, he pulled back. “The wonder of your love and the miracle of Sojiro is not something I can toss aside, dear heart. Be strong.”
As if waiting for those word to come forth, Gin’s outline thinned, pierced by the sunlight shimmering down on them. Birdsong rose up with the rising wind. Gin raised his head, as if hearing something she couldn't, and then looked back at her, his trademark smirk filling his face.
“Kita, I will return.”

She stood before him looking into his eyes as she smiled for him again. "If I could find a way to get you out of this coma, I would. I would bring you back. All for selfish needs." She sniffled, shaking her head. "That is so wrong of me, I know, but I miss everything about you." She reached up, touching his cheek.
"Even that crazy mad rage of yours that scares the life out of me."

Gin grinned. "I am sure there will be times you can see it again." He frowned and gathered her into his arms. "Hang in there, dearest. Remember that many care for you, and this crooked fox confessed his love for you. He will find a way back to you...."
He faded away, still holding her, and Shinsou wrapped around her, taking her from the inner realm, back to her dreams. Eyes open peering across the room, Kita pulled her blankets up around her face, snuggling down into them a sad but joyful tear trickling down her cheek as she mumbled in her half awakened state. "I will find a way to bring you back, my love. I promise."
She closed her eyes once more and followed a happier trail into her dreams.~END RP~ "Caging the Captain":
