Kita shook her head as the Quincy faded from view. Looking above her she let her eyes graze over Ulquiorra, then turned from him as she started to walk in the direction of Orihime's apartment. It was their final stop and Kita wanted to get back to Las Noches as soon as possible. She was growing annoyed and fatigued. She just wanted a hot shower and a soft pillow to rest her head on.
Not feeling Ulquiorra coming closer to her she called out to him. "Are you coming or are you just going to hang around up there the rest of the night?"
Ulquiorra folded his arms as he approached. "It may have escaped your notice that you are glowing, but I was attempting to verify it as a trick of the light from above." As the woman blinked at him, he rolled his eyes. "The Quincy did something to you, something you are failing to see."
Kita extended her hands out in front of her flipping them over to look at the backs of them. A soft powder blue light emitted from them. Her eyes narrowed as she growled in her throat.
"That bitch! She is trying to purify the darkness in me, purge it from my heart." She then giggled softly letting her hands drop to her sides again, she looked to Ulquiorra and turned on the balls of her feet and started forward again. "It won't work. It is not the darkness that leads me. It is my own hatred that I have carried in my heart for mankind for decades."
She did not wait for Ulquiorra to reply, or even breath as she barked an order at him. "Move your ass! I want to get this over with. I want to go home sometime today."

Ulquiorra followed behind her, eyes on the figure marching ahead of him. His deep green eyes narrowed. I wouldn't be so sure of that, my lady. Given the chance to end someone's life, someone who was saving the rabble from the death gifted them, you chose to spare her. There may yet be some chance you could change your mind. If given the chance. His eyes lowered to the glow flowing from the skin of her arms, going so far as to erase some of the blood coating her robes. Or the assistance.
It would be something he would have to report to Aizen. Out of Kita's earshot. Or the Snake's.

"Dawning Days": (finale) Karakura Town was noisy, construction everywhere. Large trucks shuffling down the dusty roads with debris, buckets on tall cranes with engineers pulling apart or cutting away tangled power lines, even groups of men in orange hats slowly lifting panes of glass to repair broken display cases. He paused. Fished out a wad of ones for a donation jar. He shoved it inside. And continued down the road. Heading for the other side of town. The hum of dump trucks backing into demoed lots and the thud of tractors breaking stone echoed in his head. It got quieter, and Ichigo took his time. Feet dragging on the cracked sidewalks, long hair whipping around his lowered head, mind somewhere else. Every few moments, he stopped, kneeled and lifted a cracked bottle with trampled flowers. His dark eyes narrowed. “Sorry,” he whispered, “I’ll bring new flowers another time.” Though the ghosts who would have been attached to the sites had already been purified. It was just something small he could do. Since he remained. Ichigo halted at the end of block. Sighed. and continued to his destination. He couldn’t put it off any longer. Not when the site would be destroyed soon. Moved

"Trouble at Home Front" (continued):
On a hospital roof on the other side of town, Yuzu cried out and flash-stepped backwards. Falling to one knee as something tugged her down, her eyes shut and she lashed out with a palm full of white energy. The nearby hollow materialized, roaring as his tail retracted from her and one bloody spike rolled away. Yuzu's hand went to her bleeding shoulder, eyes searching for something else.
Out of the corner of her eyes, a little boy scurried behind a container. She smiled faintly. Good. He needed to go home. She rolled as the hollow's tail slashed at her. The beast was another unusual one, and though she had hesitated in taking it on her own, she'd changed her mind when she'd seen the soul in one of its arms. There had been no time to waste. And she could use the practice. A slight tremor shook her arm from the wound as she formed a new bow in her hand. Yuzu's hand clenched. Either, the scrape was deeper than she feared and affecting her nerves or she'd found a poisonous one. She dipped the arrow into a disk hidden under her nurse's outfit. "But I don't have to get close now." The creature turned to look at her. "And if I leave you alive much longer, my boyfriend is going to come running and hurt you." She let the arrow fly. The beast swat at it and set himself aflame. "Farewell." Returning her powers to her necklace, Yuzu slumped against the wire fence. "Just a moment to rest..."
"Is Big Sister alright?" Yuzu gave a wane smile in reply. "I'm fine, dear. Just sleepy."

A soft breeze flowed over her. “That was a good tactic,” Raelin murmured as she alighted on the roof next to Yuzu, “but foolish execution.” Her wings folded behind her. “If you had shot him, he wouldn’t have harmed the child or yourself.”
“The soul inside would cease to exist though…” Yuzu whispered, wiping her brow. “The fire, Kisuke’s weapons, then he gets another chance. If my arrows don’t take his final bit of life force, then...” She fell silent.
Raelin didn’t reply but stretched a hand over the bleeding shoulder. “You’ve been poisoned. It’s probably why you have a fever.” Her hand started to glow. “Stand still.” Her fingers probed the slash, feeling for the source of the infection.
Yuzu winced. “Your powers are coming back.”
Raelin stayed silent for a few moments. “The angelic ones have been since Ichimaru woke up.”

“Then with your defensive abilities returning, you’ll be leaving us soon,” Yuzu murmured. As the dizziness faded, she rose and turned to her friend and mentor. “You don’t have to, you know. Leave, I mean. You seemed so lonely when you lived on the outskirts of town. And Kita showed you a bunch of places near her house. You could live in one of those places, if you want.”
When Realin remained silent, Yuzu busied herself by adjusted the rip in her shirt. “I don’t mean to badger you, you know.”

Raelin nodded. “I know you don’t, Yuzu. It’s just a matter of fact that you Kurosakis are too kind for your own good. Your brother tries to save everyone he fights. Karin doesn’t really fit in after the disaster of the takeover, but she’s devoted herself to helping the young around here to be able to defend themselves better. And you,” she smiled and tucked a curl behind Yuzu’s lowered head. “You just want everyone to be happy.”
“And safe,” Yuzu whispered.
Raelin chuckled. “I think happiness means being safe, too.” She took the woman’s hands in hers. “I’m grateful for the friendship you’ve given me and I’m grateful for being included while I have been here. But Kisuke Urahara was right that day. It’s not-”
“It’s not safe with Aizen or his creations out there,” Yuzu interrupted, a slight scowl forming on her face.
Raelin waited. “It’s not just about your family’s safety – even if you do have a way of getting out of trouble that rivals almost everyone. It’s more about our heritage.” She paused. “Your mother was Misaki Kurosaki. One of the last noble lines of Quincies still out there. Her powers shine through you. Not your father’s taint. And if I were to stay close to you for much longer, you risk becoming entangled in the Quincy miasma if someone does remember or come for me." She stepped back. "Your heritage could become a curse - if someone like the past Quincy leader recruited you. They could take you away."

Yuzu folded her arms. “Is that what you’ve been hiding from me? Since we started training? That you were worried you would drag me into the war of the Quincy?” When her friend stayed quiet, Yuzu’s frown deepened. “Somehow I don’t think that’s everything, but if that is what you want to share, let me say something too.”
She took a breath. “There’s already a war that I’m in the middle of, Rae. My brother’s the famous Substitute and the enemy’s got an interest in my sister, too. Not to mention,” she folded her arms behind her, “my boyfriend is a former espada.”
Raelin sighed. “This is different.”
Yuzu shook her head. “Not to me, it isn’t, and that means you need to stop worrying about me and think about what will make you happy. Because I don’t care if things get complicated because you’re nearby."

Raelin shook her head. Yuzu didn’t understand, and perhaps, because of her distance, she couldn’t. If it was that simple, Uryu wouldn’t have left her behind. A messenger would have approached Kita Miyamoto, and the leader wouldn’t have allowed the rape of Evita Aizen. But that was before war after war, battle after battle, further fractured her people. Before they had started to die out…
And Raelin was an Angel, the prized secret of the Quincies. It was only a matter of time before her people returned her to the shadows. Unless something happened to changed the fatalistic perspective.
Raelin turned, wings fanning around her.
Then jolted as something wrong vibrated against her senses. Yuzu flinched. And then stepped back.
Raelin's wings flared up, returning to their pure form, and then faded. Raelin, half in a daze, not understanding the flare of hollow power, adjusted the grip on her steel bow. Then, she remembered.
Her eyes narrowed and she took off in a flash step. Moved

"Hamartia II":Koga folded his hands behind his back, a plain look on his face. Karakura was quiet. His eyes narrowed as it began to rain. Thunder sounded in the distance. Koga took a step forward. Just one step forward as a strange figure appeared before him. Koga looked over the strange, armor clad figure before him.
"Kosami Shigeki." said Koga. "You're early."
Koga's eyes narrowed further as the figure pulled an oddly shaped cylindrical object from his waist. The figure said nothing as he pointed the object at the Ayakashi. A grin tugged on Koga's lips. Lighting struck behind them as the rain began to come down harder.
"And, now begins the fall." grinned Koga as the figure charged toward him.

Kosami stopped several feet away from the hollow. His smell bothered him. "The fall of whom, may I ask? We are not going to end. Not here." Kosami raised his palm, showing a glowing arrow like insignia. "Not by you."
"I have seen what becomes of you. What becomes of the Quincy and the Shinigami. You may find peace in knowing that your people will be the last die."
Kosami lowered his hand. "I did not come to fight you, Hollow."

Koga smiled, as he stepped away from the Bount. He shifted in form, taking the form of a massive black owl. The owl screeched loudly as it stretched its wings wide. Koga lowered his head, its massive eyes looking at the Bount.
"Watch your city burn." said Koga, his voice echoing inside the Bount's mind.
Koga took off, flying toward the city.Moved

Bleach Unrated: REBOOTEDCurrent Arc: RejectionEpisode 462 "Handsome Rescuer": Yuzu skipped out of the grocery outlet with her bags in hand. Yesterday, Dad had piled everyone into a car for a day trip. He came up with several several reasons. Evita was going to school like his kids did. Ichigo was moving out and they couldn’t do this again. Aizen finally got a bite of karma. She didn't really recall which one her siblings bought. Ichigo had been coming down the stairs with another box of stuff he didn't need and Karin had been reading on the sofa. Evita poked her head out from upstairs. In the end, after his long speech, Ichigo rolled his eyes both Karin and Evita made similar faces of disapproval. They were completely against this 'shady' event.
So, of course, Yuzu had to help win them over before Dad got all droopy eyed. It was an excellent idea to get out while they were all safe and sound. Ichigo tried to counter that they had nothing packed, only for Dad to grab him in a headlock, taking that for his acceptance and dragging him off to the car after explaining that he had packed everything the night before.
When had she missed that? She shrugged. She wasn't always as alert these days. That's why she'd burned her fingers a couple times cooking already. Anyway, Dad packed too much leaving the house bare. Karin called Dad an idiot when they got back and Yuzu agreed to go shopping.
She started as rain started falling down outside the awning. And here she was daydreaming. Again.
"Oh dear," a woman next to her moaned. Yuzu immediately turned around. "What's wrong, Ma'am?"
"Oh it's nothing too bad, dear," the woman explained. "I left my umbrella at home. I thought it was in the bag, but my grandson must have took it out when he was playing on the couch. Now, I'll have to call my daughter to get me home." "Don't worry about that," Yuzu replied, reaching into her own bag. "Here, take mine. Ladies like yourself shouldn't be out in the wet for long. Get home safe."
"Oh dear, I can't do that. You'll have nothing for yourself." Yuzu beamed and stepped into the rain. "I like the rain. Don't worry about me."
"Well, if you insist," the old lady murmured, not wanting to stall her, "please get home quickly and get warm. I'd hate for you to catch a cold." She hesitated as the rain echoed around them and opened the umbrella, shuffling out. Yuzu waved, waiting until she got out of sight and then started to dash down the street. "It's a little cold, but it's for a good cause!"

Standing under a lamp post, umbrella in hand, and protecting himself from the rain, Vacanze waited. He had stopped by the house and Karin had told him where he could find Yuzu. Though he never expected to see her give up her umbrella to a little old lady, then sprint home like a racehorse.
As she darted past him, he called out to her. "Hey, little girl! Want to share my umbrella." He stayed hidden under his umbrella when he heard her steps slow, then stop and turn to look his direction.
He lifted off the lamp post and tilted the umbrella so as to see her better. He had a wide joyous smile across his lips. "I take that as a yes."

“Vacanze!” Yuzu’s eyes lit up but the rain drowned out most of her ecstatic cry. Any other time she would have blushed, embarrassed, at that much volume from her in the open, but she couldn’t help it now. She was just so happy that he was safe and here. She leapt towards him and wrapped her arms around him, her bags of groceries swinging and squeezing as much as she could. She could get more eggs or turn the bread into croutons if they were damaged.
If she waited any longer, he might disappear again just as he had in her dreams.
“I missed you, you gorgeous dummy!”
