"Last Six Months": (continued) Naomi was out alone that afternoon deep in thought as she was picking fruit from a few of the trees that grew in the courtyard. It had been six months since they were brought to the Maze. Six long, hard months for them. They struggled and fought with not only with the hollows that stalked the Maze waiting for their beckoning into the God forsaken Maze, but with their fellow comrades as well. Kairo and Tsukiro had went to blows a few times over petty things as well as hard core fights over the Goddess' vessel. It was driving Kairo crazy that Tsukiro was falling for the vessel all over again since her change, and Kairo was certain this was not something that would be permanent with her. He only worried for his best friend, but Tsukiro was so in love with the woman you could not get him to see that. Kairo, himself, was going through some odd changes as well.
Slowly he was pulling away from everyone, including her. This broke her heart seeing him go through this. She tried to help him the best she could, but it was like he was shutting down. Like he was welcoming the darkness into his heart just as Aizen was wanting them all to do.
She plucked an apple from the branch above her lowering it as she looked at the lovely shade of red that bleed through the peel. She sighed softly and dropped it into one of the homemade baskets she and the other women had made. Food was getting to be limited for them even with the food that was sent in by the outside. Without some place to keep it it went to waist quickly if it was not all eaten in one day. She was not sure what Aizen's plan was to do first. Beat them into submission, starve them into submission or just kill them out right. Whatever it was he was not going to win. Whatever it took they would fight until the bitter end, and she was not going to let the man she loved slip away so easily. She would fight until her last breath was drawn.
With a heavy sigh and another bright red apple dropped into the basket, she fell against the tree trunk and slid to the ground below her. Her head tipped back against the trunk as she looked up into the courtyard canopy.
"Where is our saviors now Kisuke Urahara? Why have they not spared us this fate?" She sighed as her head fell forward to her knees. "Where are you Miyamoto... Ichimaru?"

From the shadows of the wall, Kairo’s jade eyes softened as his lover started picking fruit and then fell to the ground, close to tears. She really didn’t need to go through this. And he wasn’t talking about their current situation. At least they were together. At least she was still with her friends. No, he was talking about her observant nature about his choice. Tsukiro was falling for Kita all over again, no matter how much Kairo pummeled him over it being a mistake, temporary, or a way Aizen or his cronies could further exploit him, Tsukrio didn’t care. Any pain would be worth it to his friend if she would just look at him like that one more time. It was leaving him wide open for being torn up and falling into some trap. And leaving all his fellows behind. As his lieutenant, as his shadow from birth, Kairo had to be prepared for that. Even if it made his lover weep, his duty was to Tsukiro Ashimitsu. To the end. Kairo looked to his lavender-haired beauty one more time and turned around, walking along the wall. A cold smirk flickering over his features. It was in situations like this that their grim surroundings were a blessing in disguise. Burying his emotions. Fading to the persona of his first life. As a faceless assassin of the night, there was little room for right or wrong. All that mattered was the goal. And a faint hope to save the brighter day. "It is what must be done...." Fade

"Revealed": (continued) Karin didn't stop until she was covered in the shadows, panting, eyes aflame, and hands clenched at her sides. She had promised not to cry. Ever Again. Cursing beneath her breath, Karin stripped her torn shirt off, tossed it to the side, and screamed. Still upset, she threw a fist into a tree, making fruit fall. Sighing, she lowered her hand.
Her hair slipped free of her ponytail and flowed down her back.
She brushed it to one side and turned around, falling to slump at the foot of the same tree.
She hated being trapped.
And not being able to protect her family.
And ....
"Damn freaks!" Karin growled, throwing a twig. "I am not your plaything!"
The twig broke in half against the trunk nearby.
It helped.
She picked up another and snapped it in her hands.
She wasn't weak.

Appearing in the trees above her Ilian leaped to the ground in front of her as she looked to the ground where she had dropped the stick she just broke in two. "Hello Baby doll. Sorry it took me so long to come back for you. Little Bird is quite the handful."
As the female rolled to her side, pushing up off the ground quickly. Ilian grabbed her by the back of her neck slamming her back against the tree. He drew close to her licking her cheek as he held her in place with his hand flat against her upper chest. He looked down at her shapely figure and grinned widely.
"I have missed you."

Karin glared at the twin who had tormented her years ago. “Well I haven’t,” she bit out. As Ilian smirked and looked down at her shapely chest, she slammed her head into his and kicked him when he stumbled. She ducked his retaliation, flipping around the tree, and pulling a branch back to swing at him. “That’s for her,” she called back, weaving around another tree. “And I’m never—”
A pale hand latched onto her wrist for the second time that day. In a blur, the twin had yanked her back and twisted her arm behind her back, holding her against him.
“—Ever going,” Karin declared through gritted teeth, free hand clenching.

He pulled her closer and whispered in her ear. "I am on a time limit, Baby doll. It seems Ichimaru had a previous engagement and had to run off. The gate will close soon and we won't be able to go home." He lifted his hand and knocked her out cold.
Lifting her over his shoulder he took to the tree again, going to the canopy gate above them.

“Karin,” Kairo called out, “Kita, Tsukiro and I are going to do some hand-to-hand training. We thought maybe with your emotional baggage, Tsukiro’s words, not mine, that you would like to— Damn ayakashi,” he snarled, eyes turning into lead as the figure disappeared into the gate with Karin on his back, “don’t you have anything better to do?!”
He whirled around to tell the others and saw a broken branch. His eyes narrowed and he took a deep breath. There was nothing he could do about it in his current state.
And his anger would only make his captain’s worse.
He paused as Kita and Tsukiro appeared in front of him. "Someone slipped by us. Again," he reported.

Tsukiro glared daggers at his best friend. “We just let her out of our sight for five minutes. How—” He stopped his questions, more aware than ever of how an Ayakashi had gotten past their guard. Again. He reached up and fingered the collar around his neck, wincing as it sparked a warning.
It didn’t numb the rage at them having done this.
To another friend.
Kita tugged his hand away from his collar. “It’s not your fault, Tsuki. Trust me. The twins have been after Karin for a while. It’s only taken so long because of Soul Society’s chaos.”
“That doesn’t make me feel any bettter,” Tsukiro muttered, folding his arms.
“I am saying that Karin would prefer being kidnapped without more people being hurt after Aizen’s threat.”
Tsukiro looked aside. That made him feel worse. Because, again, she was acting just as he would. Getting guilty after he’d messed up. Not wanting to involve others. Hating being cornered. He ran a hand through his hair. A little unhinged when something breaks the family unit.
“Ichigo won’t be happy about this.”

Kita embraced him resting her head to his chest as she fought back her tears. "I am sorry Tsuki. I thought this would be best for everyone. I am starting to see this was a bad idea. I put you all in more harms way then if you were still out there fighting for your lives."
She heard Kairo scoff as he mumbled. "Caged tempers are better than loose ones."
Kita turned and looked to Kairo. "Maybe, but at least out there you can fight. Not in here. It only brings death faster."

Tsukiro looked to his lieutenant and best friend once more before wrapping his arms around his love. “It will be alright, Kita. We’re alive and thanks to the maze that surrounds us, and your healing powers, we’re fit. We will be able to fight again.” He held her close, kissing her forehead. He glanced to the canopy where friends kept disappearing.
“And we’ll avenge those that have been taken from us.”
He kissed her head again. “You sure you don’t want to leave Sojiro with us? Izuru won’t let me spoil him too much.”

Kita hugged him in return. "He wants to be close to me and I can understand that." She parted from the hug slightly and looked up at him. "He will be coming with me to visit he misses you all as well."
Tsukiro nodded. "I'm sure we will all like that." He looked up and growled. "And maybe he'll give me the key to dissecting his sperm donor." Kita could not help but giggle softly at his statement. "Come on." She tugged at his hand as she stepped away from him heading back to the others. "And yes Gin can be an ass." She sighed. "A rather big one at times, but he does have his good points."
Tsukiro raised his eyebrows. "Name one that is actually reasonable or I will tie you up in my hut until you come to your senses." Kita stopped walking, blinked and looked back at him with a smirk across her lips. "That could be fun if you think about it." She giggled softly as Kairo laughed with her. "She has a good point there." Kairo added. Before Tsukiro could add anything to their comments Kita looked to him and answered his question. "He hates Aizen as much if not more than we do."
"That doesn't count," Tsukiro countered. "Over half of his espada hate him. That makes him sane. That has nothing to do with his reasonableness." Kita became sober a moment of silence surrounded them as a tear trickled down her cheek. "He kept me alive. Even when Aizen ordered him to do otherwise. He protected me."Tsukiro opened his mouth and then looked away, his hand reaching for hers. "Let's go talk to Ichigo. I'll refrain from killing him for now." Taking his hand Kita smiled softly at him, but her mind was not on the man in front of her leading her back to her friends and family. It was on the man they were talking about just seconds before...
Gin Ichimaru...
She had almost forgotten about that fact with Gin. If not for Tsukiro asking that question, would she have in time completely forgotten it? ... She looked up to the Control room of the Maze... What else had she put out of her mind from her first visit... What else has she forgotten about the man that was the father of her son?

" Searching The Maze Ruins": (continued) The irritation was slowly getting to the Espada as he snapped one of the trees in half with a backhand, "This little brat hides a fucking box and it is impossible to find," Grimmjow growled with irritation, "Its like trying to find a needle in a FUCKING HAY STACK!" He ceroed in a direction and shattered several trees before he heard the ray hit water.
His irritated look faded slightly as he walked over to the water's edge. He stepped into the water and submerged himself in it before poking his head back out, he scanned the water's surface, "Alright I'm tired of doing this shit simple." He shot out of the water and fired a cero into the trees. He jumped and fired a cero at the ground and started to rip apart the forest as best as he could, a crazy glint in his eyes.
Grimmjow shoved his hand into the ground as he released another Cero, shattering the ground around him. A grin was spread across his face as the ground started to crumble under him, "I'll find it even-" He cut himself off as he managed to see something unfamiliar fly across the sky in the corner of his eye. Grimmjow quickly sonidoed towards the object, catching it in his hands. His crazy eyes lit up as he tried to open it, quickly, it turned to frustration and soon was nothing but anger.
"Why won't this fucking box open!" He growled, trying to open it again with another failed attempt. He raised his hand as he held the box in his other. Before he could bring his hand down on the box he froze with a thought, 'I don't want to destroy what is inside.' His eyes narrowed as he sonidoed away from the destruction zone he had just created.Moved
