He kissed the top of her head holding her close as he looked to the others. "I have marked and tagged Las Noches for our return--"
Hisagi drew his sword cutting Kisuke off and grinned widely. "When do we leave?"
Kisuke smirked looking his way. "No time soon. Our first act is to release Ichimaru from his cell."
"What about the others?" Yoruichi asked wiping away a tear.
Kisuke kissed her cheek and smiled. "Believe it or not they are safe and we need them there to help us get through this." He looked away from her. "I spoke to Sumi just before we got here. She has informed me of the changes taking place in the palace while we are gone and the well being of them all. While I was talking to her I ask her if she would locate our Ice Captain, and when she found him to send him our way."
"And..." Shinji questioned.
"She is finding Toshiro, said she would keep the captive safe and keep me updated on what is going on in the palace."

Sajin growled, slamming one of his larges fists into the wall beside him. "I do not care about you marking Las Noches. Or, finding the Captain who has abandoned us." He slammed his fist into the wall again, shaking the house.
"You stand before me, embracing your wife and speaking on the safety of your child. All of that while Ryo's safety, as well has all of ours, is in question!" The nine foot Captain growled loudly, closing his eyes. He inhaled deeply, calming himself.
"Take me to Las Noches."

“We cannot and will not,” Juushiro spoke in a soft firm voice. “You going there now will only result in you being locked away like Kenpachi. You will NOT win with the situation that is before us now.” He sighed. “Your wife will be in even worse shape if you attempted to free her and failed, leaving your children behind. I know it’s difficult but-“
“You have NO IDEA how difficult!” Sajin snarled.
“Yes, I do,” Juushiro replied before anyone else could intervene. “The one I call daughter is falling deeper and deeper in Sousuke’s thrall and ANYTHING I tried only deepened her pain. And they may not have been my children, but I could do little for Kenji, Sojiro, OR Evita, either. This war has been filled with terible crosses, Sajin. Do not throw yours around and fall into the enemy’s trap.” He lowered his head.
"You were spared to protect something. Remember that. And know that it is easier than being a silent beacon of hope in a near barren world."
He rose. "My throat is tightening. I will be back shortly after I get some air."

Eavesdropping from the hall, Mayuri walked into the room looking around as he saw the Captain Commander, Captain Ukitake, and Kisuke in the room with the others gathered around them. "Are the markings and the tags to find your way back? Because I have sent a number of scouts out to Las Noches." He rubbed his chin his eyes reverting upward as he looked to the ceiling. "Some have returned some not so lucky. Though their tracking devices are still in tack and working and showing they are in the palaces."
He looked to the Shopkeeper. "The ones that have returned said they cannot find the palace it was like it disappeared off the surface of the sand."

Kisuke looked to the mad scientist as he stood across the room. "Who or what have you sent out as scouts? If it is not a familiar to Las Noches they will never find it." Mayuri grinned, "I have sent both. It could be the reason they have not returned. I tagged a few of the lesser hollows I trapped and sent them back. I figured if they were capable of hiding the palace we should still be able to find it this way."Kisuke chuckled sitting Yoruichi to the couch next to him and stood. "I am glad you are on our side, Kurotsuchi." He crossed the floor. "And no the markers and tags are not to find our way back. They are to make them think. The real surprises are right under their very noses and they are none the wiser." He stopped in the middle of the room and looked to each one. "We move in to get Ichimaru out as soon as Toshiro shows. Once he is free we will cover the attack plans." His eyes looked to each one again. "I am sorry but everyone of you will be put under the microscope to prove you are who you say you are, and to keep that trust factor in place you will be given a code word or phrase if doubt ever rises." He fell silent for a short second. "We can't take any chances on information leaking out to Aizen or Tervaden. I want this to end, and this will be our last and final rebellion. If this fails. We all are as good as dead." His eyes searched each face as heads nodded and hums of agreeing echoed around him. "Good. Lets get some rest. We all have a busy day tomorrow proving you are who you are." He extended his hand to Yoruichi as she stood walking toward him taking his hand, the two left the room as she lead him to her room. |
