Her head tucked down between her knees and body, her hands combed into her hair at the sides of her head, her body trembling. Kita sobbed softly. All her memories returned. She remembered the soul society and her time spent there. Her time at the shop with Tsukiro and all her friends, soul reapers and humans. Memories she did not even know existed. Her mind thumbed through them quickly like they were flashing before her eyes. When one suddenly froze in the animation of the flash.
"Tsukiro..." his name quietly spoken as the tears started to flow freely once more. "What have I done?"
Her heart started to pound, aching like someone had wrapped their hand around it and was squeezing it tightly.
"I...I..."

Sumi reached over touching Kita's arm gently. "Kita, how do you feel?"
Kita jerked away from her as she tumbled from the bed. Quickly she scampered up and grabbed the sheet that did not follow and wrapped it around her. She now stood looking at Sumi through narrowed eyes.
"You bitch!" Kita growled at her.
Sumi stood and stepped toward her. "You call me the bitch when this is what you wanted?"
Kita shook her head. "You didn't?" Sumi asked her.
"I did not want to hurt Tsukiro like this!" Kita yelled at her. "This is your fault!"
"What happened; was meant to be. I had nothing to do with what happen between you and Ichimaru." She stepped closer to Kita as Kita stepped back from her. "I keep telling you that I have nothing to do with your actions and feelings. You are your own person. I have nothing to do with anything when it comes to your personality, your emotions or your actions. You are not my puppet that I control."

Kita's hand drew to her head as she cast her eyes down. "But you did! If you would not have sealed my memories this never would have happen between me and Gin! I would have never fallen in love with him knowing how much I loved Tsukiro."
"Is that what you think?" Sumi asked her.
Kita's head shot up a nasty look in her eyes. "YES!!" Kita nearly screamed at her.
"So does this mean you love the father of the child you're carrying any less?" Sumi asked.
"NO! But..." Kita hesitated.
"But?" Sumi asked her.
Kita's head dropped in defeat Sumi stepping closer to her. "You do realize and remember everything that has happened in the last year and an half, correct?"
Kita's hand rose to her head again and nodded.
"Tsukiro walked away from you. He left you in your most vulnerable of times."
"But it was because he could not handle what was going on!" Kita yelled at her.

Sumi chuckled, "yes. Of course. We can't forget about how Tsukiro felt. Lets not stop to think about how you may have felt. No. Lets not do that at all. After all, Ichimaru bare enough of the concern. Why should Tsukiro worry about taking any of the responsibility on of the woman he loved." Her hand waved nonchalantly as she brushed past Kita.
"You do know Tsukiro used you to fill the emptiness for the loss of his mother and brother? Sure. In time he did fall in love with you, but did he really love you?"
Kita jerked her head around looking at Sumi as she walked around the other side of her.
"You two never saw eye to eye. He is immature and was going nowhere in his life and all because he felt sorry for himself. It was like he thought you held all the answers to his life and you could have help him no more than he could have helped himself."
Sumi stepped around Kita and stood in front of her, their eyes meeting.
"And even after your heartfelt note you left for him after the two of you shared a beautiful night together. He dare to go and find a new lover."
Kita's eyes widened as Sumi continued. "He dumped you. Then made love to you. You confessed to him with the note. He found another and threw you away. Yet again."

Kita shook her head quickly. "Leave me alone." Kita told her. "I...I don't know anymore." She fought back the tears that so badly wanted to drop. Sumi waved her hand toward Kita in a dismissive way as she started to fade from sight. "Learn to practice what you preach, Kita. You can't stop the inevitable from occurring." Kita dropped to her knees clutching the sheet to her chest her other hand tangled in her hair as Sumi's voice still danced in the room."It happened because it was meant to be. The darkness and the light will always go hand in hand.""LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Kita screamed at her.

"A Parent's Vow":Kita had just gotten done making lunch for herself and Sojiro as she went to sit down with her first born and enjoy their food together. No sooner then she lifted her fork, Kadaj cried out; waking from his nap. It was time for his lunch. Kita smiled at Sojiro with a soft giggle.
“Just like you,” she pushed her chair back and stood. “And everyone wonders why I am so thin. My children don’t like for me to eat a warm meal.” She poked fun as she walked toward the room where Kadaj was resting in his bassinet.Sojiro chuckled softly, “Sorry mom.” He watched her as she disappeared into the bedroom.Walking to the foot of the bed where Kadaj was in his bassinet she peeked in at him. “Hey there little man.” In hearing her voice Kadaj’s little head turned looking at his mother. “Are you hungry?” Kita lifted him from his bed and rested him over her shoulder. The soft gust of air from his blanket filled Kita’s senses. Her heart fell heavy as she sat heavily back to the beds edge causing her to bounce. Her eyes closed as she pulled Kadaj closer to her.
“Vale…” tears pooled in her eyes. “Why did you leave?” Her eyes opened as she looked to Chinmoku that was resting peacefully against Kadaj’s bassinet. “I miss you.”
She nuzzled into Kadaj and his blanket taking a deep breath. “I won’t let him be without you. I promise you Kadaj. You will know your father and he will help mold you into a fine young man. I won’t let what happen to your older brother and his father. Happen to you and your father. I won’t.” She pulled back from Kadaj and looked into his eyes. “This is my vow to you and your father.”
Kadaj smiled, his little arms reaching out as he took hold of his mother’s long raven hair. She smiled at him warmly and kissed his forehead. In the next second Kadaj was crying again for his lunch. Kita giggled softly. “Like your father. Impatient.”
She adjusted him in her arms and situated them both for his feeding. She rocked him slowly humming a soft tune as she caressed his smooth head of dark hair, just like she did with Sojiro. Her heart heavy again.
“Just like with Sojiro.” She whispered.
A tear rolled down her cheek falling to Kadaj’s little hand that was still wrapped in her hair.

"Peace of Mind For The Rogue": (Continued) "Vale only asked Sumi for the night. I am not sure what will take place in the morning." Kita told her. By the time Kita had entered the master bedroom Kadaj was fast asleep in her arms. Gently and slowly she placed him in the bassinet making sure he was covered well so not to get chilled. As she turned Yumiko walked in the room closing the door behind her. Kita turned to her as she placed her index finger over her lips. "Shh..." Kita whispered softly.
She then turned and walked over to the closet in the room. Opening the doors she revealed a closet full of clothing. From kimono's to everyday street clothing of a human. Beneath the clothes that were hung was a dresser. Kita turned and looked at Yumiko gesturing to the clothing and spoke softly so not to wake Kadaj. "I think you can find something in here. We are pretty much the same size except in the chest. Feel free to put on whatever you like."
Kita turned back to the closet and opened a drawer. Lifting out two men's shirts draping them over her arm she turned back and smiled at Yumiko. "I will leave you to dress." Kita walked past her over to the bassinet once more.

“Kita…” the noble called after her. She saw her shadow pause. “If something happens, please forgive me. I didn’t mean- I mean- I should have stayed away from Vale even if- I didn’t mean to endanger the children with my actions.” She played with the sleeve of a cream kimono with sakura blossoms scattered across it. “Vale and I were talking. His questions led to more… and then he asked." She let the sleeve go, pausing at a turquoise one. "I- I should have left it at that and returned to Aizen. The balance you had created wouldn’t have broken if I had.”
She reached for a dark blue kimono with a mountain and snow pattern and pulled it out. Reaching into the drawers, she unfolded an obi, a red one, and carefully set it back into its place. She didn't want to wear that color at the moment. A grey one seemed to fit too. She slowly pulled it out from the others. "If something happens, I'll make it up to you," Yumiko whispered. "I promise."

Kita turned and looked at her a serious look on her face. "Yumiko. Don't apologize for how you feel. You love Vale and he--" Kita hesitated looking quickly away from Yumiko as she bit her lower lip. She looked down at Kadaj reaching in the bassinet and pulling at the covers that did not need any more tending to. "Vale loves you." She choked back any emotion welling up inside of her and looked to Yumiko once more with a bright smile.
"He is happy. He has every thing he ever wanted. A family." Kita adjusted the shirts on her arm as she turned from the bassinet walking toward the door. "Everything will turn out for the best. Vale will make sure of it." She reached for the door handle as she heard Yumiko speak up again.

“I hope so…. and I hope whatever pain your trying to hide … the both of you…. fades.” She closed the closet. “Kadaj is a wonderful child, and no matter how much I love Vale, I won’t get in the way of that bond between you two.” She paused. “I hope you aren’t worrying about that. Both of you.” She looked down. “I’m saying too much. Thanks for the clothes. Maybe Soji will relax now." Kita nodded and exited the room. Yumiko sighed and closed her eyes. "Please protect them. I'll give up my heart forever if their pain would end." Wiping the eye that had started tearing, Yumiko started to get dressed. Moved

"A Seraph's Return":Sumi laid Tervaden out on the bed as she turned and walked across the floor. In the past three years of being separated from her vessel so much had changed for Kita and her family. Things she could have never foreseen. One of them was laid out on the bed behind her. What he was trying to prove or do was beyond her. The man was far too confusing to her to even want to try and understand, but she made a promise to her vessel that she would protect her family and that is exactly what she was doing.
She turned and looked to Tervaden. Even if it was not the family she thought would be her vessel's choice. He did not move as he laid still on the bed, blood covering his clothing from Aizen's attack. She had guessed he exerted far too much reiatsu in his attempt to destroy the man he once called his Master and Lord, but why? Why was he trying to kill the man he once followed years ago.
She folded her hands in front of her and waited.

Seto shot up in the bed, screaming as he grabbed at his bloody kimono and face. "What the hell is this?" he shouted after he calmed a bit. He ran a hand down his face, smearing blood and tears along his face.
"What happened to me?!"
"You died." Sumi said calmly.
"No shit! Is that what that pain is?!" Seto turned around slowly. Pain coursed through his body. "What happened?"
"What were you trying to do to Aizen?" questioned Sumi as she looked at Tervaden.
Seto shook his head. "The piece of marble I placed to Aizen's chest was supposed to seal him. There was supposed to be a god stone inside to seal him."
"But, the Soul King took all of the god stones from you."
"Yeah." snapped Seto. "I kind of forgot about that."

"That was not a wise thing to do on your part." Sumi replied as she stepped toward him. "You had better be grateful I made the promise I had made to my vessel on protecting her family or you would be dead right now."
Tervaden grunted and looked over at her as she only shook her head and turned away from him. "So you have changed your name back to your previous name I see. Seto Tetsuya?" She turned back and looked to the man as he pushed over the to side of the bed swinging his feet to the floor and went to stand.
"I would not rec--" before she could finish her word of warring he had fallen back to the bed.

Seto gasped for air as the pain worsened. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Make it stop!" Seto rolled over onto his stomach, hoping the pain would lessen. "Sumi! Make it stop!"
"Why should I?" questioned Sumi. "I promise to protect my vessel's family. Not to save them from the stupidity."
"If that was the case, I would still be dead!" growled Seto. "Make it stop!"

Sumi sighed and stepped over to him resting her hand to his shoulder. "You whine like a little girl and Ichimaru bitches like a woman. When will you both act like men? Or as Urahara would say, 'Grow a set'."
She lifted her hand and turned away from him again. "Kita would have been better off with Vacanze at the rate you two are going. Other then try and seal a man you know would escape in a few months. What were trying to prove?"
